Stumbled on this amazing little place. Was in the area looking for some dinner. We googled good restaurants nearby and this came up being highly rated and I completely understand why. As soon as we walk through the door, we were greeted by two or three of the staff seated promptly. It took us a while to go through the menu because there are so many choices that sound excellent my wife ordered the Mongolian beef. I had the princess chicken all meat was very tender and delicious. We had the family dinner so we got the hot and sour soup along with delicious eggrolls and really excellent fried shrimp. Items were very reasonably priced upon leaving almost every staff member greeted us and told us thank you for coming. We told him we will be back! Great place. read more

This is one of the best Chinese restaurants in town. We had a family meal of Princess Chicken and Twice Cooked pork. It come with soup, fried shrimp and egg rolls as an appetizer. Have only ever ordered to-go - the food is very good! They add tofu to any order for me upon request and the menu doesn't show that, it's a great place for vegetarians. It can be hard to get ahold of them on the phone - I believe they only have one line so if they're taking another call it, your call will not go through. Yikes. This is Americanized Chinese food. It's lacking in essential Chinese flavours. It was rather off putting. I had their version of Kung Pao Chicken. If you want reasonably priced Chinese food and decent flavours, Panda Express would be several notches better than this establishment. read more

i had a terrible experience at bamboo terrace. i ordered a sweet and sour pork with pork fried rice for one to go. i paid over $20.00. the pork was hard and smelled funny hardly any sauce at all, the rice was basically white rice with soy sauce, it tasted terrible. not even the dog would eat it. waste of money i will not e back read more

She claimed her meal satisfactory although all I could see was a couple of chunks of beef and LOTS of bamboo shoots. Lunch at Bamboo Terrace today with my wife & another couple. I had Lunch Special "H"; Princess Chicken, Fried Won Ton & Rice. It was marked as "hot'. When the lunch was presented at our table I first thought it was an art piece. The plate was perfectly prepared visually. The actual food was art for my mouth! The taste was better than expected. The heat in the dish was not uncomfortable. The amount of food impressed me too. The flavors of China came through. Service was good as staff were around to check on us. The price for both of us was $25 -- a nice change for lunch costs. We will be back to try other tastes at Bamboo Terrace. read more

This is the worst Chinese food I have ever eaten ...first time eating there and it will be our last..hubby ordered pineapple chicken and surprise...2 small pieces of pineapple and 6 hard as rocks pieces of chicken..I ordered Chow mein and rice with chicken..and I had to literally look for pieces of chicken..the whole dinner was mainly rice and it was expensive..$37 WTH...I would not recommend this place at all... They left out the sweat and sour sauce, one of the dinners was put in a to go container that had a hole in it. Then put in a plastic bag. Much of it leaked out. There response was my cooks were swamped. I said no that was being lazy. Was asked to leave. My wife called and the manager said I was rude and hung up on her. I was not rude, I did get upset when he dismissed my concerns and told him it doesn't matter how swamped they were, it only takes a couple minutes at most to put the meal in a good container. So I've been coming to this place off and on for over 30 years. My family used to come here for dinner lots of times when I was growing up. The food was great and staff was amazing until around 10 years ago. I'm not sure what changed but the staff is incredibly lacking. They have tons of people working there but none that provide customer service if that makes sense. You get better service from the buss boys than the front desk or servers. The food here is still decent. But you add on the extremely long wait time to get your food (and this is when it's not busy) and the fact that your drinks don't get refilled promptly is a real let down. I asked the staff they said the original owners have retired. So this may be the issue. Whoever is running it now. Needs to go back to how they used to be. But they probably won't, so sadly I'd rather drive out of my way and go somewhere else than to receive poor customer service and have to wait 1 hour or more for food. This place used to be a Tucson gem to bad they lost the luster. read more

I was excited to get dinner here tonight since it had been awhile since we'd gotten take out from here. I'm guessing the last time we can it had different owners or cooks. Where to start..... This restaurant needs Gorden Ramsey to come rescue it for starters. My boyfriend said the beef and broccoli with white rice was good but he has had better. My toddler liked the broccoli. The Orange Chicken.....which I used to absolutely love from here was horrible. No flavor whatsoever. It was labeled as spicy but, there was none at all. Bland bland bland. The chicken was cut up into decent sized pieces but, there was little to no sauce and it was a little dry. My boyfriend tried the orange chicken and was like what the hell is this? He commented on the no flavor. The walnut shrimp which is another favorite of mine. Or should I say "was". The shrimp still had their black veins aka digestive tract. I thought maybe they missed one or two but, all of them had it. The walnuts tasted good. As well as the sauce. The batter was so so. It seemed kind of floury to the taste on some pieces. The shrimp fried rice also had shrimp that still had the vein aka digestive tract. On all of the shrimp. The rest of the rice tasted good. The crab puffs tasted good but were kinda chewy. I can't knock them down since they were in a bag and the steam could have caused them to be like that. However, I've gone to other restaurants and theirs were packed the same way and were fine. All in all, I am saddened by my experience tonight. I used to love this place and used to brag about it. I feel that I can no longer brag about this restaurant. I gave this 2 stars because, the waitresses or front staff seemed very nice and friendly and it was ready within 30 minutes. They seemed to work together well. So that is a bonus for this establishment. Hopefully they can fix some of their menu items to improve on taste and cleanliness. read more

This place really upset me today I was handed my food in a to go styrofoam container and it was in another plastic bag and the container had a huge hole in the bottom and all my food was in the bag so I went to talk to the manager about it his name is Aaron Baldich and he just told me he was to busy and just eat it and dismissed me and told me to leave. So unprofessional and treating senior citizens like that. This place should be shut down until their is better managment and the owner should be a ashamed of himself for letting people who work for him treat others like us bad and I had to pay 60 dollars for this meal.
