This restaurant is very clean and all of the waitresses were super friendly, smiling and helpful! The food was nice and fresh and presented beautifully. The atmosphere was inviting and there was smooth relaxing music playing in the background. Bathrooms were also fresh and clean. We arrived right at 4:30 (when they re-open for dinner service) and there was a steady stream of customers arriving and finishing as the comes out quickly. This will definitely be our go to sushi spot in this area.

This place is fantastic. It's my go-to sushi place in Tucson. We usually get the Santiago or the Diamondback roll (they're off-menu) or the Crazy Boy /Crazy Girl. The rolls are a really great value and I love that each piece is small enough to actually fit in your mouth. Those gigantic oversized roll pieces that you have to bite in half to eat and that come apart are the worst! Our group also ordered the ramen (off menu) and teriyaki bento box. Both got rave reviews. I've eaten here at least a dozen times in the last 2 years and every single time the quality has been great and the fish has been really fresh. I've never had an issue with their service. Waiters don't come to your table constantly but if you need them, they're usually available immediately or after a short wait. One of the waiters I've had was not super friendly but not once have I experienced what I'd call rudeness. Sometimes perceived rudeness is just a cultural difference or a response to customer behavior or even someone just having a really bad day like we all do! The décor of this place always makes me laugh because I'm not sure if it used to be a sports bar and the new owners just adopted the same aesthetic and add a couple of Asian items to the place or if the owners just love sports and decided to ignore conventional sushi resto décor but I can appreciate both those options lol What's important is that the place is clean and smells good.

I really didn't know what to expect from a sushi restaurant in a strip mall in Tucson of all places. I know fish basically gets frozen and shipped around and it's more about the chef and the temperatures it's all frozen at. Or at least that's what I've been led to believe. I'm really glad we gave this place a try. The fish was amazing, and the slices of fish in the nigiri were surprisingly large and definitely not overwhelmed by rice. The service was good and the staff was very friendly and very attentive. It's not a huge place, and is nicely decorated as well. I had to get a picture of the fish painting on the wall but there were a lot of little touches around the place that made it fun. The food was ready pretty quickly and all in all this was a great meal. I highly recommend checking it out if you're looking for sushi in the area.

O Sushi is our go to sushi restaurant for takeout! They have generous portions of very fresh fish and reasonable prices. The owners are super sweet at this family run business. We have eaten in as well many times the service is fast, friendly, and the food great! Ambience is your typical sushi bar with casual attire. Highly recommend you check this place out!

Yelp has done it again! We wanted to try out a new sushi place and found O Sushi. The restaurant is so clean, nicely decorated with baseball memorabilia and so cool coming in from the heat! They have a wonderful variety on their menus! We order a variety of sushi to try, Golden Dragon Roll, Philadelphia Roll, Yummy Yummy roll, and veggie tempura roll! Oh my goodness everything was so fresh and delicious! The veggie tempura with that sweet potato was incredible! But the golden dragon roll was just as incredible! We are looking forward to our next visit and trying something new and different too!! Service was excellent and our server was so kind!

Will always do what I can to spread a good word about this place. The staff have been there for as long as I can remember and it's evident it's a labor of love because they all work so incredibly hard. I love the flavors, the portions, the fish and the baseball decor. It's all right up my alley. It's a humble sushi spot with good food. 10/10 recommend this place and 12/10 for the staff.

We visited O Sushi Restaurant after reading Google and Yelp reviews. We were expecting greatness, however we experienced confusion. Off the rip, the customer service was subpar. We were greeted, seated and left to flag someone down to place our orders. Felt like I was on a raft in the middle of the ocean. We ordered an array of menu items-shrimp fried rice, chicken teriyaki, crunchy roll, Vegas roll, baked salmon roll and the crazy boy roll. While waiting for our order, I took notice of the restaurant's decor. That's where the confusion began. The walls were covered with baseball memorabilia. I couldn't tell where I was; a sports bar, baseball museum or a restaurant. It definitely provided a level of entertainment. The food was ok. The sushi was just ok. Nothing to write home about, but I will say that the portion sizes were great and our food was prepared to order. I enjoyed my sushi order, but the shrimp fried rice left much to be desired. I don't think Uncle Roger would approve. Sometimes it's best to just keep recipes simple.

Our fav in Tucson for sure! Thanks to our complaining that we couldn't find great sushi in Tucson, our friend then suggested that we paid O sushi a visit. We tried it and sure enough we both loved it! Generous portions, great combinations, and fresh ingredients. They have a very impressive baseball memorabilia displayed too! Great friendly service, awesome food and great cold beer!

    Are they all-you-can Sushi?

This is not an all you can eat sushi place. They have a set menu which is reasonably priced. And you pay according to the rolls or pieces that you order.

Can I come in and order takeout? Or do I have to call?

I believe you can come in

Do they offer happy hour on Friday too?

We've been there on Fridays and have always received the Happy Hour menu, along with the others. Nice people, nice food and very nice prices!

This was not what we expected but the staff was friendly and 1/2 patrons at the food hall were eating sushi. The stalls have big energy today and lots of patrons are searching for a seat. Why not give them a chance? The menu is fairly varied for a small pop-up with traditional and deep fried sushi rolls. The female wait staff is handing out egg drop soup samples to everyone, ever those eating pizza and gyros. Looking around, these rolls are huge. We chose the Sonoran roll with shrimp tempora, spicy tuna, spicy crab topped with seared salmon and yuzu sauce. This roll was flavorful and spicy. Another roll was the Samurai with shrimp tempora, cream cheese, avacado wrapped in soy paper deep fried and covered with spicy crab / shrimp mix baked in a spicy aioli and eel sauce. This was our favorite roll with a pop in the tempora shrimp and an uncious taste coupled with a bite. Our third and final roll was the heart attack. Another spicy roll with shrimp tempora, avacado, cream cheese topped with jalepeno, spicy crab and chef sauce. Again, another good roll and a ton of food. This food mall is in an unassuming neighborhood with a smiling server who is hustling like crazy. The sushi was good, unique and tasty. It was a huge amount of food. Give this hard working staff and chance, she is enthusiastic and working hard. To the staff at Samurai Sombrero who are working hard and obviously, not a trained sushi chef. To the public, take a chance, give Samurai Sombrero a try and judge for yourself.

The menu seems a bit more fusion than traditional but a good balance of pushing boundaries without trying too hard. We made a reservation for lunch on a Sunday but were only one of three parties. We ordered quite a bit but our favorites definitely were the pork belly appetizer, the hafu roll, and the neo-genesis roll. I'd love to come back and try their ramen.

Walked in, immediately greeted and sat at the bar, our request. The hostess also our cocktail and beer server. Hubby had a delicious clarified cocktail which was absolutely yummy but at $18 a pop for a good four drinks and it's gone cocktail, ok. I know they take time to make. I had a $10 Sapporo draft. We then ordered two pork Bao Buns, two sushi rolls, the Shiro Maki and the Tataki Maki. Both really good, really well rolled, not an abundance of rice either. I am obsessed with Ramen, I decided to order the house Ramen, the Obon, without the Bonito flakes because I'm not a fan. Looked good when it came, I just wasn't happy with it. It lacked something, umami, a well developed broth, who knows, I just know it wasn't what I normally like. It gave me heartburn from hell too. Overall, $150 later I left somewhat dissatisfied and disappointed. For a Sunday, at noon, four tables worth of patrons. Not loud, not super quiet, nice ambiance. I doubt that I'll go back, if we do, it will be for their $22 rolls of sushi.
