In one word, RESPONSIVE!…read more I purchased a new couch. I tried to give my old couch away, but after almost a month I was ready to get it out of the way. I have the thought of junking a totally useful piece of furniture, but what can you do?! My partner was looking for assistance hauling out some stuff and came across Cousins Hauling & Clean-Out on Yelp. She relayed the information and, problem solved. I reached out to them on a Thursday night while at work. By Friday morning they had already responded and we worked out a pick-up for Saturday morning. That's quick! You can go through the prompts on Yelp to get a quote. And what was quoted was exactly what I paid. Saturday morning they contacted me to relay the pick-up prior to mine turned out to be more than expected and they would be a bit late. I've gotta give it to them, they called 3 times. My phone was on silent so they wanted to make sure the new arrival time was okay. And in the end, they arrived earlier then that. They came in, wore masks, and made quick work of removing my couch. It was quick and painless. I paid with a credit card and had the receipt texted to my phone. They were professional, pleasant, and apologized for being late. He called the day of the appointment and said they needed more notice even though it had been over a week since I booked the service through their website for the services they addressed in their quote. My coworker told him he had to ask me about rescheduling and they weren't on the line when I picked up. They never called back so I called them. They offered to come back the next day and I said ok. He showed up the next day and tried to increase the quote because nothing was staged for them to pick up. Never a part of the quote or discussed when the quote was handled. I addressed it with him and he proceeded to argue with me about it. I sent him and his helpers on their way. I've used other haulers that show up when they're supposed to and don't bicker about things not being staged and try to charge you more. I was looking forward to getting junk removed today and it didn't happen because of unprofessionalism from the owner himself. We'll get it removed elsewhere. I'm reading bad reviews here and seeing his responses and they're funny because he's calling out his own customers to make it out to be their fault instead of learning from his mistakes. He was cool when he came to give the quote and was someone else when he showed up to get the job done - which never got done. And he was happy to walk away when I told him forget it I'll call someone else. Never tried to make it better. Absolutely ridiculous. Stubborn and rude and not what you'd expect from the owner of a company. It's junk removal. Period. They are nice folks who quietly took all the items I mentioned plus a few more things I asked about in person after they showed up. My roommates and I are vacating our apartment and did not anticipate the current situation (I'm talking about the Pandemic that shall not be named) so we needed someone to haul away items from an apartment that was lived in for 17 years. Luckily Elvise made a reasonable offer and came to grab the items wearing PPE, while exercising all the precaution for safety. They swiftly completed the job in less than 45 minutes. That has entailed a need to get rid of everything from an old big screen tv, mattresses, a sofa that weighed a metric ton, to miscellaneous things like scrap metal, rotted wood, old clothes, and enough dead leaves for a lifetime. I was shocked at the amount of actual "junk" we allowed ourselves to build up without brainstorming letting the professionals remove it, prior to now. I'm so glad we did though, because Junk Unlimited did the heavy lifting that would've taken us days, in a matter of a couple hours. Best of all, is that when I tried to be nosey (hehe) and find out where they dispose of people's junk, I was advised clothes and things of that nature are typically donated and that metals, old appliances, and things of that nature get recycled. Look at me being green with my dear old junk, LOL. When I reached out to Junk Unlimited, I was so pleased with their prompt response time, reasonable pricing, flexible hours including early mornings / weekends / evenings, and my overall customer experience. Then on the day of doing our junk removal, the Junk Unlimited team was so friendly and professional.
