Came here after getting some good pickleball games in at Udall so I was hungry! I am so glad my friends brought me to this place because everything I ate was excellent. We had garden rolls, garlic shrimp and Bun combo. Everything tasted fresh and bun was one of the best I've ever had! Staffs are super friendly and welcoming. Food came out fast and I love the homey ambience. I was so hungry I forgot to take pictures read more

I love takeout from here on my lazy days. However, Last night we stopped in for a quick dinner after a busy work day. The food came fast and the service was excellent as usual. The owners and/or their kids are usually here. The owners always come up for a chat and to make everything tastes great. They keep the place very clean. I usually order their House Special Pho but today I got Com Tam beef which was very flavorful read more

Recently went to Ha Long Bay on a weekend morning and had a great experience! We were the only customers at first, so we got seated right away and our food came out quickly, though customers started to trickle in shortly after. I ordered the Pho Ha Long Bay Special, the combination pho, and it was delicious. The broth was deep and flavorful, perfect for a cold day, the noodles were perfectly chewy, and they didn't include many green toppings, which is how I prefer it. However, despite it being the combo bowl, the portion felt a bit small, especially since there was very little tendon or tripe even though the dish cost extra. Portion size aside, the customer service was friendly and had a warm, family-like feel. I'm happy to have found a local Vietnamese restaurant and would gladly come back again! read more

We have been coming here since 2010ish and have never been disappointed. The service is great and the food...oh my! They are careful with to-go orders so that your backseat never ends up covered in soup. I have reviewed here on Yelp before and I just want to say that it is a wonderful as it was then! read more

I have to judge this place knowing that I live next to Little Saigon in California. Unfortunately nothing really stands out, but it is decent Vietnamese food in a land where there isn't much Vietnamese food to begin with. The crispy tofu appetizer was really good. One of the top 2 dishes of the night. The Bun Bo Hue was kind of a let down. Definitely geared to a clientele that doesn't like hocks or other cuts of 'exotic' meat. The broth was decent, but not authentic. But just bo vien, brisket, and steak to me, isn't bun no hue. Was also missing red cabbage as a topping, and they used pho noodles. The Bo Luc Lac was just OK. A tad on the dry side, however flavor was decent. Saving grace was the crispy fried noodle. Though a bit more protein would be nice over celery/carrots/bamboo. This was the best item we had. Pho looked ok. My family liked it, however I'm not a big tofu/vegetable pho guy. All in all this is my brother's family's favorite place to get Vietnamese food, and my search on Yelp really doesn't yield anything else. I know I'll be returning, so I'm just hoping to find dishes that I really like, even if it means I gotta try their 'Chinese' style dishes. read more

I enjoy their vietnamese hot and sour soup (it's more of sweet and sour- Canh Chua) the broth is vegetarian and vegan by default so when ordered with tofu it's a vegetarian and vegan dish. It comes with rice noodles on the side. The tofu is not fried and they charge an extra dollar to serve it with fried tofu. It has elephant ear stalk plant , bac ha, a type of taro stem, in it like traditional Canh Chua which I love. read more

I love this place! I have come here twice for their summer rolls. They normally have pork and shrimp in them but they're willing to make them without pork. That means they're made fresh! I went to another place in town where they were served still slightly fro:zen. Not here! Prices are good. The place is cute and very clean, and all the staff is incredibly friendly. read more

I love Asian food and have eaten out at many of the better Japanese, Korean, Thai, Chinese and Vietnamese restaurants in Tucson. Ha Long Bay, where I have been a regular customer now for many years, stands above the rest IMO. Its shrimp, beef, chicken and pork dishes are creative and uniformly excellent. The service is professional and friendly. The owners are good people who care about their customers. If I could eat out at only one Tucson restaurant this would be my choice. read more

Delicious and authentic! We visited for a late dinner, near closing. The server was one of the kindest encounters we've had, and she was also helpful with recommendations. Definitely want to start by recommending the pho! We ordered a cup on the side and wow, so flavorful, I can only imagine what the full pho is like. I look forward to ordering this again. Of note, if you like the bean sprouts, jalapeño, and mint, the cup doesn't include it so you'll have to order separately. My other favorite thing was the peanut sauce for the garden rolls. We ended up adding it to our noodle dish as well. The meals were great, and very filling. Make sure to save room for dessert. The banana tempura was so yummy, and they use real cream for their whipped cream which in my opinion is just so much better. read more

I was looking forward to this lunch but was disappointed by the unflavorful food. The pho broth was uncharacteristically sweet. The lemongrass pork bun and iced Vietnamese coffee were OK. The fresh shrimp rolls were mostly noodles and iceberg lettuce. Fortunately, the peanut sauce redeemed the rolls. I should've left when I didn't see any Vietnamese people dining there. Definitely not authentic. read more

We stopped by here for lunch. The food is good, the soups have excellent flavor. The Thai tea was good however the boba was very mushy and not good so I do not recommend the boba in the Thai tea - just get the tea by itself. I was disappointed about the lack of changing stations in both bathrooms- what are customers with babies supposed to do? I hope in the future they read this review and consider installing Koala Kare to help parents put. read more

Wanted to try a different spot (should just stick with Com Tam). This spot is great (in service) but that's about all that it's got going for. This is what I would consider "Americanized" pho. Nothing wrong with that if you like the flavor. Just doesn't do it for me. And like other reviews already mentioned, there isn't much taste. It's almost like you have to mix it with something (for example, Summer rolls, the peanut sauce is good) I always add hot sauce to the mix. The pho (I got the #12, supposed to be their signature pho) I don't even know where to begin. Portion size is small, like they used a shrink gun on all the ingredients. From the tiny meatballs, to the super thin sliced meat. I would consider their "normal" size is more like extra small. Even the veggies (bean sprouts, etc.) are served on a small and tiny plate. I'm surprised they didn't give you a tiny fork to go with the bowl (And yes you have to ask for chopsticks) As for the ambiance, it's nicely decorated. Especially the booth tables, very unique. The other plus (if you can call it that) is their super giant custom menu. Seems like they spent most of their investments in decorations instead on the food which is more important IMO. read more

The food is incredible!!! So flavorful and the portions are huge!!! The way to-go orders are prepared is wonderful, as nothing gets soggy. The broth for the pho is beyond compare. The accoutrements for all of the dishes just makes the dining experience better. I can't wait to go back!!! read more

I have been going here since 2022. You cannot beat the food and the prices. Never had a bad experience. The PHO is to die for and I always order it. They always include a fresh lemon into your water which is a nice gesture. Their summer rolls and peanut sauce is amazing. Plus, the waitress and the staff are always accommodating and nice. PS: when this restaurant always has local people who come 1-3 times a week to eat, then the place is probably very very good. Plus they got recognition in newspapers and on an instagram food blog post. MUST TRY read more

A revisit says that it's as good as when we first went. I really like their tofu dishes, and had fried tofu with peanut sauce. It was enough for two meals. Service is good and the food doesn't come too fast, indicating that it's pre-cooked. It's not necessarily inexpensive but tasted fresh and great. Recommended. A bit noisy, but a great time. read more

What a wonderful restaurant! As soon as I walked in I was transformed back to Vietnam by the paintings on the wall of Ha Long Bay. What a great ambiance I felt like this was the place for authentic food. The service was fantastic. Things were explained to my friends that weren't familiar with the menu. I ordered a Thai Tea with boba and it was fantastic. The tea wasn't overly sweet which was greatly appreciated. We all ordered a version of the bun noodles. I had chicken and they had vegetables and tofu. It came out with the sauce seasoning on the side. We could also spice it up if needed with chili sauce, siracha or hoisin sauce. The lunch portion was a perfect size and the taste was a work deal combination of flavors that melded so well in your mouth. We didn't do dessert but I may have to leave room next time and see if they have mango sticky rice. I will definitely be coming back! read more

It seems to be getting harder to find a good Vietnamese restaurant, one of my favorite foods. We went to the Ha Long Bay partly because we have been there on a cruise to Viet Nam and partly because of ratings. The atmosphere is very nice and the service was great. The food was delicious and presented well. The only single drawback is that Ha Long Bay is nearly 40 miles from home. I'm sure we'll buck up and make the trek again. First time trying Ha Long Bay, I've lived near it for years and finally decided to try it! It was absolutely phenomenal. the broth was a bit sweet but so full of flavor and the lime and jalapeño balanced it out really well. it was perfectly packaged for take out and generous with the servings! we also got the com tom chicken and it had a light calming flavor that wasn't too overwhelming. overall beyond satisfied with this purchase :) Amazing food I can see why they're still open! read more

I have no idea why this restaurant is well rated. It was the worst food I ever had. The Vietnamese coffee was great; the hot and sour soup tasted like dishwater. Ingredients straight from a can. Other dishes were almost as bad. read more

I'm so disappointed in myself for not writing this review sooner... I absolutely recommend this business to everyone! Ha Long Bay is one of those places where you can order anything and it will be delicious. I've been going here since they were at their original location at Broadway and Wilmot. So I've been going here for several years now and can honestly say I've never had a bad meal. It's always been clean and the staff has always been on point too.
