I always feel welcomed here. I love the food and this is one of my favorite Chinese restaurants in town.

You'd think that when you pay $16 for a tofu dish that it would come with rice. That is not the case. Mapo Tofu was extremely oily to eat without rice. I ordered pick up so I didn't notice till I got home. Just go to the Buffett...this is not better.

The Peking duck was delicious, and the staffs were helpful in how to order the Peking duck. My families from California enjoyed very much.

I would eat here everyday! Food was out of this world Everything came out hot and fresh out the wok. Some of the most authentic and delicious Chinese I've ever had. Service staff was attentive and friendly. Waitress was knowledgeable about her menu and excited to help us. Decor, furniture, and landscaping made for an immersive experience. Would recommend to family and friends

We ordered a variety of dishes to share, we all agreed the sweet and sour chicken was our favorite. The waitress was friendly and attentive.

A container the size of my hand.

Has Old Peking recently changed management? This has been our go-to for take out since we moved to the neighborhood 10 years ago. Tonight I ordered take out with delivery. The food use to come in large white styrofoam containers. The friend rice would practically fall out when the lid was opened, it was piled so high. Tonight it came in a container 1/2 the size and was oily. In fact all 4 things we ordered were dripping in oil. I have included a picture of the Mongolian beef. That's oil in the container. That doesn't include the oil that was on my plate. It was swimming in it. If you don't believe me about the container size look at the restaurants photos on the yelp page. It shows the food in the big white containers. Now look at the picture I added of my container tonight. I know times are tough. I know food prices have risen, but 1/2 the same amount of food and much lower quality, we sadly won't be back.

Good flavors however, lately I am having hard time finding chicken in their sweet and sour chicken. Disappointing! The fried rice is always good and their hot and sour soup is the best. Fast service. They bring the food to the table as it becomes ready so some people in your party might be eating while you are waiting on your food

Much improved from a fyears ago. I've been back a couple times in the last few weeks. We always get it to go but I believe the dining is remodeled and open for guests. Friendly staff. Ordered vegan specialties, Crispy spicy salty tofu and it was delicious, but the Crispy spicy sour tofu was even better. Fresh Yu Choi with Garlic. Big servings, reasonable prices. Skip the sesame balls they were not good. Husband enjoyed his veggie egg foo young and house chow fun. We had leftovers for the next day both times and we have big appetites! If the owners read this I suggest they vent the to go boxes to keep the crispness in the crispy. Next time I will take pics!

Fresh, delicious, and reasonably priced Old Peking is a Tucson tradition well deserving of your patronage. I love thier Egg Foo Young.

First visit since they've re-opened and it was well worth it. The interior is fresh and bright making it feel more current yet not sterile. We were enthusiastically greeted upon entering and offered food recommendations based on our preferences. We chose steamed dumplings, Szechuan shrimp, and chicken fried rice, all spicy. The spice level provided the perfect bite enhancing the dish without overpowering the flavors. The dumpling noodles were light with a flavorful filling. I was impressed with the tenderness of the shrimp and variety and amount of vegetables in the Szechuan Shrimp. The chicken fried rice was filled with chicken and the rice was seasoned and spiced perfectly. We will definitely make this a more frequent stop for dine in or take home dinners.

Bag was full of sauce, utensils and other items in bag were sticky and covered in sauce.

I ordered this exact same thing last week and everything was delicious. This is an amazing inconsistency. When I called the delivery person's attention to all of the sauce he told me not to worry about it. Won't order from this restaurant again.

We had it take out. It was served quickly and piping hot. They forgot the chop sticks, but not a big deal.

It's not going to be the best you ever had in your life, and if you've been to Southern China, you're not going to be blown away. HOWEVER, it is the homemade taste that makes it good. It doesn't feel like any other restaurant, it feels like you are at somebody's house. Here's the thing, I came in expecting the usual Chinese food affair, but I left genuinely surprised and impressed. This restaurants specializes in Southern Chinese food, which is different from other regions. I am so happy this restaurant and its chains helps the cuisine gain exposure and adds depth to Chinese food in general. Even better, the menu is laid out in a way that it is easy to understand: gluten-free options, allergies, and spice level. The service was great. All though it isn't a "full" sit-down restaurant, everybody there seemed to know the menu well and was happy to be there. As a Cantonese person, it was nice hearing my language being spoken in the kitchen. The restaurant itself was immaculately clean and very modern. We came during early dinner time so the parking lot was near empty and easy to park. Overall, if you've never had Southern Chinese food or are looking for something more authentic than classic Chinese takeaway, definitely check out this location. The cherry on top are the big portion sizes and the price.

Gentle Ben's decor is very modern, and definitely looks like it becomes a club after hours. I am imagining the staff consists primarily of students, but they have always been very attentive. If anything, the staff is 5/5 and the food is 2/5 - round down because I am a realist. Of the times I have been invited here, I tend to order the tacos. Again, they are fine, and I feel like those are more reasonably portioned than the burgers or handhelds. Something I am also big on that I do not see with the other dishes is enough sauce, and this is not an issue with the tacos. The carnitas tacos in particular have habanero cream and guacamole and side salsa. You will not have to worry about dry food if you order any of the tacos. I would probably like it better if the venue was less crowded. This is not a reflection of being at capacity, but one of arranging tables in such a way that lends itself to being elbowed in the back by patrons at the adjacent table if they are even slightly intoxicated. While I understand the patio seating is likely high value, the experience is of higher value when there is room to breathe when eating dinner.

It is single-handedly the best bread and sandwich I've had anywhere and I get it every time I visit Tucson now that I've moved. The bread is so good that buy a large loaf and take it home with me to make sandwiches with. The people who work here are super sweet and friendly.
