When I arrived, the restaurant was completely empty, which made that experience frustrating. Once we ordered in person, the food came out very quickly about six minutes which was a plus. The pho portions were generous, and one large bowl could easily be enough for two people. However, my husband ordered the chicken lo mein and didn't like it, which was disappointing. Between the phone experience and that dish missing the mark, it took away from what could have been a better visit. Best birthday dinner ever! Miss Saigon was very busy for a Thursday evening. We were seated promptly and given glasses of water. We ordered #43 pork & eggrolls vermicelli (bun) & 49 curry catfish bun. I was in complete heaven with the fried succulent catfish. The catfish was fried perfectly with curry & fish sauce on the side. $22 + $5 for a small bowl of pho tai and a fresh young coconut? I was deliriously starved when I walked in and I hadn't eaten in a long time. And really, when it's 1000 degrees out you should be paying me to eat a steaming bowl of soup. This was more than ever paid for pho anywhere and in any big city i.e. Los Angeles, Seattle. The soup itself was ok, a little less flavorful than I've had in other Little Saigon areas.The service was ok. I have been coming to Miss Saigon for two years now and love it every time! The restaurant is small, but there is plenty of seating inside. We are always seated right away and the service is always very polite. I always start with the #2 Gui Cuon/Spring Rolls. I ordered them without the pork and they always accommodate. The peanut sauce that comes with it is incredible. I have gotten the seafood pho plenty of times and my dad also loves the Miss Saigon Fried Rice. Most recently I tried the #52 Com Bo Nuong/Grilled Beef and enjoyed every bite! The portions are very generous, as I always get at least two meals out of my order. There is still so much I would love to try at Miss Saigon. I definitely recommend giving Miss Saigon a try if you are in Tucson, as there are 3 locations, so you can't miss it! read more

We frequent the Craycroft location but there are a couple other locations around town (including the new downtown location, which looks "fancier" but is supposed to still have the same menu.) I'm always amazed at how quick and friendly the servers are at the Craycroft location! The pho is delicious- perfect for a cold day, when you're feeling under the weather, and any other time! Trying this place out for the first time in Tucson and i have to say i was not impressed: 1. pho: pho broth was mediocre, too sweet for authentic viet pho broth. I order the one with the combo of both meatball and beef slices (#23) and there was barely any meatball in my pho. Noodle was overcooked. They are also stingy with providing the side condiments (bean sprouts) and sauces. 2. Appetizer combo with spring rolls: veggies in the wrap was not fresh. Meat slices in the appetizer tasted mediocre without much seasoning 3. Pricing: overpriced for the quality I did live in orange county for several years and grew up in Asia. I also have close friend's mom who made me authentic viet food from scratch so yes my taste bud is very spoiled. Since my last review, Miss Saigon has become one of my favorite Vietnamese restaurants in Tucson. I've sampled most pho places on the eastside, and Miss Saigon is the best. I typically do takeout, and calling in my order is easy. My order is always correct and nicely packaged. In terms of food, Miss Saigon's dishes are consistently delicious. The large pho portions are generous and have a decent amount of meat. The pho broth makes Miss Saigon stand out; the broth is incredibly flavorful and savory. All of the Miss Saigon locations around Tucson have a lot of hype for being the best Vietnamese cuisine around. This is my first time getting there, and I am pretty impressed with what they served. We were seated quickly and the waiters all seemed responsive and friendly. I ordered the catfish with coconut curry sauce, thinking it would be a good opportunity to try a classic Vietnamese dish and I'm really glad I did. The fish was fried and loaded with flavor, but still hit the fresh notes to keep it feeling relatively light. It paired beautifully with the coconut curry sauce. I ordered beef pho and eagerly anticipated that distinct and delectable pho flavor that I enjoy so much. I ordered the rare beef and well-done brisket. Pho has a moderately spicy kick, but I would have ordered extra spicy if there had been a place to indicate that on the Door Dash online order form. My meal was a total disappointment. Bland, bland, bland. The broth was not rich with beefiness. It lacked seasoning, and had no spice at all, yet was slightly oily. Fat adds flavor, but grease does not. The expected underlying flavors of ginger, cinnamon, star anise, and fish sauce were nonexistent. Generally pho noodles and bean sprouts are not seasoned, so they need the savory richness of the broth itself. A tear packet of sriracha and one of hoisin and two slices of jalapeño were provided, so I added those and some flaky sea salt. But the cup of blah broth was very large and needed more. The "rare" beef was very thin slices of beige precooked meat; no pink in sight. The beef totally lacked seasoning as well. The brisket was missing entirely from the dish. I had heard such good things about Miss Saigon, so don't know if the real chef didn't show up or if this is a typical meal. My one other experience with this restaurant was subpar as well, but I take responsibility for that since I should have realized that egg rolls and shrimp tempura should really be eaten immediately out of the fryer. read more

We tried the Chicken and Veggie with Fried Tofu Pho's and both soups we're delicious. The vegetable garnish for the soup was fresh and crisp and the chicken broth in the soups were sweet and savory. We also had the Miss Saigon eggrolls and Vietnamese Spring rolls. The Miss Saigon eggrolls with the lettuce, noodles and fish sauce were out of this world (although they were fried).
