Ice cream flavors are strong and delicious! They have a taste limit when you're trying out flavors but gives you a reason to come back!
Gelatiamo I always pass by when I'm in the area, but I decided to go and try it after lunch. Got the pistachio gelato flavor. Amazing texture, so creamy and they had great desserts in the glass. The place is cozy. Good place for gelato.
The gelato was tasty and creamy. The matcha taste was maybe a little bit more the commercial flavor of I'm being a bit picky but I did like it. I also appreciated they have a smaller scoop option (kids scoop!). The servers were helpful and told us to let them know if we had questions and when we were ready. The inside was kinda messy with several unbussed tables, but it was right after a game had let out so I imagine they were overrun and just hadn't had enough time to clean up. Loved the flavor selection but wish they had a nondairy option for folks too.
I actually really want to commend this place on their peaches and cream gelato!!! It was amazing! Easily the best peach-flavored thing I've ever had. Everything else was a normal gelato experience lol, but if I was here longer I would've came back to try some other flavors since they knocked it out of the park w this one! (That being said, I totally forget the other flavor, so maybe it's hit and miss)
Gelatiamo is a well-regarded gelato shop in downtown Seattle. Other than gelato, they are also a bakery selling Italian style cookies and cakes. They also sell coffee to pair with the sweets. We are allowed to sample flavors, with (I believe) a limit of three. We ordered a grande size gelato ($7.95), which we can choose up to two flavors - Blueberry Lavendar and Marionberry. Both flavors are on point and excellent. Definitely recommend the gelato. They have small tables both inside and outside. Service was friendly. I was eyeing the pastry cases, but I will need to wait until next visit.
This dessert and pastry place is close by to Benaroya hall, so I would get here by public transit if you can. When you do walk in here, you feel like you're in a fine-dining like area with dim lights yet it also has the feel of a cafe where you can sit and relax with whatever you get. Since one of my friends knew I haven't been here before for desserts, he decided to take me and out other friends here to try their gelato for the first time. I got a scoop of their marionberry swirl and had a taste of my bestie's salted caramel gelato. Both were really good though my marionberry had a lot more taste and wasn't as sweet as the salted caramel. Staff up front were very patient with us when we asked to try several of their flavors at once.
This place was so tasty! I got a regular which comes with two flavors with rice and creme brulee as my scoops. The gelato was creamy and perfectly flavored. I thought the portion size was generous for the price. I intended to save some in the freezer for later, but it was just so good!

I've taken cakes home from here, but never posted an evaluation. Those cakes factored into this rating. The ice cream is creamy and a split scoop (two types) is still a very generous portion. I was able to try a few before settling on my selection. Pistachio tasted exactly as it should, and the rice pudding ice cream was an unusual treat. Coffee was made perfectly. The raspberry cake was okay - a little sweet and a tad dry. Whipped cream would enhance the flavor and texture, so I was glad I ordered ice cream. On other occasions, I 've had their mille feuille cake which is phenomenal. Even picked up a whole one for Mother's Day. This brings the overall rating uo to a 4. Solid place and convenient location when walking around downtown.
If you're looking for creamy gelato, daring flavors, and an overall phenomenal experience, Gelatiamo is the place for you. As the name suggests, Gelatiamo serves authentic Italian gelato, providing a perfect break for guests exploring the nearby Pike Place. I actually went here twice because it was so good, and I only got the gelato, but they also offer coffee, cakes, and other goods. I would certainly recommend the usual, safe flavors like the coconut and the mango. However, where Gelatiamo really shines is in its experiential selection. Namely, the fine matcha tastes freshly ground, slightly bitter, slightly sweet, as true matcha aficionados would appreciate. Definitely worth a try. The rice-flavored gelato was a pleasant surprise for me. I've had my fair share of rice in various forms but I've never had it in gelato. I was expecting something bland, boring, and disappointing, but it was instead light, creamy, and with a slightly sweet turn at the end. Overall, Gelatiamo is the perfect sweet treat for anyone in the area and totally worth the visit!
Located in downtown Seattle, Gelatiamo is the perfect place for a treat on a sunny summer day. I got the hazelnut gelato and it was so good, and even has actual hazelnuts mixed in! Staff were welcoming and friendly. Looking forward to stopping by again when I'm in the neighborhood.

The employee helping us was very friendly, she answered our questions and let us sample some flavors. There's a nice cozy vibe inside with a decent amount of seating, and the pastry case looked great as well. I'd definitely come back to try more, especially if I'm nearby.
What a great spot to drop into before checking out a concert at Benarpya Hall across the street. It's small and can get crowded but they have a nice selection of gelato and make a wonderful caffe con panna -- feels like the whipped cream was homemade. It's not always easy to find a good hot chocolate but my child finished theirs happily so we give a big thumbs up. Service was friendly, ambience a bit crowded before the show.

Loved this place. I was looking for gelato and found this spot. I'm glad it was conveniently located. I tried their creme brulee, lemon and chocolate. All of them were delicious. I can't wait to stop back in. read more

gelatiamo was a cozy hideaway spot from the crazy seattle wind and rain (someone had to be by the door to let people in and out). overall very vibey with a few tables to sit at! staff were friendly as well. for the smallest size, you can get two scoops of any flavor! the berries and cream flavor reminded me of the plain tart frozen yogurt flavor (but much creamier and a bit sweeter from the berries). the strawberry sorbet was also very good! you can taste the strawberries for sure. eggnog was an interesting flavor! i've never had actual eggnog before so i don't have a good comparison point but it was good and not overwhelming in any flavor profile. cookies and cream was good too :) read more
Yes, I absolutely do recommend Gelatiamo!! If you're a fan of gelato or great ice-cream then this is the place for you!! I tried the rice gelato and I have to say that it immediately became my favorite dessert here!!! The service is quick and friendly! So yes, come by and check this gem out!! read more
Great place. Too bad I couldn't flavor enjoy the experience. Not because of the establishment. It was cold and quite rain y at that moment and had to leave soon so I was trying to eat it quick. That said it was delicious! And the service by the workers was outstanding and very friendly read more
Wow. The moment I tasted the gelato here, I was impressed. Silky, smooth, flavorful. I sampled the rice pudding, crème brûlée, pistachio, and salted caramel and ultimately chose the rice pudding and pistachio for the 2 flavors for the regular cup. Regular cup was $5.95+tax and looks tiny but it is a very satisfying dessert. I'd say this is one of the best gelato spots I've tried so far. The pistachio has chunks of pistachio and is the real deal since it's a beige not green color. The rice pudding is subtly creamy and the rice is perfectly cooked - more chewy than soft to get an appetizing combination. This spot is located conveniently in downtown along bus lines and close to Pike Place for those visiting the more tourist spots, so it is convenient to check it out and enjoy high quality gelato! read more

I had the rice pudding ice cream it was very interesting texture in a good way. I would say the service there could use some work. When it was my turn to pay I'm not sure why there was such a long wait to pay. read more

So very happy finding this delicious business. I was hankering for ice cream and this was so much better. Loved that there were bakery items we took home with us. The business has limited seating inside this corner business. You can get cones or cups and I chose 3 scoops. This was truly a delicious experience. Service was fast once we got to the counter. The line is a minor inconvenience when you taste how fantastic the gelato is. What a treat for those that are local. read more
Good (but not great) gelateria at the corner of 3rd Avenue and Union street. Ambience inside was nice, with a clean industrial look and high ceilings. Service was prompt but transactional - not a single smile was bestowed upon us. Prices were reasonable, and my hazelnut gelato was good (but not great). The kids ordered without asking for samples because it didn't appear they offered any - neither of them finished their gelatos! They got my wife's order wrong but she didn't feel like complaining as the server looked unapproachable. Finally, there were some aggressive panhandlers hanging around outside and we didn't feel comfortable sitting outdoors. Won't be coming back anytime soon. read more
I stopped by to grab a gelato and was impressed with the flavor options. I liked the yogurt and berries, red velvet, and green tea matcha flavors. They even have a rice flavor! The tables were small, but good enough for 2-3 people to gather for a sugar rush. read more
YUM YUM YUM YUM YUM. My bestie and I have both walked by this spot a thousand times and harbored a shared desire to go in - we finally did! After lunch at Mendocino just up the block, we walked in here where it was quiet and sunny, a few small bistro tables, and outdoor seating available. I got stalled immediately by the array of packaged treats, coffee, and merch on the shelves, as well as the cakes behind the glass. Finally remembered we were there for gelato and wooooowwww, what a layout of mouth-watering options. I chose purely by what I visually thought was the coolest looking lol. Ended up with salted caramel and chocolate (you get TWO FLAVORS even in the tiniest size - how cool is that???). Also got an espresso (nice to see the actual Italian names on the menu!) and some cookies to go. It wasn't very busy at the time, one customer every few moments. The attendant behind the counter was friendly and efficient. I just love the smoothness of gelato and I did put some in my espresso - YUM. read more

What's not to love about gelato on a hot summer day? The gelato here is creamy and has a good variety of flavors. We had the pistachio, passion fruit, strawberry and new recipe (citrus orange?) and they were all good. The combination of creamy and thick pistachio with a citrusy fruity flavor was perfect. Plenty of seating indoors to enjoy your dessert. Great pitstop in downtown! read more

I wish I was more hungry when I walked into Gelatiamo. There is so much to choose from. I went for a small Gelato mix of strawberry and vanilla. If I have another chance to visit Gelatiamo, I would try much more of their amazing desserts. read more

- Lovely spot for a quick rest - Food: 4 stars Price: 3 stars Service: 2 stars Ambiance: 4 stars Overall: 3.25 stars We got a two-scoop affogato here with creme brulee and rice flavors. I can't taste the creme brulee that well with the coffee but the rice flavor was delicious with grains of rice there. It's a good resting spot next to Pike Place Market since it's not too crowded regardless of how busy it is at the market. Our two scoops affogato was $7.66 after tax. It was pricy, but it's like this everywhere else. You can sample the flavors too, but we weren't offered to sample anything *shrugs* (hence the 2 stars for service). read more

I've been meaning to come here but every time I forget that they close quite early. This time however, I managed to make it before closing hour, and there was still quite a long line inside. Upon reading the reviews I knew I had to try the rice gelato since it was so unique, and I also had to get my favorite classic flavor, pistachio. I was able to choose 2 flavors in a single scoop which was nice, and the portion size was definitely generous. The texture and flavor of the gelato was absolutely spot on! Super creamy, smooth, and pure tasting. I loved the nuttiness of the pistachio and how there were little bits of the nut inside. The rice flavor was quite unique and unlike anything I've really had before, and even had small chewy grains of rice inside. So rich and creamy that I couldn't really finish it all, but a great try! I would definitely be here more often if they didn't close so late, but I'd highly recommend trying this spot for some delicious gelato! read more

OMG!! I was waiting for my bus and saw this place across the street. I've never been to a Gelatiamos before. It was 90 degrees outside and I thought a cool treat was in order. I ordered a grande cup and at first thought I would just get mango. The nice girl behind the counter asked if I would like three different scoops. I immediately went into search mode to see what might go well together. I got a scoop each of mango, yogurt with berries and chocolate chip. I'm not much of a gelato expert but WOW did those three compliment each other nicely. It was an amazing way to get out of the heat (air-conditioning in the store) and enjoy a cool treat. I will now have to find one of these closer to where I live. read more
