Rodrigo was great! He's the owner and has been in Tucson for quite a while! All the desserts are made by him due to his extensive background in cooking Italian cuisine in various well known places around town such as Tavolino! I had a doctors apointmenr nearby and have always wanted to try it, so Wednesday was the day! I got the breakfast special that comes with a half burrito and a coffee or soda. I got the Black coffee which was strong and delicious. The burrito was the perfect size and full of bacon, egg, potato and cheese. The salsa it came with was the perfect accompaniment!! Grabbed a large caramel macchiato hot and a breakfast burrito with chorizo at this small drive-thru. We were surprised at the large variety of menu items and some more creative that the larger brick and mortar. Those French toast options like brown sugar pecan or the Nutella are enough to have us find our way back across town to try soon! The burrito was really substantial and came with a couple salsa cups. We got home and shared the burrito and everything was cooked perfect, fluffy eggs, real baked potatoes that were griddled to crisp and house made chorizo that had a wonderful flavor and no hard bits. Don't think the place is closed. I drove up while it wasn't busy. I guessed I just missed the rush. The place is modest, but they make excellent breakfast burritos. I would guess the rest of the menu is very good too. I heard they make their own chorizo and the man at the counter confirmed. I don't often eat chorizo, but this was better than what I'm normally used to. The burrito was a ~$10 burrito, but the portions were large. The place is small and quaint. This place is such a whole in the wall. It's also super easy to pass by unless you know what you are looking for. Their name presents itself as a traditional coffee and breakfast stop but what is surprising is that they also have an expansive and generous lunch and dinner menu with both a Mexican and Italian flair. I've been to this place twice while my boyfriend has come 5+ times and always comes back. The service is super friendly and the owner is flexible to make off menu drink combinations. This place used to be found at the corner of oracle and orange grove (or farmers markets), but now they have their own building! My family's gotten food from here quite a few times, and we're always impressed at how much they can do in a little food truck. The panini is pretty good and tastes fresh, but the shrimp pasta is definitely the best thing we've tried from here so far.
