Raijin Ramen is one of those reliable, casual spots I keep coming back to. It's quick, efficient, and consistently good, even when there's a line out the door--the service moves fast and you're in and out without feeling rushed. I really appreciate that they offer a solid vegan ramen option, which isn't always easy to find. While this isn't the fanciest or most mind-blowing ramen in town, it delivers on flavor and convenience. I do knock off a star for heat lovers--no matter how much spice you ask for, it just doesn't get truly spicy. Still, if you're looking for flavorful ramen, fast service, and a dependable go-to spot, Raijin gets the job done.

Service was fantastic and we were lucky enough to only have to wait about 10 minutes for a table even though we were quoted 30 minutes, what a nice surprise! Both ramens were delicious, I particularly loved the garlic flavor on the tonkotsu. My first bowl of ramen had a hair floating on top but they promptly gave me a new one. Would definitely go back!

Eh it was ok. Came for lunch and got the tonkotsu with spicy chili on the side. I needed soy sauce and the flavor was underwhelming. I had a very small piece of pork which was tasty but there wasn't much of it. The egg was fine, not overcooked. Lots of toppings and lots of noodles. Overall it was like eating under-seasoned soup with too many noodles. The broth wasn't how I remember. It had the right flavor but not as rich as I remember. Last time I was here was probably 2018. I would not come back.

Service was great. But flavor seemed off. Also wish they had a child's menu or allowed splitting an order. Calamari was a wonderful appetizer and the edamame as well. The seafood ramen only had one shrimp and a few tiny pieces of squid and scallops. Kids each had the chicken Ramen. My daughter had the Tonkotsu with black garlic (this may have thrown the flavor off). Broth was okay but other places have better broth.

I had never been to this restaurant. It is definitely worth the visit if you like Ramen. Ramen dish I had was fantastic.

Pretty good ramen in Tucson area since it's authentic Japanese ramen, I would be more impressed about their gyoza since they use a bit spice n vinegar sauce!! Tasty n delicious!!! Services were very good n efficient!!! Ambiance seem very typical classic Japanese ramen shop!!

Another great visit! We were seated right away at 7pm on a Friday night. We sat outside and it was nice and quiet. We got gyoza, spicy miso and spicy chicken and everything was hot, spicy, fresh and delicious. The food comes out so fast! Servers are all quick and very friendly.

Loved this place! If you need a great meal at a fast pace - this is your spot. We ordered the gyoza, the pork yakisoba, and the spicy miso ramen. I am not exaggerating at all when I tell you that our food was out in less than 5 minutes. And it was piping hot and delicious! The staff is also so very friendly. I actually don't care for ramen and cannot use chopsticks. The staff didn't make me feel ashamed or embarrassed for asking for a fork to eat my yakisoba dish. We both loved our food. My husband is a huge ramen fan and loved his. I loved the pork yakisoba so much that I'd go back for just this one dish again and again. The noodles were cooked to perfection! The gyoza were so full of flavor and came with a light suave drizzled on them so there was no need to dip them in anything - making it much easier to eat. The space is small, but the service is fast so it wasn't hard to get an inside table on a busy Saturday. They also have a patio which I am looking forward to experiencing in the cooler months. This will definitely not be our last time at this spot!

We enjoyed the quick service and good ramen. The ambiance was nice and mellow at 4pm in the afternoon. Will recommend if you're looking for a good ramen spot!

black roasted garlic tonkotsu and red spicy chili tonkotsu

We ordered black roasted garlic tonkotsu and red spicy chili tonkotsu, both were so savory/delicious. We preferred the red spicy chili. It was just the right amount of spice, not too spicy that you can't enjoy it. Not pictured is chicken ramen for our kids, they loved it as well, they all of their noodles.

Tooling around Tucson with my daughter (another Elite), we stopped by for a bite while pre-Black Friday shopping. I didn't know what to expect, but the restaurant is a small, unassuming place. Maneuvering through the tiny parking lot was likely the least pleasant part of our experience, but we seated immediately. The restaurant was clean and had an open design. The one-page laminated menu showcased Ramen. I chose a seafood ramen bowl and Kay selected a veggie bowl. We opted out of the starters and it worked out for the best because the serving was generous. The food came out incredibly quickly, within minutes. Unfortunately, that kind of prep resulted in seafood that was a bit overdone and chewy. I added garlic chili oil, scallions and a soft boiled egg to my seafood ramen order and a small warm saké. The soy broth was so flavorful we both ordered extra noodles to extend our enjoyment of the deliciousness. Our waiter(s) were ever present and so attentive it made for a fun, interactive experience. I was glad if the time to chat with them as it resulted in their assistance in locating my misplaced telephone.

Ask the Community - Raijin Ramen

Do they have gluten free noodles?

Yes, see the menu photos under More Ramen for gluten free options

    Are there gluten free options?

Yes. There are rice bowls that appear to be gluten free.

As a guy who has eaten ramen all over japan, is this ramen up to the standards of the stuff in Tokyo/Osaka/Kyoto etc?

I think so. I spent five years in Japan. I did not eat a lot of ramen (though I ate out a lot), but this place has the feel of a place in Japan. The chef, I am told, is from Okinawa.

The red miso definitely satisfied my spicy tastes if you are the type of person who can eat a bag of hot Cheetos without blinking you'll be fine but if you're sensitive to spice you might want to skip that option. On the menu they do have chili peppers next to the items to indicate the spice level. The portions are BIG and definitely worth it. They come in the cutest bowels and have an excellent packing system of the broth is separate from the noodles and other items if you're getting it to go. The actual restaurant is quirky for sure with Easter eggs hidden and anime and Pokémon around the restaurant. This is DEFINITELY better than Obon and Raijen hands down. This restaurants specializes in Southern Chinese food, which is different from other regions. I am so happy this restaurant and its chains helps the cuisine gain exposure and adds depth to Chinese food in general. The spice was fairly tame, it adds a kick but doesn't overpower or leave your mouth on fire--which I'm okay with. The spice seemed more cayenne/paprika based though I couldn't pinpoint the seasonings. If you're a spice-head I'd suggest adding buffalo or honey sriracha sauce.
