After 5 years of jacking up our monthly rates to the point of extortion we finally emptied out our storage unit, close to $20000 later. Moved the last few boxes out on the first of the month and of course Public Storage will charge us for the full month. The local manager, James, said there was nothing he could do, no pro rated price or anything. Unbelievable. This is no less than high way robbery. Do NOT get involved with this place and there predatory business model. They lure you in with "low" prices, and when you're trapped they jack up the rates and slap you in the face on the way out. This is a consistently good storage facility. Having had two relatives recently get sick and have to move out of their homes and being responsible for clearing out their houses, I've had to use this facility for the last number of years to store things until I was able to dispose of their things. I called yesterday to rent a new unit and I can't tell you how helpful Jason was. Later in the day, I went into the facility and met with him. Customer service while working with him is outstanding. I am giving PS Goshen Road, management, a one star only because there is not the option for zero stars. I am moving and needed a storage unit while I was showing my home. I called and the manager / sales person told me they had a great deal for a $1 first month rental. I took it on the 17th of the month with all intention of vacating before the end of the month. On the first of the next month they charged me $196.00 for the prorated days remaining in the month. I spoke with Justin who was not helpful at all and did not offer the information that I needed, rather argued with me. I spoke to corporate who told me that I would get my $196.00 returned as long as I vacated before the 16th of the month (within the month timeframe). read more

Be VERY careful renting from this company. My unit was broken into and I have been fighting their insurance company for 3 months; they refuse to pay any insurance even though the police report clearly states that the unit was broken into. The Insurance company says it was not forcibly entered and therefore the insurance is not valid. If you do some research on the insurance company that Public Storage uses you will see that there are thousands of complaints and not one positive comment about this company so there is absolutely no reason to have insurance on your unit when this company will NEVER pay. read more

Public Storage canceled my transaction due to their error on the parking space size & they started over new transaction to correct their mistake,, the nxt day I check my bank account public storage charge my account twice for both transactions I called them & they told me it will take 8 weeks to get a check in the mail ( company policy it take 8 weeks 2 months to a check in the mail ) I cant believe Public Storage Will not credit my bank account for their mistakes & have me wait for 2 months for a check in the mail This is ridiculous this Company can't take care of their customers read more

I have had 3 units at this facility for a number of months. I was motivated to downsize and get rid of one of them because the rates are going up next month on both climate controlled units I have, but not the non climate controlled unit. The unit I vacated today has probably been rented for five or six months. When I rented this unit, the light did not work inside the unit. It was reported at that time. They never did fix it. So the entire time I had no light. Not sure if it was a burned out bulb or an electrical issue. The facility is conveniently located, and it's mostly kept clean. I would say if you need any kind of service, other than just renting a unit and paying your bill every month, you're probably not going to be overly thrilled with this place. Customer service could certainly be better and attention to detail on things such as lights being burned out inside the unit would be much appreciated going forward. It's not the first time. I've had a unit with a burned out life that they didn't bother to fix despite it being reported and requested to be repaired. read more

DO NOT rent from Public Storage. My stuff was here for less than a year and was destroyed by mold. I pay for a "climate controlled" unit and my rent was raised while I was here. Only to discover my $500 bedframe was destroyed by mold because water is leaking into one corner of my unit. The rent continues to increase but no basic improvements are made to the facilities. The gate is often broken, the door to enter the building where my unit is housed does not lock, and the latch is broken as if the door's been kicked in so anyone can walk in. There are rat traps out so they apparently have a rodent problem. If you are stupid enough (like me) to rent from them, don't use their insurance. Look up reviews for Sedgwick CMS, the company that processes claims for Orange Door Insurance, the one you will buy if you buy insurance from Public Storage. The reviews are terrible. The company and its representatives are worse than can even be put into words. They will make endless excuses to not pay for legitimate claims. They are rude and have no compassion for people who just lost hundreds of dollars worth of stuff. Currently they refuse to pay for my claim because I can't prove where water is coming from in my unit. Despite me sending several rounds of pictures of the growing puddles in my unit, because I'm not willing to play inspector gadget, scouring my dark, dirty unit on hands and knees or on a ladder for the source of the leak- which should really be the responsibility of the property staff- the insurance company has decided it is "normal" condensation "that just happens". "Just happens" in my climate controlled unit that my rent was just raised on???? The staff at the actual Public Storage are nice enough, but they will not go out of your way to help you, especially when it comes to dealing with insurance claims, or problems in your unit that are really the fault of the property. The worst place to store your belongings!! The staff can be helpful and friendly but they don't go out of their way to help and compensate for damaged items! They push for claim filing with insurance which we have but also I'm getting the run around by the insurance Travelers! Seeing that our renters insurance is not willing to cover the water damage to our personal belongings in no sense they tried to offer compensation!!! Their property had cracks on the floor and water sipped thru damped our boxes and mold spread thru 90% of our belongings from baby gear to bed frames that were wrapped, couches, clothes and such! The only thing I got was a sorry about that and allowed me a few days after contract was terminated to have our adjuster come look at the damage but Travelers didn't even bother! So now those items had to be thrown away! And only thing we got was a sorry and a denied claim!! Very upset do not store there or buy a policy with travelers!! read more

Unit was clean and easy to get to. Employees were friendly. Stored here for 10 months. At least 1 if not both gates were broken 9/10 months. Waiting for repairs took months. Security was poor. Snow removal was also poor, not just when there was 3 feet (I expect that) but also when one inch. All of lot very slippery and since it's built on a hill, this was dangerous. Only offer full month's payment. Moved out on 13th after being told I had to pay the whole month ahead of time. Customer service said no refund or prorated refund. only prorate move in month, which is $1 anyway. Plus rent went up after 4 months by 50%. read more

I am paying for an inside "air conditioned " unit, still got damage from mold. On top they keep increasing the rent without proper notice. The on site management offers no help when needed (if they are there, most of the time there is a sign that they will be back in 10). Corporate is even worse. I left my belongings here and about 99% of everything in my unit was ruined. There was a leak in unit causing mold to most of my stuff. I didn't discover it until it was too late. There was mold on everything I was able to salvage a couple things but most of the things I had to leave behind. When I found my unit the way I did the property manager refused to come down and look at the damage. When it came down for me to get my money for insurance purposes I had to wear a mask because the mold was so bad. They never tell you in you lease to turn in your lock in order to terminate your lease so they tried to charge me for another month on a damaged unit. The property manager is the rudest person you will ever encounter in customer service ever. The property manager was so rude that she tried to tell me that I still had to pay for another month on a damaged unit despite the fact that she never came down and looked at the unit. I ended up speaking with the district manager and it turns out that the property manager never reported the damage to my unit. Why you wouldn't report a leak is beyond me but she didn't. DO NOT RENT FROM THEM. The rent continues to increase. THEY HAVE RATS. THEY DO NOT KEEP UP WITH MAINTENANCE. They do not stay open during normal business hours. THEY ARE NOT PROFESSIONAL. I arrived at this location close to closing time and I was afraid that they would tell me to return the next day. However, Loreal accommodated me with a great deal of professionalism. She had a pleasant demeanor and even though the appointment lasted over 30 minutes past closing time, she did not complain once. She has also called twice since my belongings have been in storage to make sure all is well. I would definitely recommend this location and will use it in the future, if needed. read more

I can't say I have been impressed with my experience here. I was given a quote online, and then when I showed up to rent, that price had increased dramatically. I was able to argue it back down after showing evidence of my price quote. Then, the unit I was given had a ceiling that was falling down and not particularly clean. My biggest problem, however, and the reason I am moving all my items out, is that they regularly, as in every couple months, increase the monthly rate. It is now well over double the amount I was initially charged, and that was never listed as an introductory rate. They know you don't want to deal with the hassle of moving your stuff out, so they increase the rates without a second thought. I certainly would never use them again, and would never recommend them to anyone. read more

We had have nothing but issues with critters, ac constantly broken which is part of the climate control, both front gates broken, security door to units broken and so on. Always have problems with the upper management to get back in touch, I get better customer service at Walmart, and that is the saddest thing!!! The prices are constantly going up!! We moved our things in last October (2016). We noted to the staff that the light in the storage unit was not working. They assured us they would make the necessary fix immediately. Every time we came to the unit after that, we reported to staff that the light was still not working. They claimed the repair wasn't done because they needed our unit key. We gave it to them and they had our key for 4 months without fixing the light. As of this writing, the light is still out and now there's a gaping hole about the size of a baby pool in the ceiling that bridges our unit and the one next to it, which we complained about last time we were in. It's completely ridiculous that they haven't done a repair as simple as fixing a one-bulb light for an entire year. I've tried contacting their regional manager on several occasions with no reply. One star because it's literally the lowest I can go and still post a review. read more
