We were very happy with Bargain Movers and highly recommend them. The movers were scheduled to arrive between 8:00 and 8:30 and showed up promptly at 8:00. They were polite and had good comraderie the whole 8 1/2 hours it took to move us from one home to the next. Most importantly, nothing was lost, damaged or broken. On the administrative end, Louis and Martina were very friendly and eager to help us in answering any and all of our questions prior to our move. We felt prepared, ready and excited when we moved because Bargain Movers helped to take a lot of the anxiety out of such an emotionally and physically exhausting experience. read more

Bargain Movers over delivered on my expectations. Incredible.professionalism, credibility, cost effective, and methodical. I highly recommend that if you live in the DMV and need to move contract this firm. I will use them if I have to move again!! read more

I just moved last week and used Bargain Movers on a recommendation from a friend. They were absolutely fantastic! Javier and Willy showed up exactly when they said they would. They were both extremely friendly and professional. They were very quick and efficient and had me moved out and in in no time. They put the furniture needed to be reassembled back together and made sure it was exactly where I wanted it. I would highly recommend using Bargain Movers to anyone looking for a mover. read more

Third time we have used Bargain movers, 2x for us and this last time for my mom. They were great. We had them pack out my mom's house too. They ran out of boxes (which was the only issue we had with the move) but did their best to work around the issue. They communicated throughout the day and were helpful and kind. No hidden fees, no extra charges (despite my mom having A LOT of stuff) and they kept great attitudes the whole day. They had to disassemble and reassemble her hospital bed to get it into the new condo and did so without hesitation upon arrival (without prior notice). I really appreciated the front office calling the day before to confirm (I didn't have to confirm, although it had been on my to do list that day!). I hope we don't have to move again any time soon, but I will always call these guys if and when we do. read more

We highly recommend Bargain Movers - excellent price and service. Friendly and competent employees. Why go w a company that charges 2 to 3 times more? This is a great company. Would use again. read more

Called them in a pinch and they squeezed our move in! The guys moving us were so nice and careful, and got our job done quickly! Love that this is a family owned business and they really care!! Highly recommend them!!! read more

Fantastic moving service! 4 hours from arrival to handing them a check when they were done. Very careful with all of my furniture and managed obstacles that included stairs and several small humans with great care! read more

I had a such a GREAT experience that I am spreading the word!! From start to finish, they were very professional and accommodating to my situation. Even when my settlement was delayed, they escalated the issue to the owner and worked to store my furniture and reschedule my move. They were also very protective of my furniture and provided good suggestions on how to best pack and move my delicate items. Many thanks to the Bargain Movers team!! read more

I used bargain movers to move my super packed 1br into a spacious 2br. They came with a 26 foot moving truck and 3 guys. The key thing to mention here is how clean, organized, and neat the move was. The guys are efficient. Telling them what to do or how to do is a waste of time. Just let them do their job and when they showed up, that's exactly what I did. Some pointers though... pack all of your things beforehand. These guys will help you pack but it just eats up valuable moving time and they are on the clock, so the more prepared you are, the quicker the move will go. Take everything off of the furniture. They will shrink-wrap couches, pad tables, and pad chairs. Everything gets shrink-wrap so rain or shine, they can move you and it all stays clean. Go to Home Depot and purchase boxes, bubble wrap, and foam for packing dishes. As I stated before, the more prepared you are, the faster your move goes, and the less you spend on the actual movers. Company charges for travel time and by the hour. It's very reasonable, professional, and easy. Get the extra insurance offered just in case!!! read more

I had a good experience with Bargain movers, who moved me twice in the DC/MD/VA area. I say all this with the following caveat--I'm not picky about my belongings, and I don't have much stuff, so the cons weren't really as bad, in my opinion. But I can see how others might want to know this information. Pros: I was able to get a truck and movers on short notice. The move was fast, efficient, and the movers were professional. The movers showed up early and got to work but didn't start the clock until the scheduled time. Cons: I was told that I would have a third mover free of charge, but I had only two. My bookcase was broken in the move (but I didn't tell the movers that it would come apart in two pieces and the movers put it back together). I've used Bargain movers twice and would use them again! read more

It was a pleasure working with Bargain Movers. I called them based on the high rating on yelp and Luis was professional, and friendly, he was clear and upfront about their services and pricing. His crew was on-time on moving day and they were friendly, professional as well. They efficiently got the job done sooner than projected. I'd highly recommend them. Thanks! read more

Great service. I shopped around and got an exact quote to stay within my budget. They never surprise billed me after the move on any items. That was my biggest concern. The actual movers were friendly, fast, on time and most important safe with our furniture. I would definitely recommend Bargain Movers. They are top notch from beginning to end. read more

Bargain Movers exceeded my expectations. I provided my info on line and by the next morning the owner called me to answer any of my questions (only company to respond back). My move date kept moving and the owner Luis kept following up to make sure he had a slot for me. My move took 12 1/2 hours because I had so much stuff. The movers kept a smile even though they would be returning home late. They only took a break when I asked them to eat lunch and dinner. They worked hard and usually would carry 3 boxes at 1 time to help speed up the process. I had 2 trucks, 2 movers and nothing was broken. I highly recommend. read more

I've used Bargain Movers approx. 3 times for moves and they are totally professional and fast. Great Company!I

Three things stand out from my experience with Bargain Movers: 1. One of Bargain Movers' competitors recommended their services to me (their competitor wasn't available to move on the day I requested, which is why they made the recommendation). You know you're good at what you do when even your competitors are comfortable recommending you. 2. In keeping with their name, their hourly rate was about $70 less than the other moving companies from which I requested quotes. Moreover, they gave me suggestions on how to cut my moving costs even further, which put me at ease because I knew they weren't trying to run up the price on me. 3. Their movers were phenomenal. They were exceedingly polite, highly efficient, and delivered everything undamaged. I had them move a piece of exercise equipment down to my basement office, but after they had already left, l decided l wanted it in the garage. My dad and l had to partially disassemble it and take the door off to move it, yet Bargain's movers somehow got it through a tight space without disassembling it or making a single mark on the wall or the piece of equipment! If you want a move done right and at an affordable price, be sure to call Bargain Movers! read more

I called Bargain Movers last minute for a weekend move. I got a reasonable estimate and hired them. The three man team that showed up that Saturday morning were professional, worked hard and worked fast. By the time the move was complete, they had finished the job in 1 hour less time than the estimate! I highly recommend Bargain Movers and would use them again in the future based on my experience. read more

This was my third time using Bargain Movers and it will not be my last because they are just that good. The moves have always been business moves (from one office to another location). They are fast, efficient, very professional and friendly. It does not matter which crew you get. All of them are great. Another thing I like about this company is that the owner will talk to you himself. He is hands on as opposed to being in the background. He is friendly and his employees follow his lead. Would highly recommend this service! read more

The movers showed up on time, were totally involved in the tasks at hand and finished the work at the original price quoted. They were very personal and diligent. Great job and great guys! read more

I would definitely use Bargain Movers again. I was very careful about selecting a mover getting quotes from four companies. The quotes were all over the place. I chose Bargain Movers because Luis was extremely personable and took a lot of time to talk to me. Their hourly rate was reasonable, and his quote was reasonable. I didn't have a lot of stuff, so 3 people for 8 hours was the quote and it came in at 6.5 hours. The movers themselves were quick and efficient. They were in a hurry that's for sure. And maybe not happy that I had more stuff than they thought, which meant more work. But they were friendly and careful and the move was a great success. read more

I have used Bargain Movers twice and both times they were very professional. I was worried about this last move due to the rain, but they moved my things with caution and still maintained to stay within the time frame they gave me. I will recommend them to my family and friends. read more

Thank you to the whole Bargain Movers team for making our move organized, simple and stress free! I have moved several times over the past 5 years and this was by far the most professional experience I have had. From the first call with Luis everything was as he said it would be. In addition, my move came in under the quoted price and the contract and day of moving crew were all on time!! Thank you so much and excellent work Luis, Martina, Miguel, Selvin, Mack and Jairo! I will definitely call you guys again when I move! read more

I used Bargain Movers for a small move. It was a 2 bedroom, 2 bath apartment move to a single family home. The guys were SUPER fast and careful with my stuff. They did a good job, were courteous and professional. I'd definitely use them again! read more

Bargain movers did a great job start to finish, from the estimate to the actual move and unpacking. They did the job under the estimate also by 500$. Douglas, Javier and Juan did the actual move and were hardworking, professional, and careful. I would hire them again, no question. read more

Great movers. They removed our furniture, stored it and brought it back when our house renovation was done. They even moved and stored our piano. Did a great job and were reasonably priced. Would use them again. read more

What a joke , the owner is not very smart and his employees are all liars. The didn't show up after I scheduled a move and paid a deposit nor did they give me the courtesy to contact me and let me know they weren't coming. What a joke Do yourself a favor don't waste your time with this poor excuse of a moving company. read more

Used them for a small local move. The moving industry has a bad reputation of scams, being difficult to work with, and operators that are looking to play games to charge more. We had an issue where a piano that was on the inventory was left off the move orders... I have to admit that I thought here we go... However, after calling Luis he took responsibility for the mistake and stepped up to make things good. He coordinated piano movers for the same day and made things right. I can say that Luis helps break the bad reputation movers have! Thank you! I am happy to say the move went well, including the piano. I can now recommend Luis and Bargain Movers to anyone looking for an honest moving company. read more

Read no more reviews and pick up the phone and ask for Luis the owner and get a quote! NOW! What are you waiting for?? We had a large move from Potomac to Charlottesville! Our 10,000 square foot house would be a lot for anyone! Not so for Luis and his team of excellent workers, great attitudes, clean, on time, no goofing off and very professional! I promise you! You will not regret this team of highly professional individuals! They may not be the biggest movers in town but they are #1 with me and they won't let you down! read more

This is my second 5 star review for Bargain Movers. Steve called me every month to check in with me about my move back into our house. I know they appreciate their customers business. Everything from booking a date to sending a reminder and following up with me to make sure things went well is part of good business. Martina is lovely over the phone and handles the paperwork to make it painless for you. The crew of guys who move the furniture and boxes are friendly, hardworking, and careful. They want to do their best and care about you as the customer. This is a business completely catered to the client. read more

Good experience, from the estimate through the service itself. The owner took time to help us understand how to make our move successful and keep costs to a minimum. The moving team were professional, worked very hard, took care of our property, and had a great attitude. All in all, this was a stress free experience, welcome at a very stressful time. read more

I've been a client of Bargain Movers since at least 2016. They've moved me at least 3 times and I've always been quite pleased with the level of service and communication, professionalism, and efficiency and friendliness of the office and moving staff. Bargain Movers is my go-to choice when I require moving services - I trust them and know they'll take care of my personal belongings. I'll be calling them for another move in 2021 and I highly recommend Bargain Movers. read more

Quite simply the best move I've experienced! My family and I have moved 4 times in the last 5 years, gaining family members and goods for through each move. Dealing with Bargain Movers was a pleasure - starting with the consultation (phone and in-person) with Luis, and the movers on the day of the move. The company communicates very effectively to make sure that you understand how the move will go, and provides an estimate that was spot-on. Day of the move, the movers showed up on time, they were respectful, hard-working, and wrapped and moved everything very professionally. I highly recommend Bargain Movers! read more

I recently used Bargain Movers for the first time, on the recommendation of a friend of mine. They were wonderful! They arrived right on time with 4 strong guys. Not only did they solve some logistical issues with getting a HUGE piece of furniture down one level and out of my house, they carefully moved all my furniture and boxes from a 3-story townhouse, to a third floor apartment - many stairs to climb with heavy loads. They were very careful with wrapping my furniture for protection and not leaving any marks on walls, etc. They were efficient, quick, and cleaned up the old place after they left. I would use them again in a heartbeat, and I will highly recommend them to my friends. read more

We used this company for a local move. They were very slow and after only 2 hours decided to take a 40 minute break without telling me. I called the office to be told that they just went to the local 7-11. They were not at that location nor anywhere in my neighborhood. The move was very local-less than 2 miles. They returned and had no explanation as to why they were gone so long. After the move, I noticed many of my belongings were missing. This is a very dishonest company and they are not a bargain either. So not only did I not save money, I was robbed as of many valuable belongings as well. Note to the owner: We did use your services-please do not ry to say you did not see our name in your records (your usual excuse for all the bad reviews)-The move was under my spouses name. We are looking into legal ways to remedy this matter. read more

Horrible experience. They just want to be paid. Left boxes, furniture any where they wanted-no place to walk. Blocked heating vents with boxes. Left without finishing job. read more

When the movers we hired did not show up the morning of the move, I called Bargain Movers hoping they could move us with such short notice. Not only were they VERY gracious and responsive, they were here with their truck less than 2 hours after I called them. Darryl and Thomas were awesome! They were professional, polite and handled all our household belongings with care. I highly recommend and will definately refer Bargain Movers to my friends and family. I will also keep their number handy for our next move. Moving is stressful, and to rely on moving help with confidence is invaluable!! Thanks again Bargain Movers!! read more

Used Bargin Movers in Aug 2016. Steve showed for estimate. Right on time. Was pleasant & informative. He estimated 8 hours with his crew. I received a call day before move to confirm appointment. Crew showed at 8am. The crew moved everything by noon and had all boxes & furniture in new home by mid afternoon. Then they helped me move boxes and furniture I already had in home. Saved alot of time for me in days ahead. Great well run local company. Think before you call some big national company.......u may be sorry. read more

I found Bargain Movers on Yelp at the last minute as the company I had used for the last several years were unable to change my moving date at the last minute and boy am I ever thankful for that. I just bought a house so most likely won't be moving again anytime soon but Bargain Movers are the MOVE. They were on time ( even a little early) and the guys were courteous, hard working and friendly. My entire move out of an apartment and into my new 3 level townhome took 2.5 hours. I was amazed that it could go that quickly with just 3 guys. It cost me LESS than estimated. When does that ever happen? Never! I can't say enough wonderful things. I have had movers in the past who seemed to drag things out and these guys just kept it moving. I am beyond impressed. I highly recommend this company. You will not be disappointed!! read more

These guys made up for the horrendous experience I had with the last moving company I used. I paid what I was quoted (with no surprises at the end of the move), they called to confirm beforehand AND they turned up on time. read more

My move ended up being during one of the heaviest downpours we've had in a while, with roads flooded and cars needing rescues. The Bargain Movers team did not complain and cheerfully loaded up my belongings quickly, somehow managing to keep everything dry. Everything arrived in good condition. And Bargain Movers' rates were better than those of some of its competitors. read more

Great movers, they were quick and knew what they were doing. I would definitely use them again. My family was lucky to get a great deal from Angie's List for 3 hours w/truck & 3 men for just under $500. They moved all of our heavy furniture and got most of everything on 1 trip. My only regret is that we didn't use them for the whole day. read more
