Ok so i really didn't know that Bafang Dumplings is a not really a sit down type of restaurant. wife and i wanted to try a new dumpling place and didn't want to drive too far. Yes it had a 3.7 rating but we wanted to give it a shot It's in the same plaza as Summer Rills, Meet Fresh so know that if you go during dinner time , especially during the weekend be prepared for to spend time finding a parking space. Anyway, when we walked into BD, we were surprised at how spare the place looks. there are probably 6 small tables against the wall and the whole middle of the restaurant is empty. i'd guess it's for space customers. anyway they have kiosk or u can order at the counter. when we walked in we were thinking is this fast food Chi ear style should we go somewhere else? But we didn't want to walk out so we stayed. we took a whole to scan the meaning, they actually have noodles under $8. It's not super large it's like medium we got the signature potstickers and dumplings set and the signature noodle and dumplings set. we actually waited about 10minutes or so which was a good sign that it wasn't fast food the signature noodles was tossed with a spicy sauce that's it. it was tasty with a nice kick. i've had better but i still enjoyed it our favorite were the dumpling and the potstickers. they were fresh and very tasty. the dough had a good bite and good crunch on the potstickers. To be honest, we were both pleasantly surprised at the quality of the dumplings. we will definitely be be back to try their pork chop rice and braised pork rice for $10. They have beef noodle soup for $17.50 which i felt was overpriced. overall this is a return place for us read more

This was one of the most disrespectful customer service experiences I've had in a long time. I stood there waiting for quite a while before anyone acknowledged me. When a male employee finally came over, he asked me for a "number." I wasn't sure what number he meant, so I simply showed him my phone. I hadn't even said anything rude or disrespectful, yet his immediate response was, "You need to talk to me properly." That completely caught me off guard. From that point on, his attitude felt unnecessarily hostile and confrontational. He handed the food over carelessly, and it ended up spilling. He then blamed ME for knocking it over, even though from my perspective, it happened because of the way he handed the order to me. When I asked for chopsticks, he acted like even that simple request was an inconvenience. The part that bothered me most came when I questioned his attitude. He told me that I was a "driver," as if that somehow justified treating me differently from a customer. Driver or customer--what difference does that make when it comes to basic respect? And for the record, I actually WAS the customer. I'm not writing this review because of the food. I'm writing it because no one should walk into a business and be treated as if they are beneath someone simply because that employee assumes they are a delivery driver. Basic courtesy costs nothing. Treat people with respect regardless of whether they're picking up their own food, delivering an order, or dining inside. The whole interaction was unnecessarily rude, dismissive, and confrontational. I always order the pepper fried chicken, and it used to be one of my favorites. Lately, though, it seems like the portion size gets smaller every time I order it. The most recent order was especially disappointing, the amount of chicken I received was nowhere near enough to justify the price. About 6 tables with chairs for dine-in. One all gender restroom in the back of the restaurant. There is one self-ordering kiosk available for use. I chose to order at the counter instead. Young gentleman staff was cordial and helpful. I got two combos. Potstickers were perfectly pan-fried on the outside and juicy on the inside... very flavorful. Wontons were in a savory, comforting broth... quite tasty. Noodles started off with a pasty taste, but after I stirred them in the fiery mala spice and nutty sesame sauce, it tasted quite delicious. Wonton soup was good. Wonton skin has a good thickness and it not easily broken in the soup as many other restaurants. Dumpling was tasty & juicy with thicker skin. The noodle was also good....it's not spicy but there's sauce and you have to make sure you mix it well. Then the flavor is on point and distributed well. I love the potstickers the most. Came to Bafang Dumpling on Saturday for lunch with my mama. She's tried Bafang in Taiwan multiple times, and wanted to try it when she saw it in this plaza. They seem to be a make-to-order place, and the wait time was long... Took just over 20 minutes to get our food, even though they have a "fast-casual" set-up inside...I understand they make all the things fresh, but it was a very long wait IMO. We ordered 2 Combo 1's, one with hot & sour soup and one with the corn chowder. We also got a side of the cucumber salad that's ready-made by their small front fridge and a mala beef noodle soup. The cucumber salad was very sweet & slightly tangy...I probably wouldn't order again since it was too sweet for my taste. The mala beef noodle soup was good, definitely spicy & decent sharing portion and flavor. I like that they put Chinese sauerkraut in this dish. Their potstickers, which should be their star dish were meh...the signature potstickers consist of pork & cabbage, while their kimchi wasn't as tangy as I was expecting. I thought it would be more like pao cai and pork, but they were not really flavorful. They have a sauce station with garlic soy sauce, soy sauce, black vinegar, sesame oil, and chili sauce. I wished they had white vinegar. The pot stickers have very thin skin, and are lightly fried. The skin wasn't crispy or it got soggy fairly quickly...so I was a bit underwhelmed. Hot & sour soup wasn't spicy or sour enough for my taste. Corn chowder was good, standard flavor. They have one unisex bathroom available, which was fairly clean. They don't really bus the tables after other patrons leave so it could be cleaner if they did. Water is available at the front & they pack most things in to-go containers, which I'm not really a fan of. Even sharing bowls are to-go containers. But the noodle soup did come out in an actual bowl. Parking is shared lot with other stores/restaurants in plaza and can fill up quickly up-top. Garage parking is also available. Went in on a busy Saturday and was greeted by an employee who helped me quickly. I ordered #3 which includes 6 pot stickers, 6 dumplings and a choice of soup or lemon black tea. The atmosphere is mostly clean with a DIY sauce bar on the side and refrigerated sides and beverages by the cashiers. It took about 10 minutes to come out. The food tasted pretty good, you can definitely taste the ginger and seasonings of the filling; however not enough in my opinions. Overall, Bafang was pretty good. It's a fast casual restaurant. The food was pretty good, we ordered 2 of the the combo dry noodles with pan fried dumplings and the pork chop rice dish. Flavor was good and portion size is very filling. Everything is served in to go containers whether you eat there or not, except for the beef noodle soup. The restaurant is small with 4 regular size tables and 2 high tables. The regular size tables can technically seat 3-4 people, HOWEVER, there's only two chairs at each of those tables. We planned to eat there and two of the tables had 3 people seated, both of those tables took chairs from the two remaining tables. We were also a party of 3 so our table didn't have enough chairs. We had to stand for a while and even share a chair(!) while we waited for the other tables to finish. I don't understand why they can't add at least one more chair to each of the regular tables. I did suggest to the worker at the counter to let the owner know that they should add more chairs. If there are more than two in your party, plan to go during non busy times otherwise you'll likely have to take the food to go. Pan fried dumplings won't taste the same though after a 15 minute drive. :( read more

The beef dry noodles are so good!! The beef was on the saltier side so be careful. It comes with noodles, thinly sliced beef, thinly sliced cucumbers, and cilantro. I think it's 14.50. The portion size was pretty decent. They give you a lot of beef. I wish there was more noodles and less beef but that's a personal preference. read more

When I visited last month, the AC seemed to be struggling. So don't eat there in the heat because it was only in the low 80's but felt hotter in there. They have different combos to choose from. You may order through the kiosk or if somebody is available to take your order. They seem a bit short handed bebecause the person taking the order also works in the kitchen. I don't believe their food is freshly made. But instead frozen. You can taste it, and also kinda see what they're doing in the back kitchen area. Yes, steaming, frying, opening packages, mixing, etc. They probably have a logistics system where pre-made food are delivered. But the food here is pretty good and affordable if you order take out. Of course you may eat inside as well just like a fast food place. It's all self-serving. I wish the food would be made sooner since it's considered fast food. I waited about twenty minutes. That's why I think they might be understaffed on weekends. Luckily, they are located in a plaza, where you may walk around looking in other stores. I found it filling and would suggest it if it's your first time. - Corn chowder isn't anything too special, but I love my corn.
