Had to try one of their breakfast mac n cheese dishes. The Mission (scrambled eggs, mac n cheese, sausage, bacon, ham) was a little overkill with the meats, and the cheese had a tinge of artificial flavor, but there was a generous amount of ingredients in there, and definitely no shortage of cheese. It was very filling, the size of the bowl could easily feed two people, I can't imagine that they could fit this into a burrito (which is offered on the menu as well). Service was instant and super friendly, and there were a couple different options for seating, including a bar offering a wide selection of alcoholic beverages.

The place was empty. Menu was decent but slightly pricey. The man at the counter stood around for a bit, then greeted me with an "hola". He looked like a deer in headlights when I tried to respond equally because my Spanish is bad. Like really bad. Which is why I can understand some mainstream dialects pretty well but I won't respond. He seemed annoyed with me once I ordered. I'd say he needs a little more customer service skills. The meals were enough for 2-3 people, which makes the price worth it. The cheese was your usual bland cheese sauce. Normally I would do something very artery clogging on my own Mac n cheese, with real cheese. I can't fault them for adding in a packet of fresh cholula. There was a good amount of meat, buried in the center of the dish. I would say this is a-ok but not the most exciting thing in the world.

I ended up getting a chicken Milanese the butcher was making fresh, looked so good! The salad bar was so incredible, basically I was in heaven. The sandwich was ABSOLUTELY INSANE. Prob the best I've had and I literally cannot wait to go back and try more. The deli side has most of the hams and offers cold sandwiches. I prefer toasted sandwiches and went to the side with the panini. Took about 10 minutes for them to make and heat it up. Solid place to grab a sandwich for a quick and go or you can eat outside the market with seats and tables.

When we arrived I told the host we had a reservation for the Patio. We were told they wanted to sit us indoors (without explanation) - fine, we prefer the patio, but were willing to sit in the dining room. Our waiter was pleasant and gave us plenty of time to order, but my mom's lunch never arrived, turns out he'd forgotten to enter it. When she did finally get it, it was good, but took so long she had most of it boxed to go. I didn't notice until my food arrived that the table at my seat was smeared with something that had dried solid, and the wall next to my chair was splattered with what I hope was coffee. I let the waiter know so they could tidy it for the next person. This isn't a fancy restaurant, but for the price, I expect it to at least be clean. After lunch I noticed the restaurant had left me a voicemail while we were eating, asking if I was still coming - I didn't answer the phone because I as literally seated at their restaurant at that time. I called them back to make sure they understood I had just been there, but they reported me to Open Table as a no-show. Disappointing.

We walked in around 8 p.m. on a Friday night without a reservation and were seated right away, though it was clearly busy--definitely recommend making a reservation, especially if you're planning to go earlier on a weekend evening. We started with a bottle of wine, and they bring out complimentary bread with an olive oil mix (dangerous if you're like me and can easily fill up on the free bread). We shared the Insalata Cesare, which they thoughtfully split for us without even asking--such a nice touch. For dinner, we ordered the Gnocchi alla Genovese and the Gamberi e Calamari Fra Diavola, and it was the perfect combo. We originally considered two pasta dishes, but I'm so glad we didn't--it would've been way too filling. The pasta was incredibly fresh and packed with flavor, and as a basil lover, this dish absolutely hit the spot. The seafood was also delicious, fresh, and perfectly cooked, and it came with a side of veggies and roasted potatoes that rounded everything out nicely. They also have both a side patio and a front patio with seating, which appeared to be heated--such a great option and would have been lovely to sit outside as well. We loved everything about this experience and will definitely be back soon!

It was actually my MIL who told us about this shop after she ordered some vegan and gluten-free ravioli from here for one of our family dinners a couple of months ago. My hubby and I loved the ravioli so much that we made a point to check out the shop ourselves during the Goombahs Car Show in Downtown Willow Glen last Sunday. They offer so many authentic Italian & Sicilian treats here, like cannoli, various desserts and cookies, gelato, a full espresso bar, freshly made pasta, panini, focaccia, cornetti, and more! They even have vegan and gluten-free options which is a huge plus in our book! It's just a sweet little slice of Italy right there in San Jose. The lady who took our pasta order was so friendly, and we were mentioning to her that something in the shop reminded us of something we had when we were in Taormina and also this great Italian cafe in Sydney, Australia (there are a lot of Italians there too!). We definitely felt the warm welcome of this family-owned business, and truly appreciate that everything here is made with high-quality ingredients imported from Italy. My MIL also ordered a beautiful cannoli cake for her grand-daughter's/our niece's 10th birthday that we were celebrating that same day, and it was loved by all, especially the little birthday girl who loooves her cannoli! Grazie mille, Dolce Sicilia!

We got some italian wines, of which they have a good size selection. They give complimentary bread which is an essential, and they were soft rolls served with butter. We got the fried calamari to start and it was great. It always hits the spot for us although I wish it had more marinara. For entrees we both got a pasta, and although the prices are high, the portions are huge! I would say almost 6 portions of pasta lol. I got the linguine alla vongole which had plenty of small clams. Decent sauce, but the pasta is not fresh/homemade. I liked my partners vodka pasta which was creamy but light. Overall a nice place to sit and eat, but there are definitely better Italian options in the city.
