Tl;dr: Not only were Naturally Delicious (Heather Levine) the perfect partners for our wedding in any circumstances, but Heather helped us navigate an exceptionally difficult situation that emerged two weeks before, and we couldn't recommend them more. At the outset of planning our wedding, we had a strong vision for the event, but lacked a fundamental understanding of how we'd put it together, the flow throughout the night, and the logistics of the more do-it-yourself venues that we were most interested in. Once we met Heather Levine from Naturally Delicious (ND), and started working with her, it became clear that ND were the perfect partners for our event. Heather had years of experience producing events in our venue and others like it and experience producing a variety of types of events. Heather had on-point suggestions for every detail of our event, whether it be food, run-of-show, liquor, rentals, or anything. About two weeks before the event, we faced an unexpected crisis. We don't know what we would have done without Heather generally, but especially during these two weeks. Our bi-weekly emails with Heather turned into multiple calls and texts a day. Alongside no small amount of coaching (bordering on counseling at times), Heather helped us repeatedly communicate with all of our loved ones about the event, and tirelessly worked across our vendors and venue to make many significant, last minute adjustments. We got catering from Naturally Delicious for a 150 person alumni event in Soho, and we were really pleased by the professionalism. We had a handful of platters of hor d'oeuvres and an open bar with two bartenders as well. I really appreciated the lengths our contact, Melissa, went to to make sure the event was successful. Since we were uncertain about our budget until the very last minute, we had so many changes (adding and subtracting platters, including the open bar, etc.) and requests. Melissa very willingly accommodated and worked with our limited budget to provide the best food and service. We were even making changes until a day before the event! The food was set up and delivered an hour and a half before the start of the event, which was a great relief for the event planners and a burden off our shoulders. The lovely bartenders were experienced and worked quickly, so there was hardly ever a line. Clean up was easy and fast, and Naturally Delicious worked with our space limitations to make the process super seamless. The food itself was all cold since we didn't have access to a kitchen to heat it up, so it wasn't as appetizing as some of our guests had hoped. However, I think this was more a result of my menu selection than anything Naturally Delicious did. The catering was a bit on the pricier side, but it's well worth it for the professionalism. If I'm planning catering for a future event, I will definitely turn to Naturally Delicious again! read more

This review is long overdue, but I'm so glad that we had Naturally Delicious cater our wedding! I got married at The Greenpoint Loft last summer, and Alison and her team provided amazing food, super attentive service, and went above and beyond to make sure that everything went off without a hitch. We were so glad to have them as a part of our big day! We'd met with a few local caterers when we were first planning our wedding, but ND was the obvious choice for us. Their staff was friendly and open to our ideas/input from day one, plus they had the best food and budget-friendly options. They took care of every detail, which is so important when you're booking a raw space and need to rent tables/chairs, place settings, and just about everything else. Alison thought of everything and was able to answer all of our little questions and give us advice on the things that we were clueless about. Naturally Delicious catered a ribbon cutting ceremony for 350+ at an outdoor ceremony in May 2019. Their team, led by Heather, was wonderful to work with. The food was absolutely delicious, and they were attentive and welcoming to all the attendees. Those goat cheese tarts will feature in my foodie dreams. They catered my wedding 3 years ago, and I just happened to think about Loren Michelle, co-owner and event planner of Naturally Delicious, after watching a marathon of Top Chef. We had a small-ish wedding in Prospect Park, and everything from the tables to the glassware had to be brought in. Loren took care of all of the details with her excellent staff. We only met in person once or twice since I was living out-of-state, but email correspondence was always prompt and she was able to understand my sensibility right off the bat. The food was great (just wish I could have sat down and eaten all of it!). Her suggestion of sake for our sake cask was also excellent. Solid food and service. When I was planning a party in Brooklyn I reached out to many caterers and often found them to be dismissive, not wanting to help me in planning our menu, and even bored with the conversation. Starting last year, we selected Naturally Delicious to be our wedding caterers, and we couldn't be happier with the their amazing work at our event! If you need caterers, they are the perfect choice. In fact, my husband and I are already wishing we had another event we could hire them to cater! We worked with Jonathan as our key contact and day-of coordinator. He was amazing for so many reasons. He had a ton of experience and expertise in the ins and outs of event planning. So when we had any questions on wedding specifics, he provided us with clear answers. Throughout the entire process, he always communicated how much he cared about the wedding being successful and how incredibly competent he would be at handling anything that came up. We appreciated this immensely, and he absolutely put our minds at ease throughout the process. At the outset, Jonathan shared planning spreadsheets with us to organize our thoughts and to-do lists. When he walked us through selecting details like linens, chairs, and serving trays, he provided a lot of insight into what would look good without being pushy and without ever trying to "up-sell" us on anything we didn't need. As for the food itself, it was great! Multiple guests told us how delicious (Naturally Delicious!) the food was. One said that his only complaint was that he couldn't put a bunch of it in his pockets and take it home with him. Everything we tasted was wonderful. I particularly loved the desserts as well as the soup shooter appetizers. In general, they did an excellent job with our key mission -- giving our guests a hearty meal without it feeling like a stuffy, sit-down affair. Instead, the "glorified cocktail hour" felt fun and lively while still giving our guests enough food throughout the evening. On top of the delicious food, the service was fantastic. Every server or bartender I interacted with was truly sweet and helpful for me and my guests. In particular, the captain and our personal bride-and-groom attendant (Geri and Hannah) were outstanding. I briefly misplaced my phone and they worked very hard to locate it (and eventually did!). One other nice touch was Jonathan and the staff set up a quiet little nook for us after the ceremony but before our announcement, where we could have a drink and a snack on our own. It was really thoughtful of them to have our favorite drinks and appetizers ready so I could just stop for a minute and toast to my new husband! I could go on and on about how excellent Naturally Delicious was. From the coordination, to the food, to the service, I am incredibly glad we selected them. We're "only" giving 5 stars because we can't give 10 or 20. It's just under two weeks since our wedding, and yet, we cannot wait to write this review, because we want to tell the world, in fact, shout to the world at the top of our lungs, how incredibly amazing Naturally Delicious was for our wedding. The wedding could not have been more magical, and a great deal of the organizational smoothness of the wedding stems from having Naturally Delicious as our caterer. The food was beyond belief. At least ten guests (including Michael's 80 year old aunt, who has been to her fair share of weddings in her life) told us it was the best meal at a wedding they've ever tasted. But beyond the mouth-watering, perfect food, the service was among the best service we've ever experienced from any company we've been customers or clients of in our lives. From the first meeting, Shannon, our caterer, patiently explained all the options, and never once pressured us or rushed our decision-making. The prices are not the cheapest you'll find out there, but frankly, in our research, we found that a lot of the "cheaper" options out there actually had a million hidden "fees" and "additional charges," so that when you compare Naturally Delicious with them, it actually works out the same. One thing we greatly appreciated about working with Naturally Delicious is that all, and we mean all, fees and prices were quoted and explained clearly and reasonably up-front, so there were no surprises or last-minute haggling. They run a very clean, tight ship there, and it felt very professional and honest at all times. Another aspect we loved about working with them was that they handled and coordinated *everything* having to do with the food and alcohol at the wedding. For a very reasonable fee, they coordinated all the table and equipment rentals, wine, beer, setup, everything, so we literally didn't have to worry one second about any of this in the week before the wedding or the day of (we had enough to worry about coordinating that week, believe us!) This allowed the day itself to be completely worry-free. Shannon, the head caterer for our event, acted in many ways like a wedding planner for us, giving us tons of advice about all aspects of the wedding planning, far above and beyond the call of a caterer's duty. She did an onsite visit to the venue weeks before, helping us plan the layout and the flow of the entire evening. Day of, she stayed throughout most of the wedding, well into the night. Her presence at the wedding was incredibly calming--we knew she had everything "handled." The warm, appealing serving staff could not have been more positive or friendly. Literally every interaction, every last serving of the hors d'oeuvres, every last scoop of vegetable side-dish onto the plates, was done with a big, enthusiastic smile. One of the servers seemed visibly moved by our ceremony, and told us so--the staff isn't just "doing a job," they seemed to really love their work and care. Bottom line, we couldn't possibly imagine a couple being disappointed working with Naturally Delicious for their wedding. Never have we been so happy with a service provider we've hired for anything in our lives, which is fortunate, since he hired them to help us with the biggest day of our lives. Naturally Delicious were fantastic. I booked their Private Dining Room across from Buttermilk Channel for my birthday celebration for 11 good friends. Emily Sullivan was so wonderful to work with from the get go. She was patient when I had a lot of questions and even made suggestions to the final menu so it was more balanced. My guests and I LOVED the food, the ambiance and the service. Marlene was our waitstaff for the cocktail hour + dinner. She was very nice and very attentive to all of us. Katherine (and her sous chef) made such an amazing meal that our guests were talking about it for the next few days. The mushroom croquettes were out of this world. I could have eaten just those for the entire dinner. We decided to go the BYOB route with corkage fee per guest and it was probably the more economical route given 12 of us went through 9 bottles of wine (not to mention the several cocktails we had included at the start of the evening. At the end of the day, Private Dining Room is fairly expensive, however, if you have an occasion you don't mind splurging on then this is an experience not to be missed. I can't speak to Naturally Delicious outside of PDR but if this meal and service is any indication of their wider range of services: events, weddings, etc; I would definitely hire them. Unfortunately for them, they'll just have to wait for my business until I find my wife so I can have that wedding ...something tells me they'll do just fine in the meantime though. read more

We ordered our Thanksgiving dinner from Naturally Delicious and it was outstanding. I could not recommend them more. Working with the catering manager was extremely easy and pleasant. We were able to select several side dishes from a list of choices. The turkey was ready to simply put into the oven and instructions included (for first-time turkey makers, this was essential!) Each dish was absolutely delicious tasting. Their portion sizes "per person" were very appropriate. They also delivered right to our door timely. Everyone at Thanksgiving dinner was thrilled. I hired Naturally Delicious for my wife's baby shower to do platters of finger foods, skewers, etc. They had a great menu, nice variety and Aviva did excellent job of helping us choose the right menu for our party. The guys who did set up were extremely helpful, friendly on time and quick. The food tasted great, we ended up with a perfect amount of food, a great selection and our guests were very happy. It made throwing the party very easy, I was happy, my wife was happy and our guests were happy and fed. Catering is not cheap but their prices were better than the competition we considered. Bertille and her crew hosted our wedding reception this summer at The Private Dining Room, and we couldn't be more pleased. The team was relentlessly attuned to all details of the event, providing gentle suggestions and patiently answering our many questions throughout the planning process. We were able to prepare our flower arrangements the day before, and what really wowed us was that the staff had arranged all our flowers, candles and party favors flawlessly in time for our arrival, even though I had indicated that we would arrive shortly before our guests to finish setting up. Naturally Delicious catered our (very) recent wedding at the Brooklyn Historical Society - must have been shortly after or before Andy F's! - and they did a fabulous job. The food was fantastic and the service top-notch. From our arrival at the venue - where they had a plate of food and glasses of our super delicious blanc de blanc waiting for us to snack on prior to the ceremony - everything went off without a hitch. All of the staff were incredibly nice and friendly and we've gotten lots of positive feedback from our guests. I'm still dreaming about the carrot cupcakes and pecan squares that were part of our dessert spread! We went through a couple different planners because of changes within the company but we eventually ended up working with Loren, the owner, who was great and made sure we were well taken care of. She helped me pick linens and more and was a great sounding board for my ideas. ND are way more than mere caterers; they're also great planners, whether it's week-of or day-of. We chose Naturally Delicious as our wedding caterer almost by default- they were the only venue-approved caterer to promptly answer emails. I am still marveling at our good fortune. The food was delicious, the staff was patient, friendly, and organized, and anticipated needs and problems far in advance. When we mentioned friends were bringing small children, they immediately asked if we'd like to arrange high chair rentals. When we put bok choy in a mostly-Italian menu, they suggested something more Mediterranean. About 30 seconds after we sat down at the head table, the lead server arrived with a plate of food for both of us. When our reception venue had major staff changes a month before our wedding, ND made sure the new staff members were completely up to speed. This company is wonderful to deal with - they've got a great deal of experience doing weddings, and they know exactly what to expect every part of the way. It was perfect in every way and we received so many comments about how wonderful the food was and how attentive and unbelievably professional and gracious the staff was. The stellar and incredibly reliable and professional Shannon McCormick was our event coordinator and she was with me every step of the way, going way above and beyond her job requirements. Shannon responded to my emails in record time and was thorough and patient throughout the entire process. The food was only the tip of the iceberg with ND. Delicious, fresh, beautifully prepared, and simply fabulous food. As total NYC foodies, my husband and I were very particular about what we wanted to serve and Shannon and her crew were more than willing to work with us on a menu that we would be happy with. And we were SO impressed with the food! All of our friends and family are well aware of how serious we are about food and definitely expected a good wedding meal. ND helped maintain our party-throwing reputation by absolutely killing it with the food, dessert, and service. Let me get to the event planning - I decided to forgo the $10,000 wedding planner and try my hand at wedding planning, which worked totally fine because I had Shannon if I needed advice or had a question. Shannon held my hand and guided me through the rentals, menu selections, organized the bar for us, and put up with a few last minute crises like a champ. I highly recommend hiring ND to do your week-of and day-of coordinating. The week before the wedding, Shannon, also an excel genius, collected the names and numbers of all my other vendors, called them, confirmed with them, triple checked and quadruple checked everything. On the day-of, Shannon was running the show with such expertise that everything went PERFECTLY. And when I say perfectly, I mean absolutely nothing went wrong and neither my husband nor I had to worry about a thing. Our guests were bowled over by the staff - they were phenomenal in every way and took such good care of Aaron and I, our family and our guests. From serving Prosecco from the minute people walked in, wowing everyone with delectable appetizers, to being friendly and just plain NICE to everyone. Outstanding. And I've got more! From the second we arrived at The Foundry, the wedding party was taken care by the unbelievable Chris who brought us food, water, and Prosecco while we waited for everyone to arrive. When it came time for the big moment, Chris did some serious wedding party wrangling, got everyone in place and lined up for the ceremony, made sure bridesmaids and groomsmen knew what they were doing and just made the ceremony seamless. When it came time for my walk down the aisle. He reminded me to breathe, helped carry the train of my dress down the stairs, made sure I didn't tumble down the stairs, reminded me to breathe again, and handed me off to my parents. Immediately after the ceremony was over and my husband and I had walked back up the aisle, Chris was there waiting for us with two glasses of champagne, the most thoughtful touch. The rest of the night was just phenomenal in every way and I thank Shannon, Chris, the chefs, staff, and everyone else at Naturally Delicious for making it a flawless night. What I love most about Shannon and ND is that they never told us that we had to do something a certain way, or said that something wasn't done that way or jus wouldn't work. Shannon also gave us suggestions and honest advice when we asked for it, but never told us we had to do something a certain way. Your wedding is a reflection of you and your future spouse's personalities, values, tastes, etc, etc; Shannon helped us realize our wishes in every way possible. I never got anxious, nervous, or worried because I knew Shannon and ND would be amazing and I could completely rely on them for making our wedding perfection. We were in awe how ND thought of every little detail and made our night and our memories of our wedding so enjoyable. Naturally Delicious catered our wedding at The Green Building last Friday. From the start, our event planner, Bethany Pickard, was incredibly organized, flexible and easy to work with. The food was fantastic - our guests could not stop raving about it. WE also did our bar package through them and they helped us estimate exactly what we would need and were almost completely right! Bethany was on the ground the entire night and was incredibly helpful in maintaining the flow of the night. I didn't hire a wedding planner and didn't realize that I could have used one until we got closer to the date. With Naturally Delicious and Bethany, however, I didn't need one. My wedding was simply the best day of my life. Every detail, from the particular processional my wife had in mind, to the food, the drinks, the reception layout, the florals, the music, just everything was perfect and so much of that is due to Naturally Delicious and their coordination. We held our wedding and reception at the Prospect Park Picnic House in late March, and chose Naturally Delicious as our caterer. Even before we hired them, Shannon McCormick went out of her way to explain all the costs that go into the food, rentals and service (since at the Picnic House the caterers bring everything in except the tables and chairs) and help find ways to keep costs down but still have a great party. Then after we met in person at the ND offices (and tasted the food), we knew they were the caterer for us. I was really impressed by Shannon's responsiveness during the planning process, including picking out linens/tableware, coordinating our bar, and suggestions for everything from decor to signature cocktails. She took over all the vendor contact info, as well as our place cards, favors, etc. a few days before and did all the day-of coordination, which meant I could relax and enjoy the rehearsal dinner and other pre-wedding stuff. During the event itself, she was an amazingly calm, capable presence making everything run smoothly. Everyone loved the food; they made a special Puerto Rican pernil, or roasted pork dish for us, and it was a huge hit. The rest of the ND staff was also outstanding--they made sure we both got a plate of the passed appetizers after our cocktail hour photograph session, as well as a full plate from the buffet and dessert table and drinks from the bar, so we could mingle and dance. With their help, our wedding was a truly fun and stress-free night from beginning to end--I can't recommend them highly enough. read more

The best decision we made in terms of our wedding has to be working with Naturally Delicious. We were very budget conscious in all aspects of wedding planning, but the food and atmosphere were most important to us and therefore worth spending extra on. After the wedding was over, I kept saying how incredibly worth it it was to have Naturally Delicious every step of the way. We were originally working with Emily Sullivan in the beginning stages of wedding planning (tastings, rental shopping, etc.) However, we found out a couple months before our wedding that Emily was leaving. That could easily be anxiety producing news for a bride, but Loren swooped right in and assured us that everything would be a seamless transition and not to worry. Enter Lisa Brooks. Lisa expertly took over in her fun and fabulous way. She is detail oriented, upbeat, positive and reassuring. You can tell she has done this many times before and you can certainly trust her judgement and expertise. We knew were were in good hands moving forward and I feel like we not only had a fantastic wedding coordinator, but a new friend. The day of our wedding ran as smoothly and perfectly as could be. We literally didn't have to worry about one thing and could just enjoy the day. Lisa's assistant, Hannah, was lovely bringing appetizers to us while we were taking photos, to making sure I always had a drink on the dance floor. She was extremely helpful, but never intrusive. I can't express enough how grateful we are to Naturally Delicious for carrying out the wedding of our dreams. The food shined, the atmosphere was glowing (maybe that was just me) and we are left with nothing but great memories. Absolutely the best and I'd recommend them to anyone. Naturally Delicious catered out wedding at the Brooklyn Historical Society last month and everything from the food to the ceremony went perfect. People still haven't stopped writing to me to say how much better the food was than any wedding they can remember going to and we definitely have ND to thank for that. Shannon, our event planner, was super organized and awesome to work with. She definitely made the day a success and we couldn't have done it without her. Naturally Delicious made the most beautiful jewel-like party favor chocolates for my parent's 50th golden wedding anniversary party. Not only did I learn that no job is too small for them I found that they apply their attention to detail to everything they touch. Their pastry chef offered up a fantastic list of flavors for us to choose from and Loren, the owner, even took the time to customize the packaging by tying a beautiful gold ribbon around each box. We had the best experience with Naturally Delicious! From the beginning, Elisabeth was terrific in helping us plan and refine our summer BBQ casual menu and was super accommodating to our last minute changes (rain date, adjusting party size, do we want extra chairs?, etc.). When it arrived the day of (right on time), everything was fresh and delicious and plentiful. And we have plenty of yummy leftovers so no need to cook this week! ;) Also, we had a server stay with us for the day - Janine. She could not have been more wonderful. She jumped right in and helped with all elements (even those that the ND team wasn't strictly responsible for) - with her big smile and great personality. She did an amazing job throughout, freeing me up to enjoy the party and the guests, and she went above and beyond to help clean more than she needed to. I would want Janine back again in a heartbeat.
