Some of the best tasting donuts in the city. Not cheap, but donuts are huge and fresh. Hibiscus is refreshing and zesty. Boston crème a classic. Even Homer Simpson would approve of these donuts.
Came back years later to a different location and the donut was just at cakey and staff just as friendly.
I had the strawberry vegan donut and a pumpkin latte and the donut specifically was really delicious. I usually like doughnut plant but these are my favorite now. I came after yoga class cuz I ain't on no diet. Love the vibe don't have kids but the toys are such a good touch. I love the poster board with community flyers.
I've seen quite a few dough locations over the years but never made it in. After being on my feet for quite a few hours and walking by, it seemed like the perfect afternoon pick me up! Happened to be a Sunday around maybe 3 and there were still a good amount of options for donut flavors. I'm not big on specialty so split a plain glazed with one other person. These donuts are very big! They were a tad more expensive than I expected but still within the normal range for the city. It was soft and pretty dense despite it looking airy. It gave more bread energy than dessert but a solid donut in a pinch.
This was the perfect first stop after my friend ran a marathon nearby at Prospect Park. The donuts are fresh and delicious and there are a lot of flavors to choose from. The server was very friendly and offered a lot of suggestions. we shared the original glazed, Boston cream, Dubai chocolate, strawberry, Nutella, and Dulce de Leche. Though all of them were delicious, the Nutella was our favorite- it was the perfect serving of Nutella and we all enjoyed the sprinkle of powdered sugar on top. There are only like two tables to sit inside, so I recommend grabbing it and finding a nice spot outside. The donuts are huge and my group of four couldn't finish the six we ordered so we had leftovers for breakfast the following day. Highly recommend Dough and will be back when I'm in town again.
Very pleased with my Vegan donuts that I grabbed from here. I love that they even have Vegan options. The only options that they have so far are plain glaze and cinnamon sugar. But I'm hopeful that there will be more vegan flavors in the near future. **crosses fingers** You can't really tell that there were alternative ingredients used in both of the donuts. I got a hint of something citrusy or sour-like every now and then but I feel like if you're used to having vegan sweet treats then you know it's whatever they used as their egg alternative. It wasn't off putting at all! I really did enjoy both donuts. Something that was a plus for me is that both weren't overly sweet. It was the perfection level of sweetness... one that you don't have to be guilty about. I wanted to try the other donuts but I was past my dairy intake levels already. Whenever I don't have too much dairy in my week, I'll definitely be back to try out the other flavors. I should add that I'm not vegan but I enjoy vegan desserts and pastries because I do have a dairy intolerance. More of an acne issue rather than a stomach issue. It's so unfortunate but I love finding places like Dough that have vegan options. I went on a Thursday afternoon during one of my work breaks. I arrived to an empty store (which I very much prefer lol). So service was super quick for me!! However, I have heard of this place being really busy. Especially during morning rush and the weekends. The space is pretty awesome. I love that it is parent-kid friendly; they have seating for kids and some items for them to play with. It makes my mommy heart happy whenever I see a place tailoring to parents and their kids.
Came here and picked up a plain glazed doughnut. The glazing was not too sweet and the correct texture. My only comment is the doughnuts are rather thick if you want a thinner doughnut this store will not be for you
Best doughnuts ever. Have been going to the fort Greene location and missed it dearly when it closed few years ago so I am glad to know they opened a new Brooklyn location. My favorites are the Boston cream pie and both the dulce de leche/café au laite. I really wanted the hibiscus donut but it always gets sold out so hopefully next time I make it in time.
It's a cute place.. idk y I didn't read yelp 1st.. I was slippin ..please remember the name "DOUGH"because that is what you'll be eating a piece of thick dough. had a 5 mile walk so we thought we deserved a doughnut and opted for this place. They had a lot of variety one strawberry shortcake glaze and dulce . All the donuts taste like a thick cake that needed butter, I like an airy light donut. I wouldn't come back here. I don't like cake for a doughnut. And all the donuts are $5.65 basically because you're getting like a mini piece of cake no thanks
Dropped by for a quick snack while walking around the neighborhood. Donut was soooo goood. Very sweet and rich with flavor. Service was fast and very helpful. Lovely interior and vibe. Would visit again :)
I love this Dough location! I never encounter any lines, and the service is speedy. The donuts are around $5-6. They have inside seating and you can always find a seat.
My favorite is the hibiscus donut from here. They have lots of other favorable flavors to choose from. They also have some vegan options. I love how fluffy the dough is as well. I recommend a try.
I want more berry and tropical flavors but you cannot go wrong at Dough! Big, luscious, pillowy yeasty donuts, artisinally glazed with flavors that include Mango Coconut, Dulce de Leche, Blueberry Lemon, Strawberry Shortcake and Hibiscus. One will get you right, a box must be shared. Plenty of flavors for everyone to enjoy. Bring your paycheck, as you're gonna pay half of the mortgage for these delights but they're well worth every penny!

I used to frequent Dough ~10 yrs ago and haven't really had it since, so this box was certainly a nice treat! Our box included: Ube, Cafe Au Lait, Strawberry, Blueberry Lemon w Oat Crumble, Glazed, and Chocolate. The Ube one was the only doughnut in the box that had a filling. Everything else was pretty much just the glaze. My faves of the selection was Cafe Au Lait + Blue every Lemon w Oat Crumble! These obv go great with a bev to wash the sweet down. It lasts AT MOST 2-3 days post purchase, otherwise it starts to become stale quickly, so be mindful. A treat that's good to cut into and share a few! read more

My first ever experience with DOUGH was at this Brooklyn location. Quaint and cozy, there's just enough room inside for your eyes to fall in love before your tongue is smitten with delicious dough (doughnuts). If you're early enough AND lucky enough, you'll have the option to choose whatever flavor you'd like. Or else, plenty will be gone before you have a chance to pick. It's cool to be able to see a glimpse of the process happening behind the scenes/behind the counter as you wait. My absolute favorite is the lemon poppyseed doughnut. The taste matches the name perfectly! What a delicious pairing! read more

My first time visiting this location and it won't be my last! We got the cocoa nibs and the dulce de leche donuts. Both were very tasty! The donuts were more cake-y and yeasty so they were more on the heavy side. The interior had a cute seating area, which wasn't crowded. Overall, a great place to come to share a couple of donuts. read more

Nothing much to say about Dough: now a Brooklyn institution, they recently opened a new store on Vanderbilt Ave. in Prospect Heights. Their menu feature their all year-round flavors such as plain glazed, hibiscus, dulce de leche, mocha-almond crunch, nutella, etc... plus seasonal flavors and also vegan options. When I visited the seasonal flavor was the Brooklyn chocolate blackout, which is not currently available on their on-line menu. Unfortunately at 11am it was already sold out. We had the hibiscus, mocha-almond crunch, and the red velvet cheesecake. I'm not a huge fan of doughnuts in general, as the inside is a bit dry for me, the outside often greasy, and the glaze overpowering. These doughnuts, though, were very balanced: the glaze was very rich without being overpowering, and the inside was fluffy[1]. Perhaps the mocha-almond crunch was the one I liked the best, as I could taste the coffee flavor but also everything else. Do you like doughnuts? What are you waiting for, then?! -------------------- [1] Albeit still a bit dry. read more
WELCOME BACK TO BROOKLYN!!! However, I don't appreciate that this spot is two blocks away from my house. When it was on Lafayette & Franklin I would go every other month or two...but now that I'll be passing it almost everyday, my waistline is in serious trouble! The good thing is it takes me a few days to eat one soooo I guess I got lucky there. I've missed the Nutella and Cafe Au Lait donuts!! Yes, I know you can get it at retailers, but there's nothing like a fresh one from the actual spot. The spot is definitely bigger than the previous locale. Its weird that its no longer Joyce ( previous yummy spot), but I digress. I'm hoping when covid decides it's done that we'll be able to lounge there with a coffee and donut. The staff were super polite and sweet, which makes the buying experience even better. Yay to having yet another reason to add 20 mins to my workout. SIGH read more

Amazing doughnuts the staff is super friendly and nice. Got there right before closing and was able to snag a passion fruit with coco nibs and a mango coconut! Donuts are always chewy not overly sweet with a nice glaze. read more
Despite stopping by during evening hours, doughnut seemed fresh and soft. Tried the toasted coconut, no filling or cream as I'd expected but still good. Small selection of kombucha and drinks that were also interesting. Some inside seating and maybe 1-2 cafe tables. Efficient and friendly staff. read more

Let me start by saying what a joy the gentleman at the counter was. Super friendly and helpful. Also, this establishment was super clean and very cold on a very hot summer day. Now as for the donuts, eh. I didn't really care for them and I LOVE donuts. In my opinion, they are too bready and too big. I felt like I was eating a roll with toppings. read more
Love it! Still trying to understand the reason I have never visited this bakery pastry coffee shop in the past. I am truly mad at myself. Great customer service and wonderful creative doughnut assortments. I ordered a cappuccino with almond milk. Yes it was hot and delicious. I wanted to try the Vegan doughnut options so I went for the Vegan Hibiscus donut. It was an internal battle with choosing between the hibiscus or macha cheesecake. When I say delicious and mouth watering I ate it so slow. I wanted to truly savor the moment. There were options to sit inside but I opted for outdoor seating. This allowed me to truly soak in the sun and simply be a true New Yorker. How else can one, people watch and dog watch. It was really Courteous for store manager to put a little bowl of water for puppy friends. Great experience and delicious treats. Now I have to walk the block to burn a few calories. read more
What's better than donuts on a rainy day?! I can think of a few....but that's not for this page....don't judge me lol. Anyway, I've been anxious to go to Dough for a while now and finally made it there today. Let's start with the aesthetics of the store, which was very charming. I wish, however, I could say the same for the customer service. I was a bit overwhelmed with all the delicious choices of donuts and started placing my order but was abruptly interrupted by..."How many do you want?" I replied, I'm not sure....and proceeded to place my order (ended up with 4). Anyway, I taste tested all 4 and from my first bite I was in love. They are fluffy and moist and each flavored donut lived up to their name. If you have a sweet tooth like myself, you won't be disappointed. I highly recommend. Enjoy! read more
I can't believe I've never reviewed this place, it's my absolute favorite donut shop! I first heard about them through smorgasburg although last time I went they weren't there so not sure if they are still a part of the event. The donuts here are delicious and fluffy and changed my entire outlook on what a good donut is. They are a bit pricey ($5-6 last time I went) but the size is worth the price! I've been to about 3 of their locations and have never had any issues with service. All the flavors are fantastic and unique. Highly recommend!! read more
So happy to have Dough in the neighborhood. I'm not a huge donut fan, but when I do have one... this cakey style is my favorite. I had to try a few different flavors (which were good) but honestly their classic glazed was my favorite. Will definitely go again! My also point of confusion is that they open later than I would expect for a donut shop. I'm very limited on when I can pop in to get one, because when I walk past on my way to the train in the morning (around 8am) they are still not open. But that's no reason to not give 5-stars! read more
Dough is back! The original dough which was founded in BKLYN is back in prospect heights. Opening day set the stage for brooklynites giving the shop love as the line was down the block all day. Now to the doughnuts. I am not a huge fan of many doughnuts to be honest but these ingredients are quality. They are quite dense and large. I am unsure how one would eat the whole thing in one sitting. 5 stars for flavors 3 stars with how big and heavy they are. Also the staff are nice and cordial. This place will crush in the neighborhood. read more

Unique flavored donuts in huge portions! Brought a beautiful selection of 6 donuts for a recent BBQ. The donuts looked great and were perfect sharing size to try the different flavors. Happy with our choices of: Vegan hibiscus, dulce de leche, margarita, lemon poppy, mocha almond crunch, and Nutella. Great serving for $27. Unrushed and polite service at this location! read more

We have been doing tastings of the different donut shops in NY and today we decided to try Dough. These donuts are huge and heavy, which now I understand why they are on the pricier side. They are nice looking. To me, this isnt a donut. It is dense and dry, more like a sweet breakfast bread or brioche type. I would say it is more of a pastry. I definately should have gotten a cup of coffee to dunk it in. I couldnt eat a whole donut. read more

Stopped by right around the time they opened. There was still the smell of fresh paint. It was the end of the day, so there were only a few options left. Just had to get the Brooklyn Blackout since that was their exclusive for returning to Brooklyn. If you like chocolate and sweet... and pudding filled donuts, then that's the one for you! It's messy though! Staff was super nice. Will definitely be back! read more
I tried this new location. I've been going to the original location on Franklin for 10 years before they closed down. I'm not sure if this is a different owner or they changed their recipe, but it's much more dense than the original. Though I must say the customer service was friendly and upbeat. read more
