My two personal recommendations are: Indigo Bloom. A summery drink thats fruity, vibrant, and topped with I believe mint and flowers. Reverie. It's such as elegant drink. It's velvety, with cocoa nib spice notes and a creamy head. Taste each layer individual then together it was amazing. Beyond the drinks, the service made the night exceptional. Sebestian and James were attentive and professional, making sure every detail in each drink were right. It was exciting watching them create these amazing cocktails. Satyam, honestly is a natural talent. He is passionate about hospitality and making guests feel welcome. He has an energy that makes the bar experience feel personal and special. Keep him he is amazing. Overall, the combination of beautifully crafted cocktails and outstanding hospitality makes this a must-visit spot. I'll definitely return with friends.

The bartender was excited and talked a lot about the products available. We spent roughly $60 or $70 and had a fantastic time. Today, Saturday August 8th, we thought we'd do the same thing since we were in the neighborhood. It was almost as if we experienced two different restaurants. My wife needed to use the restroom, so she did that first and sat down at the bar. Immediately, the person behind the bar told me "We aren't doing drinks, just food." I was then told that cocktails don't start until 4pm (which is wild, because it was around 1pm when we were there back in May!). I wasn't offered a list of drinks that were available, just told "No drinks." The bartender then added "Everything we have is zero proof," as if I was going to be upset about that. Of course I already knew this -- that's why I was there! The whole experience was extremely unwelcoming. At that point my wife came back and was looking over the brunch menu. I had wanted to leave, but she decided on a hibiscus tea... which it took her about five minutes to order, because we couldn't find anyone to take our order in spite of there being three front-of-house employees and only four patrons in the entire place. Ultimately I had a club soda (which was $4 for 7 ounces!) and we did the crossword and left. So we spent about $15 total, instead of the $60 we spent back in May -- and which we were planning to spend today on two rounds of NA cocktails. I worked service industry for a long time (over a decade), and the vibe I get from this place is that no one in management has done the service industry time that it takes to know how to run a place like this well. It has that feel of top-down lack of experience. It's a shame, really, because this place has so much potential and there's not really anything like it in the neighborhood. But as it is, they are basically just walking away from all the money we'd gladly spend there if the place made any sense or did a good job of being, y'know... a bar and restaurant. One note: I'm attaching an image of my receipt, because I have noticed the owner likes to claim that reviews are by people who went to some other restaurant and were just confused about Mockingbird. I waited over 10 minutes for someone to take my drink order and made eye contact with a staff member behind the counter several times. Every time, she gave me a half smile and went back to looking at her phone. I asked another employee about a drink on the brunch menu and he just said "it's basically an orange Julius" and then went back to ignoring me. There were three employees and only 4 customers - literally no excuse to be rude and dismissive of the people who are there to give you their money. Unless some serious changes are made in re service, this establishment will probably shut down in 3 months.
