    Soft opening
    Erick D.

We were invited to the soft opening of SEOUL + SHI, owned by the same amazing folks behind Kotu (one of my favorite Korean BBQ spots). We weren't sure what to expect, but it was absolutely fantastic! We got to sample a generous selection from their menu, and everything was delicious. The sushi was incredibly fresh with beautiful presentation. The tofu soup was a standout, my friends loved it! It comes out sizzling hot, so be careful and let it cool for a few minutes before digging in. The restaurant is just a few doors down from Dickman's Meats on Oracle. For a soft opening, the place ran like a well-oiled machine. The space is open and clean, and the sushi bar tucked in the back corner adds a nice touch. I'm already looking forward to coming back soon. Definitely make an effort to try them out, you won't be disappointed!

Great food, great service, bright and airy. Been here over 5 times and and have never been disappointed. I highly recommend the hwedupbab which is like Korean poke salad, seafood pancake and seafood soup

Seoul+Shi is great. Friendly staff, amazing food, and fresh fish. It's really nice to have a choice between hot Korean dishes, grilled seafood, cold seafood, and sushi. Everything was fresh and delicious. The staff were friendly and helpful offering suggestions and explaining dishes.

Nice new restaurant. We enjoyed the Japchae a lot. We also had spicy pork bulgogi which was tasty but not very spicy. I had the Eel Dupbap: a fusion dish with eel on rice. It was quite tasty. Overall the meal was quite expensive but it was very good.

Wow, definitely a fan. Everything we had was delish! Chao Chao roll, Tokyo Roll, spicy chicken (we asked for extra spicy), & bulgolgi. Chicken and bulgolgi were so tender. Great service as well.

Omg! A wonderful dinner with well seasoned and flavored dishes. Our orders tonight included the seafood pancake, the spicy pork bulgogi, Tiger roll and the spicy braised black cod. While they are known for their sushi... the braised black cod entree was the table favorite as I have not had cod flavored and tasted so delicious before (or for that matter radishes served with the cod that have tasted so good). Of note, the cod does have bones ... which I gladly picked out. Added bonus were the complimentary soup and salad that come with entrees... my dining partner does not do salad but ended up wiping clean their salad plate. We enjoy dining at their sister restaurant Kotu... but we appreciated how the same dishes were seasoned differently (ex pork bulgogi or the fish cakes) as well as options for a whole new menu to explore. Service was attentive. The space was sleek and cozy. Lots of parking available. Definitely will return to try out more of the menu... however our big challenge is the future is having to pick between the two restaurants as they both have such delicious food!

Our first time at Seoul+Shi and we will be back. We had the Chao Chao roll, beef bulgogi, japjae, calamari, and the banchan that came with it. The beef bulgogi was melt in your mouth, the roll was incredible, the calamari was a regret. The breading looked like an onion ring, and it was like chewing on a car tire. So get everything else, except that. The service was fairly quick, and the appetizers did not come out first. Our server was super nice, and seemed knowledgeable about the menu. Great date night spot.

Now open! Korean & sushi in one spot! I opted for the Japchae (my fav) to share and Spicy Pork Bulgogi. Both were good. My partner tried the Eel Dupbap (nice eel but not a lot of veg or rice).

Our waiter Andy B suggested this delicious halibut nigiri plate and it did not disappoint! Everything was fresh, delish, and beautiful. They ran out of the spicy chicken after we ordered, but Andy took care of it. He offered us a complimentary desert for the inconvenience - the kind of service you don't always get! We thoroughly enjoyed our date night meal and left happy and full. Thank you Seoul+Shi and Andy!

    Inside out rainbow roll

I decided to give this place a try since it was open late (a big plus for Tucson) and they also own Kogu BBQ which I love. Since we went in at 8:30 it was definitely quiet. There were two other people at the sushi bar finishing up and we were seated at a booth. Everything is clean and fresh and inviting. The waitress welcomed us and explained to us that a few items were not available and they were not all branded yet since they are waiting for more merchandise to come in so the Kogu logo was on their shirts. She took our order and brought us some kimchi, marinated cucumbers and fish cakes. All were so fresh and delicious. We ordered an inside out rainbow roll and a sweet salmon roll. The sweet salmon roll stole the show. It was so unique and delicious, especially with the combination of fresh mango, and a mango and eel sauce finish. We never felt rushed like they wanted to close early or anything like that. They have standard sushi and sashimi or their specialty rolls. Next time I would like to try some soups as well. Great job!!!

Seafood is fresh, great service! Amanda is amazing! We'll be back to try more food next time!

I'm Korean and travel back and forth to Korea often, and I absolutely love exploring good restaurants. I can confidently say that Seoul + Shi is recognized as a great Korean restaurant not only in Arizona, but even by Korean communities. All the ingredients are incredibly fresh, and I especially recommend the sashimi, sushi, and oysters-- they're outstanding. And honestly, you can't go wrong with any of the Korean dishes here; everything is delicious. If you're in Arizona and want to truly experience the taste of Korea, this is the place to go!

As we began to look,(basically, we just did a google search) , Wings and Rice showed up on our, "food radar" . After noting the high number of 5-star ratings that were consistently being given to WINGS & RICE by my fellow Tucsonians, my wife asked if I would stop by and grab some wings to bring home to share with our honored guests. Upon arriving home, the wings were quickly decimated by our guests. The fact that they were gobbled up so fast and raved about, is probably the best and most-honest evidence that the numerous five-stars ratings given to WINGS & RICE are "spot-on" in their assessments. The place is "kind-of unassuming"--as it sits on the south-east corner of Pima and Craycroft in Tucson. Despite the fact that I have passed it numerous times-- wondering about it, and even considered giving it a go, I ultimately have never stopped in. Shame on me, as i we came to really enjoy the food here! This does then beg the question... "How many other hidden gems like this have I been passing by?" But then, in the bigger view of it all, isn't this the primary reason that YELP exists?! I think YELP got its name from the sound a dog makes after being kicked--which is what should have happened to me for passing this place so many times. ( *That origin story is not true--I just made that up for comedic effect.) So anyways, in my humble opinion (*for what that is worth), the place is the culinary equivalent of Duncan the Tall--a simple, but honorable hedge-knight in the HBO series, "A Knight of the 7 Kingdoms." (It's not my place to recommend TV shows here, but this one is a good 'un). And, if you are thinking that my saying this restaurant is like a lowly knight roaming the country-side seeking justice and honor is a criticism against W&R, you are so-so-so wrong! My comparison is intended as a compliment in the highest of regards. For, like Dunk, this place embodies the true ideals of what it means to serve. WINGS & RICE does not adorn itself with fancy-pantsy decorations and art. Instead, it strives to modestly, and without "pomp and circumstance" follow the noble ideals of serving up high quality and tasty chow (at reasonable prices) to the tired, huddled masses--yearning to breath free and fill their bellies. So, my lords and me ladies, pray, allow me to express my final thoughts on the matter of sustenance and refined beverages that can be had-ith at WINGS and RICE... If one be-ith in the moodith for-ith some tastely victuals, this be-ith the place. I probably just lost all shreds of any "street cred" that I may have had-- with my, "playing the fool" by comparing the W&R to a character in a show. (*not to mention my attempt to use the language of the middle ages and falling short). Despite all that, don't pass this place up. It really is, "the good stuff". Make yee way, post-haste and full-tilt to-ith WINGS & RICE!!! Anon! Post script. We opted for the buffalo wings and the lemon and pepper wing flavors from their menu. The lemon and pepper offerings went first and were demolished in seconds...but the buffalo flavored ones did not last long either. Our guests nearly came to "unshielded swords" over who would get the last of these tasty morsels of delectable meats. *And, an added bonus was the side of rice, which, while I was waiting for my order to be completed, I over-heard two different patrons rave about. Cah-ching! They were not wrong... "food-ith of the gods" were those starchy seasoned soft and sticky white grains of heaven--bathing in spicy buttery flavor!
