As part of the road trip menu, I had the blackened catfish which was very good! My wife had the Hawaiian fish with a dessert martini. Our waiter was polite and it's always nice to see the manager, Eric. I know these economic times are challenging for many, but since I consider Kingfisher an upscale dinner club, it would be nice if they offered free bread or dinner rolls.

Ours was 1/2 that size x2. 2, 1/2 corn on cob not 2 full cobs as expected, but 1 cut in half. What a total rip off and false advertising!!! We complained the minute we saw how small the KING crab was. About 10 inches long total with about 3/4 inch in diameter in shell! Now I have had king crab before and the legs were at least 2 feet in length not 10". We went home hungry and $104.00 less in our pockets. Manager was our server and only gave us 10% off! This does even cover the cost of the sausages we paid for but never got. WE ARE NEVER COMING HERE AGAIN AND NOT RECOMMENDING!

If you want a nicer spot to kick back and unwind, you definitely want to try out this spot first. The night we were there they had live music playing too, and since he spot is smaller but had decently taller ceiling, the sounds and acoustics in there actually wasn't bad. Nice to have someone jamming while you have a bite and a drink. The drinks here were sort of hit or miss for me. The drink I got wasn't bad, the drink my friend got was not good. A couple of drinks others got were also hit or miss. I think the cocktails here are just mediocre. The shots here were a bit pricey, but beggars can't be choosers perhaps. Food here was pretty good. Personal favorite, especially for the drinking crowd, that calamari basket was amazing. Came out piping hot and oh so tasty and perfectly fried. Compared to that hot mess of a fried calamari I had at JA Curry Ramen before, this was leaps and bounds ahead. Portions were generous with 7-8 pieces, but at the cost of ~$70, which, as a special menu item, was not listed. Not too generous after all. Wild Garlic Grill has a habit of trying to plate the same vegetables on practically every single plate. Don't get me wrong, I love vegetables, but this just doesn't work. The plate is overpacked with watery vegetables that dilute the flavors or ruin the crust of the meats. Friend said the lobster was good but a touch weak on the intensity of lobster flavor (Florida lobster perhaps?). Friend is from the coast in Massachusetts and so knows lobster. The onion rings were really good. My shrimp basket was perfect. The seasoned fries were much like the ones at Blakes Lottaburger and very good. The shrimp were breaded and fried with the tail on. The corn bread was tender and a touch sweet. Our drinks were kept full. The, I'm guessing, manager stopped by twice to see if we needed anything which was nice. This is a nice, hidden gem near downtown. The menu has so many options that everyone can find something to eat. We'll go back. I want to try more things on the menu.

For as quiet as the Ina location usually is when we drop in, the service shouldn't feel like Popeyes on a good day. I liked how they had the extra sides on the plates that I wouldn't see at other traditional sushi restaurants; scallions, jalapeños, and krab.
