What's there not to love about ice cream?? They make the cones right there for you. You can ask for a sample. They are pretty fast with giving out orders. When I went it was really busy and I got to order fairly quickly. You can sit under some shade provided in the building on the side. Right next to the waterfront. Or walk along the pier and enjoy the day. I had the salted caramel. The nice cashier asked me before hand if I tried it before. I had not from this specific place, but I've tried it at other places and I totally get why he asked. Because it wasn't the general salted caramel flavor you get which would be sweet and salty. It was more sweet, salty and bitter and reminded me of coffee!!! I didn't mind at all. I would say it was a bit too much for me to finish before it started melting. This was my first time trying the Seattle waterfront park location. It's so cute and has nice a beautiful view of the water. I'd love to come here and watch the sunset next time. Service was quick and friendly, there's little booths/windows you can order at, no indoor seating. Lines can get long but always move quickly. During this visit, I sampled some flavors and July seasonal flavors and got a double scoop of the blueberry cheesecake and vegan coconut chocolate chunk. Both were rich and flavorful and had that salty touch I love in ice cream. But I felt like I was mostly eating sweet cream ice cream and probably got like one or two graham cracker crust pieces from the blueberry cheesecake. This isn't the first time this has happened at Molly moon's. Last time I visited at another location, I ordered the scout mint brownie which was essentially a mint flavored sweet cream ice cream, not a single brownie in sight. Molly Moons used to be my favorite ice cream shop in high school, (back when they still used Girl Scout thin mints) but I feel like their ice cream quality is good, but they've been skimping out on mix-ins, especially for how expensive a single scoop is. I'm not sure how often I'd return, maybe if there's a new seasonal flavor that catches my eye. Overall though, I really liked this waterfront location and the service! The waterfront location is so beautiful! They have covered seating outdoors on the side, but I prefer just going nearby and finding a nice rock to sit on lol. The selection is always perfect at Molly Moons because they have their regular flavors and then the seasonal. There was a line at 9:00 PM on a Sunday night. But it went pretty quick. I had a few bites and it was a very delicious ice cream. Be sure to leave a few minutes because there is a pretty long line there but it's well worth it. The staff seemed very nice and efficient. It is an outdoor take and eat establishment so there is no real seating for eating your ice cream and it didn't look like there was a bathroom available. We would go here again for sure! read more

It's worth the wait in line. I am so glad this location opened. It's perfect for a treat when you get off the ferry or after a game at T-Mobile or Lumen. Visited the location on the pier. Tasty ice cream! The guy that helped us sample was very knowledge of the flavors. We got the strawberry and matcha strawberry in waffle cones. Every time we've visited Seattle, Molly Moon's ice cream has been on our list but somehow, we never made it. Third time's the charm! On a crisp fall Friday night, we finally got to go. This location near the pier in downtown Seattle is perfect, scenic, lively, and right by the water. There was a line when we arrived, but it moved quickly. The kids went with sweet cream and strawberry, while I chose an iced latte. I also sampled the honey lavender, which was lovely. Molly Moons is a great addition to the Seattle Waterfront area. Its located a little south of the main stretch of the waterfront but I think its more than worth it to go out of your way to visit. The lines can be long at times but that's for good reason, in my opinion this is the best ice cream you can get in the Seattle area. I appreciated being able to try multiple flavors without any pressure to order quickly, and ended up ordering 2 of their seasonal flavors, "Malted Milk Chocolate" and "Cherry Chunk" both very rich in flavor in and delicious. It was easy to find. The menu is simple, a few flavors we had to ask about like the yeti and such. I felt like I was only able to try 2 flavors. So I had the yeti and the blueberry pie. It didn't stand out too much so I went with the strawberry shortcake with marshmallow topping. It's nice that you can get that toasted, but I couldn't tell if the ice cream itself was salty or the marshmallow topping. Tried my partners ice cream and found it to be too salty too. As a regular water taxi rider, I love that it's bringing tourists and locals a bit further down the waterfront and I live seeing happy people with ice cream sitting on a formerly empty rocky beach. While the ice cream flavor itself was quite mild in both matcha and strawberry flavor, the addition of the hardshell really took it to the next level.
