Was walking around the plaza and stopped by to try this Chicken Place. Vibe: 10/10 Walking in, the decor, TVs, layout and the music really sets the vibes. It gives off fast food place but at the same time it's also somewhere that I could see a lot of people sitting and drinking with friends at night Service: 8/10 Like I said, it's more like a fast food place. You place the order at your table and they bring it to you. Other than that, theres not much checking in. But the lady was so nice! Food: 8/10 The water had some weird specs in it so we decided to order sparkling water lol. We ordered: - side of coleslaw The Portion was PERFECT - Soy Garlic Chicken It was good but the seasoning was more on the salty side - So Ddeok So Ddeok Love love love the rice cake, I don't really like sausages so I put it to the side, but my boyfriend ended up eating it all anyways. Overall, it a great place to come, hang out and grab a bite. The chicken was just a little too salty for my liking but everything is such a reasonable price!
It's my very first time coming here. It's quite shocking that only a few customers are here and it's very quiet. When I heard about this restaurant, I thought that it's going to fill at least 50% of the capacity because of how good it looks here. Anyways, this place looks nice. Staff really take care of tables especially when I saw one cleaning after a customer left. They also have WiFi that we can use especially when waiting for our orders to be completed. I want to try one of their lunch combos, but they're only available on weekdays only. Otherwise, they're just selling entrees. Thankfully, they're still available when I'm here since it's within the time range. I got their Golden Original Boneless wings along with rice. I gotta that these are very big wings! Something you can have for your second meal if you're full right now. All of that including a soft drink is $15.99, which is quite affordable. The wings are very crispy and delicious. The rice is like other ones I usually eat but I'm not really gonna get down to that. What really matters is the wings since it's the main part of the meal. I'm definitely looking forward for other types of wings as well as different lunch options. Perhaps get the main entree to feed the whole family. I'm still disappointed that it rarely gets any customers. I recommend coming here for one of the best Korean-style chicken wings.
I've heard of this popular wing spot online and had to try it! We arrived on a Saturday evening, found a table, and got in line to order our food. The restaurant was crowded and had moderate noise. The line was 5 minutes and the wait for food was 25 minutes (it felt long). When the food arrived, we were famished and eager to dive in. We ordered Honey Garlic Wings and Rose' Ddeok-Bokki. The wings were delicious! They were crispy and juicy, with the right amount of flavoring on them. We didn't like the Rose' Ddeok-Bokki as much. The proportion was too much for the 2 of us and it was spicier than we preferred. The tteokbokki is ideal to eat with rice or an item to calm it down. Overall, we would come back here again to eat wings and not tteokbokki. They were delicious and comparable to BonChon KFC. I would recommend this spot to foodies looking for an Asian-flavored wing spot.
Ordered food from here through DoorDash. The order started prepping right away according to the app. Didn't pick up or go in so can't say much about the store or ambiance. The food arrived packed well. I had asked for utensils but none were included. No napkins, no forks or spoons. The chicken was good. Stayed crispy even after delivery in a plastic bag. The rose deokk-bokki was good, has a slight spiciness. I would order here again
The venue is small, not for big parties. It is clean and has TV's. The service was good, the lady behind the counter was very friendly. This first visit we ordered onion rings, spicy galbi and special sauce wings. The onion rings were very good, it is hard to find a place that has made them correctly and this place does a great job. Regarding the wings they are a bit saucy. If you are the type that loves immense amount of sauce on the wings this is your place. Personally I love sauce, in this case only a td bit less would be perfect for me. The sauce by the way was very tasty. The special sauce was my favorite. I will come back to try a few other items as this place is not only for wings. They do sell alcohol as well.
The honey garlic had a nice sweetness, while the soy garlic brought a savory, slightly salty taste. But because of the sauce, the wings were a bit wet, so the outside did not have a crispy and crunchy texture. Wait time was about 20 minutes, which felt longer than expected considering it wasn't too busy.
We ordered the soy garlic wings, and the whole experience was really smooth from start to finish. Our order was ready quickly, and the staff were super friendly and efficient when we picked it up. Everything was packed really well, and the wings were still crispy by the time we got home, which is always a big plus. Overall, a solid spot for takeout. Would definitely order from here again.
I placed an online order for pickup and received the ready confirmation 4 minutes after. They are QUICK! The online ordering system is really easy but I'm not sure if the lunch specials are on there. I ordered the $18.99 8 piece honey garlic chicken wings. I grabbed some gloves and ate in the car. The flavor was delicious. The meat was hot and moist. The pieces are decently big. I was satisfied after 4 wings. The inside is casual with plenty of clean tables and chairs.
So glad this spot is nearby, kids requested for 2nd time this week. We got the soy garlic flavor first, the decided to try secret sauce and orginal today. So good, my fav is the original, b it my kids like the sauces ones. I place the order for pickup on DoorDash, the timing is very accurate, roughly 25 minutes, so don't try to pickup early, it won't be available then get mad lol. Store is big, can accommodate big group, nothing special. Location used to be vons. Kids plan is to try next will try honey garlic and the cheese flavored wings
When we walked in we were a little confused. Usually we go to bonchon and they immediately ask you if you want to sit or order, the person behind the counter was quiet and I think maybe we were both confused, nonetheless we sat down and ordered from the QR code. The plaza is BUSY! There are so many good food options here but we came for the fried chicken, since I had been to a different location and wanted to take my parents here. They loved it! The plum soju was chilled and opened for us, they even brought out the shot glasses. Our food was prepped quickly and none of our order was messed up. It was quiet on the day we went but I can imagine closer to 6/7pm more people trickle in. While we loved the flavors my boyfriend and I found ourselves still missing Bonchon. But I would say bb.q is a close second and we will be back. Great customer service, clean and quick!
Pretty good first time experience! The parking lot is pretty expansive so it wasn't an issue finding a spot. We ordered ahead and picked up our food. The gentleman at the front was very nice and brought our food out when it was ready. Inside was large and airy with lots of seating. The floor was quite sticky. We ordered a few different items: Bulgogi with rice: Great flavor and tons of well-cooked rice, but definitely lacking on the meat. Rose ddeok-bokki with cheese: my son liked this but said it was super chewy and obviously very spicy! He was happy to see the addition of a (half) hard boiled egg. Honey garlic boneless chicken: this was a hit. Incredibly crunchy and a flavor bomb in our mouths. Absolutely loved this!
This location is amazing. It's huge in space, clean, and they're quick. First off, I like that I have the option to make my purchase through a QR code on my table rather than up at the front. I really wish the Sunnyvale location was like this. We ordered their honey garlic wings which are always on point. Something different we tried was their Alfredo fettuccine. This was pretty decent and tasted more like sharp aged white cheese pasta rather than Alfredo sauce. I actually like it and would definitely order this again. Overall, I really like this location and will always come back. I can't wait to try new items on the menu again but of course I'll always have my cup of rice and chicken on deck.
Ordered to go & I swear the chicken is so juicy. So flavorful. I love the pickled sides, especially with the tteokbokki.

Solid Korean fried chicken wings. Simple menu. Offers liquor. Plenty of seating. I've had both dine-in and takeout, and both were good experiences. Go-to's are the golden original and soy garlic. I like how crispy/crunchy the original is and its light flavor. The meat is juicy, but you have to eat it while it's hot or it starts to dry out. Love the flavor of the soy garlic; very savory and just tasty. Onion rings are super crunchy and their fries are crispy and classic. Also like their cheese sticks. At the time, they were still expanding on their draft beer selection but they have a few good bottles options. Service can sometimes be slow at this location--only been one employee working when I've gone. But they're friendly and receptive. Overall, I like their spread better than bonchon. read more

Dear Adeline H., Thank you for the wonderful review! We’re delighted…
One of my new favorite Korean fried chicken place! It does take a long time for your order to come however I don't mind because the chicken is cooked to perfection - crispy and piping hot! Just the way fried chicken should be! My go to sauces - Soy Garlic and Ganjeong! I also really like the Rosé Ddeok-Bokki. The sauce is really good. I have tried with cheese and without cheese. I prefer without the cheese because it overpowers the flavor of the sauce, which should be the highlight of the dish. Note that this is a self service restaurant. This means that you grab your own utensils and water. You also order your food on your phone by scanning QR code. One of things that I do not like about this restaurant and wish they can improve on is the smell. The restaurant always smells like wet dog and it does ruin the appetite. Highly recommend and can't wait to try other locations as well! read more

Why did the chicken join a band? Because it had the drumsticks! Stopped in for lunch this afternoon and had the whole place practically to ourselves -- just a few people, three TVs on, and that glorious smell of garlic in the air. We sat down, scanned the QR code, and got to ordering like pros: dumplings, rice cakes with sausage, 8 honey garlic wings, and 2 ice-cold Sunkists. Boom. Ordering was smooth, food came out fast, and oh man -- the flavors delivered. The dumplings were juicy little flavor bombs, packed tight with meat. The rice cakes and sausage came drizzled in sweet, smoky BBQ sauce that hit all the right notes -- chewy, savory, and just a little spicy. But the real MVP? Those honey garlic wings. Sweet, sticky, crispy on the outside, and ridiculously tender on the inside. Like, these wings didn't just slap -- they hugged my taste buds. We came in hungry, left completely stuffed and satisfied. Definitely worth a repeat visit. Next time, I might just order double wings and call it a day. read more

Obsessed!!! Fried Chicken wings and boneless. Honey Garlic Chicken is the best! Wow! I've been waiting for a good chicken spot in Milpitas. Be prepared to wait cuz you can't rush this. It is crunchy on the outside and so flavorful everywhere. It is not your average fried chicken. This isn't KFC. It is gourmet fried chicken. So much Love for this place. There a big tvs on the wall here. Literally I can see you can have a big group here. They do have happy hours for soju. I've been here a few times for pick up order. It is my favorite fried chicken spot right now. read more

I have tried the bb.q chicken place in Milpitas and near the Sunnyvale area. Both places are really good! I have had boneless and classic wings which both hit the spot. I would rate the wings 10/10. The kimchi entree was better than I expected and the fries could be better. I wish there was possibly some type of seasoning on it. I would definitely eat here again! The service was fast and quick! The workers were nice. We got our order to go and it was a nice sitting place. Overall the food together was a 9/10. read more

We were craving for Korean wings and wanted to check out this place. They have a long list of flavors in their menu. We chose the secret source wings, cheesy wings and cheesy fries. It took ~20 min to get the food, which was longer than expected given that not many guests were in the store (they might have a lot of pick up orders though). The secret source had a tangy and sweet taste. The cheesy seasoning was sweeter than any cheese seasoning you would expect. However, both flavors were great and I had a hard time choosing my favorite one. Service was not very satisfactory. We were asked to sit down at any table without water. I ordered pickled radish for both wings but only got one of them. Overall I think it's a descent place for Korean style wings but service could be improved. read more

Upon entering the vibes are like fire wings with a touch of Korean, with Korean music and music videos showing. The place is simple, modern and clean. The cashier greeted us immediately and asked if we were dinning in or carry out. He was the one running the show here, alone. Nonetheless, you seat yourself and order and pay on the app- nothing at the front desk nor does anyone help you. The guy will then bring you a carafe of water, disposable cups, chopsticks and trays for the food based on your guest count. We ordered the special sauce boneless wings which were delicious and a bit on the sweeter side with a garlicky taste. Additionally, we ordered the traditional wings - a dry rub on bone in wings- they were average- a bit oily for our liking. The radish side was delicious! They only serve soda's canned for $2.50 each. read more

Hello Harpreet S.! Thank you for your thoughtful review. We’re happy…
As soon as bb.q chicken opened its doors in Milpitas, I don't know how many times we have visited this place. This is probably me and my husband's favorite Korean fried chicken place and the food has never disappointed us once! The service is great and fast with the online ordering system. We wish the place was open a little later sometimes but I guess that's better for us so we don't try to eat dinner past 8pm The best flavors are still honey garlic and hot and spicy! def be prepared for the spice though! The original tteokbokki is also a winner in our melas whenever we share. Also have to mention the amazing French fries , I love a good fried potato!! Will always recommend bb.q to all our friends. read more

We got takeout here on a Saturday around lunchtime and found it surprisingly empty. We wanted to sample different flavors but opted for the golden original half chicken to avoid wasting food. Unfortunately, we discovered that they only offer two dipping sauces, both of which were spicy - a problem for us due to acid reflux. We also wanted to get the cheesy corn side but that's only available for eat in. The chicken's exterior was nice and crispy, but the meat had an unpleasant smell. I thought it smelled like vomit, while my partner described it as soapy, especially in the white meat. I couldn't even finish my piece. The off-putting smell might be less noticeable if you can use the sauces, but without them, it was quite disappointing. Service was friendly but please try to be more flexible and accommodating to takeout! read more

After getting the opportunity to try bb.q during the Yelp Elite Month a few months ago, I was craving the honey garlic wings again. Since I liked their honey garlic wings so much, I haven't tried the other flavors yet... but their wings are perfectly crispy, tender, and the honey garlic flavor is delicious. It's more sweet than it is savory (at least for this flavor) and the garlic flavor isn't too strong. The batter is light and crispy. Fries are just okay, but the portion is massive. Even with not a ton of customers, their chicken takes quite a bit to come out. It does taste super fresh though, so the wait is worth it! I also love their rose Ddeok-Bokki and I think adding cheese on top (+$2) is the move. It makes the rose sauce even creamier and adds a yummy tang. Rice cakes were perfectly chewy. I do think their prices are a bit steep for the portion size, especially in terms of the chicken, but it's really good. You order at the front and all utensils/water are self serve, so no table service really. Overall, whenever we crave Korean fried chicken, we come here! read more

First time trying BBQ chicken. I thought the service was a bit slow but there was only like 2-3 orders in front of us and we still had to wait around 20 minutes for 8 wings, with no sides. I ordered the honey garlic wings and it was super flavorful, and I enjoyed the radishes. Maybe I'll come back and give it another try and order other things. I did think it was a bit expensive for 8 wings ~ $20 ish dollars. read more

Dear Tiffany L.,…
This is located in the same plaza as Daeho with a bunch of parking spots. This plaza gets pretty busy so watch out for cars in all directions. For 2, we ordered: - Spicy Galbi Wings: 2/5 - Soy Garlic Wings: 5/5 - Rose Ddeok-Bokki: 4/5 - French Fries: 5/5 Everything was made to order so it took about 35 mins to start getting our items. Wings came out scorching hot! The spicy galbi wings has a smoky flavor with a spicy kick; wasn't a huge fan but good thing I only ordered a small portion of that. However, I really did enjoyed the soy garlic wings, lightweight crispy and very flavorful. The rose ddeok-bokki was super creamy and cooked well. The fries were lightly fried and seasoned, yum! K-pop music was playing and there's multiple TVs playing different music videos, so very entertaining while getting to enjoy the meal. read more

Hello Irene L.! Thank you for sharing your thoughts with us. We’re…
We were the first dine-in customers when they opened, but I'm sure there were already a bunch of online orders placed before we walked in. The young gentleman quickly processed our order and told us upfront that it would be 20-25 minutes before our food would be ready. I was okay with that since it meant my food was being freshly made to order! I ordered the Honey Garlic fried chicken, and my husband chose the Original Golden Wings. True to form, my chicken arrived at the table in 25 minutes. My husband's order, however, took an additional 15 minutes to arrive. I'm not sure why, but we did see a lot of to-go orders starting to stack up on the counter. When his order finally arrived, the gentleman apologized for the long delay and had added more chicken to his order to compensate for the wait. Nice touch! Note to management; hire one more person for the first shift! I was beginning to think the cashier was the cook too! Who knows, maybe he was! The chicken was hot, crispy, juicy, flavorful, and super yummy! The fries were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. I particularly liked the small container of chilled daikon on the side. I can totally understand why this is a popular place. The chicken is excellent! Thank you, b.b.q. Chicken!!! read more

Located in a popular foodie strip mall with plenty of parking. We've been to this strip mall a couple times to eat. Worth the drive. Decent sized with plenty of seating - high tops with bar stools or regular tables. Two unisex restrooms in the back. Nice decor. Music is not too loud We ordered the soy-garlic boneless, fries and Soda. Soda is can. ~25 minutes made to order. I really liked the soy-garlic- chicken itself is soft. just the right amount of breading. Fries made well - perfect crispy. Packet ketchup. Our server was very nice and approachable. read more

I was so happy to learn that bb.q is now also in Milpitas! This is in one of the busy shopping centers by Calaveras Rd where Daeho and Paris Baguette are. We went on a Saturday night and there was probably 2 other tables occupied but we were told it will take 10-15 mins for our chicken. Totally fine we walked around the plaza while we waited. One thing I wanted to mention, I wish bb.q allowed for making 2 flavors for the medium size. We got two smalls instead which was a little bit more than 1 medium. This place is one of the few chicken places that I prefer the boneless chicken. The chicken pieces are always so big (compared to bonchon), crunchy exterior and moist inside. We got the spicy galbi and soy garlic. The soy garlic is forever my favorite here, it is super tasty and yummy, gets a tiny bit too salty but that can be fixed with some rice. The spicy galbi was not my favorite, I didn't like the smoky after taste. The spice and flavor was good though and my boyfriend did like them. Overall it is the bb.q chicken that I have loved for a while but in a new closer location! Prices are not bad compared to other Korean fried chicken places. I can't wait to try other flavors! read more

Nice location in the Grocery Outlet Shopping Center, taking the location of where Von's Chicken used to be. It's close to Teaspoon. Nice, new, clean interior. Roughly, 13 tables for dine-in. Suitable for 1-2 large parties of eight, but mostly for four people or less. House music playing. Their eight tvs were playing professional sports or K-Pop videos. Honey Garlic KFC: brushed with a sweet soy-based sauce, these are light on heat but heavy on flavor. That's the description. Crunchy, crispy breading on the outside, but the chicken is nice and juicy. The wings were a good size, not tiny like other places. They forgot my pickled radishes. :( read more

Hello Lloyd C.! Thank you for your thoughtful review. We’re happy…
Ordered the original boneless for my husband with an order of onion rings and my goodness it was a lot of food. This is enough for two people. I only wish the chicken came with two sauces on the side. I assumed it did, so I didn't ask for it. For $15.99 (8 piece), I think giving one sauce is fair. The chicken is very tender with a super crispy breading. It had classic delicious flavor but with spices (not heat spicy). I was expecting fried chicken sandwiches on the menu but surprised they do that have it. The onion rings were standard. It's all fried, so I wish they had non fried side options. Maybe that's just me because I mostly eat healthy. The restaurant had people waiting for their food because they make it to order. I waited 20 minutes for a small order on a rainy Sunday afternoon and it didn't look busy. I can only imagine it is a much longer wait if it is busy. The shopping center is busy because of the grocery outlet and Paris baguette, but there is plenty of parking. read more

I've been to the other locations in Atlanta in the past, and to be honest, I think the quality is better there. My friends and I got the galbi, gangjeong, honey garlic, and rose ddeokbokki. All of the flavors were good, but I have to say that the the chicken did not taste as fresh as what I am used to. The employees were nice and helpful. We came around dinner time on a weekday, and it was not crowded at all. I would be willing to try the other locations, since I've had good experiences in the Atlanta locations, but because of the price, I would hesitate to come back if the quality was the same in the other spots. read more

Hi Janet U.,…
Food was 9/10 and service was 8/10! I came here with my friends on a not-so-busy day. The place looks to be open seating and there's a QR code for you to scan and order. My friends and I got Golden Whole Chicken Regular, Rose Ddeok-Bokki, and Regular Ddeok-Bokki. When the food arrived, the server told us they accidentally had sauce on one of the chicken pieces. We just laughed it off and enjoyed our food. The chicken was pretty good. Even though it was plain, it still had some saltiness to it. I think they soak their chicken in a brine or something because the meat was also juicy and tender. The ddeok bokki was delicious. The rice cakes were chewy and the sauce was nice and creamy. There was a small kick to it in which I liked. The green onions add a nice cut of freshness to the creamy dish! The service was good. We were welcomed as we walked in and were given water when we sat. She was very friendly, nice, and accommodating. However, I feel like the chicken is more on the pricey side seeing how the chicken pieces are small. Overall, I had a nice experience even thought I was a little disappointed in the chicken. read more

First time in a Korean chicken place and it was pretty good . We got a few dishes to try from the menu : 1) the hot mala boneless chicken was spicy and very tender and yummy 2) the honey garlic boneless chicken was also very good , albeit a little spicy (not too much) 3) spicy sauce wings were very good and not too spicy The dishes are expensive (almost 20$ for a small size) but are good for two people . Fries were great . They have things to improve on - they ran out of sweet potato fries at 6:30p, did Jonny have any knifes available and we could use some wet ones for such a messy food . Other than that , we really enjoyed the experience ! read more

SOOO GOOD. The crispyness of the chicken and fries is top tier here. You can definitely tell they make everything fresh. I'm not even the biggest fan of fries in general, but sheesh the fries here are super crispy, the perfect texture inside and out and ratio of crunch and potato is insaneee. The soy garlic fried chicken sent me to flavor town and the batter was super crunchy and well balanced. Service was so friendly and she was great at answering any questions. Ambiance is nice and clean, spacious with lots of seating. Easy to park in the large plaza parking lot too! The only thing is the we needed to wait for almost 30 min even though it was pretty empty later on a weekday night. But I'd wait again for this, so worth it!! read more
