Rolled ice cream with Oreos.
Lynn H.

Under new ownership/management and I totally dig their vibe. I had never heard of rolled ice cream before so tried it out on a hot sunny day. It was delicious and was made of only three ingredients and then the Oreos I added. It tasted like creamy homemade goodness. Next time I'm trying the banana one, because of course I'm coming back. It's a sweet dad and daughter run coffee shop. Check them out!

Stopped in spontaneously today and tried the rolled ice cream. Whoa. So fun to watch them make it right in front of you and it was incredible. Creamy, not too sweet, very cold and melts quickly in your mouth. I'm already craving more...

This place is a hidden gem. They are making frozen ice cream rolls with fresh fruit.and exclusively made with Thai ice cream machine. That is incredibly good. Plus with nicely shot coffee. From now on this is my happy place.

Just not good coffee. Tastes quite burnt and I ordered Hazelnut but it doesn't taste like that. Ordered a hemp milk decaf hazelnut latte

This is a quaint little coffee spot in Queen Anne. The mix of US and Turkish coffee and bakery is pretty cool. I liked the simit sandwich (vegetarian) and the chai latte. Both were really good and well made! The barista was very kind and friendly too. The ambiance is a little more come and chat with a friend over coffee than come and do work or read. Very much the cute little neighborhood coffee spot!

We stopped by because it was on the way where we were going. Was surprised with great espresso and service! Can't wait to go back.

Wonderful coffee shop on a tucked away block on 10th on Queen Anne hill. Our Air BnB was next door. What a treat for the neighborhood.

As you can see from my review years ago, when my hubs and I came back from a trip to Italy, we wanted to find a gelato shop that had the same quality as the shops in Rome. Not all the gelato and sorbetto we had in Italy was good, some flavors tasted artificial, and during our time there, we learned how to tell the good from the meh. When we returned to Seattle, we were happy to find great-Italy-like gelato at the Bottega Italiana in Green Lake. After that shop closed (still sad about that!) we started going to their other shop by Pike Place Market. For years, this place featured delicious, fresh, quality gelato and sorbetto that tasted like the flavors they were labeled with--so strawberry tasted like eating real strawberries and so on. But on a recent visit, I got a small cup with strawberry and raspberry-dragon fruit and the first flavor I got when I tasted it was sugar. As I ate more of it, it started to remind me of Jolly Rancher candies, not totally, but enough to turn me off. They use just enough fruit to make you believe it's the flavor that it's labeled with, but the amount of sugar and other things added makes their fruit flavors as meh as the not-so-good shops we learned to avoid in Rome. Alas, I think my favorite gelato shop in Seattle has fallen prey to profit over quality. Why, Bottega Italiana, why??? It makes me and my hubs very sad. The only reason I am giving two stars instead of one is because the service was friendly and efficient, and my hubs's dairy-based gelato flavors were all right--not great but all right. Over the years, we've tried all the other gelato shops in Seattle and none of them measure up either. I guess it's time we take another trip to Italy.

I got a scoop of their marionberry swirl and had a taste of my bestie's salted caramel gelato. Both were really good though my marionberry had a lot more taste and wasn't as sweet as the salted caramel. Staff up front were very patient with us when we asked to try several of their flavors at once.

Eventually I walked toward the register and asked if I could get some help. One of the employees seemed annoyed to step away from the conversation. I ordered a sundae and asked for custom flavors: vanilla and salted caramel. What I got looked like chocolate and salted caramel instead. When I mentioned that I had asked for vanilla, she rolled her eyes and went back to chatting while I stood there waiting. Another employee eventually stepped in and remade it, but the sundae was missing the nuts. At that point I didn't feel like asking again, so I just left. The sundae itself was also pretty underwhelming compared with what I remember from when they first opened. Overall, the place feels like it has gone downhill a lot. It makes sense now why it was empty on a warm weekend evening, when this same spot used to have lines out the door.

After learning about Hello Robin some months ago, I decided I had to make my way there one Saturday. A bit of a hike for me, but never too much for a good chocolate chip cookie. In fact, never too much for an average one either - because, let's be honest, even an average chocolate chip cookie is wonderful if you're an office chair. Not peeking the menu before I went, I was pleasantly surprised at the varieties of chocolate chip cookies they had to offer. Being the office chair I am, I swiveled left and right, inspecting the entire display, and ended up getting one of each (ok, that's a lie... I got 4 of each ). While each of them were great, the Whole Wheat Chocolate Chip cookie got me. The whole wheat offered something a bit different - a bit more of a nutty earthiness that you typically get with a brown butter chocolate chip cookie, but also with the pleasant illusion that I was making a healthy choice by going whole wheat. So, if you're an office chair like me roll on over to Hello Robin. You'll be glad you did. (Final note: I really tried to work in a "lumbar" pun, but didn't feel it provided much support to the actual review...)
