Back in town Tucson, Wanted to try the place since I was originally a fan of four seasons, their original restaurant. A little more of a lunch and go atmosphere, but the food was wonderful as with their original restaurant prices were good. The the portions of sushi were generous, and the staff were very friendly. I would recommend this as a nice spot to get a quick bite or enjoy a fun Asian fusion restaurant.

Underwhelming papaya salad with soggy jalapeños.

Food: marginal. Very lackluster. I had a paddy salad, and it came with a third of a wedge of lettuce and chopsticks?? the flavors are just OK but overly dressed. My friend had a California roll and she said it was decent. Service: do you order at the counter... Ambience: just a little hole in the wall sit down fast food joint. And get this... No restroom at all. I asked and the answer was no. Will I come back? Don't think so.

Green Lava - The image shows chicken pieces coated in a glossy, brown sauce with visible red pepper flakes, placed in a white takeout container. Green leafy vegetables are partially visible around the chicken, suggesting a dish with vegetables and sauce. The focus is on the food, highlighting the texture and color of the chicken and sauce.

Seasons Eats is conveniently located next to U of A in a strip center. We were greeted warmly when we arrived, given menus, and told to order at the counter when we were ready. When we did, the staff was friendly and helpful in answering our questions. I ordered the veggie Pad Thai (mild) and my partner got the chicken Green Lava (medium). Our food came out in about 10 minutes. The portions are generous and served in to-go containers, which makes it easy to bring home leftovers. The Pad Thai was fresh and filling, though the sauce was a bit sweeter than I prefer. My partner really enjoyed the Green Lava and said he'd definitely order it again.

We stopped in for a quick dinner on Sunday evening with a craving for Thai food. The place is really casual, unassuming, minimal decor etc. That being said, the food came out quick and was really flavorful. We split the Tom Kha soup with veggies and tofu ($2 up charge) and the pad Thai with shrimp ($2 up charge). I felt that the prices were high for the food being served on paper plates and for the atmosphere of the restaurant being very casual. There's no bathroom available for customers either. I expect $40+ on two entrees to come with a little more ambiance, but portions were good. We had plenty of leftovers for the next day. I would return for to-go soup but this isn't the place to take someone for a nice date. 3.5 stars

Service was fine. Ambiance is definitely casual maybe even below casual. Panang Curry was thin. But tasty. Medium spicy is perfect. I got 8 jumbo shrimp which was definitely filling. It's a $2 up charge for shrimp which is not on the menu. For curry in a to go cup it was $18 which seemed pretty ridiculous (refer back to ambiance comment). For the price I expect rich and delectable. It tasted better the next day and I did have sizable leftovers.

A detailed close-up of a plate of pad thai, showing stir-fried rice noodles mixed with pieces of chicken, bean sprouts, and chopped green onions. The dish is topped with crushed peanuts and a lime wedge on the side, served in a white bowl. The noodles appear glossy and well-coated with sauce, highlighting typical ingredients of Thai cuisine.

Since this is a mixed Asian Chinese, Thai and Japanese restaurant, they're trying to sell more selections n items on the menu. But getting confused there's no signature dish at all? I thinking they have a positioning issue. I ordered the Pad Thai noodles and it wasn't too impressed... overcooking using with those sweet n sour sauce, no tenderness on the meat of chicken... But there were a good quantity of foods and good services even though not much offering on table service since it's a counter cashier ordering. Overall services staff was nice enough, but the food wasn't attractive enough...

Same as it ever was, minus breakfast and weirdly a bathroom. Four Seasons was my go to for Thai for years I can't even remember how long. When it closed it left a big hole in my eating agenda. I literally ate there 2 to 4 times a month. Drunken Noodles always my go to in times of need of comfort food. I ordered that at Seasons Eats and I was so excited I forgot to take a picture. It was amazing just like I remember almost double in price but that's par for the course. I miss the old place and my favorite chicken fried pork and eggs. On the menu still is hillbilly rice so that's good. I'm so glad it's back in whatever version. It's just like a good friend you haven't seen in a while, you pick up right where you left off.

Pumpkin curry with chicken - A food container holds chicken curry with a creamy, yellowish sauce. Visible ingredients include chunks of chicken, zucchini slices, and other vegetables. A white plastic fork is partially submerged in the dish. The curry appears to be a rich, thick consistency, typical of a coconut or cream-based sauce.

Went for lunch on a Wednesday and received friendly service at the counter. We ordered the tofu spring rolls and pumpkin curry with chicken. The restaurant is simple and cozy and was located in the old Unitea boba place. The curry was good and came with rice) and pumpkin was just the right texture. The spring roll came a little later than the curry, but it was good with noodles in it. The soda machine wasn't working that day, but luckily they had Thai tea. Will totally return!

Green chicken curry - A round, beige bowl holds green chicken curry with a creamy, light green sauce. The dish includes vegetables such as peas, carrots, green beans, and pieces of chicken, garnished with herbs and red chili flakes. The bowl is placed on a light wooden table, with part of a person's arm visible in the background.

I was pleasantly surprised with how delicious the food was. We got the green chicken curry - perfectly rich and had some actual heat to it which I love. The chicken was tender and the veggies had the perfect crunch. We also got a sushi roll, I believe it was the number 29, and it was huge! Everything was well worth the price and we will definitely be back again.

Karuna's has great things about it like the ability to get food at a high spice level (the highest…read morespice in town for Thai and on some days it can get quite spicy at the highest level of 5/5. Good place to go less spicy at if you generally eat less spice). I also like the tofu here. The food is usually good but can also be hit or miss. I find that 1 out of a few times the tom Kha soup and the curries can fall flat in terms of flavor complexity and are too salty. They are often good just not consistently. They have a couple noodle dishes that I find more consistent. All items with V can be made vegetarian. They are also very vegan friendly. Here's what I have tried here: -Rad Nah Flat rice noodles stir fried with kana or broccoli in a special gravy with choice of protein. I get mine with fried tofu at the highest spice level 5/5 or 4/5 if I am in the mood for less spicy. This dish is one of the main dishes that has been consistently good for me here and I almost always get it here. -Tom Kha soup: It is not my favorite Tom Kha in Tucson (my fave Tom Kha in Tucson is at Seasons Eats) but on good days it hits the spot for me. I get it with half fried tofu and half vegetables which they didn't charge me extra for here. The problem is that once in awhile it's less good and falls flat with less complexity and too much salt. I typically get Tom Kha soup at the highest spice level. It's still a go to for me here since it's good most of the time I have tried it and I like to get it with the Rad Nah Flat rice noodles. Pad Kee Mao: Fresh rice noodles or bean thread stir fried in red curry sauce with garlic, Thai chili, onion, bell pepper, broccoli, straw mushroom, baby corn, and basil. For this one I like to make a change to wide flat rice noodles instead of the thin noodles it comes with by default. I get it with fried tofu. This dish is fairly consistent for me and I enjoy getting it from time to time. -Yum Pak salad: Thai eggplant, carrot, snow peas, onion, broccoli, cilantro, cucumber, and Chinese cabbage in a tasty lime dressing. At the highest 5/5 spice level it definitely got spicy for me which can be the case sometimes with Thai salads at the highets spice level. but I also had it with a Poh Thak soup at the highest spice level so I think both built up for me together. This one wasn't my favorite because I am a little picky about how I like my eggplant ( I liked softer and very cooked typically) but I could see myself getting it again if in the mood, maybe at a 4/5 spice depending on my mood. I only tried it once. - Poh Thak soup Spicy soup with fragrant broth of lemongrass, ginger, galangal, basil, & lime. I get it with fried tofu. I really liked the flavors. At the highest 5/5 spice level it definitely got spicy for me but I also had it with the Yum Pak salad salad at the highest spice level so I think both built up for me together. I still very much enjoyed it and would get it again, maybe at a 4 out of 5 spice depending on my mood. I only tried it once. -Red Curry: Red is my typical go to curry I always get or at least start with at Thai places. It's usually good but unfortunately the curries here, which are usually my go to in Thai restaurants, are very inconsistent for me. Sometimes good and sometimes too salty and not complex. I tend to prefer to get curries, especially red, in Tucson at Nattha's Bann Thai. -Panang Curry with Straw Mushroom and Tofu: Fried tofu simmered in panang curry with coconut milk, straw mushroom, bell pepper, young jackfruit, carrot, chili & Thai basil. Fun to see young jackfruit on the menu here. Unfortunately the curries here, which are usually my go to in Thai restaurants, are very inconsistent for me. Sometimes good and sometimes too salty and not complex. Pad Thai vegetarian: I only tried it once here but it wasn't for me, at least that one time I tried and I didn't get it again. The sauce was too bland for me. It can get pretty crowded here on some weekend evenings as it's not a big space. The service is usually good here in my experience. I'd come back for my favorites or to try something new but I do keep in mind that it isn't always consistent with some dishes fluctuating in flavor sometimes and therefore sometimes prefer to go elsewhere for Thai. My general rating system: 1 star: I would stay away 2 stars: Has some good things about it but I generally don't recommend. 3 stars: Pretty good. I wouldn't go out of my way to go back but a decent place 4 stars: Great place. I would go back. 5 stars: I highly recommend stopping whatever you are doing and making plans to try it out! An Evie favorite!

Our group of five chose to explore Karuna's Thai Plate after our favorite Thai restaurant closed…read more We made a reservation and arrived promptly, where we were seated without delay. The restaurant was quite busy, and our server, who may have been one of the owners, appeared to be a bit fatigued, which is understandable given their thirty years of service. The food was enjoyable, and while we are considering returning, we are also interested in trying some other Thai restaurants that are more conveniently located and offer better parking options. It was evident that Karuna's serves as a popular neighborhood spot, with numerous takeout orders being handled during our visit. If you're in the neighborhood and craving Thai food, I highly recommend checking them out. Most of us enjoyed their Pad Thai, with some opting for chicken and others for shrimp. We also shared some spring rolls, which were quite tasty! However, I want to mention that it was a bit surprising to receive spring rolls that weren't cut in half, especially since we didn't have any knives at the table. It could be a small change that would make the experience even better for everyone.

The rice noodles with scallion oil came with onions wrapped in beef and grilled, something we had never tried before but were just as good as it sounds. The pho broth also clearly had been simmering for hours. It was dark and rich in flavor while the veggies were still crisp and fresh. We were almost immediately seated at the table in the back of the restaurant to the left as you walk in at the table between the wall and the cut out in the wall that opened into the kitchen. The table being behind the wall was just a nice little private area and the wall really helped canceling some of the noise so we really enjoyed where we were seated. Handed menus and left us to see what we wanted. The server came back shortly and took our drink order and went off to fill that while we continued to study the menu, but she' shortly returned to get our lunch order. We got one order of the number eight Fried eggroll appetizer and wifey got the number one bowl of pho while I got the number 47 beef chicken and shrimp stirfry over egg noodles. It was funny that the server then asked us if we wanted one check or two checks. I don't know exactly why she asked that but her English wasn't terribly good. Of course, my Vietnamese isn't any better. But we eventually figured out that she was just curious as to whether we really wanted one or two checks. So I told her we would just take one check for lunch today. After a few minutes, a lady who we believe was the owner brought us out our plate of egg rolls with all of the sides on the plate and I have to tell you that the egg rolls were absolutely delicious and I really enjoyed them. A few minutes later, our server brought out first the bowl of pho for my wife, and then quickly followed with my plate of stirfry. The food was quite good. The service was fast and efficient and I was happy to say that we really enjoyed our lunch here this afternoon and we look forward to coming back again.

There are also some pictures of the dishes above the main counter to see what you might be ordering. The staff was very friendly and helpful when placing the order. We started with eggrolls which were more like Chinese Spring Rolls. Their spring rolls are much different and Thai style using the clear wrap and not fried. My brother had the chicken curry while I had the seafood curry and mom had the shrimp with lobster sauce. The rice arrives as a large scoop in a separate bowl while the main dish is in another bowl. They're easily mixed on the plate. The seafood curry was very tasty and not too spicy. It came with shrimp, salmon and mussels along with peppers and onions. The shrimp with lobster sauce was too much for mom so we took it home. The staff offered a box of fried rice to take home as well at no extra cost. Most dishes cost around $12-$18. I was glad we made the right choice for lunch.
