I was hesitant to go to Barro's after seeing some of pictures --- but wanted to share my experience! Located on Higley near QC rd, Barros is easy to spot. I ordered takeout, the standard for me, a dbl pep pizza. Walking in I got pizza parlor vibes, I saw some video games, and it seems like a cool place if you want to get a pitcher of something fizzy and watch a game or two. Staff was super friendly and helpful as it was my first time there. Anyways, I checked the pizza before I left, all good and off I went. I gotta say for all the pizza places around, this was a pretty good pizza! Not oily, the sauce was seasoned good, and the cheese/ bread weren't stale at all. I really have no complaints we all enjoyed the pizza. And to be able to get a pizza starts at $13 is just amazing. You could even easily feed a family of four for under $20. Winning. Again this is my experience, hopefully all of the pics of those sad looking pizzas are a thing of the past! Looking forward to going back soon. read more

For the pizza at night, I give it a 4. It's fresh, hot, delicious. For the lunch time special pizza, I'd give that a 3. But with that said, I'd give the price a 5!!!! This is one of the BEST most affordable lunch options out there. Truly! I got two slices (got to mix and match the flavor), a salad (which was pretty darn big) and a refillable drink for $8. That is awesome!! I'd go here every lunch I could if i had kids. Best bang for your buck. And it's not the pizza isn't good. It is, it's just pre made, and sits in a warmer. We have been going to them for a couple years now, love the taste & fluffiness of their crust. Was disappointed in this most recent time we went as we've always got two free ranches & paid for rest when you purchase a pizza. They told us management has now changed that and you now get none with your pizza. read more

Atmosphere - I did pick up so I didn't notice too much. Food - It was a standard cheese pizza. The crust is on the thicker side. I would not consider it a thin crust. Some times when I am really hungry and the pizza is still hot, the cheese tastes powerful. I like that. It has a strong cheese flavor. Service - Quick and efficient. Background - We typically eat Barro's pizza a lot. The restaurant has been around for a while. I didn't notice they have so many stores open these days. Parking - Good. Future - Of course. read more

Barros is a lovely neighborhood pizza place. It is simple, casual and affordable. It's a good stop anytime but specially when you're in a hurry or just want to grab a quick pizza with friends and/or family. The place is clean, has a lot of TVs playing a lot of different sports. I enjoyed the time with my bestie catching up with conversations and carb loading with delicious and simple pepperoni pizza. The service is friendly and quick. First, I want to say we come to this location often with our family friends. The food is always amazing. The girls that work hard in there always have a great attitude. What I witnessed last night was something that is making me consider taking my business elsewhere. One of the girls I won't put her name, but she's always so sweet and helpful. We watched as what is described as her manager, Nicole, came charging at this employee and yelling some threatening words to the point where I thought she was going to hit her employee. The employee ran off, looking panicked and crying. We watched her try to come back out and then she started sobbing again. We were appalled. After watching, I also realized the general manager of the restaurant looks like he did absolutely nothing to address the situation nor did he even seem to care. I recently ordered from Barro's and it was, without a doubt, the worst pizza delivery experience I've had in a long time. First off, the pizza arrived stone cold, like it had been sitting around for hours. Cold pizza might be tolerable if the quality was decent, but this wasn't even close. The crust was overcooked to the point of being almost burnt--dry, tough, and flavorless. It felt like I was biting into cardboard with toppings. Speaking of the toppings, the pizza was sliced completely wrong. One slice was ridiculously large while the others were thin slivers, or just outright cut wrong. I didn't even get a chance to enjoy it properly because it was so unevenly cut that it fell apart as soon as I picked it up. It was like they gave the job to someone who had never handled a pizza cutter in their life. Honestly, this place needs a serious overhaul--starting with their delivery process and whoever is managing quality control. For the price, you'd expect at least a warm, decently cut pizza, but apparently, even that is too much for them to handle. Never ordering from here again. read more

I ordered the Vegetarian Special with thick crust, it was amazingly delicious and well made! I was completely shocked about the gluten-free option of THICK crust. Been ordering here for years and everything was always 5 star and perfect. At the turn of the year, we noticed that the food quality went down the drain. Firs night we ordered our wings were barely cooked and we always order Extra Crispy. Additionally, the pizza was doughy and missing bacon. We called and they sent replacement wings and again, I asked for extra crispy. Replacement wings were exactly the same, undercooked. I do most things online but I can't change locations in the app. Called the SanTan Barros and they delivered perfection both times we ordered. Tonight, decided to try the Higley location again, and again.... under cooked wings (this time I even called and she repeated extra, extra crispy back to me). Thought more care would go into an $80 order. Really a shame...... read more

Called and tried to order a pizza from here tonight. Came in 30 minutes later to pick it up, the cashier Natalie V. Was busy flirting and playing footies with her coworker and says that we must've ordered from a different location. I called the same number I ordered from and their phone rung. I had to reorder and wait another 30 in the parking lot because Natalie didn't put the order in. She also messed up the order before mine. She is a complete mess and is not a good person to have a the front, if working there at all. Please figure it out and talk to her about this. read more

We get Barro's pretty often. I am giving 3 stars because sometimes the quality can be iffy. Also, they put ranch in the boxes of wings when ordering to-go and it's incredibly messy. Not sure why no one fixes that part? They have a spacious dining area and some games for kids. Great place for larger gatherings too. read more

Very disappointed in our pick up experience... 1. Asked for no onions on salad - came with diced onions throughout....basically tossed in trash. 2. Side of fire sauce - was left out. 3. Extra sauce on wings - wings were cold, dry, and clearly without extra sauce. On a positive the pizza was correctly made, however it was an overall very disappointing carry out experience (especially when the in laws are in town and we build up our local pizza establishments)....should have gone with original recommendation and got take out from the new Buddy's pizza....lesson learned! read more

This was our "umpteenth" time purchasing pizza from Barros but we recognize that at this time in our world things are tight and despite being a family run business with many locations -- each order counts for them. This was out initial purchase on the "Yelp - Big Night out" day as we did a hike with our kids at Wind Cave and then ordered via the mobile app on the way home to pick up and eat outside while my daughter who works in a hospital stayed social distanced as every day is day 0 for her from a possible exposure. Pizza is always a delight from Barros with tasty fresh toppings, a fluffy but firm crust, and a pizza sauce that is tangy but not overwhelming. We typically order a cheese, a pepperoni and a small white for me....which is amazing...
