This place has been a regular takeout spot for my husband and I but I'm unsure if I want to change it up. It has not been giving the same quality I used to love. My favorite dish from there (the chicken fried noodles) seems to have switched up. I just recently had it again this past Sunday and was disappointed to find that yet again the dish was dry and lacking the flavor I grew to love. It actually doesn't seem to have the flavor at all.. just noodles and chicken. I also got the wings which had a great crisp to them and jalapeños & such, but needed a sauce as they were basic chicken otherwise. It's been a while since we've ordered from here and it seems like they've improved quite a bit! Their menu seems to have changed too since the last time we ordered. We got the hot and sour soup, cucumber salad, the eggplant and tofu and the house fried udon. It was all very good albeit a bit salty. First time here. Definitely not a lot of frills at this eatery. Great selection of meals. I had the House Special Fried Noodles. Eat in or take out it is served in the same to go container. The meal itself was delicious. The only drawback I found is the eating utensils are probably the least expensive available. The fork was so flimsy, it would bend when trying to grab the meat. When I was there I noticed a steady stream of customers picking up to go orders. It is certainly more of a take out establishment. The taste of the food makes up for the lack of ambiance. Wonton soup, orange chicken, fried rice, and house special fried noodle. Now, I like wonton soup - probably one of my favorite soups - and this one was deliciously seasoned, and lots of wontons. Yummy! The orange chicken had the expected hot chiles, and it had a great spice level. And then the noodles! Sheer perfection! And the shrimp was not over cooked, the beef had a nice flavor, but the chicken was forgettable, but that is because everything else was so good. Alright this was not my first time ordering from here but today's interaction definitely needed to be disclosed. Met with a smile and a greeting upon stepping through the doors, the ambience was calm and aromas in the air very pleasant. The woman at the register noticed my chef coat and asked if I was a chef, to which I assured I was. She asked where I worked and I told her Vero Amore, she has not heard of it but another guest dining in overhead and was familiar so a conversation struck. After a few minutes of chatting I placed my order, I was reading and couldn't really decide. As my eyes were trailing the descriptions I locked in on a picture of a dish with shrimp, water chestnuts and other yummy veggies. I asked which dish it was and was told it was the Cashew shrimp. So, I went with that alongside a small order of Egg Noodle soup, Veggie egg rolls, and I was in the mood for mushrooms, specifically the little paddy straw variety I'm used to seeing when I order take out. Sadly they did not but the cashier then showed me a picture of a side special they had available. The picture had writing which was translated to "football" she had described it as similar to dimsum and that it was filled with mushrooms and pork. After that I paid and was told it would be about 10minutes. While I waited, the cashier came back and asked me if I had a little more time to wait and if I would be interested in trying one of the little football dumplings as there was one left. I was very surprised and honored so I said of course. My meal was ready along with my sampler. I tried it and was blown away. I asked what type of flour was used and what exactly I was eating but we laughed when she couldn't really describe the flour used. No biggie but I graciously thanked them and will definitely be coming back again to order them in the future. If you haven't checked out this spot I definitely recommend giving it a shot. read more

I have only found a handful of local Chinese restaurant (American style takeout) options that I consider passable and Brothers Noodles is one. Is it fancy? Nope, but it's clean, the service is friendly, and they have an online ordering option. I look for a few specific few things: Is the hot and sour soup actually hot and sour? Check. Are the veggies that are served fresh actually fresh? Check. Do the fried options taste like the oil is changed on a regular basis? Check. It's also fairly inexpensive; they have lunch specials for $9.95 and $10.95, and a great dinner special (if you eat there) of 3 entrees for $33.00. I hope more people drive past the one with the bear logo and support this independent business who's making better food. read more

We arrived for dinner because Brothers was open on Monday evening and the new noodle place we planned on wasn't. I'd call it an Asian diner due to the small two- and four-people tables with plastic-covered checked tablecloths. Orders are taken at the counter and food delivered to the table. The menu has a wide selection, some expected items and some more unique. For instance, appetizers include the usual suspects as well as spicy barbecue noodles, golden tofu, and sesame balls. In addition to the American-style Asian dishes are the Chef Specials of "Authentic Chinese Style Food" including sauce pork vertebra, house beer duck, spicy chicken feet, and fried pig intestines. We weren't feeling that adventurous, so I chose the House Special Noodle Soup. A large bowl was filled with noodles, greens, shrimp, beef, and shrimp. The flavor of the broth was nice, but I did add some chili oil that was on the table. The shrimp were perfectly cooked and the sliced beef was very tender; with a few bits of chicken. My friend ordered the hot and sour soup, which is our initial assessment tool for Chinese restaurants. It was thick and dark and tasty, but we prefer a more sour flavor. She also had the Kung Pao Shrimp: beautifully presented, piled high on an oblong platter with plenty of shrimp and lots of crisp vegetables. She said it was slightly spicy and well seasoned. She asked for iced tea, but they were, oddly, out of it. We both had enough food left for lunch tomorrow. Honestly thought this was another ramen place based on the name. Surprise, surprise - it's MUCH more! Stopped in late one night and ordered a bunch of stuff to take home and I was impressed! We ordered a bunch of stuff so we'd have plenty of leftovers. So here is our list and opinion of each: Wonton soup: I don't eat this soup, my husband does. He said it was pretty decent and liked that there were a ton of wonton in it. Pork fried rice: Pretty good - instead of cubed or smaller pieces of pork, the meat was in long strips. Fried noodles (lo-mein) with pork: loved the noodles! Really good flavor Sesame chicken: my go-to dish and Brothers Noodles' version is delicious. Plus they give you broccoli in the dish - fantastic! Mongolian beef: I'm more of a chicken eater and this was OK but my husband loved it. Pork roll: Tasty, just couldn't really taste or find the meat. Maybe they gave us veggie by accident. Oh well, they were good! Crab puff: perfectly cooked with a hot, creamy center. So many places do a poor job of cooking these - not Brothers! They were perfect! Brothers Noodles is now my go-to place for ordering Chinese. Can't wait to try some other dishes. read more

I had egg flower soup once in CA and it had corn in it, in AZ I couldn't find a restaurant that serves egg flower soup with corn that's good, I'm so happy and lucky for finding Brother's, there egg flower soup with corn is so delicious. It's a must try!!! We also order Singapore rice noodle with beef, chicken, and shrimp. It was superb, the right amount of curry, very flavorful. My hubby had hot and sour soup and he loved it. Ordered this for the first time through Uber eats. I ordered the wonton soup, beef friend rice, and Yu Xiang Chicken. The wonton soup was so good! I've never had wonton soup with seaweed but I was pleasantly surprised. The broth had great flavor and the wontons seemed very fresh and had a very nice gingery flavor. The beef fried rice was also really good and the portion was huge. Love big portions. Lastly the Yu Xiang chicken, I normally order this with eggplant at other restaurants and always liked it. Decided to try the chicken here and the chicken tasted off like it wasn't too fresh. Tried to eat it but ended up throwing it away. The lunch was around $7, and you can add egg flower soup for .50 which is a good deal. Overall, would recommend trying it out. Next time I want to try the lomein. read more

Pretty nice and casual place though it was a pretty hot since the fans werent on and I'm not sure how effective the AC was at the time. As for the food itself, I ordered the cabbage and pork dumplings (pan-fried) and the beef noodle soup, two dishes which I think are pretty classic. The dumplings were pretty good but considering the amount you get (8) and the price..I dont think it's worth. As for the beef noodle soup itself, the broth didnt have as much flavor as I would've liked, a little on the watery side. The beef had a good texture but there was this gamey aftertaste to it as well?? I dont mind the gamey taste of some meats but for beef, it was very unsettling to my taste buds. It had an overwhelming onion type vegetable in the soup and it took away from the soup, secondly the lo mein was orange noodles, don't know if the noodles have saffron Or turmeric in them. Flavor was just okay, but didn't like. With the beef and broccoli, the beef was tough and salty. Otherwise, ok. The rice was also orange and was salty. The service was still amazing and fast but when I received the cream cheese ragoons they did not even have cream cheese. I was so absolutely heart broken. I would tell everyone brothers noodles had the best cream cheese ragoons in tucson. Before the rebranding the ragoons were exploding with cream cheese but it wasn't too much because the wrapper was perfectly rationed and crispy. There was absolutely no filling inside and it is so disappointing. The noodles were still great even though the portion was way smaller. I really would like to come back but it seems I'm going to have to get ragoons somewhere else. :( read more
