Server was great, food was very tasty! Retaurant was very clean! We were the first ones in here today. It was very nice too because she even gave me some cheesecake for my birthday celebration!

I must go too for Chinese in Tucson. Amazing service, cleanliness, portions and delicious food. They also offer authentic Chinese menu as well. Be sure to ask for Sue as your server she is 5 star on her own although I feel you cant go wrong with any of the staff. Be sure to try the lettuce wrap! But pack and appetite as portions are large. I will be back soon.

I actually felt guilty having lunch at Ba Dar. I have posted so many glowing reviews of my favorite Chinese restaurant; but my dining partner wanted to try Ba Dar, so we went. Anwas a very nice experience. The dining room is lovely. Planters are filled with colorful plants and flowers, and floral tablecloths grace each table. We were warmly greeted by the hostess. She brought icy water right away with menus. We were grateful; August in Tucson, you know. We were hungry and lots of things looked good, but we decided on a lunch special because it included hot and sour soup, which we specifically use as our marker for assessing deliciousness at Chinese restaurants. The soup was good. We followed with Kung Pao Chicken, fried rice, and an egg roll. Portions were generous but we were able to finish our meals, lol.

This was a GEM!! Some of the best Chinese food I've ever had. Went for lunch & I like how simple the menu was along with extremely great prices! 2 APPS-- BBQ Ribs (4) & Shrimp (8). The hot mustard was delish. Next, the combos come w/rice, egg roll, egg drop soup. You can upgrade to better suit your tastes by .50 tp a $1.00. Choosing pork fried rice, pork egg roll, or wonton soup. Even get fried wonton noodles for the soup. We had house special Egg Foo Yong & Mongolian Beef. WOW!! 1-Tsing Tao Beer & D. Coke. Total with tip $67. Service was EXCEPTIONAL!! You must try this place!!

Had a solid Chinese dinner meal here! Don't let the strange name or location fool you! As soon as we walked in, we were greeted by a friendly waitress and offered to sit in any booth (my favorite) we wanted. The restaurant is a little messy with cardboard supply boxes in the dining area, but other than that, tables and floors were clean. We ordered their fried rice, kung pao chicken, and won ton soup. Everything was served fresh, hot, and delicious! The waitstaff was very friendly and attentive. We will definitely come back!

Has this delivered to me. Tastes pretty good. Has a dry curry taste. Not very spicy to me.

Our first trip Ba-dar Chinese restaurant. Walking in was a little odd. It seemed as though we walked into the kitchen. We were promptly seated in a cozy dining room and a quite lovely Asian waitress took our drink and appetizer order. We started with the fried gyoza and a steamed dumplings of the chicken variety. Perfectly fried and steamed with flavorful fillings. The dipping sauce was a nice mix of soy and fish oil. For entrees we ordered the Mongolian chicken with pork fried rice and sesame chicken with pork fried rice. Bbq fried rice, perfectly cooked and flavorful pork nicely fried. The Mongolian chicken was full of nice white strips of chicken, loads of white onions with crispy rice vermicelli and a savory sauce. The sesame chicken, lightly fried pieces of white meat chicken with a flavor of sweet orange. Everything came out super fast and was hot and delicious. It was a ton of food at a very reasonable price for today's standards. A++ Happy eating all. Over all a great little restaurant on the east side of

I was waiting on my vehicle being worked in, went out to stretch my legs, when to my surprise I smelled a familiar spice combination I wasn't expecting so far from home. I followed my nose to this cozy spot where the staff were incredibly friendly even as more people poured in for the dinner rush I ordered a crispy duck and a lychee ice tea Both delicious I will be a repeat customer when I'm in the area

Food was quick, hot and a huge selection. Hubby got the chicken king pao. Scoot 6/10. I had chicken egg foo young. It was fluffy not flat and very fresh. Best service! The staff were friendly, attentive and made you feel like a guest in their home. Bathrooms very clean. Parking tight, but will be back!!!!!!!

We had Google make us a reservation, but the restaurant wasn't terribly busy when we got there. Our server was friendly and checked back in with us frequently. The restaurant has several booths as well as tables and was comfortable. I really liked my food... Chicken with snow peas. We got the upgrade to include soup, an egg roll, two crab Rangoon, and upgraded rice. My husband wasn't wowed by his seafood dish. The squid was rubbery, the crab was imitation, the scallops kind of mushy, but the shrimp were good. The veggies were fresh and I thought the sauce was very good. The other person had teriyaki chicken and it was served on a bed of cabbage. The portions were large and we all went home with leftovers.

Cantonese Chow Mein, vegetarian with added shrimp.

Tasty, food, fast and friendly service, generous serving size, and reasonable prices. We highly recommend Ba-Dar. The only disappointment was that there was way too much sauce on the Cantonese-style chow mein. The most important thing this dish is crispy noodles. The noodles arrived crispy, but since they were drowning in way too much sauce, they soon became soggy. Next time I will ask for less sauce, or sauce on the side.

Promptly seated, drinks brought out, order taken and food delivered fast, hot and correct. The background music was some chinese music tv station playing modern easy listening tunes and, along with the comfortable chairs and solid table made for a relaxing environment. The food? meh. You can see our order in the latest photo and how expensive it was. the Lo Mein was mostly tasteless and certainly lacking in thast "lo mein flavor." Although the meat was tender, the sauce was just a sticky brown sauce. Surprisingly, the Spicy Pickle Tofu was essentially the same sticky brown sauce as the Lo Mein but with some fried tofu in it and without the noodles but nothing otherwise remarkable. You can tell by looking at my earlier picture attached. The old picture shows a bright and colorful plate. The dish today was a dark brown (you could hardly see the tofu from the beef) as everything was just dark. Eggplant seemed to have a similar brown sauce as well but the eggplant was otherwise tasteless. Nothing popped. Chicken bites were bland and not at all crunchy. Just fried to soft texture but no real flavor. According to our server, the menu was just recently updated about a month ago. We noticed because one of our favorites was the Fried Taro Pie which is now gone from the menu and the server said yes, that's right. Maybe this place has a new owner or chef, but it's no longer in my top asian restaurants for Tucson.

Service was attentive and everyone inside was incredibly kind and respectful. Ordered Crab Rangoons and Beef Chow Fun, a couple of staples of mine trying new Chinese restaurants. Rangoons were perfectly crispy, while the chow fun had a delicious wok hei flavor. The noodles and beef were tender and the dish had plenty of onions/green onions/etc. The only thing I didn't care for - and this is a personal preference - is that the chow fun did have a little more star anise/five spice flavor than I care for. Otherwise, the food was hot, fresh, and delicious! Definitely looking forward to returning for a dine in visit to try out the full, very authentic looking menu.
