It's a cool little hole in the wall shop that serves true creamy Japanese soft serve, which in my experience, is kind of rare to find. No interior seating, but there is a fairly large outdoor patio area with plenty of seats to people-watch. --Service Cashier was very nice. No complaints. --Food -Strawberry Tiramisu (5/5) I'm a big lover of strawberry flavored items & this definitely hit the spot. Sweet, but not tooo sweet. -Toki Whiskey Caramel Soft Serve (5/5) This was a seasonal item I believe. But it's a vanilla soft serve with an alcoholic whiskey caramel, which was so creamy & rich. Towards the end however, the caramel kinda turned strong, guess all the whiskey was at the bottom! -High Balls They also sell canned high balls which is like a Japanese whiskey seltzer (?); I haven't seen them in stores very often so grab them while you can. Highly recommend the Yuzu flavor. They even allow you to drink them at the patio. --Overall Any true soft serve shop will be a 5/5 in my book. I came to Baiten unplanned and I was so pleasantly surprised. It's a hole in the wall icecream shop and had no line when I was there. The server was quick and nice. I got the matcha soft serve and the presentation is just as beautiful in person as online. It looks like it will be really strong matcha flavor but the syrup was a little faint in taste actually. It still paired great with the creamy vanilla soft serve but I wish the flavor profile was just a little more intense so the matcha could shine. Next time I will try the yuzu though. Parking was available around the corner. The menu was pretty clear but there was a lot of small little signs providing different options and alternatives which were hard to see. We only found out after we ordered that we could have done a flight to try out all the flavors. This place was so good we came back twice during our 3 day trip! I'm usually used to getting soft serve that has flavor mixed in, but I really enjoyed that this place put the flavor as a syrup. I usually get off work at 3 and was headed to my dad's Friday so decided to have him swing by Baiten to grab dinner to go. I also had been craving the Kinako Rusk I had bought the first time i went there. Can't really think of any other place that makes Rusk in town. I also picked up one of their hpusemade yuzu sodas and a hojicha soft serve to go. We ate the soft serve in the car and dinner at dad's. Big thank you to the individual taking my order no rusks were bagged so they bagged four for me. The pieces were a little smaller and darker than last time but still just as tasty. My dad enjoyed the katsu curry. I had the Aloha Bento which had Chicken Karaage and poke was a perfect portion. Both were packed nicely napkins and utensils provided. I knew the curry would be good cause I had last year at their sister restaurant Rondo for a lunch special celebrating their anniversary I like that they offer the lunch specials at Baiten since I'm not often in the area during the evening. It is a window /door ordering though there are a few tables to eat at outside and I'm guessing may be able to use the Tamari Bar covered seating outside as well as the hot food is coming from their kitchen. read more

I love the japanese flavors and they have the cutest fruit sandos! I have tried three flavors: yuzu, hojicha, and black sesame. The soft serves are $6 each which includes the icecream with syrup, but you can upgrade to a deluxe sundae for $11 which has more toppings (crackers, jelly).
