We love this locally owned restaurant. The food is delicious. No matter how busy they are, our order always comes out fast. The staff is helpful in choosing the perfect dish. The restaurant is clean and always ready for whatever size your party is. Oh and they have lots of vegetarian options.

Tried this place tonight and it's absolutely the best Chinese food I've ever had in Tucson! We got that appetizer sampler, everything was so hot and crispy. I got the Szechuan chicken and let me tell you it was perfect! The sauce was just the right and my husband had the sweet and sour pork which he really enjoyed. It wasn't to busy, fast friendly service. They would have gotten 5 stars but my husband used the restroom and he said it was dirty. The switch plate was black.

Thai iced tea...not good

I wasn't sure what to expect from here but I was very disappointed. The food was mediocre at best, the prices were a bit high for the food quality, and the service was just weird! The only nice thing was the restaurant atmosphere, and my boyfriend liked his dish. Otherwise everything just wasn't good. Here's our experience: Food: My boyfriend and I both ordered Thai iced tea, and a shared plate of crab rangoon. He ordered the Mongolian beef for his entree and I ordered the BBQ pork noodle soup. The Thai iced tea was watered down and definitely came from a pre-mix pack. It was gross. The crab rangoon were large but tasted weird. His Mongolian beef was tasty which was the only highlight. My soup was awful. There were maybe 4 pieces of BBQ pork and some had burnt ends which tasted bitter. There was also some fatty parts. The cabbage in my soup had weird little brown spots on each piece so I took them out. The broth was flavorless so I added quite a bit of soy sauce. All in all the food was a miss. Prices: Our total bill came to around $55 which seemed very high to me. I don't think any of the food was worth the price. Service: While the service was quick, our waitress was very odd. She kept commenting on whether we finished or didn't finish a certain food item which was awkward. It is none of her business how we eat (or don't eat) our food! Unfortunately we won't be back anytime soon. There's so many other Chinese food places around which are much better!

I don't know why this place has a low rating, but as soon as we walked in, we liked the ambiance and the staff were really friendly. As soon as we were seated our server has offered us the menu and asked what we wanted to drink. That's one thing we wanted in places we dine. Hospitality is key. The place is clean and not too cramped with tables and chairs. They were nicely spaced out. And food is great! One thing that I was not too crazy about is their Thai tea. For me, it was too bland. But everything was good. The portion is just right for their price. If you're looking for a good Chinese restaurant, you may want to consider this place.

Stopped by for an early afternoon brunch today. Big mistake…read more But first, let me say that our server was friendly and attentive and could not have been more helpful. Promptly seated, drinks brought out, order taken and food delivered fast, hot and correct. The background music was some chinese music tv station playing modern easy listening tunes and, along with the comfortable chairs and solid table made for a relaxing environment. The food? meh. You can see our order in the latest photo and how expensive it was. the Lo Mein was mostly tasteless and certainly lacking in thast "lo mein flavor." Although the meat was tender, the sauce was just a sticky brown sauce. Surprisingly, the Spicy Pickle Tofu was essentially the same sticky brown sauce as the Lo Mein but with some fried tofu in it and without the noodles but nothing otherwise remarkable. You can tell by looking at my earlier picture attached. The old picture shows a bright and colorful plate. The dish today was a dark brown (you could hardly see the tofu from the beef) as everything was just dark. Eggplant seemed to have a similar brown sauce as well but the eggplant was otherwise tasteless. Nothing popped. Chicken bites were bland and not at all crunchy. Just fried to soft texture but no real flavor. According to our server, the menu was just recently updated about a month ago. We noticed because one of our favorites was the Fried Taro Pie which is now gone from the menu and the server said yes, that's right. Maybe this place has a new owner or chef, but it's no longer in my top asian restaurants for Tucson.

After probably more than a dozen meals there, I've never been disappointed in the quality of the food or the service. It has a "no-nonsense" interior that suits the purpose just fine. I drive 17 miles each way to eat there if I'm not in the area for other reasons. I almost hesitate to recommend the place so it doesn't become popular to the point that seating becomes more of an issue. Smile here.

Old school Chinese diner. Not fancy, but def fast…read more Not sure if the economy is causing a drop in food quality or if there have been changes in recipes or cooks but it has been noticeable. The dish that used to be my go to was the ginger chicken, but the chicken quality is noticeably less tender, on the stringy side. So I switched to order other dishes like their tofu dishes or an occasional Mongolian meat dish. Again, the meat & sauce similarities (hard to tell them apart) are noticeable. It's still a decent place for a fast meal or easy takeout but I find myself looking elsewhere for Chinese food. Their fried rice was always basic, but now it's like it got hit with some soy sauce & little else Prices have gotten a bit higher (like they do :) though they're still cheaper than many) but quality has gone down a notch or more. Not saying I'll never be back, but it's not on my bi weekly dont wanna cook lets eat out rotation. Oh well.

We pulled up to a completely full parking lot and a crowd of people waiting out front, which is always a promising sign. When we asked for a table, we were quoted a pretty long wait. To be fair, we did not make a reservation, so that one is on us. Normally I am not the type to wait that long, but the restaurant smelled absolutely amazing. That aroma alone convinced us to stick it out, and I am so glad it did. Once we were seated, our drink orders were taken and delivered quickly. The menu had a wide variety of dishes, including several vegetarian and vegan options, which we really appreciated. It would have been helpful to have more detailed descriptions on the menu, but our server was happy to answer questions and walk us through everything. We ordered the ma po tofu, braised tofu with vegetables, and vegetable chow fun noodles. My daughter went with the orange chicken and wonton soup. About ten minutes later, the noodles and soup arrived. The bowl of soup was big enough for the entire table, which made my daughter very happy. The noodles were delicious, and shortly after we started eating, the rest of the dishes came out. The braised tofu was loaded with large chunks of bell peppers and flavorful black mushrooms. The ma po tofu came in a vibrant red chili sauce topped with Szechuan peppercorn and brought just the right amount of heat. Everything was absolutely delicious. I am really glad we decided to wait and give this place a try. Jun Dynasty definitely earned a spot in our dinner rotation, and we will be back soon.
