    Turkey & Pesto Croissant
    Benedict C.

Stopped by Baked for some coffee and pastries while waiting for a table at Red Hook Tavern down the street. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The cafe has a cozy vibe to it and they seem pretty in touch with the community.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The staff seems pretty familiar with a lot of the patrons that come in so I guess people are pretty loyal to the spot. I ordered a chai latte and assorted baked goods to go with it. My girlfriend has a matcha latte. Service was quick and friendly. I enjoyed all of the baked goods we had but my favorite was definitely the Turkey & Pesto Croissant. There was a generous helping of pesto inside and the herbaceous, garlicky, earthy flavor paired really well with the turkey. The croissant was nice and flaky too without being overly messy. The barista warmed it up to the perfect temperature too. If I were a local I'd probably be a regular too.

We went on a Sunday so street parking was not that difficult. We got some cupcakes because they looked pretty and the flavors sounded great but they all tasted horrible and were very hard that we each took one bite of each item then threw it out. We also got the pecan bar and a peanut butter Nutella one - both were not worth the price and my kids hated it. We also ended up throwing them out. Also the employee that was helping us seemed very impatient which caused us to feel flustered and I didn't get to order more than I would usually for trying a bakery for the first time - albeit I have to say it benefited us since we didn't like anything we did get so would just have been an added waste of money.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Cute neighborhood bakery/cafe with lots of seating!![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Our favorite baked item we tried was their zucchini bread. Would definitely come back!

Went there because it's the only cafe close to my work. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place is small and expensive.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] When it comes to food and drink, it isn't good. I had a latte and a cheese biscuit. The biscuit and latte tasted terrible, and it was expensive. I spent more than $10 and threw out my drink and biscuit. I would not go there again.

What a cake! The crumb and frosting are professional wedding quality every single time. Delicate but at the same time robust and visually appealing. They were even able to handle a last minute design change thoughtfully and graciously. Baked is a NYC staple worth leaving your neighborhood for.

I don't visit Brooklyn/NYC without making a Baked stop! Rediscovered the Brookster and wow! A baked Frankenstein creation that's so good. Two great tastes (Brownie and chocolate chip cookie) brought together as one. Don't know how they did it but I do know it's delicious and a must try! Also, tried the PBJ bar-perfect combo of the childhood favorite in a bar! The standbys are the Peanut Butter Crispy bar & the Sweet and Salty brownie. Rich, decadent chocolate flavors. Excellent coffee varieties also served up by always friendly and upbeat people! Many bakeries that have "Baked" as first name in the area but make no mistake this is the one. Can we get one of these in MD?

God I love you Baked. I ordered 1dozen of sweet and salty brownies delivered And they sent it like this. Look at my picture. What a Beautiful Card. It says Baked Loves You. Good Bless. Got my delivery today on Christmas Eve. Thank You Baked

I truly appreciate that they limit the guests to 4 total. Some of these people don't understand social distancing and stand almost on top of you!! We got brownies, cupcakes, and iced lattes. The brownies were delicious!! I was hoping to save it for the ride home, but we very quickly devoured the blondie and double dark chocolate brownies very quickly! We also tried their vanilla citrus curdand chocolate chocolate cupcakes. Both were quite tasty and not too sweet! The only slightly disappointing thing and thus the 4 stars was the iced lattes. We drink a lot of coffee and espresso drinks, but these tasted a bit burnt and for $5+, you would expect it to be better. I'm glad I had something to go with the sweets, but not likely to order this again. The shop is roomy and must he a nice place to chill when indoor seating resumes. For now they just have 1 table for 2 in the front and a bench. I'd love to try their signature cakes next time, sadly this time they weren't offering any cakes (sliced or whole!)

The best thing about the cakes at Baked is the frosting. I, like so many people, don't love frosting and it's because so often it's overly sweet and very stiff. Not at Baked. Theirs is light and airy, like a whipped butter, and not very sweet at all. There used to be a cupcake shop attached to the children's book store near Union Square whose name I forget that made frosting like this. Ever since that place closed I've been seeking an airy, not too sweet frosting and I'm so happy I found it at Baked. I've tried their black out cake, birthday cake, pistachio, matcha and chocolate cupcakes. Everything here has been impressive, and they'll gladly make large bday cakes for you too. I was sad when their Tribeca location closed but happy their Red Hook location remains open. Would love for them to expand across the city!

Cute and cozy, great service, and possibly the best funfetti cupcake I've ever had. Delicious!

Brookster (cookie in a brownie) and Salted Caramel Bar
    Christopher N.

Wow! Stopped in quickly on the way back home from Ikea after I saw some of these yummy looking pastries and treats on Yelp. So glad I did! Ordered the brookster (cookie baked in a brownie) and salted caramel bar. Both were so so so good! The brookster had a nice crunchy cookie and a chocolate boost from the brownie. Perfectly balanced in terms of sweetness in my opinion. The salted caramel bar was the star for me though! The caramel is nice and soft and chewy, with a lightly salted flavor. Honestly I could take even more salt but still tasty. The shortbread cookie is buttery and crumbly and the chocolate on top is exactly what it needed to balance it all out. Baked isn't nearby so I'd have to make a trip, but I'd consider it after today's visit!

This was a berry scone. Mmm

Always so good and they have a nice variety of specialty baked goods. The kids love to come here but the pastries are just so big and so good that we have to share. Nice selection and the service is excellent. My disappointment is always in the fact that they don't carry decaf coffee which is the only coffee I drink. But they have a beautiful hot chocolate and homemade marshmallows with your nice. Also at Halloween they always put out a special cake and this year was no exception.

The bakery had a display full of pastries that looked absolutely incredible. I didn't have time to grab one this visit, but I'll definitely be back to fix that. I spent a few minutes talking with one of the staff members about the different sourdough options they had that day. I'm actually not the biggest sourdough fan, but I decided to trust his recommendation. When I got home, I toasted a slice and had it with a cup of coffee... wow. It was absolutely delicious. The flavor was rich, the texture was perfect, and it completely changed my opinion of what good sourdough can be. If you're in the area and love sourdough bread, you'll probably be in heaven here. Right now, the surrounding neighborhood is still being developed, so it can feel like it's in the middle of nowhere. But you can already see where it's headed. Give it a few years, and I have a feeling this is going to be one of "the spots" people seek out. I'll definitely be back for one of those pastries.

The seating is sparse, but comfortable. I liked sitting at the window bar and watching the world go by. I enjoyed the bread and butter--that was delicious. The biscuit sandwich was crumbly, but tasty. The kouign amann was crispier than most--I liked that caramelization, but my husband didn't. We also shared a custard danish--to me, the berries and custard tasted sour. We did enjoy the sunflower butter cookie. I ordered black tea with milk--it was lukewarm milk water. Lest you think that's because I ordered it with milk, my husband's green tea was lukewarm green tea water. I might eat here again if I were in the neighborhood, but I wouldn't make a special trip (as I did this time). The barista was very nice.

At the outset of planning our wedding, we had a strong vision for the event, but lacked a fundamental understanding of how we'd put it together, the flow throughout the night, and the logistics of the more do-it-yourself venues that we were most interested in. Once we met Heather Levine from Naturally Delicious (ND), and started working with her, it became clear that ND were the perfect partners for our event. Heather had years of experience producing events in our venue and others like it and experience producing a variety of types of events. Heather had on-point suggestions for every detail of our event, whether it be food, run-of-show, liquor, rentals, or anything. About two weeks before the event, we faced an unexpected crisis. We don't know what we would have done without Heather generally, but especially during these two weeks. Our bi-weekly emails with Heather turned into multiple calls and texts a day. Alongside no small amount of coaching (bordering on counseling at times), Heather helped us repeatedly communicate with all of our loved ones about the event, and tirelessly worked across our vendors and venue to make many significant, last minute adjustments. Overall, we couldn't recommend Naturally Delicious and Heather Levine more!

We had a handful of platters of hor d'oeuvres and an open bar with two bartenders as well. I really appreciated the lengths our contact, Melissa, went to to make sure the event was successful. Since we were uncertain about our budget until the very last minute, we had so many changes (adding and subtracting platters, including the open bar, etc.) and requests. Melissa very willingly accommodated and worked with our limited budget to provide the best food and service. We were even making changes until a day before the event! The food was set up and delivered an hour and a half before the start of the event, which was a great relief for the event planners and a burden off our shoulders. The lovely bartenders were experienced and worked quickly, so there was hardly ever a line. Clean up was easy and fast, and Naturally Delicious worked with our space limitations to make the process super seamless. The food itself was all cold since we didn't have access to a kitchen to heat it up, so it wasn't as appetizing as some of our guests had hoped. However, I think this was more a result of my menu selection than anything Naturally Delicious did. The catering was a bit on the pricier side, but it's well worth it for the professionalism. If I'm planning catering for a future event, I will definitely turn to Naturally Delicious again!

They have limited hours and tend to sell out quickly, so on a Saturday I arrived around **11:40 AM**, about 20 minutes before opening, and was one of the first three customers inside (their maximum occupancy). This isn't a place to grab a quick coffee. The owner carefully prepares each drink by hand, so expect to wait about **30-60 minutes** if there's a line. I waited around 10-15 minutes after ordering, but honestly didn't mind because the space is so calm and peaceful. While waiting, I enjoyed browsing the aroma mists, smelling the candles, and just soaking in the serene atmosphere. It's the perfect spot if you're looking for a quiet moment by yourself. For drinks, I really enjoyed the **Black Sesame Latte**. It has espresso and was smooth, light, and well-balanced. I also tried the **Matcha Maple Latte**. The matcha itself tasted like excellent quality, but next time I'd skip the maple syrup since I prefer my drinks less sweet. We also sampled several pastries: * **Hojicha Cookie** - Soft and moist with melty chocolate chips. One of my favorites. * **Coffee Caramel Cookie** - Great if you love coffee. It had a rich, bold coffee flavor. * **Black Sesame Madeleine** - Nice black sesame flavor, though I would have loved a little more butter to make it even more moist. * **Yuzu Cake** - Beautifully decorated with an edible flower and packed with bright yuzu flavor. The cake was on the drier side though. * **Chocolate Cake** - Wonderfully moist and satisfying. The drinks were around **$8.50** each, and the cookies were about **$4** each, so it's definitely on the pricier side. For my Asian palate, most of the pastries leaned a bit sweeter than I prefer, but the drinks were excellent and clearly made with high-quality ingredients. Overall, this is a lovely place to treat yourself once in a while. Come for the peaceful atmosphere, thoughtfully crafted drinks, and beautiful pastries.
