Was walking around the plaza and stopped by to try this Chicken Place. Vibe: 10/10 Walking in, the decor, TVs, layout and the music really sets the vibes. It gives off fast food place but at the same time it's also somewhere that I could see a lot of people sitting and drinking with friends at night Service: 8/10 Like I said, it's more like a fast food place. You place the order at your table and they bring it to you. Other than that, theres not much checking in. But the lady was so nice! Food: 8/10 The water had some weird specs in it so we decided to order sparkling water lol. We ordered: - side of coleslaw The Portion was PERFECT - Soy Garlic Chicken It was good but the seasoning was more on the salty side - So Ddeok So Ddeok Love love love the rice cake, I don't really like sausages so I put it to the side, but my boyfriend ended up eating it all anyways. Overall, it a great place to come, hang out and grab a bite. The chicken was just a little too salty for my liking but everything is such a reasonable price!
It's my very first time coming here. It's quite shocking that only a few customers are here and it's very quiet. When I heard about this restaurant, I thought that it's going to fill at least 50% of the capacity because of how good it looks here. Anyways, this place looks nice. Staff really take care of tables especially when I saw one cleaning after a customer left. They also have WiFi that we can use especially when waiting for our orders to be completed. I want to try one of their lunch combos, but they're only available on weekdays only. Otherwise, they're just selling entrees. Thankfully, they're still available when I'm here since it's within the time range. I got their Golden Original Boneless wings along with rice. I gotta that these are very big wings! Something you can have for your second meal if you're full right now. All of that including a soft drink is $15.99, which is quite affordable. The wings are very crispy and delicious. The rice is like other ones I usually eat but I'm not really gonna get down to that. What really matters is the wings since it's the main part of the meal. I'm definitely looking forward for other types of wings as well as different lunch options. Perhaps get the main entree to feed the whole family. I'm still disappointed that it rarely gets any customers. I recommend coming here for one of the best Korean-style chicken wings.
I've heard of this popular wing spot online and had to try it! We arrived on a Saturday evening, found a table, and got in line to order our food. The restaurant was crowded and had moderate noise. The line was 5 minutes and the wait for food was 25 minutes (it felt long). When the food arrived, we were famished and eager to dive in. We ordered Honey Garlic Wings and Rose' Ddeok-Bokki. The wings were delicious! They were crispy and juicy, with the right amount of flavoring on them. We didn't like the Rose' Ddeok-Bokki as much. The proportion was too much for the 2 of us and it was spicier than we preferred. The tteokbokki is ideal to eat with rice or an item to calm it down. Overall, we would come back here again to eat wings and not tteokbokki. They were delicious and comparable to BonChon KFC. I would recommend this spot to foodies looking for an Asian-flavored wing spot.
Ordered food from here through DoorDash. The order started prepping right away according to the app. Didn't pick up or go in so can't say much about the store or ambiance. The food arrived packed well. I had asked for utensils but none were included. No napkins, no forks or spoons. The chicken was good. Stayed crispy even after delivery in a plastic bag. The rose deokk-bokki was good, has a slight spiciness. I would order here again
The venue is small, not for big parties. It is clean and has TV's. The service was good, the lady behind the counter was very friendly. This first visit we ordered onion rings, spicy galbi and special sauce wings. The onion rings were very good, it is hard to find a place that has made them correctly and this place does a great job. Regarding the wings they are a bit saucy. If you are the type that loves immense amount of sauce on the wings this is your place. Personally I love sauce, in this case only a td bit less would be perfect for me. The sauce by the way was very tasty. The special sauce was my favorite. I will come back to try a few other items as this place is not only for wings. They do sell alcohol as well.
The honey garlic had a nice sweetness, while the soy garlic brought a savory, slightly salty taste. But because of the sauce, the wings were a bit wet, so the outside did not have a crispy and crunchy texture. Wait time was about 20 minutes, which felt longer than expected considering it wasn't too busy.
We ordered the soy garlic wings, and the whole experience was really smooth from start to finish. Our order was ready quickly, and the staff were super friendly and efficient when we picked it up. Everything was packed really well, and the wings were still crispy by the time we got home, which is always a big plus. Overall, a solid spot for takeout. Would definitely order from here again.
I placed an online order for pickup and received the ready confirmation 4 minutes after. They are QUICK! The online ordering system is really easy but I'm not sure if the lunch specials are on there. I ordered the $18.99 8 piece honey garlic chicken wings. I grabbed some gloves and ate in the car. The flavor was delicious. The meat was hot and moist. The pieces are decently big. I was satisfied after 4 wings. The inside is casual with plenty of clean tables and chairs.
So glad this spot is nearby, kids requested for 2nd time this week. We got the soy garlic flavor first, the decided to try secret sauce and orginal today. So good, my fav is the original, b it my kids like the sauces ones. I place the order for pickup on DoorDash, the timing is very accurate, roughly 25 minutes, so don't try to pickup early, it won't be available then get mad lol. When we walked in we were a little confused. Usually we go to bonchon and they immediately ask you if you want to sit or order, the person behind the counter was quiet and I think maybe we were both confused, nonetheless we sat down and ordered from the QR code. The plaza is BUSY! There are so many good food options here but we came for the fried chicken, since I had been to a different location and wanted to take my parents here. They loved it! The plum soju was chilled and opened for us, they even brought out the shot glasses. Our food was prepped quickly and none of our order was messed up. It was quiet on the day we went but I can imagine closer to 6/7pm more people trickle in. While we loved the flavors my boyfriend and I found ourselves still missing Bonchon. But I would say bb.q is a close second and we will be back. Great customer service, clean and quick!
Pretty good first time experience! The parking lot is pretty expansive so it wasn't an issue finding a spot. We ordered ahead and picked up our food. The gentleman at the front was very nice and brought our food out when it was ready. Inside was large and airy with lots of seating. The floor was quite sticky. We ordered a few different items: Bulgogi with rice: Great flavor and tons of well-cooked rice, but definitely lacking on the meat. Rose ddeok-bokki with cheese: my son liked this but said it was super chewy and obviously very spicy! He was happy to see the addition of a (half) hard boiled egg. Honey garlic boneless chicken: this was a hit. Incredibly crunchy and a flavor bomb in our mouths. Absolutely loved this!
This location is amazing. It's huge in space, clean, and they're quick. First off, I like that I have the option to make my purchase through a QR code on my table rather than up at the front. I really wish the Sunnyvale location was like this. We ordered their honey garlic wings which are always on point. Something different we tried was their Alfredo fettuccine. This was pretty decent and tasted more like sharp aged white cheese pasta rather than Alfredo sauce. I actually like it and would definitely order this again. Overall, I really like this location and will always come back. I can't wait to try new items on the menu again but of course I'll always have my cup of rice and chicken on deck.

Super crispy skin and tender, moist meat. Very greasy. The fries were just ok. The Rose' Ddeok-Bokki was pretty good. But it could have used more fish cakes. It was super predominantly rice cakes. My go-to orders are the soy garlic wings, and the rosé tteokbokki. The fried chicken is fresh and gives that satisfying cronch. Just expect to wait around potentially 25-30 minutes since I think they cook to order (I recommend calling in advanced or ordering online). The rose tteokbokki is a creamier and less spicy version of the traditional tteokbokki, so yummy and creamier if you add cheese! I've frequented the other bb.q chicken locations in Sunnyvale and Cupertino, but it was my first time in Milpitas. They all look pretty similar in design- but this location is pretty spacious for larger groups, and they play/show a lot of K-pop music and videos! read more

Ordered takeout from bb.q chicken in Milpitas twice so far and each time has been a good experience! First time ordered ahead on the phone then online and it was ready for pick up at the time stated. Food was still warm, fresh and crispy when we got it. To me the quality has been about the same as Cupertino location which is the only other one I've tried! I really enjoyed the gangnam style (especially since I like the spice and I love garlic) and chak chak is really good as well. Similar to golden original which is a classic. I'm personally not a fan of the secret sauce since it's on the sweeter side and has an interesting hint of cinnamon apple? But I could see how others like it! I think the picture speaks for itself... underwhelming. I'm a little disappointed in this Milpitas location. I've had better at the Sunnyvale location, which you would think service, quantity, and quality would be the same given that it's a chain. It was not. First, they ran out of French fries, okay that's fine since they said there's still sweet potatoes. I go home to find no sweet potato fries in my bag. Secondly, I specifically said no cheese on top of my tteokkbokki. I go home to find cheese layered at the top. Third, I waited more than 30mins for my food that shouldn't have taken that long only to go home extremely disappointed. I'm sure I'm not the only one who was upset because there were a few people ahead of us who were also waiting just as long. The funny thing is that it wasn't even crowded in the restaurant... I'm not knocking the chain, I actually like bb.q chicken... just maybe not this particular location. Save your money and go to a different one. read more

My bf and I shared a 4 piece Honey Garlic boneless chicken with fries, rice, and an 8 piece bone-in Gangnam style. I got the 4 piece chicken with fries and an additional 8 wings for my boyfriend. We got the gangnam flavor as it was one of our faves from another bb.q chicken spot, as well as the spicy galbi, but the sauce here on both the gangnam and galbi had a burnt flavor. However the chicken was cooked crispy and juicy, we just weren't fans of the sauce here. The size of sides here was huge and more than enough for the two of us, and the fries were cooked well too. We got an 8-piece of the galbi wings and 8-piece golden original flavor, with pickled radish, for takeout. There was no wait to order, and a 15-20 minute wait for our food to be ready. The restaurant setting was clean, bright, and modern with multiple large screen TVs on the walls for watching sports, while music played in the background. My thesis: As good as Bonchon, not as good as Von's, but points for more variety. We enjoyed three types of wings: Gangnam style (we thought was the tastiest), soy garlic (pretty good), and honey garlic (too sweet). We also ordered the Rose Ttekbokki which isn't pictured but was still really good (and very cheesy)! I was craving Korean Fried Chicken and saw this recommended for me. I have not yet been to the store but had the food delivered instead. I have to say I am pretty impressed with the food here. Although it is a little pricey, the flavor speaks for itself. I have ordered from other places and so far, since coming back from Seoul, this is the best flavor...throughout the chicken that I have had. I only wish it were just as crispy, this is why I only gave 4 stars. I think because it was delivered that it got a little soggy, so I would have to actually go to the restaurant and try it there to compare. Here is what I had: Honey Garlic wings: if you like honey and garlic, get ready for this. Super flavorful yet not too sweet, the garlic is fresh and not powder. I absolutely love this one. Came here on a Tuesday night. The restaurant is new, felt clean and fresh. There are large TVs all along the two sides of the restaurant for you to catch the various news, sports, k-pop videos, etc. Food is ordered at the counter, then the food is brought to your table. For the chicken, they only offer whole, wings or boneless. Wished they offered legs as well. We ordered the following: Ddeok-Bokki - this was the first time I had this dish. It's similar to italian gnocchi, but in a sweet and spice chili sauce with cheese on top. This was very good. 4/5 Honey Garlic Wings - this was very good. Sweet with a hint of garlic. Crunch was very good, almost glass like even with the sauce on it. 5/5 Soy Garlic Wings - this was very good as well. More savory than most Bonchon, and also more garlic flavor that Bonchon. 4/5 Gangam Style Wings - I saw people raving about these ones, so I tried it. Maybe because it was hyped in my head, it was not as good as I had hoped for. When they first came out, it looked like it would be bursting with umami flavor, but it fell flat for me. 3/5 We did also order Asahi and Sapporo tall boys to help wash it all down. I like the way they fry their chicken. However, I feel like most of the flavors at bbq are a miss to me. I did not like the soy garlic or gangnam sauce much. bb.q chicken is popping up everywhere but the first location I tried was in Cupertino. Tried some different flavors at this location and ordered a different side as well. Not sure the reason why the whole chicken only has limited flavor options compared to wings/boneless but it is what it is. Wanted to get the whole chicken but also wanted to try different flavors. Honey Garlic - this would probably be one of my top favorites and so crispy! Spicy Galbi - this was okay. I'm more of a savory person and savory/sweet together sometimes works but it's all subjective! Still wanted to try it though. If you're into a little spicy, sweet, and savory then this flavor might be for you. Aside from the flavors, it was the first to come out but it wasn't hot or even warm. It was pretty cooled down. Cheesling Fries - I'm starting to see more dishes/recipes with powered cheese aside from krafts mac and some instant noodle packets. It's interesting if you're not used to it but it's actually not bad. It went well with the fries and the sauce that was on top. This location is very new so I'm sure there's room for improvement. First experience here the wait for food was well over 30 minutes, after the long wait the food started to come out but only one at a time. They did look busy with all the to-go/online orders. This didn't ruin the experience or anything. Sure the food took a while but the customer service was fine, the cashier was super nice, and food was still good. My friend recommended either honey or soy garlic flavor but sadly they dont serve any of them with half chicken portion, so I went with honey garlic wings. Wings are bigger than avg and they taste good, not sure if bones were frozen but l dont see dark spots in the bones, which is good, will be back to try the soy garlic wings soon. I was impressed with the size of the wings - I was worried a Small size would be too skimpy for $16.99 (8pc), but the wings were sizeable. 2 orders of the small was plenty for 2 people. We got a Small of the Hot Mala boneless wings and a Small of the spicy original wings. The flavor of the mala was delicious!! Highly recommended if you like Szechuan.
