Most of the pastas leaned a bit on the bland side, but a little salt easily fixes that. My favorite was the spaghetti arrabbiata cuz it had a nice hint of spice. The steak portion was huge and filled the entire container, making it a great option for takeout. I've definitely had leftovers for days. We did a company catering with them and everyone thinks it's just so so. I think some dishes are not that bad. The good ones: Meatball, Carprese, Fresh Salad with Vegan Dressing Not so good: Chicken Parmesan (came as a lasagna stack which is a bit confusing, probably needs some more sauce), Tomato Basil Pasta (lacking a bit of the tomato in the flavor), Garlic Bread (too crusty) It's a catering, so we didn't visit the restaurant. The place has a sketchy entrance since you have to go through a hallway and you aren't greeted by anyone. I had to go all way to the kitchen to get my order, but the food overall was good! The service was fast, so no complaints there. This place is one of those communal takeout spots with several different restaurants, where you have to take your food to go. It's near SJC, and the vibe is kind of off--it looks like an abandoned warehouse, which feels a bit creepy. I ordered the pappardelle Bolognese, and it was not good. If you've never had authentic Italian food and grew up like I did in the Midwest, where pasta was thrown together in 10 minutes, you might think this is fine. But as someone who's developed a refined taste for Italian food, this was just Ragu slapped on some noodles. The Bolognese was a basic red sauce with meat, overly sweet, almost like Filipino spaghetti, but not nearly as good. It's basic and definitely not worth $24. The dish came with a slice of baguette that wasn't even toasted, just plain bread, and some pesto that made no sense. I ended up throwing the pasta in a skillet, adding some leftover meat, fats, salt, and the pesto to try and salvage it, along with some buttered bread and my own garlic. All this effort because I couldn't get a proper Bolognese. There's a small but thriving Italian community here, and if you want good food, look elsewhere, because it's not happening here. read more

I have ordered a few times through Doordash especially when they have deals!! It is worth the price, the amount of pasta they provide, and includes bread!!! I feel like nowadays anything extra is an additional cost. They even include a mint with utensils and any additional garnishes like cheese. Something has changed here. Not for the better. I first tried this place with my partner since we wanted some good food late at night about 6+ months ago. We found this gem, and LOVED LOVED LOVED the seafood risotto. It was probably the best we ever had here in the states - what really made it stand out was all the TLC that the chef put into the broth, and all the seafood was cooked perfectly. This time, I don't know. Did management/ownership change? Did the cook leave? Did the recipe change? I'm not sure what happened, but this seafood risotto in my photo was not the same risotto I ate 6+ months ago. I'd like to know what happened - you went from a delicious, well seasoned broth that had so much seafood aroma built into the broth, to a broth that just barely scratched the surface in flavor. What happened? I couldn't justify why the ratings dropped after my partner pointed it out to me recently, but now I'm starting to understand why. And I'm heartbroken (as an Italian food lover). This isn't goodbye, it's just a break for now. I want to see Risotto's from back in early-mid 2021, not liking 2022 Risotto's right now. Oh boy - already had to edit this review the same night. As I finished the meal (by finish, I mean 40% of the way through it), I smelled and tasted old clams ... and after eating a few thinking maybe it was just me, I started to gag realizing they were not fresh. The carbonara I ordered was not passable, I did not enjoy it. I ordered a side of 5 meatballs for $6 and was treated to the frozen meatballs you can get by the bagfull from Costco. We love this restaurant! My teenage daughter and I always order food from here, atleast once a month-sometimes twice a month, and it's always delicious, always consistent in taste, portion, ingredients, and freshness. And the guys and gals who work there are always pretty friendly and accommodating. We have no complaints and reccomend this food to anyone who wants delicious, consistent Italian food. Knocking on people doors and everything. The restaurant claimed I needed to contact DoorDash... contacted DoorDash and they never received a order from the company. It's a scam they are literally taking people payment information from their "personal site" and saying ordered went out that never did. No longer ordering from this company ever again. I love this place. The pasta dishes are HUGE and big enough to share for 2-3 people. For the price it's absolutely a steal. They have so many different dishes with such a vast variety I never get tired of this place! And their garlic bread if seriously some of my favorite in San Jose! We tried the Burrata as an appetizer, Risotto Tutto Mare, Gnocchi Gorgonzola, provided with toasted garlic bread, and to top it off, a Hazelnut dessert. All of it tasted super tasty!
