I called in to get a stuffed turkey cuz I was THAT hungry. Unfortunately, there'd have to be four more me's in order for that kind order. Immediately afterwards the nice and quick-witted man told me of a honey roasted chicken with asparagus and 4 oz of potatoes from the lunch menu that I surprisingly found appealing in such a short time and I went for it in a snap. In the background, I was ignoring my boyfriend's tsking me to hang up becuz he thought I was being scammed or ripped off for a $16 meal for one. $14 for the food. $2 for delivery. It was a lunch order so I was asked to wait until about 11:30 for him to arrive. Sorry, I'm horrible with remembering names right off the bat so please bear with me.
He arrived at 11:23 with two plastic-wrapped brown boxes and said that my order also included a Cobb salad. I was ecstatic. I used my debit card, the transaction lasting not even a full minute when he was off and I was rushing into my house my fingers itching to unwrap my presents. The salad was evenly chopped lettuce, tomatoes, chicken, bacon, ranch dressing and what I believe was crumbled blue cheese. As I devoured the salad I was aware of the warmth and considerably heavier weight of the box beneath. I opened it to find a large chicken thigh and leg, taking up most of the box. It was nicely roasted. Not too dry or oily. I often find most grocery store-bought chickens to be quite dry in the thigh so much that I'd stop chewing because my jaw was tired, wanting to spit out what felt like a wad of paper towels in my mouth. This one on the other hand had a nice soft texture, much less getting stuck between my teeth and much more to go down my throat slippimg easily into my stomach. The asparagus was large, crunchy and sweet. It wasn't stringy or spending too much time being chewed or swallowed. The small potatoes weren't so small as to fit right into my mouth. Each one took a couple bites to consume and I loved how the skins were lightly salty and the potatoes were soft and not too oily. This meal left me feeling bloated by the time I reached the chicken which was the best saved for last. I took my time enjoying the meat as I watched a movie. Overall, five stars is not enough to fully credit the quality of my meal. I will definitely be ordering from this catering business again. I'll even tell my mom about it when Thanksgiving rolls around! read more
