Amazing food, amazing service, people, and an absolute must of you're in Seattle!! 10/10

Cafe Remix is technically in Belltown but it's really close to Pike Place Market, so parking situation is still very similar to that of downtown Seattle; abysmal and hard to find. When you do get here, you're welcomed to a restaurant of many offerings, though their souffle pancakes have been making the most rounds on my social media as of late. There's many tables and some bar seating to sit at, and water and utensils are self-serve up near the front entrance when you're inside. Their menu is on a tablet at the front counter, and you can choose from souffles to lattes to sushi to a large selection of drinks to even bagels. For our food here: - We shared the strawberry matcha souffle pancake. It's jiggly which is perfect, and took maybe around 20 minutes to make. They give you a ton of sweetened matcha-flavored cream on the top of the pancake, and they don't skimp on the strawberry pieces either. Pancake was really fluffy and eggy inside. - My bestie got their ube latte, which tastes heavily of ube without the caffeine associated with coffee. Not too sweet, though it was a smidge watered down. - I got their rain fog, which was a coffee latte with whip cream and what looked and tasted like Oreo/coffee bits. Coffee was piping hot and stayed that way for our visit. Staff was really kind and answered all our questions pertaining to what was inside our lattes to keeping us in the loop when our souffle pancake would take slightly longer than expected. Cafe Remix is a must visit for the souffle. It's absolutely delicious and easily the highlight of the menu! However, the rest of the meal was a bit of a mixed bag. We tried the spicy tuna roll, shrimp tempura udon, and a matcha latte. The spicy tuna roll was massive, but it contains cream cheese, which wasn't quite my style. While it is filling, the quality was just average. The shrimp tempura udon was a bit disappointing, it tasted identical to the instant variety you can buy at Costco. While I actually like those fried shrimps(also from Costco), the price at the cafe should be lower for a pre packaged product. Lastly, the matcha latte was very weak mostly water with just a hint of matcha flavor. My recommendation: Come here for the souffle, but keep your expectations modest for the savory menu. read more

I spotted this place on Yelp and was excited to try their soufflé! Walking into the café felt more like stepping into a nightclub--dim lighting and music pumping at full volume. It made chatting with friends a bit challenging. We asked if they could turn it down since it was giving us a headache, and thankfully, the staff were super accommodating and lowered it for us. Ordering is a breeze--you can use the tablet or go through the cashier, whichever you prefer. We tried a few soufflés and some kimbap, and everything was absolutely delicious. Cafe Remix is a nice spot nustled in the Belltown area close to Pike place. I walked here with a friend from another spot but parking is just street parking around Pike place as a heads up. It was a cute asian cafe that some people would study or just catch up with friends. They are usually busy making the Souffle Pancakes so make sure to be willing to wait for them. I wouldn't go out of my way for this but I just hate finding parking around the area. Staff: nice (4/5) Sanitation status: (4/5) Strawberry Matcha Souffle Pancake (5/5) I definitely envisioned more cream on top but it was still really good. The pancake was really fluffy and the sweetened matcha cream paired really nicely. Soufflé Pancake! It was yummy for the most part, but will say that the egg taste did end up bothering me. The cream on top was for sure delicious though! I believe there was a promotion going on at the time too where if you purchased a soufflé pancake, you got a scoop of ice cream. So heads up if it isn't offered anymore! It's really cute inside! The interior is light and welcoming, with many seats to choose from. They're constantly playing music, you'll see people doing work and hanging with friends. Overall experience was good! I've been dying to try the soufflé pancakes here and finally did! I came here after work on Thursday and was surprised to find I was the only one. Eventually a few ppl had shown up. The menu is so versed with drink options and pancakes. An UPDATE: there are now 2 sizes for the soufflé pancakes. Most of the pics here showed an old menu but they have since updated it to show: 1) small = $12 and 2) large = $22. 10/10: I got 2 fluffy small pancakes with matcha sauce and fresh strawberries. They have more sauce and toppings now! My goodness, these pancakes were SO delicious! They tasted eggy, fluffy and soft! The matcha sauce was perfect with the fresh strawberries. I'd get these again! They have stand mixers and i saw 3! They really take the time to make the dough from scratch. Thats why it takes about 15-25 mins to make...so be aware and have patience for the prep time. I also ordered the Einspanner and Bulgogi Kimbap. 8/10: The Einspanner was refreshing with sweet cream and a cookie on top. 5/10: The bulgogi was good and huge rolls but it was definitely hard to pick up and eat and would fall apart... 6/10: Service was just 2 guys and they were doing their best. My orders took a long time to come through but I was patient enough. The kimbap tho I thought would never come...but it did :) there were people that came in and out but I saw a couple and then 2 girls come and sit down to have drinks and a meal. It's definitely picture appealing. I'd come back again! I believe one of the guys was new or in training, only a slight assumption. And hope that the staff has more help next time! Cafe Remix advertises themselves as a no cash/no tax/no tip korean snack bar. I love the idea of prices with no hidden fees. Their menu is so cute and delicious with very reasonable prices. My friend and I ordered the Seoul Sandwich (without the ham) and the strawberry matcha soufflee pancake. The sandwich came out first and was delicious! There was so much flavor in every bite, and the little snacks it came with on the side were so yum. The soufflee pancake took some time to make (as expected) but it was also good. I know they are known for their pancakes, but I would recommend the sandwich instead. The pancake was a little lacking in flavor, but I still enjoyed trying it. I would definitely want to come back here to try some other menu items. I really wanted to rate this 5 stars, but there was one incident which felt rude to me. After finishing our food, we had half of our pancake left, so we asked for a to go box. Went I asked for 2 small ones, she said they didn't have small ones, but i clearly saw them back there. She handed me one really big tin to go box. I asked her if the smaller one next to it was available instead and she seemed really annoyed and handed me one (but I asked for 2). When I asked for another one, she, once again, looked annoyed and reluctantly handed me another. It made me feel like I did something wrong, which was really uncomfortable, and I would've appreciated better communication instead. I really liked the other people who were working, and they were very accommodating and answered our questions about the menu. They were also able to make the sandwich vegetarian. I wanted to try this place since they had their soufflé and I never had one before. Unfortunately it wasn't as amazing as I thought it was going to be. I thought it was going to be a lot more sweet, but it wasn't that sweet. The "jiggle" wasn't cool to see in the beginning. But overall, the taste was good/okay. It definitely isn't worth it too because it costed $22. We had it with strawberries and strawberry cream and it was good. The service was nice. The server was kind and helpful and gave us a sample of one of their deserts. The soufflé did take a bit of time to make. Maybe around 25 mins. But it does make sense since soufflés usually take long to make. The ambiance is cool. There's plenty of seating and there are a lot of Korean snacks throughout the store that they sell. We were in the area and looking for a place to grab lunch. We remembered this cafe wasn't too far away and had heard about it recently. We were able to find parking on 1st a few blocks over and walk down the hill easily. We thought it wouldn't be that crowded but almost all the table were full when we got there around 12:30. Cute little cafe with tables and counter tops for dining in. Two of us got the Seoul Street Sandwich, one got the bulgogi sandwich and I had the bulgogi kimbap. One of my friends also got the dukppoki. Portions were generous sandwiches and kimbap were $15 each the dukpokki was $7. They have soufflé pancakes that run about $22 with fresh fruit we opted out of that cause we had some baked goods at a popup before. Sandwiches come with a side of shrimp chips and onion ring snacks. Flavors of the savory was as expected is friendly and patient with new diners answering questions patiently. Beverages one had a dalgona strawberry, another a dalgona matcha and the other two of us had the Yuzu Blue. A little small, but delicious pancakes. I would recommend ordering ahead. Looks like they're only able to make 4 pancakes at a time and it seems to take quite a while. But def fulfilling. I went twice because the first time they ran out of eggs around 4 pm. I was very sad, but got a drink and it was really good!! Second time I got to try their pancakes! We came around 3 PM on a Sunday. This cute Korean snack bar had 'No Cash, No Tax, No Tip' signs everywhere--meaning sales tax was already included in the prices! The staff was very friendly and patient as we took our time deciding what to order. We ended up getting the Einspanner, Yuzu Ade, and Ube Corn Soufflé. We loved how everything looked and tasted! The soufflé was so fluffy and just the right amount for two people to share. Street parking was free on Sundays, but it took us a little time to find a spot. Came here for the soufflé pancakes that were mentioned on social media: IG & Tiktok. It's true, be patient with the process. I came on a Sunday afternoon and waited an hour and a half for the pancakes. Order a signature coffee or tea, grab a seat and hangout. When the pancakes arrived they were so fluffy, light and the toppings were perfect! I recommend to park in the parking garage across from the World Market called Market Place parking. OMG! i've been looking for pancakes like this forever! when i say they are 10/10, i mean it. and i never rate things 10/10. we picked the toppings-the ube was so sweet and rich, and the matcha was literally perfect (the strawberry's added a nice textural difference). the pancakes themselves were so fluffy and soft, almost like a marshmallow but not? the place is run by a mother/son duo, and they are so so sweet. they make the pancakes fresh to order right in front of you. it was quite special to see. the bulgogi kimbap was really good too, so fresh and had the perfect flavors. the dukpokki was ok. a little too fishy for me and the sauce was quite thin. i'm used to a thicker, more flavorful sauce. but if you enjoy the fish cakes- this is for you! the coffees were also really good. inside is super cute and welcoming. definitely recommend!!! read more

This place is absolutely lovely with gentle and caring staff that prepares delicious (and filling) food. The flavors were all great, there were no issues with the food taste wise. With that said the wait times and overall presentation brought the experience down. When we went, it wasn't particularly busy, there was never a line, but it took 80 minutes to get our food. We were told it would be approximately 45 for the soufflé pancake as those take longer but even the bagel sandwich which only needed to be assembled took an hour to get. Then after all the wait it felt like our pancake was just slapped together with half the toppings falling off of it. Hopefully it was just a bad day that we happened to intersect with because I like what they are doing it just needs to be more efficient. read more

Delicious soufflé pancakes! Full of jiggles, wiggles and yummyness. We came across this after another nearby place had a line that was too long to wait for. Such a good decision. The first time was the morning before we headed to our cruise ship. We bought the combos which included a small soufflé and a drink. The yuzu peach is my absolute favorite. That yuzu jam is freaking amazing. The matcha strawberry was also very good. The soufflés are a good size, sweet but not ridiculously so. We were thinking about it for days while at sea, lol. We came back from the cruise and of course hit it up again before our flight back home. Tried the chocolate banana this time and I'd rate it 3rd of the ones we ordered. Drinks are good too. The blue yuzuade had the same jam -- delicious! There are tables and bar seating. They also have other snacks and various drinks. Service is good but definitely give yourself at least 20min for the soufflés. The second day there were 2 orders in front of us and the wait was almost 45min. Still worth it. read more

Consider going to a place, where the staff treat every customer with honest care and love? Where the food is wonderful, and the place feels... good. Food first... my moment was to fulfill a lunchtime hunger. Today, it was rainy, a bit cold, so warm comfort food was on my mind. It was quiet, well past any lunch rush, and the two employees (who I assume run and own the place), instantly greeted me. Everything feels like you are in someone's passion project, and while there are a few details that aren't refined, such as the menu being piecemeal together on the counter, it's undeniable that they are concentrating on the food here. I ordered the Spicy Pork Bulgogi (불고기) Bento, which comes with a heaping portion of protein, Rice (with a nice sprinkle of toasted and black sesame seeds), and a container of Kimchee (김치). Starting with the protein... DELICIOUS. Tender, lots of meat, onions, and just the right amount of sauce, makes this the star. the rice, cooked and packed just right, soft, with the right bite, it feels like it was cooked like a pro. Next... the container of Kimchi, which is a refresher, also complementary, and tastes like the home made stuff my friend's mom used to make. Hot take: 15 bucks of perfection. They haven't been here long, but also, based on the other commenters, have a breakfast thing going on.. which I will want to try now... but Lunch was my plan, and mission accomplished... they know the assignment. I went here on a Sunday afternoon as my first meal of the day. The place was like a mixture of a cafe and a Korean general store. You can see lots of snacks, ramen, and baby (?) clothing. Outside of me and the people who worked there, I was the only one there. I ordered the Ube dalgona (creamy latte) and the matcha strawberry souffle. I never had a dalgona before but the Ube taste was weak and it felt like I was drinking cream. The souffle on the other hand was delicious, subtly sweet so it wasn't too overpowering. I wish I had a little bit more matcha sauce though. While I was ordering, I did get samples of the tteokbokki and the fish cake soup which I thought were really good and nice of them to give out. I came here with my friends on Sunday. We arrived around 11:15. The place was quite busy. Everything was freshly made at Remix cafe. We tried matcha milk tea, beef kimbab, ube pancake, mango pancakes and strawberry pancakes. We watched the staff made pancake mix and the super fluffy pancakes. It takes about 10-15 min to make per order. It took 1.5 hours for us to get our pancakes, the wait was very long, but the pancakes were also heavenly. this is kind of a lowkey spot, a block away from pike place. they have a lot of fun menu items, bagels, sandwiches, kimbap, coffee, tea, juices, and a whole bunch of snacks. came specifically for the jiggly souffle pancakes, and ordered the strawbery matcha one. it was a big pricey but they dont do tax/tip here, so it probably would have come out to that price anyways? the pancakes are made to order, so it did take a bit of time but that's ok! the pancakes were so light and fluffy, not too sweet, very reminiscent of the chiffon cakes from chinese bakeries! the matcha cream had a nice matcha flavor, but it quite sweet on its own, but paired well with the pancakes. we also ordered the bulgogi kimbap, which actually came with two large rolls! it was filled with flavorful beef and a lot of veggies. these seemed to be premade but were still tasty. lots of seating. it is quite loud inside, but the throwback kpop music they were playing was good! read more

Today was my first time trying Café remix and since I came in on Fourth of July, it was a little bit more busier inside. I ordered the soufflé pancakes with lavender and a side of Yuzu ice cream, but the pancakes we ordered were supposed to lavender but they were Ube instead. And we didn't want to make a big deal out of it since they were very busy and we waited around for 15-20 mins at that point. The soufflé pancakes were very airy and light kind of like egg whites. The Yuzu ice cream was fresh and citrusy. I also ordered an Ube drink which was creamy frothy and extremely nutty. The Personally, the soufflé pancakes would be a 6.8/10, only because I am not the biggest fan of soufflé pancakes, which I found out today LOL! The drink was a solid 9/10. The inside is super cozy, which most Korean places are like! They have utensils and it is a self clean station. The workers are very hard-working, so please be patient with them especially with the soufflé pancakes as from what I've seen you can only cook two pancakes at a time. I have tried to visit this place twice on the weekday after 12pm. Always locked with staff inside. It's very hidden because they don't have an overhead sign, and it's actually the location of the now-closed Aburiya Bento House, which was a great sushi place. I'm really looking forward to trying this place because it may be the only Japanese soufflé shop in Seattle. I want to say they're still figuring out logistics because there are no hours on their doors or a legitimate website. My understanding is that they were in soft opening until 2/1/25 but maybe they only do weekends? I am still eagerly waiting to sample this delicacy to update my review. :) read more

I've been so excited for their opening because there really is no place in Seattle that serves Japanese style soufflé pancakes. I've been wanting to come since the announcement but they were delayed opening. My biggest advice is to call them to verify their hours because they differ day to day. This is a cute little spot that has a variety of Korean dishes and tea varieties. The pancakes were really good, keep in mind when you order them that they take a while to make about 20-30 minutes. This place is also cash free, tax free and tipless as everything is included in their pricing. However I've noticed that their prices change daily as well. When I came in on a Tuesday the pancakes were $25, I've also seen $22 and $17 so it really does fluctuate. 3 stars because the pancakes were good but subtracted because hours and prices fluctuate daily read more
