After eating so much Southwestern, Sonoran, and New Mexican food, I was craving something familiar from home. I came across this bánh mì spot in an Asian plaza, and saw that Banhdicted is Vietnamese-owned, so I figured it would be a safe bet. The service was friendly, but the menu felt very Americanized. We ordered the AZ Special (đặc biệt), Chicken (gà), and BBQ Pork (thịt nướng). Since we ordered to-go, we asked for the pickled veggies and accoutrements on the side so the bánh mì wouldn't get soggy. They currently don't sell their Lemongrass Beef (bò nướng) due to rising costs. While waiting for our sandwiches, we went next door to the supermarket. I personally wanted softer bread since I'm still healing from wisdom teeth removal, but I can see why my siblings didn't enjoy it. The bread was soft, but it didn't have the right texture or consistency of a traditional Vietnamese bánh mì. There was also no pâté or mayo spread, which is my favorite part of a bánh mì. Even the pickled daikon and carrot (đồ chua) weren't cut quite right. They were a bit chunky, and some of the carrots were round. I had the AZ Special (đặc biệt), and the portion of meat felt very small. It only came with one type of cold cut, which was disappointing. The BBQ pork (thịt nướng) also lacked flavor overall. Unfortunate.

Taylor and Lexi took care of my order and made it fresh in front of me. They were so kind and amiable answering all my questions, I really appreciated how they treated me!!! I ordered the bbq pork banh mi sandwich and biting into it I was expecting the bread to be hard! It was immediately so soft and crispy and honestly, I think the bread was just my favorite thing aside from the fresh vegetables! I really wanted to get a lemongrass beef sandwich, but they no longer have that on the menu. I guess I'll have to make my own. They do have a premade fish sauce (bottle) that you can have on the side, but I found it to be very salty. I also ordered a large Vietnamese coffee, which was really good and strong! Definitely do recommend that!! This is a really nice small place with a cute place to sit, I'll definitely be back!

I ordered the grilled chicken Bahn Mi with a delivery service. It arrived perfectly prepared, and I could smell the delicious veggies and herbs as I unwrapped the sandwich. The bread was toasted, and the fresh vibrant herbs and prepared chicken was seasoned to perfection. Each and every bite is a little dance party on your taste buds. Worth every penny!!

This is one of my favorite places for lunch. I always take it to go but there is some seating inside and I usually find people sitting and talking which is always good. My go to order is the Pork Banh-mi no pate & add sriracha on everythang. Paired with a lovely Thai tea it's just the perfect combo. The flavor is bold and flavorful and love the fresh veggies and bbq sauce they use. I would get it time and time again. Unfortunately, I am always starving when I go here so I can never get a picture of my sandwich but trust me it's delicious!

Each Banhdicted location offers something unique. The Sunrise location has Pho & Banh Mi . You can customize a few options to be vegan . The Oro Valley location has delicious fresh juices & yummy boba. . Gotta support our local Vietnamese small businesses! Highly recommend. Service was great , chill vibes . The ambiance can use some work , not the cleanest or prettiest, no vibes but the food is good .

So freaking good omg. The bread is so soft yet crispy I don't know how they do it. Everything was perfect and oh so good. Nice lil sandwich store off the side of Lee Lees. Order food and they will call you up to retrieve your order. I came here on a Wednesday afternoon and it wasn't that busy. Service was very friendly and personable I appreciate that. The sandwich does get juicy and the paper is a lil thin so I had to ask for extra paper to wrap my sandwich to go - which they wrapped it up for me! So accommodating. Can't wait to come back!

In town for a visit and was pleasantly surprised to find this place for a quick bite to go. Ordered a bbq pork banh mi Sammie for the road and it was delicious... Bread was nice and fresh with a good crust, fresh bright veggies and flavorful bbq pork. Service was also top notch. Very friendly and inviting. I will definitely be coming back. Delicious.

First time trying them out and oh boy!! The food is so good. Service was fast and friendly. I had the grilled chicken bahn mi. It hit every note in my pallet. The ingredients were crunchy and fresh and the bread was superb. Meat was super juicy.

Being Asian myself, I was really hoping to like this place as I was hoping to find a legit banh mi here in Tucson. This was not it. It was missing some very important ingredients so flavor was just OK. The size of the sandwich was way small for the price they charged! Giving 2 stars for the friendly service.

Just had the BBQ pork banh mi. The pork was cooked well with a sweet marinade that I didn't expect. The pickled veggies added a nice crunch and tang, and spice from the jalapeño, balancing everything out beautifully. And the baguette? Toasted just right, with a satisfying crunch that held everything together without turning soggy. Honestly, if you're in the mood for a delicious sandwich, this is it. I'll definitely be back for another round! Sandwich was on the small side but plenty of meat for $7.99.

Do you have gluten free bread option/s?

Great question! Currently in terms of our delicious French rolls we do not have a gluten free version. But we do make a wrap made with all the delicious ingredients, but with rice paper. Unfortunately , a banh mi isn’t the same with out the roll.

Do you have banh mi cha pate?

Hi! Yes, we can make Banh mi cha pate.

Do you have non-dairy milk available for the milk teas/snow?

Hi! Yes we do. We have almond or soy milk.

My favorite Vietnamese food in Tucson in terms of the food itself…read more My favorites here: #16 Seasoned Julienned taro root with vermicelli noodles, pickled daikon and the typical vietnamese herbs etc and sweet soy sauce. It comes with fried tofu typically but they let you exchange the tofu with a couple of their delicious vietnamese crispy rice paper egg rolls that are stuffed with deliciously seasoned tofu (#14 on the menu) and that's my favorite way to order it. Mixing all of it together is heaven. This is by far my favorite here! I find that I generally really like taro- all parts of the plant! The root as served in this restaurant and in Thai desserts, the leaves in filipino laing and the stalk (elephant ear stalk) in vietnamese Canh Chua soup. #20 Fried rice noodles dish (ask for the crispy option!) . This one became quite expensive recently but when I had it in the past it was delicious. Definitely get the crispy version! #14: Those vietnamese crispy rice paper egg rolls that are stuffed with deliciously seasoned tofu are so good. They let you get them a la carte but the full plate comes with the sauce and herbs. I get them as part of #16 as described above so it has the sauce and herbs in that dish as well. I really love that they have a vegetarian and vegan menu and that they have the vegan sweet soy sauce available in place of fish sauce for that menu. The restaurant is attached to Lee Lee international supermarket which is an absolute must visit in my opinion for international food lovers and people who want to learn about world cuisines. It's a great place to find international ingredients that are not easily found elsewhere. My general rating system: 1 star: I would stay away 2 stars: Has some good things about it but I generally don't recommend. 3 stars: Pretty good. I wouldn't go out of my way to go back but a decent place 4 stars: Great place. I would go back. 5 stars: I highly recommend stopping whatever you are doing and making plans to try it out! Easily the most Vietnamese I've seen in a crowd at a restaurant in Tucson, which says a lot about the authenticity. I ordered the veggie pho and it absolutely hit the spot. My first experience was when my best friend door dashed me an order on my birthday when I was sick. Let me tell you the Phô hits the spot when you're not feeling well. I have stopped in two other times and both have been great experiences. The large Phô was more than enough to fill me up. (6'3", 250), added with a boba tea made my experience that much more enjoyable. Now, for those who are concerned about MSG, take the time to do a little research. It's about as rare as celiac disease.... Everyone claims to have it. Can it be an intolerance, sure as with anything, but our body uses sodium physiologically and the other part is an amino acid that naturally occurs as well. That amino acid is derived from vegetables. So I call BS, but whatever. Monosodium glutamate (MSG) and sodium chloride (NaCl, table salt) differ primarily in their chemical structure and sodium concentration. MSG is a salt of sodium and glutamic acid (an amino acid) containing ~12-14% sodium, while NaCl is a compound of sodium and chloride containing ~39-40% sodium. MSG provides umami taste, whereas NaCl provides saltiness.  Key Chemical Differences: Chemical Formula and Structure: NaCl: A simple ionic compound, with a cubic crystal structure. MSG: A salt of glutamic acid. (monosodium glutamate hydrate), which contains a sodium ion and a glutamate molecule. Sodium Content: MSG has roughly two-thirds less sodium by weight compared to table salt. Production/Source:NaCl: Obtained through mining or evaporation of seawater.MSG: Produced through the fermentation of starches, sugar beets, or sugarcane. Flavor Profile: NaCl provides a purely salty taste. MSG triggers the umami (savory) taste receptor, enhancing flavor without high sodium levels. Appearance: Both are white, crystalline, but MSG crystals are often longer/prismatic (like "mini snowflakes") while table salt is often granular or cubic.  Impact in Cooking:While both enhance flavor, they function differently. MSG adds savory depth (umami), while salt provides salinity. Due to lower sodium levels, MSG is sometimes used to reduce total sodium intake in food, providing savory flavor without excessive sodium.  So Newton Pho.... Keep serving up your yummy goodness. I appreciate it!!!

Here's the thing, I came in expecting the usual Chinese food affair, but I left genuinely surprised and impressed. This restaurants specializes in Southern Chinese food, which is different from other regions. I am so happy this restaurant and its chains helps the cuisine gain exposure and adds depth to Chinese food in general. Even better, the menu is laid out in a way that it is easy to understand: gluten-free options, allergies, and spice level. The service was great.
