Wow. New favorite sandwich shop! The Lemongrass Beef sub was incredible. The beef was tender and full of bright flavor, and the mix of fresh herbs, crunchy veggies, and a little jalapeño heat made every bite pop. My husband and I split the sandwich and we both loved it. I also ordered the Honeydew Milk Tea with egg custard and boba. The tea and custard were perfect and refreshing. The boba was still good, but the texture felt like it had been sitting for a bit. We visited about an hour before their 3pm closing time on Monday, and the other days of the week have later closing times, so that could be why. I enjoy Capriottis, Firehouse, and Baggins, but Banhdicted is on a whole different level. The drinks are wonderful too. Being right next to Lee Lees makes it an easy stop, and it is close to the Tesla supercharger which is great for grabbing food to go. Customer service was friendly. Service was fast. They have an app for earning rewards. Seating is cozy inside with a couple of spots outside. It was comfortable for the two of us and not busy on a Monday afternoon. I could go 'Bahn and on' about how awesome this place is! I've known of Banhdicted for a long time and finally made it in: what an absolute delight! I got the BBQ Pork Banh Mi and my fiancee got the Lemongrass Beef Bahn Mi. Both sandwiches were fantastic: the bread is outstanding - soft yet a perfect crusty crunch - the meats were perfectly flavored and so tender, then wrap it up with the perfect flavor combinations of the fresh veggies & cilantro. The seat area is small & quaint, more of a takeout restaurant than a place you'd hang out. But if you choose to there are a few tables and it's a calm atmosphere. Banhdicted is an easy five stars! Their sandwiches are fantastic, especially the pork banh mi, which became one of my favorite lunch stops when I worked near Orange Grove. The staff is incredibly friendly and even got to the point of remembering me and my usual order, which was always a nice touch. It's a cute, unique little shop with seriously good food. Was looking on Yelp for a quick place to grab dinner on the way home and decided to try Banhdicted -- so glad I did! I ordered through the Grubhub app for pickup, and the whole experience was smooth from start to finish. When I arrived, the staff member was super friendly and let me know he was just finishing up the sandwiches. He also mentioned that if I plan on coming back (which I probably will!), I should download their app. He even gave me a helpful tip: if you have a long drive home, you can ask for the vegetables and sauce on the side so everything stays fresh. Really appreciated that advice. Got home and the sandwiches were delicious -- super fresh and really flavorful. After eating so much Southwestern, Sonoran, and New Mexican food, I was craving something familiar from home. I came across this bánh mì spot in an Asian plaza, and saw that Banhdicted is Vietnamese-owned, so I figured it would be a safe bet. The service was friendly, but the menu felt very Americanized. We ordered the AZ Special (đặc biệt), Chicken (gà), and BBQ Pork (thịt nướng). Since we ordered to-go, we asked for the pickled veggies and accoutrements on the side so the bánh mì wouldn't get soggy. They currently don't sell their Lemongrass Beef (bò nướng) due to rising costs. While waiting for our sandwiches, we went next door to the supermarket. I personally wanted softer bread since I'm still healing from wisdom teeth removal, but I can see why my siblings didn't enjoy it. The bread was soft, but it didn't have the right texture or consistency of a traditional Vietnamese bánh mì. There was also no pâté or mayo spread, which is my favorite part of a bánh mì. Even the pickled daikon and carrot (đồ chua) weren't cut quite right. They were a bit chunky, and some of the carrots were round. I had the AZ Special (đặc biệt), and the portion of meat felt very small. It only came with one type of cold cut, which was disappointing. The BBQ pork (thịt nướng) also lacked flavor overall. Taylor and Lexi took care of my order and made it fresh in front of me. They were so kind and amiable answering all my questions, I really appreciated how they treated me!!! I ordered the bbq pork banh mi sandwich and biting into it I was expecting the bread to be hard! It was immediately so soft and crispy and honestly, I think the bread was just my favorite thing aside from the fresh vegetables! I really wanted to get a lemongrass beef sandwich, but they no longer have that on the menu. I guess I'll have to make my own. This is one of my favorite places for lunch. I always take it to go but there is some seating inside and I usually find people sitting and talking which is always good. My go to order is the Pork Banh-mi no pate & add sriracha on everythang. Paired with a lovely Thai tea it's just the perfect combo.
