Vegan Chocolate Chip Cookies (V)

Best cookies in Seattle!!! Super fresh & warm, and service is great. I love the smores & chocolate chip, but will hopefully be back to try more. Highly recommend if you have a sweet tooth like myself!

I loved: Flourless Chocolate I really liked: Birthday Cake + Vanilla Bean Sammy I liked: Brown butter snickerdoodle The flourless chocolate cookie was incredible! Deep, rich flavor that really stands out. You can tell it's flourless, but it adds to the texture rather than taking away from it. Easily the highlight. The birthday cake and vanilla bean ice cream sandwich was really good too. The sprinkles actually had texture and didn't leave any weird residue, and the cookie had that perfect butter-crisp edge with a soft center. The vanilla bean ice cream was super creamy, fluffy, and tasted homemade. The brown butter snickerdoodle was fine, but I definitely feel this way because I've had better versions elsewhere and because everything else was so good in comparison. The whole shop smelled heavenly the second I walked in. Service was quick and friendly, and everything felt fresh out of the oven.

"Careful it's kinda melty..." is what she said with a smile and boy was it warm and melty. The smores cookie is absolutely a must buy here and it tastes legendary. It's not too sweet, warm, soft yet a little crispy on the outside with warm chocolate oozing out when you take a bite. I have to admit I'm glad this place isn't near my house. Otherwise I'll be in trouble. Seats are very limited so it's more of a take out kind of place. The line is not too long but it's always busy. They serve Molly moon ice cream which is a plus as well.

Love to stop here and get a dozen cookies when I'm looking to surprise anyone. Maybe the doctors office when I have an appointment or friends when I'm visiting. The perfect sweet treat. My favorite is the molasses cookie but there are a lot of great and unique options. They are nut free so perfect for those allergies. Parking isn't bad but not really walkable from the rest of Capitol Hill.

Went to Hello Robin on a Sunday at 11. There's plenty of free street parking around, and at the time there were not a ton of people in the area. The cookies are on the smaller side so I felt confident buying multiple flavors. I also got a scoop of the Molly Moon's ice cream they sell, which included the monthly matcha strawberry for June. Ice cream was good, about $5 for a kids scoop. I also got the chocolate chip orange habanero, salted butterscotch, and brown butter snickerdoodle cookies, which were all handed to me slightly warm. Everything is absolutely delicious, but the standout to me is of course the orange habanero chocolate chip cookie. The workers were very fast, getting my order ready. It was also fun to see other workers portioning out dough and weighing cookies for baking at the table in the back! Overall the shop is very cute, and has great service and cookies!

Cute little shop; airy, but still a cozy layout. The sales person was kind and encouraging (without being pushy) and described the various flavors well when I asked about the nuances between them. Pricing is really fair and the quality of the ingredients shines through. Seasonal pumpkin spice - chewy, nice chocolate chunks, delicate spicing. Delish! OG chocolate chip - nice chew, sufficient chocolate chunks , the sea salt sprinkle elevates it nicely. Birthday cake sprinkle - my friend was in heaven. S'more Macklemore - crispy graham cracker base is genius , gooey marshmallow blends into a chocolate chip cookie and a fat piece of chocolate on top. A little sweet, but worth the hype! Orange habanero chocolate chip cookie - chocolate chip batter with a delicate orange flavor, and a sprinkle of ground habanero and cinnamon auger on top. Your tongue buzzes nicely. Really delicious. Molasses- wow! So tender and chewy, beautiful ginger finish. This was probably my favorite for balance, flavor, and texture. Flourless chocolate- lovely chocolate flavor. It completely quelled my craving for brownies - much better!

The Habanero Orange cookie. Probably the best one I have had in my life. Nuff said. You get the kick from the chilli and the floral citrusy flavor of the orange. So good!

Mackles'more Cookie

Food: I had a divine mackle'smore cookie. It felt like more than a cookie, truthfully -- definitely a special treat that is a room temp smore in the form of a cookie. Service: My family and I went right before closing (10p) and the employees were still so friendly/welcoming. Ambiance: I love the ambiance of the store and storefront. Overall, Hello Robin has a really inviting atmosphere. There were folks enjoying treats in and outside the store; my family and I stood outside and had our cookie/ice cream too. I will definitely return to Hello Robin! I suggest this place for a quick late night outing/treat.

Icecream Sandwich (Cookies & Cream ice cream)

We stopped by here on a Wednesday night around closing time for dessert after dinner. There was still quite a line, and the cookies were still very fresh tasting! We ordered a Full Icecream Sandwich with Orange Habanero Chocolate Chip and Birthday Cake cookies, and Cookies & Cream ice cream. The Birthday Cake cookie has a buttery vanilla cream flavor with lots of baked-in rainbow sprinkles. The habanero chocolate chip has a tantalizing hint of raw habanero pepper flavor, although it is quite muted. There's just ever so a modicum of heat that playfully teases your tongue with a seductive tickle, which surprisingly pairs very nicely with the chocolate chips. The ice cream itself is from Molly Moon's, but they sure give you a thick multi-inch layer of ice cream wedged tightly between those two cookies! As a unit, the cookies and ice cream give you a filling and decadently rich dessert experience.

My new favorite dessert place? Maybe! It's a bit pricey but worth it IMO. Plus, they give you a good portion so you get what you pay for. I got a full sammy, which includes 2 cookies and a scoop of ice cream. I got the s'mores cookie, snickerdoodle, and cookies and cream ice cream. It was amazing. 10/10, no notes! The branding is absolutely adorable too.

I love coming to Hello Robin after a meal. This is the perfect sweet treat. The smore cookie is so good and I love the contrast of the warm cookie paired with cold ice cream. The ice cream is from molly moon's. They rotate some flavors sometimes and they have standard flavors as well. I definitely recommend!

Cookie dough + pumpkin chocolate chip

Fresh baked cookies with creamy ice cream? What more could you want! I had heard about this spot since they were known for topping Molly Moon's ice cream with their signature fresh baked cookies. I can never resist good ice cream or fresh cookies, so this was a dream come true. I got an open faced sandwich with cookie dough ice cream and a pumpkin chocolate chip cookie. The ice cream was different than I remember, as I thought the cookie dough was a cinnamon base but this time it was vanilla. There were generous amounts of cookie dough mixed in though. The cookie itself was quite good too - so soft and chocolatey and the pumpkin flavor shone through nicely. It wasn't warm though, which was something I was hoping for :( For almost $8, it's certainly a pricey dessert, to the point where I definitely wouldn't get it often. However, definitely worth the try!

Mackles'more Cookies with iced vanilla latte ice cream
Vivien L.

I stopped by on a weekday night with a few friends and we all ordered the mackles'more with iced vanilla latte ice cream from Molly Moon's. The mackles'more cookie was so good, I came back to buy more. There is seating outside the store and the customer service was great. I'll be back for the cookie!

Ask the Community - Hello Robin

Are there any low carb/ keto friendly options?

I know they have vegan and gluten free options but I don't think they have keto cookies. I say try highkey cookies for keto - they're bomb!

Do you have vegan ice cream and cookie options?

Yes! We always have vegan chocolate chip cookies! They are baked to order. And we always have at least one vegan ice cream.

What is your favorite cookie and ice cream combo?

One habanero chocolate chip cookie and one classic chocolate chip cookie and strawberry ice cream in the middle. It's bold.

I originally planned to just grab a coffee and a croissant, but after noticing how popular the mushroom Gruyere croissant seemed, I decided to give it a try and I'm so glad I did. It was incredibly delicious, perfectly filling, and even better when warmed up. The staff member kindly offered to heat it for me, which really elevated the whole experience. While they serve Umbria coffee, which isn't my personal favorite, the food more than made up for it. The service was warm and friendly, and the overall vibe was welcoming. I'll definitely be back to try the mushroom croissant again or maybe explore some of their other pastries next time.

I made the mistake of ordering a banh mí because I needed lunch and saw it advertised on their chalk board tent sign outside on the sidewalk. I'm sure everything else is great, except this. I waited 5 minutes to be served a cold sandwich. When I asked if I could warm it up, they said it would be another 7 minutes. It wasn't busy, not sure why the long and specific wait. Like everything else, this was incredibly overpriced. The only disappointment was that I would rather order a banh mí from an authentic Vietnamese restaurant than a French bakery (yes, I know about the colonialism involved).

I have a piece of toast in the mornings with butter and jam or honey and besides their whole wheat raisin bread, the other hardier breads (seeded and Irish soda) have caraway seeds and other savory notes (at least for my palate).

Through several visits: Baguette, Large ($7.95) - Great baguette with bubbling golden exterior complete with the perfectly baked crust even after waiting 3 hours before cutting in and eating. The interior has the perfect moisture level and is delightfully soft and chewy. The taste overall has a deep developed flavor. This is a great baguette. The only problem - the price. I can find ones for half the price that are maybe 80% as good as this one. (5/5) Seasonal Biscuit ($4.50) - This biscuit definitely isn't Southern-style. It's more of a drop biscuit, combining a relatively soft and tender interior with a nice exterior crust, without any flakiness or layering. The interior is almost cake-like in texture and crumb, and is plenty moist. They add plenty of fresh black pepper inside. It's distributed very evenly, giving a peppery bite with every mouthful. Parmesan is added to the top of the biscuit before baking, giving plenty of umami and richness but only on the upper layer. (4/5) Green Vinaigrette Cafeteria Style Pizza ($6.25) - The pizza is kept under a warming lamp, so it starts getting a little dried out after I assume a couple of hours spent there. I do love the base though - it's focaccia-like giving a really crunchy dark golden brown crust underneath, which supports the toppings. The pizza slice has lots of structural integrity and doesn't flop over. There's a base of fragrant concentrated tomato paste-like flavor which is topped with a very even layer of cheese. Since it's warmed rather than freshly baked, the cheese starts congealing a bit. The cheese is peppered with parsley, garlic, and a bunch of mustard seeds, giving a special zing. The toppings go all the way to the sides of the pie, making it great for people who dislike crust. Even though it's cafeteria style pizza that's kept under heat lamps, I quite liked it. I wonder if I can get a really fresh slice if I get there right at 11AM when lunch starts. (5/5) Chocolate Croissant ($6.10) - Great lamination with a very aesthetic honeycomb pattern. Baked on the harder side, causing fantastic crispy flaky layers to flake off, but also creating a darker golden brown character that is on the verge of bitterness. Nicely buttery soft and chewy interior. Chocolate is a darker variety, probably somewhere around 70%, so it has a pleasing balanced sweetness and chocolate flavor. It's not typical baton, instead seems to be a section from a bar. Still warm and melty even through I didn't eat the croissant until ~30 minutes after purchasing. When cooled down further, some red fruity notes start appearing, so this seems to be be pretty high quality. (5/5) White Sourdough ($12.60) - Now this is a loaf of bread. Superb crust, probably 2 or 3 times as thick compared to competitors, creating a supreme crusty bite with a chew approaching a hard crunch with almost caramelized molasses notes on the bottom. The interior is moist and tender with a pleasing slight sourdough tang. It's a superb piece of craftsmanship. (5/5) Kouign Amann ($5.80) - This is another heavier bake with some acridity development on the top surface. Unlike many other bakeries where the kouign amann is basically a differently shaped croissant with sugar glaze, Sea Wolf's version feels more in line with tradition. The crumb is denser and richer, more like brioche. There's interesting black speckling inside which I believe is due to the inclusion of espresso powder given the mild coffee-like flavor. The crust is again baked hard, but it's lighter and not as flaky as the croissant. They sprinkle just a bit of salt on top of a very light caramelized sugar glaze. It's not very sweet and I didn't find it too salty unlike some other reviewers. (5/5) Plain Focaccia Slice ($4.80) - Good quality olive oil, some salt sprinkled on top to boost the flavors. Light and airy interior, but the exterior is a little wan, being more light golden brown and lacking some good crusty crisp especially on the fried bottom. Quite oily. (4/5) Sea Wolf gives out free sourdough starter, which can be requested from the cashier. Since picking it up several weeks ago, I've gone through several feed/bake cycles for making sourdough focaccia. I've visited Sea Wolf 3 or 4 times in the last month. That's a testament to how high quality their pastries and breads are. I think the only thing stopping me from visiting more is thanks to the starter I got from them fanning my baking instincts. I bake so much now that I don't have any need to buy their bread! Note: Sea Wolf charges a 3% credit card fee. This is not noted on their menu - it only appears in the POS right before paying. Kind of sketchy. Bathrooms - Single unisex room

There really has been no rhyme or reason on when there are long or short lines, but for your sake, hope that you get a short line. I'm a big fan of the horchata brioche donut, so that's what I recommend you try. The pastries are reasonably priced and freshly made, and if you don't like things that are too sweet they will be perfect for you. I think the only complaint I've had is the drinks the barista has made can be very hit or miss, especially once with Chai I had. The hojicha latte was rich and earthy in the best way, and it went really well with the black sesame cookie, which had a great strong sesame flavor, and the texture was perfectly chewy! The focaccia was pillowy and chewy at the same - I could've eaten five of these on their own. The frittata was my least favorite item, but by no means am I saying that it's bad! The cherry foam for an additional $2.00 was very pretty but that's where it stopped at. Absolutely no cherry or sakura flavor. Disappointed. The sesame cookie had a great smell to it. The aroma of sesame was strong. The cookie had a nice crisp to the edge and a chewy center. The sesame taste wasn't as strong as the smell. The spicy chicken sandwich on special was not spicy at all. It was overwhelmingly sweet from the orange glaze/sauce on the kitchen. It was a decent sandwich and I definitely finished it. Just not something I would gravitate back to. I understand the reviews about how this place doesn't live up to some extra hype. It's decent, solid and a great option for the area but to go out of your way for and wait thirty minutes in line?
