My move ended up being during one of the heaviest downpours we've had in a while, with roads flooded and cars needing rescues. The Bargain Movers team did not complain and cheerfully loaded up my belongings quickly, somehow managing to keep everything dry. Everything arrived in good condition. And Bargain Movers' rates were better than those of some of its competitors. read more

I found Bargain Movers on a whim and decided to use them. I was able to read past reviews that highly recommended them. So I did. I was quite happy with their service and would recommend them for any move. read more

Having relocated my household cross-country 2x, moved within cities a few times, shipped my cars twice coast-to-coast and transported random furniture and antiques from one city to another, I think I've got good perspective about moving companies. The good, the bad, the ugly. And these guys were great. They're responsive - I heard from them within minutes of sending an email asking for an estimate - and they have a solid customer-friendly system of clarifying your needs, getting you to think about what you might be forgetting, setting the schedule, confirming details and sending reminders. Most people might care only about the actual move itself but personalized advance service is critical if there are problems. Martina, who was my point of contact there, was conscientious and terrific. Worth noting that I'd sent out five emails to local movers recommended by my community listserv and today, two weeks later, I still haven't heard from three of them, including one who's constantly sending this same listserv emails soliciting business. Good luck on that. The move was painless. The two movers (Jorge and Carlos) were professional, friendly and attentive to my belongings. Since this whole move was unexpected for me and needed to be scheduled quickly, I'd forgotten that I had a number of loose (unboxed) items. No problem: they carefully put the items in two large cardboard bins and didn't stop moving. While I'd offered to do whatever might be needed, their response was, "Just relax. We're fine." And they finished sooner than the estimated time. Moving can be stressful. This company is simply a pleasure to work with and I'm only sorry that they just work regionally since I wouldn't think twice about having them handle my planned return from DC to LA. read more

I dont know what that other yelper was talking about (giving 2 stars???) I give Bargain movers 10 stars if possible!!! The team not only boasts amazing rates, but their level of service was thru the roof. I had to push back my move 2 times due to a delay in settlement. The owner, Luis, was accomodating and understanding. He scheduled me for a sunday!!! AWESOME... The crew showed up promptly at 9am to move us from our 3 bedroom home with finished basement in rockville md. Destination, gaithersburg....They were friendly, professional, spoke great english, and put down walking mats, door mats, saran wrapped furniture, put pads on any fragile furniture, and packed the truck perfectly like a high score on TETRIS... When we arrived, the crew began unloading all boxes/furniture after they put down pads and floor protection. The guys beasted it! 3 guys moving all my stuff up to the 3rd and 4th floors of my condo...NO ELEVATOR!!! they took few breaks for water/gatorade, and when they did, it was only for 2-3 minutes. When they were done, Luis' estimate was spot on!!! most movers estimate low, and cost MORE...I paid exactly what he quoted....I still cant get over the level of service that i recieved.. I loved working with this company. I also build homes for a living, and I will recommed BARGAIN MOVERS to every customer that I have the pleasure of working with. That is how satisfied I am. I will vouch for BARGAIN any day of the week. if you had a "bad experience" with them, its probably because YOU are an idiot or you were too stressed out about moving...DONT blame bargain for your own personal problems.... Make sure to label the boxes so the crew knows what room to take it to, so they can keep on TRUCKIN' Thanks CREW, see you on my next MOVE!!! read more

Bargain Movers provided various pricing options that allowed us to select an option that saved us money and met our moving needs. They arrived on-time with all the necessary equipment (carts, plastic wrap, moving cloths). They worked quickly and carefully. I would definitely use them next time. read more

I had to use bargain movers when I was moving from one apartment community that had three levels (all stairs) and I was on the top floor to another community that had elevators. This mind you was all during a snow storm where we got 1-3 inches of snow. They pulled through fast, thorough, and friendly. They packed up and wrapped, sealed, and covered everything. They even took apartment my bed frame and re-assembled it in the new place. They come equipped with everything. They even helped me assemble a different new bed-frame that i purchased that was still in the box! You basically pay by the hour and the prices are very fair. They moved our bulk items, sofa, 2 chairs, random furniture, beds, etc all very quickly. They were done in less than 4 hours and has they not helped me assemble the beds it would have been closer to 3 hours. My items were in great condition after the move. Also if there's rain or anything like that they even provide for $75 a plastic sheet they can roll out on your carpet (if you have carpet) or even hardwood i think. That prevents dirt, mud, rain, water from tracking onto the floor. You can purchase for $50 at home depot or lowes but its nice to know they have the supplies. They were all very friendly and asked questions when they weren't sure on something. I was quite impressed and this is now my second move with them. I'll definitely be using them when I go from my apartment to my new house 3-5 years from now. Thank you bargain movers for such an easy transition. Michael read more

I am downsizing and fixing up my house for sale. I contacted Bargain Movers to take most of my furniture out so workers could refinish the floors. They were 40 minutes late (no big deal), worked well, were careful, and overall did a very good job. The reason they are getting 3 stars instead of 5 is because the $775 estimate turned out to be $1100 -- $267 for "packing materials" (I saw maybe $40 worth) and $200 for "first day" of the goods in storage. Yes, it did appear on the estimate -- BELOW the total line -- and I did not notice it. And no, the owner, who came himself to survey what the job would take, did not mention this to me. read more

Wonderful customer service from my initial inquiry to the day of my move! The price was reasonable and they were very efficient with all of my request. I would highly recommend Bargain Movers to my friends and family! read more

I tend to move around a lot and I must say that Bargain Movers was definitely the best moving experience thus far. The crew was professional, fast, and knowledgeable. The were on time and did not damage any of my items. There was a slight issue with the final payment amount at the end but I was able to straighten it out with the owner. I will definitely use them again and I highly recommend Bargain Movers! read more

These guys were great until I realized that one of the movers stole my expensive watch. No doubt about. It was secured in my office desk draw prior to the move. When it arrived at my new house, it was gone. If you use them, secure all your valuables. read more

I heard about Bargain Movers from a family friend. He raved about them so after getting quotes from 4-5 companies we choose Bargain Movers and we're so glad we did. We moved from VA to NC. From start to finish they were personal, flexible and had great customer service. They called us the day before to confirm delivery times and arrived on time. The two young men who moved our stuff were quick, efficient, careful, and friendly. They made sure that all boxes and furniture was put together and in the correct location before they left. Their flat rate was reasonable and the timing was excellent. No other moving company I got quotes from had next day service. They picked up our stuff Friday morning and it was there Saturday morning. I can't say enough about this company. I highly recommend them. Just wish I could use them for our next move here in NC. read more

If you are looking for a careful and efficient moving company with an excellent and responsive staff, look no further. Bargain Movers handled a recent move of mine that needed to happen on a tight schedule. They arrived in time. Their professional packers wrapped and boxed up everything in record time. And they even recommended where to place my furniture in my new home. I never knew movers could be this good. Now I do. Thank you, Bargain Movers! read more

Very satisfied customer here. Bargain Movers managed to squeeze us in at the last minute after the moving company owned by a friend of a friend we were going to use flaked. The office staff, including the owner were great and the movers were efficient, courteous, and careful. Needless to say I'd definitely use them again. read more

I am getting married and both my fiancé and I have homes (duplicates of furniture) so I needed a moving company that could pack up items in my home, deliver some items to my parent's house and other items to my fiancé's home, pick up a piano along the way and also help rearrange some heavy furniture in my fiancé's home. Bargain Movers was helpful and professional start to finish. They are very customer service oriented and their rates are very fair. The employees who did all the heavy lifting were hard workers and moved quickly. They had a great "can do" attitude and made the move enjoyable. read more

Great experience with Bargain Movers. They were prompt, worked hard and took care of all of my items. Would absolutely recommend them. Great job! read more

Don't let the name full you! Bargain Movers may have bargain prices but definitely not bargain service or quality. I was very pleased with Bargain Movers for my recent move. From the first contact to the last they were very personable, helpful, and did a great job with the actual move. Due to COVID, Luis did a virtual walkthrough of my home in order to provide an estimate. The process was easy and went smoothly, and Luis was very patient with my numerous questions during the walkthrough. The estimate was good value compared to other estimates I received. I had several followup questions and both Luis and Martina were very responsive and helpful. Luis was also very helpful in figuring out how to get a large number of my boxes into a storage facility, and in recommending a storage facility and also a post move junk removal company. Both turned out to be excellent recommendations. Luis was also very patient and helpful with the additional regulations that existed at my new place for moving during COVID. The movers were at my home for two days - first day doing some packing and taking some of my stuff to the storage facility, and the second day was the actual move. The movers were very nice and friendly and did an excellent job packing and moving. They were very careful and every piece of furniture was wrapped or covered. So far I have not discovered anything damaged. All in all, I was very pleased with Bargain Movers and highly recommend them. read more

The crew was on time and fast! If I had to move again, I would choose this company to do it. My only complaint would be due to the need for me to be at the site. I labeled everything that they were to take and went through the place with them showing them the items I needed them to move and because I had to secure my pet and meet the cable guy at the destination address I needed to leave. I assumed they would complete loading the truck and then just drive over to the destination address but when I returned to see what was taking them so long, I realized they were waiting on me to give them the OK to move. That was the purpose of me labeling and showing them the items in the first place. Other than that, which ate an hour $$$, I am very pleased with the job that was done and how quickly it was performed. They also had to bring the sofa portion of my over-sized sectional over the deck and into the house. Nothing was destroyed or damaged. I did catch one of the movers kicking my sofa pillows over to the side of the deck but to be honest, it isn't that big of a deal. I thought my furniture and mattresses would be wrapped but they weren't. Little nitpicky things like that which do not and should not detract from the fact that the crew did a great job and the overall cost was affordable. Would definitely choose this company again. read more

My experience with Bargain Movers was incredible! The management staff is extremely professional, friendly, and cooperative - they were attentive to all of our needs and concerns. The movers themselves worked quickly and efficiently (and without dollys for a majority of the move) - finishing much sooner than the allotted time. They arrived at 8:00am and had us out of our old apartment and into our new apartment by 10:30. They were extremely careful with breakable items and made sure to wrap them all properly. Absolutely no hidden fees - our contract listed all costs for the move. I would highly recommend them for anyone in the DC-Metro area needing to make a move! read more

Bargain Movers was everything I needed and then some! From the home walk through to do the estimate to the end of our SECOND move in 4 months, they were absolutely fantastic. Professional, kind, customer service oriented, and supportive. Luis, Steve, and Martina were available and quick to respond to my questions in an incredibly timely way. The packing and moving crew (Jose was my crew chief twice and he is AMAZING!) were incredible,. They took great care of all of our belongings, were thorough and careful with everything, kind to my family and me, efficient, and flexible. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a moving company. They are awesome!!! read more

My experience with Bargain Movers was simply amazing. I found them after getting two very positive referrals from coworkers who also had wonderful experiences. From the very first contact, the Staff was courteous and understanding of my needs. I could really tell that they were experienced and understood the process and how my home inventory converted to the truck and person need. Everything fit perfectly (and quickly) into the two trucks that were sent to us. Not only was my quote accurate, but the movers moved so fast that they came finished FASTER than the original quote! I have never seen four men move more quickly in my entire life. And they were so friendly. My 13-month old son was a bit apprehensive about the move, but the men actually took the time to smile and play with him as they passed by. I would highly recommend Bargain Movers to anyone making a local move. Their prices, work ethic, and friendliness are unbeatable in the industry. read more

Very easy, they were in and out and wrapped up everything nice and tight. They also brought extra boxes for my wardrobe. They even placed it on the rack for me, about as easy as at it gets. I've moved several times and this is by far the best experience. Before they left they made sure they had gotten everything and placed it exactly where it needed to go at returning location. read more

When we started our process of moving, we made several calls before asking for an estimate from Bargain. From the first contact we had nothing but great vibes from them -- The estimator that came to do the walk through (Steve) was polite, knowledgeable and on time! We scheduled the move for a month in advance. We had to call and reschedule the date 3 times and each call was treated with "no problem!" The day of the move came and two trucks and 4 guys showed up 1/2 hour early which was a bonus as it is a 4 bedroom, 3 level house. It was obvious they knew what they were doing right from the beginning and had everything we told them to load, loaded and ready to roll 5 hours later. We had them delivering to 2 places (an apartment we are renting while waiting for new house to be finished) and storage to hold the rest that wouldn't fit. They did this perfectly. We hadn't prepared as good as we thought we had, so there was loose stuff left in the house we figured we would just finish up ourselves, but in the meantime, I got sick and time was running short to get the house completely cleared, so we decided the best move was to call Bargain again to come help finish up. That is scheduled for tomorrow so I will update the review after that, but I have no doubt they will do a bang up job with this part too! We also plan on hiring them to move us to the new house in August! The update: They sent 2 guys who hustled and packed up everything in sight! They did a fantastic job! We will be asking for the same crew in August! I highly recommend them! read more

Prompt and efficient service! Movers worked hard and were able to finish the job 2 hours prior to estimated time! The owner Luis was very accommodating of my situation as my closing date had been rescheduled several times. The movers carry items behind their back, which I have never seen! However when I thought about it, it makes much more sense in terms of ensuring nothing is dropped and movers have the most stability and agility of their body. They required little to no supervision. I will definitely use them again for my next move, and recommend them without reservation to anyone I know. Thanks! read more

They were efficient and reasonably priced. They checked in with us twice before our move, to confirm date, locations, and time and to see if we needed any moving supplies. They were timely and quick the day of the move and finished in the exact time they had estimated. The movers were very nice as well and set up all the furniture in the new condo before completing the job. If I have to hire movers again, I would call them immediately. read more

This was my first time needing a moving company to assist me with my move. Naturally I was nervous and did not know who to trust with all of my valuables. I was extremely impressed with the level of service that was provided during my move earlier this month. My initial inquiry to Bargain Movers was by web. I submitted my request and 5 MINUTES later; I received a personal call from the owner with a quote. This was impressive and unlike any others companies I called. He really cared and showed that he wanted my business. It was a personal touch and affirmation that I needed. They had the BEST price and the BEST service up front. On the day of the move, the crew arrived early and they came with an additional guy FREE of charge. They were extremely professional. They even offered to help lift smaller items that I loaded into my personal car. They got started right away after introducing themselves and DID NOT stop working until 4 hours later! They were quick they were gentle with fragile items. They took the time to make sure that things were packed and loaded with care. Before leaving they made sure that we were pleased with the placement of all the boxes. I absolutely, hands down would use this company again and again and again. There are exceptional and blew my first time moving experience out of the water. BEST IN TOWN!!! read more

I picked several movers from the Yellow Pages and called for estimates. Of four, 2 never returned my call, and one other did but left a brief non-engaging message without any information. Opposite reaction from these guys- Martina said Luis was tied up for a few minutes, but would call me right back, and he did- after closing time (5pm), and was super friendly and efficient. I told him I was going through a hard time and moving was very upsetting to me, and he was very understanding. The estimate was very reasonable, right in my budget, and I decided right away to use them. He even offered to delay the move time 2 hours to 10AM when my requested pm date was booked, and I told them I was not a morning person. The driver/movers arrived a half hour early (not on the clock!) and offered to help me finish up packing a few pieces of glassware from my antique china closet, but I am very fussy and preferred to do it myself. The 'guys' were courteous, efficient and fast; they finished early and actually the final bill was less than the 'minimum' estimate, which I appreciated very much. The only reason this is not a five star review is that the younger mover disregarded my carefully labeled boxes 'china/glassware- extremely fragile!' and piled 3 boxes on top of each other on his BACK and then ran with them so they bounced, and then laughed when I freaked and told him to slow down! I have a lot of valuable (at least emotionally) antiques, and I would rather he was careful and took his time than risk damage to save time and money. Fortunately nothing was broken; there were just a few friction burns on one cabinet, but nothing I was upset about as the piece already had a few issues to start with (which I pointed out to them.) All in all a very positive experience, especially compared to others I've had. Highly recommended. read more

I have used Bargain Movers twice now, and both times they did a fantastic job. The movers were polite and friendly. They worked efficiently and were very careful with my belongings. They skillfully packed all of my stuff into a storage unit and when they moved it all back into an apartment, they asked me which room to put the boxes in and they reassembled my bed and helped me get my TV situated on my entertainment stand. They showed up early and finished early too. I have recommended Bargain Movers to multiple friends and I will continue to do so. I'm very pleased with the service they provided! read more

Our recent short distance move with Bargain Movers went very smoothly. We had three movers who were experienced, courteous, and careful with our stuff. Excellent service from the initial call to the final move. The team of movers never stopped working. They packed my apartment and loaded the truck in record time. I would never look anywhere else except here. Bargain Movers was professional and exceeded my expectations from the very beginning all the way to the end. They showed up on time early in the morning to move our furniture from a townhouse to a single family home. The guys were very friendly and FAST! And by fast I do not mean careless. We had a lot of heavy, old, antique furniture that I am very sentimental about and they were wonderful. They placed everything exactly where I asked, right down to the last box. The thing that puts them way beyond the top is we had a large sectional sofa that needed to go in the basement. It wouldn't fit! I started to worry and the guys actually disassembled it for us, and were able to bring it down the narrow steps into the basement and reassemble it. They did not complain or act like they needed to be somewhere else. I wish I could use them again but we don't plan on moving any time soon! This was our fist time using a moving company and they made it totally worth it! read more

Bargain movers did an excellent job! They were on time and moved efficiently with very little direction which allowed me to finish up packing those annoying last minute items to avoid having to make a second trip later in the day on my own. They were professional and had solutions for my planning shortfalls such as having extra wardrobe boxes when my estimation was short. In addition they took great care with my things with no noticeable damage on any of my furniture and no broken items which is a first for me. We recently used Bargain Movers for an interstate move from New Jersey to Gaithersburg. From the initial consultation to the final move the service was wonderful! The in-house staff provided us with a very fair estimate and were quite courteous , it is clear they take the needs of their clients to heart. Luis the owner was particularly helpful and attentive. The staff of movers sent on the day of our move arrived promptly in New Jersey and were able to quickly asses each item and package all large furniture pieces very well. Their speed and accuracy were astounding with their pleasant and professional demeanor an added bonus. We were quite apprehensive having several pricier furniture pieces to be moved up several flights of stairs however they were impressively careful, diligent and quick. If I ever have to move within the area again I will be sure to use Bargain Movers again! Highly recommended! read more

From the my calling on a Saturday afternoon when I left message to the move 2 weeks later, Bargain Movers was absolutely outstanding!! I got a call from the owner within an hour of leaving my message. He was very helpful and clear about how the move would work, quoted a good price, and could do my move date: Saturday in 2 weeks. He made me feel very comfortable that I could put that headache away. The moving crew showed up on time (a few minutes early) were friendly and considerate and careful but didn't waste any time at all, and didn't lose a beat when not all the things I said I'd have packed were. They were nothing short of fantastic!! I cannot say enough good things about their effectiveness and efficiency. The whole experience from calling to signing the final paperwork was excellent -- and the price was a little under what I'd anticipated. Definitely will recommend them to anyone. read more
