$6 dollar for 3 tacos thursday!!!! Can't go wrong with that. The tacos were okay, wished they warmed the tortilla a bit more. The al pastor were okay, definitely need to drown them in salsa for my taste liking, They have my favorite drink Agua Fresca de Melon!!! 10/10 for melon.

Egg shells in the burrito. Not even going to finish the rest. Very disappointing.

AVOID THE BREAKFAST BURRITO! Came in got the breakfast burrito. To my surprise it came with an extra crunch of egg shells. It wasn't just a little it was pretty noticeable. Will never go here again. Only reason why I came in was because I needed to use the bathroom.

Taco Thursdays: 3 Chorizo Tacos for $5, what a deal!!!

I have been back here a few time since my last review. This time I got the same Caldo de Albóndigas (Mexican Meatball Soup), still as good as the the last time. They a have a Taco Thursday Special every Thursday, 3 Tacos for $5. There are 4 meats you choose from, Chorizo, Gilled Chicken, Carnitas (Pork) and Al Pastor. I got 3 Chorizo tacos and they were good, not oily and they give a good amount, take a look at the photo. I say thats the BEST deal anywhere.

Taco Thursday (3 tacos for $6) only for chicken, chorizo, carnitas, and al pastor

I went here for their Thursday Taco Special ( 3 tacos for $6) during lunch hour. This special is only for chicken, al pastor, carnitas, and chorizo. I tried the chicken, al pastor, and carnitas. All were delicious with sufficient salsa. I can see how if you take them to go, they might get soggy by the time your home. During lunch hour, there was about five people ahead of me. And the dining area was full with no seats. Despite that I got my tacos within 10'mins of ordering. Overall i do recommend this special is you like the meat selection included in this special

Casual Mexican joint in a small plaza off Dixon Landing Road Staff is friendly and accommodating. Chips and red Salsa 3.5/5 needs some lemon tang Orange Salsa 7/10 has some spicy kick and nice coloring but needs a little more flavor Pozole - 4/5 pozole broth is good - heavy with pork and chicken. Tried to get them to add tripe but they didn't understand and instead gave a sautéed mix of tripe and intestines.

    Super Burrito with Beef

3.5 stars. Their super burrito is delicious but I took away half a star because it doesn't come with chips, salsa, or any sauces. Usually that stuff is complimentary at a Mexican restaurant. Here you have to pay for sauce or salsa to go with your burrito. I wouldn't mind ordering from here to go. I probably wouldn't eat in again. They don't wipe off the tables fast enough in between customers and many of the tables have food remnants. Simple and casual ambience. Lady taking orders is friendly and efficient.

None of the shrimp were deveined. Very gritty and nasty.

I've been coming here for several years and decided to get the shrimp cocktail. This was a mistake. The taste and size were good. But they did not devein any of the shrimp. It was nasty. Definitely not worth the $18. Hopefully they fix this since everything else about the place is good.

Soggy tacos of lengua and sorry tacos of asada
    Chuy D.

I got 2 of Lengua and 1 Asada... what can I say about these tacos.. I picked them up and they ripped apart.. they used white tortillas that were soggy.. the meat was very regular with not much flavor... if you want to go on "taco Thursday" they only have meat flavors like chicken, pastor and some other meats no one orders.. no salsa in my bag, no limes, no radish, and no napkins... the ladies look good and that's probably the only reason they have a crown of all men but the service is below average.. I won't be going back to this place....

I think they need to review their own menu. My husband and wanted burritos for our movie date, he gets a regular burrito with not much detail however, I love a super burrito with everything! This place put what they wanted on it, I didn't have sour cream, guacamole and barely any meat bug lots of rice and I said light beans but it was plenty beans I guess to camouflage the meat. So of course had to eat it while at our movie and I was hungry. Plus spending $16 for it. Was almost done and no sour cream or guacamole in site! Just very disappointed, we live close but will not support them again.

The albóndigas had a great flavor, like everything I added salt but the flavor was there. I also ordered two carne asada tacos, the salsa was good and the flavor of the taco overall was 7/10. I appreciated the meal but the service could have been more welcoming and the food just wasn't worth the 20 minute wait.

    3 for $5 every Thursday
    Jessica N.

3 for $5 tacos every Thursday!!! You can't beat that. Meat options are limited to: pastor, chorizo, carnitas, chicken. Workers don't speak much English so it's a little hard to communicate. They do offer free chips and salsa (no refill) but my only gripe is that they are really stingy with the chips - it's maybe 10 chips they give. Also the salsa they give might as well be ketchup/tomato sauce - it's not really salsa. Pro tip is to ask for their "spicy sauce" which is actual real hot salsa.

I didn't know that you could call for a reservation, or get on their waitlist with Yelp. I was going to do my order to go, when I was asked if I wouldn't mind sitting at the bar. Not at all. I was seated right away, and I was helped by Allison, who was also tending bar. She was a very nice lady, and she took very good care of me. The restaurant has. A nautical theme to it. I decided to go with the Cajun chowder, and the softshell crab po' boy. . My food comes quickly, and the order was huge! It was a very good, rich chowder, with just a tiny bit of a "zip" from the Cajun spices. They definitely gave it a good flavor. There were lots of goodies inside. The one thing about the chowder, was they didn't take out the bay leaves, and I did get a couple.. I just put them off to the side. I'm not going to take off a star, because the chowder was so good. Hey, It happens.... The po' boy was huge! The softshell crab was not over breaded. I could taste the crab with no problem, and it was a little bit sweet, a little bit savory, with that wonderful "crabby" flavor. The roll was a soft roll, , but it still held up to the sandwich extremely well The lettuce, and tomato were crisp and fresh . The Cajun fries, had a little bit of a zip to them, but not too much. they came with ketchup, and their house Cajun sauce. I didn't even touch the ketchup. The sandwich already had some Cajun sauce on it, I put a little bit more. The rest, I used to dip the fries. I only made it halfway through the sandwich, and the fries. The rest came back to my room with me for another great meal. I also got another little "tub" of that sauce to take with me. The entire time, Alison was so personable, , we chatted a little bit about this and that... She is definitely an asset to that restaurant. (Tell her boss to give her a raise...:). The price was extremely reasonable for such a wonderful meal, and they also have a military/veterans discount this was such a great meal, I would gladly come back here again. Thank you so very much

It is in the general area with Cere Tea and Koi Palace. We arrived around 6PM and were seated immediately. We came for the seafood don and both got the UME with an addition of the ochazuke set. For $26 + 4.5 for the set, I think it's really worth the price and you get a good amount of fresh fish. Each bite felt like I was transported to Japan and eating a Kaisendon. For $19, the portion and overall value were excellent. One thing that impressed me before the entrée even arrived was the complimentary sourdough bread. It came out warm, with just the right amount of tang. The crust was thin and crisp rather than overly thick or hard, while the inside stayed soft. They also made several cuts in the loaf before serving it, which made it very easy to pull apart and share. It sounds like a small detail, but I've been to plenty of restaurants where the complimentary bread arrives cold, overly hard, or as one large loaf that is awkward to tear apart. This one was genuinely very good. The entrée itself was generously portioned. The four coconut shrimp were crispy and flavorful, and I really enjoyed the coconut rice and vegetables as well. I also appreciated that the food was served on a hot plate, which helped everything stay warm during the meal. The one real disappointment was the mahi mahi. It was noticeably dry and somewhat underseasoned, so unfortunately the main piece of fish ended up being the weakest part of an otherwise very enjoyable plate. Everything else was quite good. Service was also above average. My server was a young gentleman who seemed attentive to the table. Shortly after the food arrived, he came over to see if I needed anything and specifically suggested things like salt and pepper. I appreciated that--it's more thoughtful and useful than simply asking a generic "Do you need anything?" He also checked in periodically during the meal without being intrusive. There were still a couple of small things keeping the service from being exceptional. The bread wasn't proactively refilled, and after I had completely finished everything on my plate, it would have been nice to have someone stop by fairly quickly to clear it and ask how everything was. Still, these are minor points, and overall I thought the service was very good, especially for a younger server. Overall, I left with a very positive impression and would definitely come back. Their Social Hour menu looks especially interesting, with good prices on oysters, mussels, scallops, calamari, and other starters. I'm also curious to return on a Sunday to try the $19 cioppino special. Very good value, attentive service, excellent complimentary bread, and mostly very good food. I'd happily return--I'd just choose something other than the mahi mahi next time.

Unfortunately, today's experience was nowhere near what we remembered. We ordered a pound of king crab, snow crab & shrimp, and snow crab with Cajun fries -- definitely not a cheap order. We were also told we couldn't order or pay over the phone because of the cost, which was already a little frustrating. But the food was the real disappointment. The sauce was extremely watered down, to the point that the seasoning wouldn't even stick to the shrimp, crab, potatoes, or corn. The crab itself was flimsy and somehow tasted dry like it wasn't fresh, and several of the claws had little to no meat in them. Being a pescatarian, and I can honestly say I've never thrown away a pound of king crab until today. For what king crab costs, that says everything. We used to love this place, which is why this experience was especially disappointing.

And I've tried a fair share of omakase places. The prix fixe 9 course meal was $150 per person, and I personally feel the quality of the ingredients and overall seasoning of the dishes did not meet that price point. It was already a rough start with the appetizers. I'm also a texture person so maybe someone else would like these but I was not a fan of the vegetable jelly nor the goopy seaweed salad. Had I known this prior to dining I don't think I would have wanted to go with the omakase menu. The chawanmushi was very underseasoned and missing salt completely. On the menu it says it has crab in it but the only crab meat you get with it comes in a tiny claw that you have no way of digging out The nigiri, which I was most excited for, fell VERY flat. The fish wasn't particularly fresh and I found a bone in my nigiri. (??) The rice was also really dry and mushy. I was genuinely so disappointed at this. Miso sea bass was overly sweet which didn't really work with how fatty the fish was. It was too much. Also found more bones in the miso sea bass but that's less gobsmacking than finding it in your nigiri. The dessert, matcha tiramisu, just tasted like straight up cream and not sweet at all. I don't have a sweet tooth by any means but this could've used sugar. I didn't feel very good eating this, the fattiness of the cream plus not having any flavor ruined it for me :( Overall, the main theme is just the lack of seasoning in any of the dishes plus ingredients not being fresh. I know it's Kaiseki style, but the dishes also seemed very uninspired and plating was kinda messy. When I looked closely, the plates weren't clean and there were marks.. Maybe I'm being nitpicky but at a price point like this, the details matter. Word of advice, if you live in South Bay and want omakase, just take your $ and drive an hour up to SF. My bf took me here to celebrate our anniversary and I feel awful about how bad it was.. +1 star for the friendly service.
