The drinks were amazing and I'd totally come back for the hojicha with grass jellies. My partner also loved his egg coffee. The food menu doesn't really have any vegetarian or vegan options though so we ultimately were disappointed and chose not to order anything to eat. The service was polite and helpful with modifications to drinks. The vibes were very modern and sleek, but they close up on the dot. I wish they had boba straws for the jellies but other than that I really enjoyed my drink. This location has very different vibes from the Fremont location, which is interesting and I don't think I'd have made the connection outside the name and having been to their other location before.
The matcha here is delicious! I got the gloomy matcha and the sesame cream on top added a unique taste with the matcha that I really enjoyed. I'd love to try their banana matcha next time. It was really aesthetic inside but pretty loud/busy inside.
This place is so cute!!! The vibe was vibing. We got a banana and pandan matcha. They were both so very good. We highly recommend. And then we got a bahn mi and croissant bahn mi. They were fast with the service and both were delicious. I preferred the bread on the regular bahn mi than the croissant bread. It had a better bite to it. There was plenty of seating. We managed to find parking in front of the restaurant. We were able to take a nice walk on the pier afterwards.
I love that they opened a new location in this area, and I love the wooden minimalistic in the shop. I ordered their pandan matcha and received a pager for when my order would be ready, which was less than 10 minutes. The pandan tasted of quality and added a subtle, fragrant sweetness that paired well with the earthy matcha. The drink itself was overall smooth, well-balanced, and not overly sweet. I'd love to come back in the future to try some of their food items!
I am IN LOVE with the new waterfront location! It's in a beautiful spot, the space is large, and the vibes are great. My friend and I came to get lunch and hang out on a Friday around lunchtime. I liked both of the items we got - broken rice w/ grilled pork and banana brulee croffle. But the portion sizes are huge. We had trouble finishing all this food! My go to drink from Aroom is always the Black Sesame Latte, and it did not disappoint at this new location. I'm really excited to keep coming back to this space!
This space was so pretty with plenty of light shining through and a nice view of the water. There was a lot of seating throughout the space, but also a lot of folks working on their laptops, so seating may be a hit or miss. I got the sesame latte for an afternoon pick-me-up and it was divine. There's just something about cold coffee being served in cups meant for hot beverages that make it a hundred times better. Anyway, the latte itself was a perfect balance of sweet, creamy, and nutty, and you can easily tell the care and precision that went into making it. If it wasn't a Vietnamese coffee, I would've ordered another one!
Got some coffee here and was very awake for the rest of the day!! If you need a fast wake up, you should come here. I got the salty coffee (iced) and it was VERY sweet, I would categorize this in the "sweet treat" category becuase it was so sweet. Finally I don't have to go too far to Fremont to get Aroom and their black sesame! It's very chill inside here with chill music and relaxing decor, with seating for mostly groups of two and a long table with lamps to do laptop work in. This place basically fits the typical cafe feel even though it's smack dab near the noisy Alaskan Way where the even more bustling Waterfront is. Luckily, most of that noise is dulled when you're inside here. Seating was full for the most part on a Friday afternoon around 3pm when I came but people came and went often except in the work study tables so I got a small table for myself. Menu has food and drink, though drinks are what most people seemed to go for. You scan a QR code near the front counter to access the menu, or you can just look at their menu up at the counter. Staff at the front were very welcoming and kind, and made the orders quickly. I got their gloomy matcha, which has ceremonial matcha and sesame creme. The sesame creme is strong and balances with the matcha. I had this with whole milk and the sesame in this drink definitely stands out a lot more. It's not too strong but it still hits really well and complements the already strong matcha especially when mixed. I've been seeing myself wanting more black sesame flavored food and drink now, so I'm happy I can get that fix here! There's a ton other drinks I wanna try the next time I come back here, along with their foods as well since this location actually does serve it unlike their Fremont one. Both location though have high quality drinks that I recommend to anyone!
Beautiful cafe perfect for studying or hanging out between exploring the city. The waterfront location is spacious and bright with a modern decor, with plenty of seating options. Serves food and drinks. The coffee here runs on the sweeter side because of the creams and condensed milk used in a lot of their offerings. The staff are very friendly and they let you know they would remake your drink if you're not satisfied.
Having been long-time fans of their Fremont spot, we were excited to check out this new location; and it's incredibly chic. We ordered the sesame latte and the egg coffee, both of which lived up to our high expectations. There's something perfect about the way the bold kick of Vietnamese coffee balances out the savory nuttiness of the sesame and the rich, custard-like sweetness of the egg cream. The service was excellent, consistent with our previous visits, and the vibe is wonderfully clean and minimalistic.

I've been to Aroom before to try their drinks, but when I heard they opened a new location with food I am there! The new spot is in a great waterfront location with beautiful views. Street parking can be a bit difficult, but it's Seattle what do you expect? Walking in, the space is very spacious with plenty of seating. Everything feels clean, modern, and aesthetic, reminds me of café shops in Vietnam! Black Sesame Latte: My boyfriend got this drink but I ended up drinking most of it bc I was genuinely shocked by how creamy and nutty the sesame cream was in the best way possible!! I was blown away. Mixed with the coffee, it's incredibly well-balanced and smooth! Pandan Matcha: Same story with the cream layer thick, rich, and packed with pandan flavor. I don't know how they do it, but some of the best cream tops I've ever had. The matcha itself is good nothing too crazy but it pairs well with the pandan cream. Bánh Mì Xíu Mại: I absolutely loved this dish. Crispy, soft, buttery bread paired perfectly with the sweet and savory meatballs. This is one of my favorite childhood dishes, so I am a big fan! The salted egg yolk also adds another layer of flavor that I never had before but great addition. It tastes very homey and comforting! Cơm Tấm: Another favorite. The flavors are very well-balanced and not overpowering, and the fish sauce really ties everything together. Presentation was beautiful and very visually appealing. But for $22, the portions can be a slight bigger in my opinion lol but overall still very solid. Overall, I'm a big fan of this place. From the clean, aesthetically pleasing ambiance to the fast and efficient service and delicious drinks and food. I can't wait to see what Vietnamese flavors they bring out next! Quick shoutout to the website too, love the aesthetic of it!
Great cafe workspace and hangout spot near the waterfront, definitely a place cafe lovers and tourists will enjoy. The space is large, beautiful, and minimalist, and the staff are very sweet. Food was great. Drinks were a bit disappointing. The specialty drinks (black sesame, matcha pandan, tasted nothing like pandan, banana coffee, banana overpowered the coffee) tasted watered down and the flavors didn't blend well. Prices are expensive, which is expected for the downtown waterfront. I'd come back for the squid pasta and Vietnamese coffee, but skip the specialty drinks.
Great spot for some popular flavored Vietnamese coffee and matcha. They have great selections like banana pudding, sesame and pandan that you can order pair it with your base. Gloomy Matcha (5/5) Great thick rich sesame topping swirled in with a strong matcha taste. This is always a wonderful combination that is difficult to master and I think they hit it right with the correct ratios where sesame and matcha doesn't overpower one another. I suggest opening the top and playing around with the flavor with your straw. Sweetness was not adjusted as they recommended and it's just right to me and not too sweet. Great place to hangout with a semi waterfront view and trendy interior with great music. Service is very fast despite the crowd and cashier was polite and friendly. Unfortunately I already had breakfast and I saw a lot of good plates so I'm definitely coming back to try their food and report back. read more

The best coffee in the best location! I am a huge fan of Aroom and my one gripe with the Fremont location is how little seating space there is and how cramped it feels inside. This spot solves that problem and still serves the same amazing coffee! I got the black sesame latte which is my favorite thing here. They have plenty of tables and a ton of natural lighting, and there is also free wifi so you can do some work. One of my favorite spots! I need to try the food next :) read more
Ordered the sesame latte, pandan latte, and banh mi. Sesame latte was great. Tasty, not too sweet. But the consistency gets tiring after a while -- better enjoyed in one sitting, as opposed to having it on the go. Pandan latte was disgusting at first sip. Tasted artificial. But it grew on me as the coconut mixed with the pandan better. The pork in the banh mi was very tender. Great ambience. It's a nice "social" cafe with fun specialty lattes, but don't go there expecting good coffee. read more

Chill, quiet cafe atmosphere. Staff were kind and our drinks were made pretty quickly! If you'd like a quieter cafe to be productive, this place will definitely serve your needs. 3/5 - Pandan Matcha - The drink tastes very much more matcha than pandan, though I expected more of a 50/50 taste blend. If you're looking for more matcha than pandan, this drink will meet your expectations. read more

This is our second time here and I love this place so much! I would say it's my top 3 favorite!! Their black sesame coffee is my most favorite!!! I asked for oat milk and I love that she warned me that sesame cream was made with dairy. She gave me a heads up for that. The coffee weren't not crazily strong even though it's Vietnamese coffee. I am usually so sensitive with caffeine. So if I have a lot I will be shaking all day. I got a large and did not get any shakes The first time we went there, there was a long line and no place to sit. We went during weekend too. The second time we went during weekdays and there weren't a lot people. So the best time to go is during weekdays! The whole place is sooo clean! Overall I will go back many many times! Checked out the new Aroom location near the waterfront and I really liked it. The views were nice and it's right in the middle of all the city hustle and bustle, which made it a fun spot to just sit and people watch. I got the egg coffee and the banana coffee -- both were good as always. The egg coffee was rich and creamy, and the banana coffee had that subtle sweetness that makes it super easy to drink. It looks like this location has food too, but I didn't try any this time. Service was nice and quick, and there's lots of seating which I appreciated. Definitely a solid spot to hang out. read more
The new aroom on the waterfront is about a two minute walk from my work. Great addition to the neighborhood and beautiful space. Visited on the first day of soft opening with a friend to congratulate the team. I frequent the Fremont location. A friend and I got to the shop about 9:45ish service was smooth and helpful as always. Had a bac siu that day. I have been back every week since to grab lunch or a beverage. The lunch menu is a welcome option. I have had a number of the dishes but my favorite is the said garlic noodles slight kick to eat beautifully prepared. Just making may way through the lunch menu and have brought a number of friend. read more

Aroom is a cafe staple of Fremont and now, is easily accessible downtown by the waterfront. Consistent, both Aroom locations offer a cozy ambiance for a nice casual hangout, solid study cafe, cute date spot, or a simple caffeine pick me up. This location also has food, which I believe isn't available at the Fremont location. Drinks here were equal to the ones at Fremont, delicious and high quality! Banana Matcha - generally, banana is a powerful flavor, but the matcha is evident here. I believe there's not a strong ratio of banana used here which is a good thing, because the grassy roots of matcha shine alongside a mild banana aftertaste. Without any adjustments, this one is a little more bitter and low on the sweet scale. Gloomy Matcha - black sesame always hits and it's no different here. Without adjustments, this one is on the sweeter end compared to the banana matcha. While the matcha still pops, the black sesame is powerful and tries to take the spotlight with the nutty, earthy flavor. Great balance of both flavors and a joy to the taste buds. One of my favorites across both Aroom locations. read more

I've had ALOT of Vietnamese coffee and have tried plenty in Vietnam as well, this spot does it right, tastes like it's from the homeland if not better, service was super quick and the aesthetic is clean and relaxed in there. Vietnamese coffee to try out by the waterfront! I had their Banana Coffee and it was good. It's definitely on the lighter/sweeter side, and there's not too much of the traditional Viet coffee taste in there. You'll definitely taste the banana, but I wished it wasn't so strong. The service was okay. The servers answered any questions we had, but I didn't get a friendly vibe from them. The coffee didn't take long to make. They offer foods as well, such as Banh Mi ($14), but the pricing is definitely high. I wouldn't recommend buying their food here. The ambiance is amazing and is the best part about this cafe. Huge space and decent number of seating. A great place to hangout and get some work done. You can also view the waterfront and the mountains from the store. read more
Aroom opened up a big space near the Pier and had to give it a try. The place is huge, spacious, has a lot of seating plus also serves food in this space. We tried the Pandan Matcha Latte and the salty coffee. Heads-up, it's pretty caffeine heavy, so just be aware. Overall, great options for coffee and ample seating to hang out with friends! read more
Banana flavor was def there, we went like 15 mins before closing so we couldn't stay but the place looks so nice. I've heard that their food food isn't as good but they are known for their coffee. I've also heard it gets really busy so idk about staying and studying but it seemed like a very nice place to sit and chat. First time ordering food here and wanted to see if it was worth trying. I ordered the banh mi ($14) flavor-wise it was solid, but the portion was a bit smaller than I expected. For drinks, we tried two: Iced Nutty Cloud (vegan) This one wasn't quite for me. The texture wasn't as thick or creamy as other nutty lattes I've had before, and it didn't have the signature cream foam on top that I was hoping for. Iced Tea Macchiato (green tea with guava) This was a standout. Very fruity with a slice of real fruit, and the thick, slightly salty cream foam on top really elevated the drink refreshing and well-balanced Overall, the service and wait time were reasonable during a weekday (Monday early afternoon). The cafe was clean and comfortable, and I enjoyed browsing their small merchandise corner . I'd love to see more items added in the future! read more
Giant store by the waterfront and the location gets really crowded on the weekends. They have Seattle around the space for groups or for individuals to work on laptops but I personally think it is a bit too loud and distracting for me. Great natural lighting and decor as well I can definitely see the aesthetic appeal. I like their sesame coffee and banana coffee and decided to try the banana matcha this time around. My total came to just under $10. They give you a pager to collect your drink back at the counter. My matcha wasn't quite filled up all the way compared to my friends' drinks and they do say you can ask them to remake drinks if it's not up to your liking. The matcha was good but the banana flavor was too minimal for my preference. Overall a nice treat but I would def recommend the banana coffee over the matcha. read more

Aroom's 2nd location! Just as amazing as the first, twice the size of the original, and even serves more bites! Located by the Waterfront, a little more tough to get parking compared to their Fremont location, but I heard it's quite easy to visit by public transit. Free street parking Sunday though, like most of Seattle. The interior is beautiful, with a consistent aesthetic similar to their other location. Also much more spacious, good amount of seating, and a great place to meet up with friends. Service is also very friendly. My friend and I came for the first time last week, and he ordered the com tam plate. We only waited 10-15 minutes, but one of the staff came by and apologised for the wait and comped his drink. I thought it was funny since the wait didn't feel that long anyways, but they told us the timing wasn't to their standard. I'm impressed that they thought of doing that despite it not being necessary, but very much appreciated. My friend enjoyed the com tam, it was his first time trying the dish too, so a job well done by the kitchen. I myself ordered their bac siu, always a great drink with no faults. While the Fremont location is more convenient for me, I'll definitely be stopping by here again soon, maybe even this weekend! read more
Love aroom! The coffee here is so good - would highly recommend cold brew or egg coffee (hot). The food here also looks very good, they have fresh pastries from macrina. The service is also great here, they always offer to remake your drink if it is not to your liking. The vibes in here are also nice, a lot more seating than the Fremont location! read more

3.5-4 Aroom's new location by the waterfront is well decorated and has plenty of seating. I came at 10am on a Sunday and there were so many tables open (but by 11:30 most of the seats were filled). This was my first time trying their matcha. They didn't have the unsweetened version available, so I went with 50% sweetness. It had an artificial vanilla(?) taste to it which I wasn't a fan of. I am a big fan of their cream tops though, especially the black sesame. I've tried their vietnamese coffees at their other location and I think those might be better than the matcha in my opinion. read more

This place is so much bigger then their Fremont location and I love how it's by the pier. Great location and interior. A lot of seating and great place to get work done or study. I got their black sesame matcha and it was really good. It has a nice sweetness to it but not overpowering. The sesame cream gave it a good nutty flavor. I didn't get any good this time but might give it a go next time I come by!! Great service too, everyone was very nice read more
Been waiting for Aroom to open their second location and it did not disappoint! More spacious than their original location with lots of seating. For their current soft opening they have 3 food items on their menu- I tried the grilled pork and broken rice plate, it had beautiful plating and was super flavorful. My friend and I got the banana latte and matcha, both 10/10. Friendly folks at the counter, warm space and vibes, can't wait to see the full menu when it drops. 10/10! Came on a Monday morning with absolutely no wait and plenty of tables to sit around. The ambiance is also amazing, I love how chill everything is and the staff was knowledgeable in what drink to order. We went with the cloudy matcha & salted coffee. Both drinks are definitely up there on our top choice of places to come back to for coffee. read more
aroom's waterfront location is huge and bright! i love the vibes in there. there were people studying and chatting. their staff were attentive in making the space clean. my bestie and i got their gloomy matcha and pandan matcha. the black sesame cream top on the gloomy matcha was intriguing in a good way. however, it didn't pair too well with the matcha in my opinion because the cream top overpowered the matcha. the pandan cream top for the pandan matcha was a subtle flavor compared to the black sesame cream top. overall, i wasn't the biggest fan of the actual matcha, but their cream tops are yummy! read more
Cool location on the waterfront. Very excited for all these new spots in Alaskan Way. I got their sesame latte and it was good. Hints of sesame and not too sweet. The place was packed and the staff was super friendly. The cafe is a cool location and the design was great. Absolutely adore this location, the consistent yet unique ambiance carried thru Fremont's, ample seating, and as always of course, the drinks. Im glad its open till 5pm as a lot of coffee shops close much earlier than that around the area. The very walkable but secluded location is a perfect destination for all occasions. The staff was very accommodating and friendly with navigating through the menu as well. read more
