I placed a pick up order to go, got a pho chay which I confirmed with the lady on the phone was vegetarian and a chicken bahn mi without the pate which I also confirmed several times on the phone that it would have no pate. I was told to come in 30 minutes and my order was not ready and the lady at the counter did not know I had even ordered. I reconfirmed my order and paid when I arrived. I ended up getting pate in my bahn mi and instead of a vegetarian pho received one with beef broth and steak which I cannot eat. Now keep in mind each cup is about half an inch tall and wide and only half full. Not only do they charge for chili oil, not only is it 50 cents for a tiny portion, the server also refused to give me any more than five cups because the restaurant was running low. Not running out but just running low. The restaurant had no customers other than my party when we arrived at peak lunch rush so what customers was she saving the chili oil for? It just seems bad business to deny a customer something they're already paying for. The service was also pretty terrible especially since they weren't busy. The only water refill I ever received was when it came time to pay, the server never came to check on us once our entire visit, and also didn't appear to enjoy her job whatsoever. All around the vibe I get from this restaurant is that they're trying to cut corners and make as much money as possible. Small portions, overpriced menu, charging for chili oil, and only willing to hire one staff member for the entire front end of the building led this to be an incredibly disappointing experience. read more

I've been looking for a go-to pho spot in Tucson, and I think I just found my place! The extensive menu has every good Vietnamese dish you could crave, including pho dac biet, spring rolls, and bun bo hue. The pho comes in two sizes, medium or large. The medium is the perfect amount, but I think I could definitely down a large bowl with how good their pho is! The noodles are perfectly chewy and the dac biet has all the best cuts of meat, including my favorites: tendon and tripe! The meat for the soup quality has gone way down. It's now frozen and if you ask for more when you pay extra prepare to be let down. The waitress is awesome but the owner and cook used to be. I had ordered a beer, which he did not bring out until about ten minutes after bringing out the pho. We waited over hour before he checked on us again. He brought us soup containers to go but not the check. I flagged him down to ask for the check, and he told us to pay up front. We did not know we were supposed to pay up front, as we saw him bring a bill to the tables around us. It had been busy when we first got there, but after we received our pho it was pretty slow. Best pho I've found in Tucson, though their drinks could be a little better. They need to steal the Thai Iced Tea recipe from Karunas and the Taro Milk Tea recipe from Ni Hao. I've tried a few other things on the menu and they're good too, but the Pho Tai is my favorite. read more
