Always constantly good! The pho chay is inherently vegan. Add tofu. Delic. It's made so quickly. The banh mi can also be vegan with peanut sauce instead of the fish already. read more

We were pleasantly surprised to find this authentic Vietnamese restaurant in Tucson. Their crepe had nice crunch with ample amount of meat and bean sprouts inside. One was perfect to share as an appetizer. Their pho had nice broth although the noddle were slightly overcooked. The medium was perfect size for me but if you're very hungry, go for the large. The rice plate was also delicious and it came with small bowl of soup. It wasn't very crowded for Thursday dinner, and the service was excellent. Highly recommend! read more

The food was 10/10 super peaceful and nice looking spot. I had been craving Pho for a while and struggled to find a place that tasted authentic. I got to the bottom of the bowl and didn't want to stop eating even though I was extremely full. Service was also great. read more

What is with a very obnoxious woman in that restaurant? I think she might be related to the owners. I came here over a year ago and she was there speaking loudly in the kitchen then she locked herself in the bathroom for about 30 minutes. Today I stopped in for a quick meal before a movie and she is still there. She was speaking on the phone while on speaker, sitting at one of the tables where the customers are trying to enjoy their meals. They have a great menu and I loved everything I ordered. My server was polite and friendly but I don't know if I will go back. read more

Solid Vietnamese food. It's one of our regular spots. They might have had change in management maybe a year ago.

Classic Vietnamese family owned and operated restaurant--they have a wide selection of authentic Vietnamese dishes, including my favorite: bun bo hue! I visited with some family as a birthday dinner, and it was exactly what I expected: homey, delicious, and familiar. That's all I could really ask for when looking for a good Vietnamese restaurant. I ordered (and loved) the bun bo hue and found myself drinking the broth straight from the bowl! I'll have to come back to try their banh xeo (savory crepe) and pho! read more

I was not a big fan of the food here. The shrimp spring rolls were pretty good, and the peanut sauce was delicious. The #8 was mostly noodles and only had 3 shrimp and very little pork. The lemongrass beef bun was made with shaved steak from the grocery store, no flavor and overcooked. The only winner here was the pho with rare steak. Service was ok. I'd go back for the spring rolls and pho but avoid the other items. read more

Best pho broth in town. Just the right amount of spice. Highly recommend this establishment for all sorts of Vietnamese comfort dishes.

Best Vietnamese food in Tucson by far. Typical small family run business with prompt service. I would recommend this over Miss Saigon any day of the week. Highlights include banh bao, bun Bo hue, and their pho. read more

But their clean better then other pho place I go to. I highly recommended this place to go. read more

I normally give mom and pop shops two tries before leaving a review, but I will not be wasting money here. Staff wasnt attentive and rude, besides the younger gal that was working, she was sub part at best. We ordered the deluxe medium pho, and the deluxe rice platter , no clue what it's called as well as spring rolls and egg rolls. Our spring rolls were tiny compared to other places I'm used to, on top of extremely watery peanut dipping sauce. Our egg rolls came with sweet chili sauce which isn't the norm for most authentic places, and our spring rolls were pathetic looking, mangled and had barely any meat. Definitely didn't look like what others got in these yelp pictures. Also tasted old. My sons deluxe pho he enjoyed at first , broth was okay, had a decent amount of meat but not for $15. The noodles tasted very stale and old , and broken up into small pieces and clumped. We've had enough pho in our lives to know that's not what fresher vendor bought noodles are supposed to look or taste like. Then to top it all off he found hair in his food , but didn't tell me. Because I was already upset that there was hair and egg shells in my one fried egg. I get egg shells happen , but two hairs in two main dishes. Come on. My rice platter , the nước chấm was a bit spicy to my surprise but I did enjoy that. The shrimp paste thing was maybe freezer burned because it had a bad taste to it and they only gave you have a piece, which in this case I guess was a good thing. The pork chop I will say was delicious, although I wish it had more meat and less fat and gristle. We already talked about the egg... And the rice didn't taste starchy so atleast they clean their rice. Cost me $50 or so before tip, and honestly it was the first establishment where I didn't want to tip but still did. I am surprised by all the great reviews , maybe people in Tucson don't know what good Viet food actually tastes like... read more

Very yummy! Many food places are expensive these days so I am happy when I get something of quality and taste good!

Pho Nagn Tucson It's conveniently located in the strip mall with plenty of parking. This restaurant still has that old time mom and pop Asian family feel it's a definite classic type vibe with Auntie up front taking orders and the rest of the family in the back cooking and putting to go orders together. I always like to support a locally owned business. It's also about expectations, everyone is under staffed, so I always appreciate the service staff who are working. Having said that the service was fast and efficient . It's also about being realistic about the food. This is not a mall based chain restaurant or a high end bistro somewhere. The food was well prepared hot and delicious. This is a Vietnamese restaurant. So there's lots of variety in the menu. I have the build your own Pho each time I have gone. I also have tried the pork fried egg rolls. I usually go for a late lunch. I talked to the owner and asked her how they made their soup and she said they boiled bones and added their own spices which is the traditional way to do things, I think they have a good soup base, all soup comes with sprouts and fresh Thai basil, I usually add bok choy, brisket and steak. They have plenty of other Vietnamese dishes too. I have enjoyed their pork vermicelli which is a cool salad type dish which is nice on a hot day, Pho Nagn 'is a classical mom and pop Vietnamese restaurant. If you enjoy Vietnamese food it's worth a visit. read more

I was hungry after my appointment at TMC and found this restaurant nearby and so glad I did! I tried Bun Gao Xao Chay/ Vegetarian Stir Fry Noodles for the first time and it was really yummy! Loved this place! My husband loves pho and I prefer less or no broth. This place is perfect for us. He ordered the Pho Doc Biet and said it's the best pho he's ever eaten. I ordered the Vermicelli Noodle Bowl with Lemongrass Beef - it was amazing - so light and full of flavor. The egg rolls were definitely made in house and cooked to perfection. This is a locally owned family run restaurant. Their dedication to good food is apparent from the first bite. Our food came out incredibly fast and the staff was so pleasant. The restaurant is casual and clean. If you want great food and quick - give this place a shot! read more

Simply way too expensive!! Food OK (we have had better). But. $$$$$$. Sorry Tucson has better options

My fiance and I are newly exploring Tucson, and coming from Orange County, the mecca of Vietnamese food, we really wanted to check out the pho here. He got the Deluxe Pho and I got the Banh Xeo (Vietnamese Savory Crepe). The pho broth is slightly different, I can't seem to put a finger on what it is, but it definitely hit the spot. It was warm and comforting, and the veggie accoutrements were fresh and clean. The Banh Xeo came out sooo crispy, but the batter itself was a little bland. But it kind of works with the delicious fish sauce. Friendly staff and spacious shop too! There are so many other things on the menu that I want to check out. read more

Okay so I love pho and my husband and I are regulars here. We know that the food is yummy but the service is usually just okay. The past 3 times we have been, the service has just flat out SUCKED. The young guy that works the register and serves the food just simply hates working here. He never refills water, doesn't bring extra napkins, even when asked for at the time of ordering and doesn't care to see if you are happy with your food. Our food order wasn't correct, we both order a pho tai add tofu and an order of egg rolls. Our pho tai had no tofu and I had to ask about the egg rolls. We received no extra napkins even when I asked a secind time for them. We love to support local mom and pop shops but the lackluster service makes it difficult to want to come back. It should be stated that they were not super busy with in store customers. read more

Visited Pho Ngan again this week. How nice to have a yummy Asian place open on Monday! When entering the restaurant, the deliciously intense fragrance of pho assails the nose; not ordering the pho would be insane. The diner is invited to customize the ingredients. This time I had beef broth, brisket, bok choy, with bean sprouts, jalapeños, and cilantro. It was savory and slightly spicy and thoroughly enjoyable. My friend had a vegetarian stir fry with noodles that she enjoyed. We also chose the mini crispy shrimp crepes to share and they were delightful! Happily, we both took home to-go containers with leftovers for the next day. read more

This place is still as great as when I came here for the first time a few years ago. Dishes that I've tried include the Banh Xeo (Vietnamese savory crepes with shrimp, pork belly, veggies, fish sauce), Pho, Vermicelli dishes, and Banh Mi. As it is with other places, it can be a little slower when it's busy but overall not too bad. I've also done takeout here and the packaging is solid, even for soups! Pretty spacious inside with music and decor. read more

I really adoreeee this restaurant! It is a gem Possible the best pho restaurant in Tucson. All of the dishes that I have tried so far have been so flavorful and the ingredients are always so fresh. The service is mid, as to be expected with any authentic Asian restaurants :) (not throwing hate, I'm Asian). It's a pretty small restaurant with very low key decor inside, but I cannot EMPHASIZE enough that the flavors are what's worth going back for! read more

I have loved this restaurant for years but when I ordered tonight I was so disappointed! I ordered my regular order and it was half the size...due to price of food I can understand that and would be ok with it. But what happened??? No flavor at all in broth for my pho! That was the best part of the pho! Seemed to be all water and oil with some clove, noodles were all broken very little meat. We added seasoning and bouillon to get any flavor. I do not know if it was an off night or change in ownership. read more

My daughter and I tried Pho Ngan for the first time. I really appreciated having full size condiments. Every other pho place since Covid gives u a small side of the Hoisin/Sriracha and I always have to ask for extra at each visit. So having it there was awesome! The build your own Pho was perfect. They give u a lot of onions which is a plus and enough limes! Again the other places give you a piece per bowl it seems. The taste of the broth i have to say was not as flavorful as i would like unfortunately but it still tasted okay. There was enough tables which was nice and we had the option to sit where we wanted. My daughter described it as a place we'd eat at again if we are nearby but not a place she can't wait to go back to. Service was quick and food was brought out quickly but the waiter only checked on us once at the very end of our meal. read more

I want to give an excellent review because I enjoyed eating the viet crepe with shrimp, pork and mung beans. It was fantastic to me as all the vegetables were very fresh (mint leaves, Thai basil, lettuce wrap). Authentic spices and the crepe itself was crispy, golden brown. The atmosphere was modest but very clean. Service was prompt and attentive. The spring role as likewise fresh and tasty. Later through out the day, I fondly recalled dining there and felt content. read more

Pho Ngan - Large 1) Traditional Pho - Vietnamese Near Me - Tucson, Arizona

Came here for some soup, but ended up with a Vietnamese salad. The ingredients are fresh and yummy. Just not enough. Seems there's skimping on the vegetables and all that to say the prices went up considerably $16. I guess I was hoping for a few more ingredients not just a bowl of noodles. So the nicest recommendation I can give is at least it was fresh. Additionally I will add that the floor was pretty dirty a little bit of tweaking, and this place could definitely bump up a notch or two. read more

First tried this restaurant on November 13th for lunch & the second time on December 3rd. This was the first time I had the crepes. It was so good & filling. My husband and daughter had the banh mis and liked them. This a locally ran restaurant, which I try to remember when I eat there. This place is busy with diners & take-outs alike. Don't be surprised if your wait is longer both to order and get your food. My second visit in December, it seemed all the tables needed to be cleaned from the lunch crowd. There was only one person taking orders and at the counter and one person bussing. I ordered the banh mi this time & it was just okay. Still a pretty good Vietnamese restaurant for the area & has a large following. read more

I have tried a few of the Pho places in town and they are pretty good. Not as good as a place we had outside Los Angeles. But I was just driving by and decided to check them out. They have great Yelp rating so was hopeful but skeptical. I got the Pho Dac Biet (large) and the Goi Cuon. The soup is the BEST Pho I've ever had. The broth had so much flavor. I can't praise it enough. The Spring Rolls were tasty and fresh. The skin was a bit tough, but still enjoyable. I'll be going back. Yum. read more

I would like to preface this review by saying that Pho is absolutely... My Cup of Tea! LOL I am Asian from Asia and lived in SF The Bay Area for over 20 years, which is the heart of Pho outside of Vietnam. I know my Pho and my Friends of Tucson.... These are the droids you are looking for (Star Wars Fans). Pho Ngan has The Best Pho in Tucson Arizona, and quite possibly in ALL of Arizona - Mike Drop!! And honestly, their Pho is better than 95% or more, of the Pho in The Bay Area - seriously. They deserve MORE than 5 Stars!! The broth is tangy, zesty and has a great blend of the classic Pho broth spices one would and should expect from tasty Pho broth. Many Pho restaurants try to increase the taste of their Pho broth with salts and Buddha forbid - MSG!! But NOT Pho Ngan!! These guys do it the right way, and DO NOT use any of that stuff! From there, the meat is good quality and tastes great in the Pho. The noodles are cooked to perfection, which equates to an al dente texture which is again, exactly what they should be. The veggies such as the cilantro, jalapeños, sprouts and most importantly - The Basil and lime - are all perfectly fresh time and time again. I cannot say the same for ANY Bay Area Pho. Everything at Pho Ngan is or excels the par for the course; No - it is much much better than par and for all of the above reasons.... Pho Ngan is to be super highly recommended. Our town of Tucson is very lucky to have Pho Ngan and I recommend that everyone eat there all the time, because it is just that great! Bon Appetite and Cheers my Friends!! read more

The food was excellent and generously portioned. The service left a lot to be desired; there's a young kid up front who at the time seemed to wish to be anywhere else. Anyway, I'm glad I got my food to go, I wouldn't have wanted to experience any more of that guy than absolutely necessary. read more
