My favorite place to go for Vietnamese dishes! Delicious home made Pho and Spring Rolls that are made to order. The dishes taste so great that it's my weekly place to go for meals. Service is fast and the place is clean and area is big.
Staff was friendly and helpful. They have a big menu. Located inside or directly outside of Lee Lees grocery store. Good food the pho bowls were a nice serving size. The broth was good. My husband had the number nine with shrimp and I had the pho with shrimp, calamari, fish. It came with a lot of fish and calamari. I think it was number 12. We also had the spring roll but requested no pork and that was good too my husband like that sauce on it better than some other places, it wasn't a traditional peanut sauce.
This restaurant really speaks to what family and generational recipes can do for a restaurant. When we walked in after shopping at the international market next door, we were seated right away. There are several different condiments, extra napkins, and utensils already on the table for your convenience. Our food arrived quickly and both items had such depth of flavor! The rice noodles with scallion oil came with onions wrapped in beef and grilled, something we had never tried before but were just as good as it sounds. The pho broth also clearly had been simmering for hours. It was dark and rich in flavor while the veggies were still crisp and fresh. For living in central Tucson, this place is definitely worth the 20 minute drive!
After about two years we were, again, at Lee Lees for some shopping. Afterwards we came here for a late lunch and to see how things were going. We were almost immediately seated at the table in the back of the restaurant to the left as you walk in at the table between the wall and the cut out in the wall that opened into the kitchen. The table being behind the wall was just a nice little private area and the wall really helped canceling some of the noise so we really enjoyed where we were seated. Handed menus and left us to see what we wanted. The server came back shortly and took our drink order and went off to fill that while we continued to study the menu, but she' shortly returned to get our lunch order. We got one order of the number eight Fried eggroll appetizer and wifey got the number one bowl of pho while I got the number 47 beef chicken and shrimp stirfry over egg noodles. It was funny that the server then asked us if we wanted one check or two checks. I don't know exactly why she asked that but her English wasn't terribly good. Of course, my Vietnamese isn't any better. But we eventually figured out that she was just curious as to whether we really wanted one or two checks. So I told her we would just take one check for lunch today. After a few minutes, a lady who we believe was the owner brought us out our plate of egg rolls with all of the sides on the plate and I have to tell you that the egg rolls were absolutely delicious and I really enjoyed them. A few minutes later, our server brought out first the bowl of pho for my wife, and then quickly followed with my plate of stirfry. The food was quite good. The service was fast and efficient and I was happy to say that we really enjoyed our lunch here this afternoon and we look forward to coming back again.
Ordering the classic Pho Dac Biet with everything beef together including meats, meats balls and others... with cilantro and beef bone broth... plus rice noodles rolls with pork n shrimp with dipping sauce of peanuts... Tasty n delicious and make a good choice for brunch in Vietnamese pho noodles... Place were clean enough and busy on the weekends..
I've tried this place once before and I was really happy the last time I got it ; there's one person taking care of all the tables and it's an older man. He's probably about 90 years old and still getting around, God bless him. But if you need something, you have to make sure that you say everything that you need otherwise you may not be visited at your table again. Their prices have REALLY risen, not too surprising with everything in our world going up in price. I always like to try several things so I jumped into the soft shrimp rolls, The peanut sauce it was served with was warm and just really tasty. Had a beautiful presentation. Lots of crushed peanuts on top, which i loved. After reading the reviews, everyone was raving about them, and I absolutely agree. They are fantastically flavorful! I love when you bite into the role how crunchy it is because the lettuce is so crisp! I think mine had a piece of a eggroll accidentally rolled into it because it had some crunch which I've never seen. I don't mind. It was just kind of a funny surprise. I ended up ordering the eggrolls also (which are also known as cha gio) I ordered two probably because I'm addicted to them, but I don't wanna eat them if they don't have all the veggies that come along side them, which includes Romaine, mint, and usually daikon or carrot with the most delicious fish sauce. Again, if it doesn't have fish sauce, I don't want it! After placing the order for only two I got them naked!! The rice paper they must use for the rolls is different from what I've seen in the past because they were really fried to a crisp. I ended up having to place an order for the entire quantity of five ( $11.99 )in order to get my vegetables and fish sauce. I guess it's worth it. I'll be eating it for the next couple days. I got my usual Com Tam Thit Nguog and it was DEVIIIIINNNNEEEE! The best was so soft, slightly sweet bbq, mildly seasoned to perfection! Then it came out somewhat usual, but there were some additional things on it. I think it's chicken. Oh, it's the shrimp bean paste! Mystery solved! Tasty mystery! They also give a side of soup, which if that is the base to any of the PHO soups, I highly recommend!!!! This was scrumptious!!! I definitely will be for pickup next time!
The spring rolls were great! Fried egg rolls w lettuce wraps was delish. We tried a 10 pc platter that had the most delish shrimp egg rolls. I went back again. Had more spring rolls. And ordered a seafood noodle stir fry (it was just ok). The owner is really nice. Sh stops you from ordering too much. She has a good heart.
I'm not sure how I never knew about this place. It's next to Lee Lee Market Orange Grove and La Cholla. Walking in, the place is well lit and looked clean. We were greeted immediately and seated. The greeter gave us menus, then came back about 5 minutes later with water and to take our order. We were no where ready to order (the menu is huge). Another server came back and took our order: spring rolls, shrimp Pho (for me) ad shrimp with vermicelli (for friend). The spring rolls were served with a peanut sauce and were huge and delicious. My Pho had a lot a shrimp in it and the side serving of bean sprouts, basil, lime and jalapeños was just the right amount. The Pho had the perfect ratio of broth to noodles and shrimp. Friend's shrimp (it's a cold salad) was delicious and was served with fish sauce. I'm looking forward to returning to Com Tam.
I have come here tons of times in the last 10 years and have never been let down! Absolutely the best Vietnamese food in the Tucson area. If you don't know what to try... Try the spring rolls, pork, fried egg rolls, or any of the vermicelli dishes
I had really high hopes for this restaurant because it's often very busy, has an authentic ambiance and smells good. Unfortunately my pho broth was so salty with little additional flavor. The way I judge the quality of pho is by first sipping the broth. It was so salty and not at all the classic depth and savory flavors I associate with pho. It was extremely disappointing. The rolls were delicious at least. There's a few Vietnamese places in town so I'm glad this exists for others but it's not one I plan to return to any time soon.

The elderly gentleman that was serving amazed me at how much he was able to do, he looked at least 80. We started with #2, shrimp and pork spring rolls. The perfect summer food, very light and fresh. I had #77 with beef and it was the best bun I've ever had. The beef was tender and a tad sweet, very very flavorful. I loved the shrimp egg rolls that came with it. My friend had the pho and it was delicious. Every single table had at least one bowl of it. Keep scrolling past the negative reviews. This place is a gem. I can't wait to return.
Each of us got something different. We got Pho ($13.99), broken rice dish ($13.99) and clear noodle soup ($12.99). The pho broth was bland and very little meat. The clear noodle soup broth was decent and clean, had shrimp and meat. The broken rice dish is what they are known for but the bbq meat was really chewy and didn't have the char taste, it was rubbery. For the price, I can't complain but the quality was not there. I guess that's what attracted a lot of working people during lunch, saw mainly construction workers. Plenty of parking in this plaza. The restroom is inside the super market, walk through the double doors.
Was in the area on a business trip, and found this place on yelp. Ordered the pho dac biet and an order of shrimp spring rolls. Soup for the dac biet was a bit on the lighter side, but there were plenty of ingredients and lots of pho noodles. The shrimp spring rolls were HUGE, and it paired perfectly with the provide peanut sauce. Good service and good pricing considering the area. However the restaurant is a bit hidden in the corner of the plaza, but can also be accessed through the next door Asian supermarket (Lee Lee International Supermarket). Worth checking it out when in the area. Come and support your local small businesses! read more

This was easily one of the worst bowls of pho I've had. It looked like pho and smelled vaguely like pho, but whatever was happening once I tasted it was something else entirely. I understand that options for truly authentic pho in Tucson are limited, so I wasn't expecting perfection. I was simply hoping for something average. Unfortunately, this wasn't even close, especially if you've had good pho before. The broth was the biggest problem. It lacked the depth, balance, and aromatic richness you expect from a good pho broth, and it left behind a strange, aftertaste that made the entire bowl difficult to enjoy. We also ordered the spring rolls, which didn't fare much better. After one bite, neither of us had any interest in finishing them. The one real advantage is the location, since it's connected to Lee Lee International Supermarket, which is itself a decent market and makes the restaurant convenient if you're already shopping there. Unfortunately, convenience is about the only thing good about this place. read more
My favorite Vietnamese food in Tucson in terms of the food itself. My favorites here: #16 Seasoned Julienned taro root with vermicelli noodles, pickled daikon and the typical vietnamese herbs etc and sweet soy sauce. It comes with fried tofu typically but they let you exchange the tofu with a couple of their delicious vietnamese crispy rice paper egg rolls that are stuffed with deliciously seasoned tofu (#14 on the menu) and that's my favorite way to order it. Mixing all of it together is heaven. This is by far my favorite here! I find that I generally really like taro- all parts of the plant! The root as served in this restaurant and in Thai desserts, the leaves in filipino laing and the stalk (elephant ear stalk) in vietnamese Canh Chua soup. #20 Fried rice noodles dish (ask for the crispy option!) . This one became quite expensive recently but when I had it in the past it was delicious. Definitely get the crispy version! #14: Those vietnamese crispy rice paper egg rolls that are stuffed with deliciously seasoned tofu are so good. They let you get them a la carte but the full plate comes with the sauce and herbs. I get them as part of #16 as described above so it has the sauce and herbs in that dish as well. I really love that they have a vegetarian and vegan menu and that they have the vegan sweet soy sauce available in place of fish sauce for that menu. The restaurant is attached to Lee Lee international supermarket which is an absolute must visit in my opinion for international food lovers and people who want to learn about world cuisines. It's a great place to find international ingredients that are not easily found elsewhere. My general rating system: 1 star: I would stay away 2 stars: Has some good things about it but I generally don't recommend. 3 stars: Pretty good. I wouldn't go out of my way to go back but a decent place 4 stars: Great place. I would go back. 5 stars: I highly recommend stopping whatever you are doing and making plans to try it out! Just moved to tucson so i was excited because i was a regular at the com tam thuan kieu in phoenix. my dish came out with a pork chop the size of two of my thumb. when i asked them to replace it the employees just stood there and said the other pork chops were the same size....never coming back! read more

The food is pretty tasty, well seasoned, but maybe salty for the average American not used to a more authentic homestyle Pho dish. The fresh spring roll is quite big which is great and tasty but I didn't really like the peanut sauce. Overall I rated it 4 stars. The service was fast and servers were very friendly and attentive, the food portions are good read more

The name on the sign outside is not the same as shown here or anywhere else. The website looks very professional and delicious, yet the annoying advertising that plagues it is a 100% distraction. The food was authentic and good but I've had better. Usually the pho is served with plenty of fresh basil, lime etc but here I got a scant portion. Don't get me wrong it was good but not great. The depth of flavor was just shallow. I think we should return to try other traditional dishes before passing judgement. Right next door is Lee-Lee Market and I'll be shopping there soon. I showed up shortly after 11am to place a take-out order. I think it took about 20 minutes for my order to be fulfilled. All the components to my bun were fresh and everything tasted as it should. The grilled meat was flavorful, but a little bit overcooked. I loved the fried spring rolls, I only wished they were bigger and more than two. My next visit, I'll place a side order. There was a slight language barrier, but nothing serious. They're nice people and try to be as accommodating as possible. The restaurant appeared clean. You can either enter from the parking lot or through Lee Lee's store. read more

First time ordering takeout, the website menu numbers don't match the current menu numbers! Made ordering more difficult. Thuan Kieu ("Thank you") is our favorite Pho restaurant and the service is always fast and the food is always delicious. I have taken pictures of the current menu with 2025 prices. read more

Fast service, good food and priced just right. Not a fancy restaurant, but I come here whenever I do my shopping at Lee Lee's International Market. Restaurant is attached to the market, they actually have a door leading to the market place itself. Their pho is really good, compared to other places. read more

Tired of the usual Asian meal (for me it's orange chicken concoctions with fried rice and needles) we decided on something different (same neighborhood, different house). We went with Vietnamese. The diner was clean, the servers had that Mom-and-Pop feel that I liked and the menu was intriguing. I went with #77 and my wife had the #79. One was geared toward grilled chicken, the other was pork and egg roll centric. The bowls were big (#leftovers) and the various meats and noodles were tasty as all get out. Granted, we live 4 hours away but a return trip when in the neighborhood next is a firm "go!" read more

Whenever I shop at Lee Lee's, I consider going to Com Tam Thuan Kieu. My favorite dish is the pork sausage spring rolls (#3). The spring rolls are delicious, and each includes a large pork sausage and crispy fried wonton dipped in savory peanut sauce. Another dish I frequently order is the rice vermicelli patty plate (#81), which has an excellent variety of food items. I particularly enjoy the crispy pork egg rolls and shrimp paste wrapped in tofu skin. If I feel like a refreshing treat, the chè is an iced assortment of fruit, jellies, and sweetened beans in creamy coconut milk. Although the food is excellent here, the service is no-frills and lacks warmth. Sometimes, I do not receive a greeting, and servers drop off food without saying a word. Despite the service, I enjoy this restaurant because of the authentic Vietnamese dishes. read more
Attentive service and smells good! Got number 30. One small pork chop, small shrimp paste cake in tofu. Both tasted good. The pork/egg cake tasted warmed over and after tiny taste, I didn't eat it. Was disappointed that the pickled cabbage was and end piece and had very obvious mold on it!! 13.99 was price. Also had Vietnamese iced coffee. Overall, after seeing reviews I expected my meal would be better than it was. It was okay but paying over Twenty dollars for lunch was steep for what I got. If there had been two pieces of pork chop I would have been more statisfied. Came with complimentary small soup that was tasty but seemed to be because of lots of MSG. Had small bits of cilantro and a piece of meat. read more

The jalapeños have no flavor and the soup broth tastes like it came out of a can. This restaurant was a huge disappointment and I do not recommend it. read more

This is one of the best Pho places in all of Arizona! Big bowls of pho and for a reasonable price! The ladies who work there are very welcoming and straight forward. I always recommend this place to all my friends and family. read more

Yes, this soup base is for a dish called "hu thieu" which is a noodle soup. You can order it as a soup entree.
