    Spicy pork bulgogi

I have tried all the Korean Restaurants on the East Side of Tucson except Gen a d Korean House is the best by far. We got the Spicy Pork Bulgogi and the meat was super tender, juicy and not dried out. The portions were great and the service superb. The restaurant is quaint with lovely Korean decor. Plenty of seating and even offers private party booths.

First time trying Korea House and I'll be back for sure! Saturday night dinner and they were attentive and quick with service. Got the Rabokki medium and no complaints. Priced fairly, delicious food, good portion sizes! All servers were pretty knowledgeable about menu items as well.

My son was craving traditional Korean cuisine. I had to rely on Yelp to help guide me for some legit Korean food here in Tucson. As we pulled up to the parking lot we can tell this restaurant has been here for a long time. Decor is not much but it's always about the actual food for me. Lots of T.V. screens playing K-Drama shows. Here is what we ordered: - Bean Paste Stew - Hot Stone Bowl Bibimbap - Samayeopsal We all enjoyed our meal. We can tell it was made with love. When we finished, the chef came by to ask how we enjoyed our meal. This family owned business has been opened for 3 decades. Originally from Seoul, Korea, the owner moved to Kansas before settling in Tucson. I really appreciate her sharing her story with us. So if you want good Korean food, I highly recommend this place.

Second & Third visit was so excellent, the wife insisted we get T-Shirts !!! Now that is GOOD

Since first visit, the family has visited several more as the experience and the food keeps getting better. It is our go to for when the wife (who is Korean) is feeling the urge for good authentic Korean food. Family owned & operated (3rd Generation), and the pride is shown in the quality of the food, the environment and the service. It can be a family outing or date night- the atmosphere is there for both. Wife loves it so much, she insisted we get t-shirts. This has only happened twice so it has to be good.

First time trying this place. Small restaurant, place lacks decor. Person who greeted us is not very friendly, thank goodness she was not our server. The server we had was very nice, friendly and accommodating. We were hete because of my cravings. I love soups and I love the Korean Spicy Beef Soup, I saw it on their menu, that's why I need to come check this place out. And I was not disappointed. Hubby ordered Beef Kalbi and loved it! There's still a lot to try from the menu, but I have to save some room for dessert. I ordered the Korean shaved ice with red bean. It's good and they give you a lot. Definitely coming back.

I'm so grateful that this place was recommended to me. I was not sure what to expect, but I LOVED this place. It has a little hole in the wall type feel. The staff were all so nice and the food was amazing! I have been wanting to try jajangmyeon for forever and it was incredible. I could drink of bowl of that black bean sauce. We also got some kimchi soup which was also delicious. I'm pretty sure I'll make this a go to spot from now on.

I really enjoyed this place! We came here for my birthday dinner and everyone was welcoming, the food was hot and delicious, and they were really knowledgeable about different sojus and walked us through all of their offerings. I've never had Rabokki before this, but it was the perfect blend of sweet and savory!

I ordered take out here on Friday night and it was so seamless and easy which I appreciated. The staff on the phone was friendly, and answered all my questions happily. When I got there, I saw the inside has been updated since I was last here. That was a welcome surprise. They have a small dinning room with tables that seemed close together, and private like rooms as well along the side. The bathroom was clean but out of paper towels. I ordered the pork bulgogi combo #5 & the pork kalbi ribs. The combo looked great and was a good portion of food. The ribs were good, a little saucier than I'd like, and REALLY spicy, which somehow I'd missed in the description. The sides that came with it (cucumber, kimchi, sprouts) were really good but not a good portion for 2 peoples meals. I asked about it at pickup and she told me it was 1 per order.. seemed stingy to me for the good price you're paying. I paid $45 for the two orders.

Our favorites were the kalbi ribs, bulgogi, and spicy pork belly. We also grilled veggies. They have great banchan (small side dishes) that are refilled at request. We love the kimchi, fish cake, Tteokbokki, japchae (glass noodle), salad, pickled cucumbers in chili sauce were all delicious! For some reason they give you a seasoned salt and sriracha for dipping. You have to request ssamjang (korean bean paste mixed with gochjang (mild sweet chili paste) and other seasonings, which is a standard dip at KBBQs. Be sure to ask! The ingredients are fresh, and meat cuts are quality. Price for all you can eat is very reasonable. The doenjang-jjigae (fermented bean stew) and steamed egg are our favorites! You have to order these, they don't automatically serve. Service is friendly and great!

I was a bit excited to try this. However, I understand now why it's the "best of Tucson". It's because it's literally the ONLY kbbq spot in Tucson. So extremely low bar. I have no idea how this place has so many positive reviews. I was not impressed for the amount of money. 40$/person is insane. I don't understand the menu at all. Why is it 40 for standard but if you want the good meet it jumps 10$ per person? I have never been to a kbbq like that. Let's start the review. -jap Chae was overcooked and way too much sesame oil -fish cakes were too sweet -kimchi was too bitter -corn cheese had too much cream or something. It tastes like a paste. -Ssamjang is extremely weird. It was liquidy. Ssamjang is not supposed to be liquid like since it is a fermented soy PASTE. It was not the right color and did not taste like Ssamjang. Ssamjang is usually a deeper color like a burnt sienna than whatever orange thing they gave me. -grill temp was all over the place -portion sizes were not good Full disclosure. I am Korean. I grew up eating Korean food and being surrounded by Korean culture. The japchae had too much sesame oil. If I can distinctly taste the sesame oil there's way too much. The fish cakes had too much sugar. The portion sizes I thought were small for kbbq. Maybe get two servings out of one order. Also when the grill was initially turned on, it was so hot that our first round of meat pretty much instantly burned due to temperature and the meats were thin. Thank goodness the staff didn't charge us for the left over burnt meat. I'm serious it was CRUNCHY. Also personal take here. At this restaurant I didn't see any Asians on the staff. At kbbq usually you see Asians or Koreans working. I saw no Asians working. So I thought to myself if a Korean speaking person came here the would be in trouble unless the knew English very well. I'm a little concerned about if the owner is even Korean? You might not think it matters but it does. They know how Korean food is supposed to be. Some good things. The galbi wasn't bad. It was the short rib with bone which isn't my preferred form of galbi but it was still good and not too sweet. The pop corn chicken was so good. They give a chunk of beef fat to grease the grill in the beginning which I appreciated. Strip loin was good. Although it was basically a chunk of meat you toss on the grill and cut yourself with scissors. The spicy pickled cucumbers weren't bad and tasted normal. That's about it though. I would never come back here due to the price absolutely not equating to the quality. The staff very nice. But not nice enough to save the food. This place I would expect more 20-25$/person than anything. Not 40$! If the kbbq place absolutely was redone different story.

So when I saw a review for Wings & Rice, I did what any curious foodie would do I drove over an hour and a half to try it for myself. This time, the TikTok hype was 100% worth it. The wings were cooked to perfection crispy, flavorful, and juicy. I ordered the Spicy Teriyaki and Garlic Parmesan, and both were absolutely amazing. The flavors were bold without being overwhelming, and every bite had me wanting more. I also ordered the Hibachi Chicken Fried Rice, and it did not disappoint. The portion was generous, the chicken was tender, and the rice was packed with flavor. What really completed the experience was the customer service. Everyone was friendly, welcoming, and made me feel appreciated as a customer. The location is a little tucked away in Tucson and definitely not somewhere I would have stumbled upon on my own, but it's a hidden gem that's worth the drive. I can't wait to go back and try more of the menu. This is one food review I'm glad I followed. If you're on the fence, go you won't regret it!

For entrees, we got Curry Chicken and Cumin Lamb. I'd never had Cumin Lamb before, and it rocketed to the top of my favorites list! It was gorgeously flavorful, fragrant, and spicy, warming as I ate. The spiced oil soaked into the rice, spreading the flavor to every last grain. It's really lovely and I highly recommend it.
