Went there with some Yelp friends and I think this is going to disappoint them a bit, but, yes, 3 stars. I had the Sriracha Honey chicken wings and the tonkotsu ramen. The wings were uneventful. Someone had ordered the Parmesan cheese wings and they were good. The ramen is served in a clever takeout bowl with the noodles and addins in a separate container on the top. Clever for take home, but mendokusai (a hassle) for eating. I had to transfer the noodles and addins to the broth, obviously, and than meant basically dumping it into the broth which put things upside down, namely, the addins were now underneath the noodles. If there is an easier way to do this, I'm not aware of it. And I lost the yolk of my egg because of this. It just dissolved into the broth. Bummer. Now for the taste. The broth was weak. For tonkotsu, I found it a bit thin. The really good tonkotsu broths (Kiwami Ramen, Ikkyu) are creamy. This one not so much. And then because of the narrowness and tallness of the main bowl, it was difficult to spoon any broth. I needed to tip the bowl to be able to get the spoon into the broth. The charsiu pork was excellent. They do have traditional Japanese sodas and I partook of the Melon Creme. Mmm, oishii. Well, the verdict is, if I'm going to spend that much on ramen, it's going to be a Kiwami or Ikkyu. 5* = A top favorite. Mind-blowing good. I will definitely return and I will go out of my way to go here. Worth every dime of my money. 4* = Outstanding. Tucson-top-tier. Some elements not quite as good as it gets, but it still is worthy of my regular business. 3* = Good experience. I might do repeat business if it is convenient, the only option, the only one in its category, or on a whim, but would not be among the first thing to come to mind. Would definitely recommend you trying it to get your own take on it. 2* = Not so good. Would not recommend at all. Waste of money. 1* = How are they still in business? Stay away at all costs!
This restaurant is a gem. We had a long day of going to the emergency vet, driving around Saguaro National Park, and picking up a rental car. It was incredibly stressful and tiresome. I was looking for a chill place to grab dinner. Toss checked all the boxes. The fried chicken was like the kind of salt and pepper chicken I grew up eating. It was cool that you could get it on custom ramen. My poor dog had a little bandage around her hung leg and they brought out a nice little bowl of water for her. Very sweet staff that gave us a lot of insight on what was best to do to make our ramen decisions.
Quick and friendly service. We enjoyed the tossed chicken (honey sriracha) and our ramen bowls (spicy miso and tonkotsu). I'm used to more chashu in my ramen, but overall I enjoyed the flavor. Though the spice is no joke in the Arizona heat. The tonkotsu had a nice rich flavor, and the eggs were cooked perfectly. We'll likely return and try other options.
I came here for an early dinner during the week with a friend, and it was almost empty. I wanted to try both the chicken and the ramen, so I ordered the spicy chicken sandwich and the desert ramen. Unfortunately, no combos allow for orders of both ramen and chicken, so I ordered each separately. It'd be nice if they offered a deal or combo that let you get a little of both since they are known for both. The chicken sandwich was decent and the chicken was juicy and tender. The ramen was also decent, but nothing spectacular. The container the ramen comes in is pretty hard to get open too. The food overall was ok, but worth a try if you enjoy ramen and/or fried chicken.
Ordered take out from here on a Monday night and service was quick! We got a spicy tonkatsu ramen, desert ramen, small toss chicken with garlic parmesan flavor and a chicken and fries combo with salt & pepper flavor. Everything was super delicious and hot! The ramen comes in a cute tub where soup is on the bottom and the ingredients are separated with a top container right over the soup. I'd definitely come back again to try more chicken flavors!
Can't go wrong with some comfort noodles. I love the cute drawing in the bowls! Amazing service anytime I've been.
Chicken wings are crazy good here! Walking through the door you get a glimpse of some unique art work covering the walls as well as the people who work there. Excellent friendly service and those garlic Parmesan cheese chicken wings were Mmm delicious. Restaurant was clean, plenty of seating considering it was small but a very enjoyable experience.
The ramen was first class. I got the classic ramen and the pork belly was perfect. The boiled egg was perfect. I wish the noodles were a little softer and the broth was delicious but could have used an extra 1/4-1/2 cup considering the amount of noodle and toppings it comes with. I will definitely go spicier next time. I tasted a bit of my friends spicy ramen and it definitely had the kick of spice I like. I was a bit underwhelmed at the fried chicken tossed in honey sarriacha sauce. It was seasoned ok but could use more sauce. We ordered thru door dash so I can't speak to the service or decor of the restaurant. Will definitely return for some spicy ramen next time.
A nice neighborhood ramen and fried chicken joint. The tonkatsu broth was very flavorful and the pork slice served with it was nice and crispy. I also tried the garlic Parmesan wings - nice and garlicky. It's very small inside with about 4-5 tables and a communal hightop bar. You order at the counter and all food is served in disposable to-go containers, even if you eat there. Pretty basic and modest inside but they do have some anime and Pokémon decorations and posters. There is also some outdoor seating on a patio.
the sudden onset of a respiratory infection and one working nostril, ramen sounded like the ultimate cure. So, naturally I ordered the spicy tonkotsu ramen. The broth was exactly what I needed, it was so tasty with the right amount of spice. I added fried chicken to my ramen and man oh man it was so darn tasty! If you want an extra kick in the butt, add some extra spicy chili and you'll have no regrets, maybe heartburn. This was the cure I needed and the staff was so kind & creative and drew me a "feel better" cat on my ramen bowl holder. Their establishment is clean, friendly, and convenient for me. I will continue to visit Toss and are excited to try other items on their menu.
First time trying this place and was pleasantly surprised. The outside definitely doesn't look like a great place. They had markings out of prices on their drive through in pen.... In the end I got the desert ramen. It was really good! I've been sick so the spicy part was perfect. It was yummy for my sick tummy! I would definitely return. I do wish they cut up the chicken pieces more, but I know for next time to cut them up before tossing them in the broth. Service was okay, price was pricy but with inflation happening I don't see how prices can be low unfortunately
First time having a ramen place in Tucson. Read some good reviews so I was excited to try this place. Nice little restaurant with limited sitting. Pretty good selection of menu.. Ordered the spicy tonkatsu ramen with exra ramen because I was hungry ... I don't like to eat at sit down place and have the food served in a paper bowl.. Very interesting how the to go bowl was made.. Size was pretty big also. Take the lid/top off dump the content in the bowl and have at it. Broth was pretty good.. The hot oil that came with it had a very nice kick. The ramen could have been cooked little but longer but still pretty good. The chasu was a decent size but not tender and melt in your mouth style I'm used to. Over all the ramen was pretty good. One thing I hated was that bowl made it little difficult to enjoy the broth with the spoon... $19.02 with extra ramen, little bit on the high price but then everything got more expensive. I would definitely come back and try some other dish..

We chose to try here over our usual Rajin Ramen on this very cold day. There is very limited seating. It smells so good when you walk in and then you order at the counter. This food was not good. The chicken is fried but tastes like fish.we tried the desert ramen and it was so spicy you couldn't taste anything, and that is coming from people who love spice. The noodles were cooked well but getting the lid off the ramen was obnoxiously harder than it needed to be. Couldn't get over the fishy taste of everything, including the wings and fries. read more
It's hard to get five stars from me but holy moly they deserve it. I've been on a ramen kick red miso specifically and this place is not in the best area of town but these are usually the best places. I got the spicy red miso, small chicken garlic parm, and my husband got the vegan ramen. All were extremely flavorful and fresh tasting and came out quickly. They have a good selection of pre bottled drinks as well to complement the dishes. The red miso definitely satisfied my spicy tastes if you are the type of person who can eat a bag of hot Cheetos without blinking you'll be fine but if you're sensitive to spice you might want to skip that option. On the menu they do have chili peppers next to the items to indicate the spice level. The portions are BIG and definitely worth it. They come in the cutest bowels and have an excellent packing system of the broth is separate from the noodles and other items if you're getting it to go. The actual restaurant is quirky for sure with Easter eggs hidden and anime and Pokémon around the restaurant. This is DEFINITELY better than Obon and Raijen hands down. This is my new favorite ramen spot! read more

The place is small but cozy. There is anime artwork all over the walls which is so fun! I planned to go to the location on Campbell but it was closed so we went to this one. I had looked up the menu beforehand but when I got to the Alvernon location the menu was different. My friend got a chicken sandwich and the Desert ramen. I got the small toss fried chicken with garlic Parmesan flavor. The toss fried chicken is dark meat. I tried my friend's ramen and it was spicy but the flavor was ok. She said her sandwich left much to be desired. The concept of the container was cool it separates the top from the bottom. The top contains your ramen ingredients and meats and the bottom is the broth. The size of the container doesn't justify its use. Once everything has been added the container is only 1/3 full. The toss fried chicken wasn't good. The Parmesan and garlic flavor weren't strong. You did get a lot of it tho. It needed something more and better quality Parmesan. The cheese was so mild that if I ate with it my eyes closed I wouldn't know what I was eating. Service was ok. Not particularly friendly or helpful. read more

For $30, I expect a bowl. My husband got the Spicy Desert and I got the Tonkotsu. The pork belly and chicken taste good, but the broth for mine is so salty it's hardly edible. The Desert tastes overwhelmingly of lime and my husband considers it fishy. His is totally inedible. Needless to say we couldn't finish our food and left hungry. Seriously gross and a waste of our money. What a disappointment! I hate to leave bad reviews, but if you appreciate a good broth or a good Asian soup, this is not the place. You have been warned. read more
My buddy was craving some Ramen, so we decided to try this based on Yelp reviews. I ordered the Spicy Tonkotsu Ramen to go. The good. The service was very fast, we waited less than 7 minutes for our to go order! The restaurant itself is a bit of a hole in the wall but the food was definitely quality. The toppings were separated from the broth which is crucial to keeping the noodles fresh. The bad. The entrance and parking were a bit funky, especially trying to navigate during rush hour traffic. The service was nice ok but I felt like it was a bit of an inconvenience. She was a younger girl so it may just be a generational thing :) The ugly. The food was good. I really wanted to try their chicken but decided to just stick with the Ramen. Overall, if the service was a little warmer, I would probably give it 5 stars. Fast, good food is hard to beat! 4/5 stars! read more
Very cute, tiny spot tucked in Midtown/South of Tucson. The aromatic scent of tonkotsu filled the air as I walked in. You will immediately notice the One Piece decor from the walls, which I absolutely love so much. You order from the counter and food comes in takeout container, one came with a small sketch illustration of their mascot. :) The flavor is umami and rich, though I prefer creamier textures, I don't like broths too salty like other locations here in town. They got the salt seasoned just right for me. Staff was friendly and brought food to my table, very nice. Ambience is good in this small ramen shop like TFC&R. I liked the music and the vibes. Their bathroom was very clean and kept, very cute decor inside. I would have to knock down a star for the graffiti that looks like some rude solicitor did that to destroy their property. One would legit call this place a hole in the wall. :( Nonetheless, the food was delicious, and overall was a pleasant experience here. I would visit for tonkotsu! read more
This small restaurant is a hidden jem. Genuine from scratch ramen and Japanese style fried chicken. Not only do they serve Ramen but they have a drive through so you can take it to go. The staff and cooks do a great job here. read more
This place has been on my list for quite some time, and it was definitely worth the wait! I didn't think that fried chicken and ramen would be a good combo, but they were actually great together. I had the desert miso, which is definitely spicy but also flavorful and a perfect dish to warm you right up. My only comment would be that the noodles didn't seem super fresh, which makes sense because they are not put directly in with the broth. However, this makes the dish more portable if you want to take it to go. The spring rolls and the dipping sauce were an especially tasty appetizer! This is a cozy little nook and a fun place to go to just enjoy dinner with a friend. read more
Brought a group of coworkers here (about 30). Absolutely filled the outdoor area. Step 1:order ramen Step 2: order fried chicken Step 3: acquire the good Step 4 (this is important): DUMP THE MF CHICKEN IN THE MF SOUP. IM TELLING YOU ITS GOOD! Tonkotsuuuuhhhhh dude read more
Friendly person who took our order, this was our first time here & she was very good at explaining our options. I got the toss fried chicken combo(almost like nuggests, but a bit bigger in size) definitely get enough for your money. Will come back. You get a choice of sauce for the chicken & for the waffle fries. Both very tasty! read more
Upon entering the nice lady at the counter greeted us, and was able to help us with any questions and concerns we had. The food was to die for, we came here for a quick lunch while stopping in Tucson for a couple days and we couldn't have been happier with the result. We got the Spicy Tonkotsu and the Desert Ramen, and they were both absolutely amazing! The toppings were also separated from the broth when first served in case you want to take it to go, very convenient! read more
Came for the ramen, will be back for the chicken sandwich! The ramen was standard. Served in to go containers whether you eat in or pickup. But the chicken sandwich was stellar. The breading, crunch and sauce makes this one the champ of the recent chicken sandwich wars. I live in northwest Tucson and will be back for this stellar item! read more
When I've gotta have my veggies, Toss always hits the spot. Always filling & fresh in my belly. I appreciate their dedication to consistency. I always enjoy the Vegan Ramen: Vegan Shoyu Mix(Soy sauce) Baby Bok Choy, Crimini mushroom, Sweet corn, Menma,Wakame, dried onion. My daughter tried the Chicken Ramen: Chicken Stock with ShoYu(soy sauce) mix. Fried Chicken, Tamago, Narutomaki, Wakame, Scallion, and crimini mushroom. We both shared the Pork Gyoza: Pan Fried Pork Dumplings with vinegar hot oil. read more
This place is a solid 3.5 to 4 stars. The ramen is flavorful, but missing a bit of something to put it over the top. I have not tried the chicken wings here, only the ramen. The silverware situation here is not ideal. All ramen is served in a to-go container with disposable chopsticks and small spoons that make it difficult to eat the ramen. The interior of this ramen shop is decorated with little posters of One Piece characters, and there's a drive-thru! read more

As my daughter said, this is the perfect restaurant for us - chicken for me and ramen for her. You can order on line or drive through, although you don't order at the drive up sign. There is a small note on top of board directing you to order at window. When you get to window the menu is repeated, plus they have helpfully listed out what everything means, so easy to order. They have around five ramen, including one that uses the friend chicken and you can also custom build your ramen. We ordered the miso and the sho yu. They are essentially the same but miso has the pork broth and shoyu has soy broth. It was great. Very generous serving of noodles and pork belly and a perfectly done hard boiled egg. They have a great packaging for to go, with the broth in a huge container and all the goodies in a separate container that fits into the larger container and closes it. And the seaweed sheet was separate from even that. We ordered a side of chicken nuggets as well, cause had to try. My daughter and husband loved it. Personally, as a huge chicken fan, I found the pieces too small so not enough chicken in each bite. I want my chicken but the breading was fantastic and the yum yum sauce was great. Next time I'll do the tenders so have more chicken and I'm sure I'll be thrilled. read more
Fairly priced and great flavor. I picked the option where I could get two different flavors of the chicken to split with my girlfriend. She also got a ramen. Ramen came in two cups where you have to transfer the contents into the broth. Good idea in case you don't want to eat it all at once, however, it wasn't 100% intuitive to either of us and took a bit of struggle to disconnect the two ramen bowls. read more

Fondly remember running through the monsoon in August to try Toss Fried! Perfect ramen weather! The container it came in was the cutest- the the broth was separated from the ramen to prevent the noodles from getting soggy. Not much seating indoor and most people were ordering take-out. The flavor was not a traditional Japanese - it tasted tomato-y. Still decent and my friend enjoyed the chicken sandwich. read more
I've recently tried all the ramen shops in Tucson over the span of the last couple months and hands-down, Toss has the best spicy tonkatsu ramen! It is actually spicy unlike other places. It makes my nose runny by how spicy it is. The broth is super flavorful and savory. Also the chasu is thick and tasty. The best chasu in Tucson as well. The key to a good ramen is the broth and chasu. I gave Toss a three star at first because of the building, but I believe the food out weighs everything and triumph all the other ramen joints in Tucson. read more
New Ramen and Chicken Restaurant!! Small dining area (3 small tables) which were not available because of covid. There were also two tables outside in the front of business with shade that folks were eating at - the cement tables could use a good cleaning and the patio area woul look nice with some plants... or art - a little pop - the place is new so in time. The building is an old fast food restaurant. They had the nice Apple like computer/registers and service was quick. We went at lunch and the place was pretty busy, but we were helped quickly and they brought the food out to our car. We ordered the miso soup, buffalo wings and the chicken sandwich (regular not spicy). Everything was packaged up nicely. The soup was large and very good with thick and chewy Noodles. The wings were classic with a generous coating of spicy buffalo sauce. The chicken sandwich was extra crispy and a huge portion of two pieces of chicken with mayo and pickles, the bun was okay soft - not too special. We will definitely be back to try more different flavors of wings, the spicy chicken sandwich and the soups! read more
This place is hella good! drive-thru ramen!! I think in Japan, fried chicken ramen is usually eaten around the holidays/christmastime, that's why it's so awesome to have tried this place last month. It's definitely ramen weather in Tucson now, and this local ramen place does not disappoint. The food is packaged so well, it's still nice and warm by the time you're ready to eat it at home. The variety of broth that they have at Toss is definitely worth a try. So far, the desert ramen and tonkotsu ramen are bomb! The snackie things that they have are very tasty. Recommend the chicken tenders with the yumyum sauce as well as the crisscut fries. Toss is def one of the best ramen places in Tucson. read more
