This was our second time using Bargain Movers, and we had another fantastic experience! From start to finish, everything was so easy. Luis was both our estimator and manager, and he was wonderful to work with. He made sure everything was taken care of, was always easy to reach, and communicated clearly throughout the process. His estimate was also right on target (and a value!), which we really appreciated! On moving day, our crew--Tony, Joel, Javier, Jose, Melvin, and Anthony--was absolutely amazing! They arrived on time, worked incredibly efficiently, and were so friendly and helpful. Moving is never fun, but these guys somehow made the day enjoyable! They were such a great group of people that it honestly felt like we had family helping us move. We really can't say enough good things about the entire experience. It's not often you find people who work this hard while also being so genuinely kind and pleasant to be around. We highly recommend Bargain Movers, especially Luis and our amazing moving crew! If we ever move again, we'll definitely be calling them for a third time! read more

I had a great experience with Bargain Movers from beginning to end. Jose, Carlos, and Anthony handled the packing and move and did a phenomenal job. They were punctual, efficient, professional, communicative, and easy to work with. They took great care with my belongings, were thorough throughout the process, and nothing was damaged. They made what could have been a stressful move much easier. I also worked closely with Brandon Miller, who initially came out to provide my estimate and remained my main point of contact throughout the process. Brandon was friendly, responsive, and professional, whether by email, text, or phone, and took the time to explain the process and answer my questions. He also coordinated additional painting, repairs, and cleaning services for my previous home, which made Bargain Movers feel like a one-stop shop. Overall, I was extremely pleased with the service and would absolutely recommend Bargain Movers. read more

I've used Luis and Bargain Movers on three moves over the last eight years and they have always been very respectful of my belongings with no damage occurring during move. Movers are polite, friendly and helpful throughout the process of packing up and unloading. Office staff quickly answered my questions and everything went smoothly on all three moves. Fair pricing but most importantly on time moving and great communication. I highly recommend Bargain Movers for your next move. read more

This is a decades-old family business and they have enormous integrity -- I wish every business we dealt with was this way. If I could give this business a 10, I would. They are one of the highest rated movers on Consumer Checkbook so I gave them -- and others -- a call. Just beginning with their response to me, it seemed clear that they are a quality company to work with -- and they were much, much better than the others, as I say, from the beginning. I said I was thinking of moving abroad and when Louis, the owner, came to my house the next day, he was fully prepared and brought me essential information that I never expected from them. They don't do moves abroad, but he spoke to his international partner so he could explain to me the entire process. He gave me the name of their international partner and also called them so they'd be ready for my call. He also passed on to me an organizer who could help. (Moving Forward, which was exceptional and I'm reviewing it as well.) The result of all this was that I ended up deciding to fully go the international path, which will cover me even if I decide to stay in the U.S.. I told Louis he talked himself out of a job! That's what a company that thinks about serving the customer first does -- you can be sure that you're dealing with someone honest who truly cares about what you need and about his company's reputation. read more

Bargain Movers broke my antique bookcase during my move on 17 Oct 2024. The move was only 25 minutes away. The bookcase was cracked in several locations, the crown molding was broken off on the left side, and the crown molding was completely missing on the right side. It looked as though they had dropped this antique. The supervisor on site acknowledged the damage before the movers left from the move. Insurance was included in the move cost and I even purchased the upgraded "additional" insurance through Bargain Movers to cover the more expensive items ($514.50). I described this item as an "Antique Bookcase" on the list that Bargain Movers required I provide them before the move. Initially, the owner Mr. Luis Cardenas, Jr., agreed to repair the bookcase, however he sent a general repair man and not an antique specialist. The repair man said he would start with replacing the missing crown molding. I was concerned when he thought he could pick up a replacement trim piece from Home Depot. When he returned to the house, he had (2) pieces of strip pine glued together and was preparing to attach this as the repair of hardwood detailed molding! I informed him this was an antique obviously and did not agree to his absurd method of repair. Once Mr Cardenas was notified of this, he then informed me that he would not honor the repair unless I obtained an appraisal. This is ridiculous since Bargain Movers had the obligation to inform me of these terms before they moved me. An antique appraisal now would cost me over $500! All I am asking is that Bargain Movers "properly" repair this antique bookcase that they acknowledge breaking during my move. I purchased the "additional" insurance on top of the "standard" insurance, and therefore believe I am at least entitled to this service. read more

If you are looking to work for them good luck with Douglas he is rude and unprofessional! It would be better if he said no right away rather than giving the lame excuse of let me talk to my boss and wait for my call. And if you call to ask if he spoke with his boss he gives you a nasty attitude and hangs up the phone mid conversation. I heard so many good things about this company but now seeing how young people who are only looking for an opportunity are treated so poorly is very disappointing. read more

highly recommend. Victor came over to look at what I needed to have moved. It was a local move. I emphasize this so you have an idea of how many hours it's going to take. Sent an estimate that afternoon. I did comparisons but often moving companies just want you to write an inventory without really looking at the pieces that you have.. The movers were professional, polite, just the nicest! They were steadily- not distracted by looking at their phones, but conscientious workers. no damage to any of my belongings or the walls. I had a particularly difficult piece that had to be moved over a deck rail on the second floor and lowered to the first floor. It was tough, but they did it without any gripes! You will get a lot of estimates and promises, but this group followed through! Thank you bargain movers. read more

Were recommended to work w them by our RE agent. I've moved with movers more times than I can count, and this is one of only two moves where I've been motivated to share how great the experience was. It's rare to work with real honest professionals in an industry where most of the time there's no repeat business. Can't say enough good things about Luis and co, and I've told friends not to overthink it and just work with them. Fast and safe move, honest pricing, and great communication. Can't ask for more. read more

We've heard horror stories about moving: damage to your belongings or the house you are moving into, movers who take their time so that they can charge more, sales reps surprising you with hidden fees. I can say that Bargain Movers did none of those things. The crew of four led by Martin was meticulous about wrapping our furniture and other big-ticket items and made sure they did not bang into the walls and doors of the new place. They arrived at 8am and were finished by 2pm. Even when we invited them to sit down in the kitchen to eat lunch, they politely declined, electing to take their food to the truck and grab bites while continuing to work. And even though Luis had quoted us a certain amount based on an eight-hour workday, the final invoice was about $200 smaller because they had finished so quickly. You can't go wrong with Bargain Movers. read more

These guys are terrific! Fast, careful, experienced and flexible. We ended up postponing our move twice - once because of a repair that had to be done in the new house, and once again due to weather (hazards of a winter move). They didn't charge us to reschedule, and were friendly and understanding above and beyond what we expected (they even recommended a repair guy for the house fix!) The day before the move, Martina in the front office called to check in on us, confirm the arrival time, and ask if we needed an extra boxes or had any items that needed special packing (lamps, TVs, etc). She also explained their policy that they wouldn't take things on the truck that weren't properly packaged, but that the movers would help with packing and packaging as needed. Day of, the movers showed up at exactly 8am and got right to work. Martín and his team were extremely friendly and efficient, and worked well together getting things to the truck. They disassembled & reassembled our bed, helped pack up our whiteboards & corkboards, and were careful and thorough going through the house and making sure things reached the right place. Our 15-mile move to a 3-bedroom house was done in just over five hours. We were amazed. All of this for really any extraordinarily reasonable price. We'll happily recommend them to local friends & family! read more

The movers (Jose, Raul, and Israel) showed up on time, were well equipped and prepared to execute our move. They carefully moved everything out of our old house without any damage. We requested these 3 guys who I call the 'A' team to move our stuff into our new house. The new house had a little narrower doorways so I told my wife to expect a few minor dings. Amazingly they moved all our stuff into the new house with no damage whatsoever to the walls or furniture. The guys seemed to like their job and exercised the type of care as if it were their own. Would definitely recommend Bargain Movers read more

I had a great experience with Bargain Movers. They responded to my inquiry and provided a quote quickly. Other movers had me jump through hoops to talk to someone (press 1 to talk to...). At Bargain Movers I was always able to talk to a real person right away. Making the deposit was easy to do online. They called the business day before the move to confirm arrival time. The day of the move, the movers arrived during the promised window, got to work immediately, including wrapping furniture in plastic and cloth protectors. They moved quickly loading and unloading at the final destination. They were respectful, conversational, and friendly. Great price, great service. Highly recommend. read more

I must have moved at least a dozen times in my life, and have had movers do all the moving for at least half a dozen of those moves. I've never had movers as AWESOME as Bargain Movers, who I found by searching on Yelp for the moving company with the most number of GREAT reviews. And I chose wisely. Starting with their management office, you are enthusiastically greeted by Martina, who does the initial phone interview; moving on their owner Luis, who personally calls you to discuss your move and to schedule a home inspection, so that an accurate estimate can be provided; going all the way to the movers themselves, all I can say is that Bargain Movers is a top notch company! The movers themselves were very friendly, extremely careful with our possessions and super fast! They hustled so much, that the entire move was completed in a little over half the time than was originally estimated. Part of that reason was my family and I doing all the packing of the small stuff, such that all the movers had to do was to grab the boxes and put them on the truck. We have never seen movers hustle like these guys! And they were just as quick in unloading the truck and putting our possessions in the right place, even breaking them down and reinstalling some items. One thing that happened which I should note: when the movers came, they had to remove our front door from the hinges. When they put the door back on, the door wouldn't latch closed; i.e., it would push open. The movers tried to fix it, but they couldn't, with my family and I in disbelief, having just moved into the house where the door worked just fine before the move. Our concerns were quickly addressed by Luis, who hired a handy-man to come out and fix the problem. The handy-man came and within minutes was able to fix the door, ensuring it latched completely when closed. What this says to us is this: Bargain Movers is a 5-star company, with 5-star staff who, of course, take their lead from their 5-star owner, Luis. Luis is a man of integrity and honor. His goal is to ensure a completely satisfied customer, which he did with pleasure. With an owner like Luis, the company is destined for success. Therefore, I would HIGHLY recommend BARGAIN MOVERS for your next move! They will not disappoint, but rather ensure that you have as stress-free of a move as possible!! read more

Having used many different movers, Bargain Movers was by far the nicest, most efficient, and pleasant moving company I've ever dealt with! From the beginning, Luis (the owner) truly cared to not just haul my stuff from point A to point B, but really wanted to understand what I was looking for in movers, what kind of stuff I had, and wanted to be as transparent and accurate as possible in pricing! On the day of the move, Jose and his crew were fantastic - arrived right on time, didn't slack off or waste time, and got to moving ASAP. Not even a break for lunch - just good, delicate, fast moving guys. Would absolutely recommend them to anyone! We did a crew of 4 guys from a 2BR+Den Townhouse and they crushed it! read more

My husband and I have not moved in 20 years. To say the least, our house was an overabundance of items! Lou was great walking me through his partners in charities, and other service providers. He walked through our house and provided suggestions for preparing. Then when our day came, yesterday, the Martina Team of 6 men arrived at the door. They were on time, courteous, and couldn't have been any kinder! Each room carefully wrapped and moved to the truck. I even heard them singing while they were working. Who does that, right? What an awesome experience. The entire day was like that. The guys even told me if I change my mind about the location of something just let them know. Thank you so much Bargain Movers. I don't move very often but if I did, I would definitely choose this company again. Thank you to all of the Team! read more

These guys moved us in and out yesterday and they were amazing. They were so fast that they moved stuff out before we were packed up, so they helped us pack. They took care of all of our artwork like it was their own. They broke down and re-assembled all of our furniture lighting fast. And they brought all of the packing materials we needed and didn't even know we needed. AND our bill was exactly what they quoted. I cannot recommend these guys enough. This was my second time using Bargain Movers and I'm so glad I did! I am in the Baltimore area now instead of the DMV but they were still able to help me. Martina and Victor are friendly and professional; they did a great job in letting me know what to expect, making scheduling easy and hassle free. They confirmed the day before and were so wonderful to work with. The day of my move, Willy, Douglas, and Felix worked quickly and efficiently, moving me from a third floor walk up into a town home in 5 hours. Their work ethic was impressive and they worked tirelessly until the job was done. They were very careful with my furniture and handled all of my items with care despite so many flights of stairs. In my moving experiences, I have always used friends to help with my moves. This time I decided to hire professionals. I called around to numerous companies. I found the office staff at Bargain Movers was professional, friendly, and helpful. I explained to the office staff that I was new to using movers and they were able to walk me through what to expect. Bargain Movers were the most affordable out of the companies I called. The moving team arrived on time. They packed and wrapped all my belongings with care. The cost included breaking down and reassembling beds & clothes hung back in closest. The total actually came in a little lower than the quote. Needless to say, I was very satisfied and would recommend Bargain Movers to everyone looking to make their mover easier! read more

My friend came to ask me about moving. It reminded me of a moving experience I had years ago. I picked a firm to move us because they were cheap. A big mistake! Not only did they arrive one hour late, but they didn't want to move large\heavy furniture or go up\down steps without extra money. I dismissed this firm. I then called Bargain Movers by chance to see if they could move us on such a short notice. The owner I spoke to was politely responsive and said they could move us that day. The moving team came shortly after. They started to work immediately. They were professional, careful, hard working, and very efficent. Background: Just moved our 3 BR townhouse into a house (Bethesda to Silver Spring). We packed and moved all the boxes/small items, they moved the furniture. Pros: --Showed up on time, were efficient, listened to direction for placement --Finished early --Reasonably priced ($170/hr for 3 movers) Cons: --Took 1.5 hours for lunch --Made some unnecessary comments about my house because they didn't think I understood Spanish --Did not move our lamps because they did not tell us they needed particular boxes to move them Overall, I would use them again read more

The team of three that moved us from a house to a condo was one I would never use again. So proud of how fast they were...but so sloppy. Banged into walls and doors in the condo. Put items in the wrong rooms....even though every item was clearly marked as to destination. Very rough with the furniture. Small vacuum just dumped in the wrong room with pieces all apart and spreading the vacuum dust all over the living room. They needed to slow down and do things correctly rather than worry about their fastest team label. To be fair, the younger guy on the team was very conscientious, which was very much appreciated. He should be on a better team. This review was written for the move of Jenny Chapin in May 2021. Previously recommended by Lana and did a fantastic job on first move for Jenny. Unfortunately this team was not their best because they have done an excellent job in the past. read more

We used Bargain Movers because our real estate agent recommended them and I'm so glad that we did. The process was simple. The owner, Luis, came by our home to survey what we needed to move and a quote was provided by the following day. We paid a $500 deposit as a commitment to the contract. On moving day, 4 of the nicest gentlemen came to pack up and load all of our belongings. They were friendly, kind, and so hardworking. They took great care of our items and nothing was lost or broken. The same guys drove the truck down from MD to SC so it was great to see their familiar faces on move in day.
