Babe's is an unassuming little joint that I found on Yelp and let GPS guide me to. I was a bit wary at first as it's not a tourist type of restaurant and I was by myself. I thought I might grab a pizza to take back to my hotel but I hate eating in my room so I decided to play it by ear. The young lady who helped me was very nice and I decided to dine in. The pizza was very good and hot, hot, hot. I had to ask for a plate and ended up eating my pie with a knife and fork. I figure I might have gotten a few strange glances for that. The nerve! I really enjoyed the pizza and a local beer they recommended. The entire staff was very nice and I'm quite delighted to have found Babe's. If you like doughy pizza than this is for you. I personally like my pizza to be cooked. I always (and I encourage you to do this as well) ask for my pizza to be well done. This is such a great place in and even better location. Their menu options are great and price fairly. The salad bar alone will fill you. It is so fresh with many different toppings to choose from. Moving on to what they are known for, now I'm that "weirdo" that likes pineapple on my pizza (so whhhat!) and when I seen they pair it with buffalo chicken and bbq sauce I was sold. Over the past year, I've went to Babe's more times than I can count. The pizza has always been amazing, which is why we keep returning, even when the service was less than what it should have been. Today, however, I met a young man by the name of Steve who took that customer service to an entirely new level. While waiting for our food, we watched as he took orders over the phone, entered orders from the people coming in, refilled the salad bar, cleaned the restaurant, brought food out to the tables, went back to get additional items for his diners, and generally went well out of his way to provide service that was on par with the pizza he was serving. Today, I seen Babe's raise the bar to the customer service provided and I hope it's something that remains consistent. read more

person on the phone was very rude and unprofessional. Ordered spaghetti with meat sauce. We're then told they don't have meat sauce. I asked if they just ran out as we've ordered it before. She stated that they don't have it. I notified her they may want to update their menu online as it states it. She stated that I looked in the wrong spot as it's updated online. I notified her that it states it on their menu online And they may want to update it. Throughout the rest of the call she was very rude and unprofessional. Ordered a pepperoni, jalapeno, pineapple pizza but they forgot the jalapeno. For years i avoided pineapple pizza because it was gross by itself until i tried it with jalapenos and fell in love. Anyways, i called about getting reimbursed but the lady said she would put 5 dollars plus the topping i got charged for and didnt get. We stopped and picked up 2 vegeterian pizza while coming back from Oregon. Both pizza were pretty dry and difficult to eat. Even though everyone was hungry no one was able to eat more than one slice. It's now Monday at noon, 3 days after babe's Pizza messed up my order and I still have yet to receive a response, refund or replacement of the items I paid for from anyone at their management level. No response whatsoever!!! I picked up the phone to call them - yet again - and it the Google search says they are closed and there's no answering machine that can take a message. This clearly is the most egregious of matters I have ever experienced in handling the running of a business. Such a joke. You have to stand in line to order. Ok, not my favorite beginning but no big deal; However the menu posted behind the registers on the wall is not a full menu. For the full menu you are instructed to walk away from the register, lose your spot in line and go to the window where a menu is taped. No menus at the register. Yep you read that correctly. After you wait in line to order you must go back to the end of the line and struggle to read a menu that is taped to the window in such a manner that you have to bend over to read. Eye level? Nope. After food was finally ordered we we shown to a booth. Keep in mind now that we requested indoor dining right? Like our food will be brought to our table on plates with silverware. NOPE. Our cold food was brought in a paper bag. Two cheap paper plates and two cheap plastic forks were sat down on the table next to the paper bag. Inside the paper bag is our food (two half orders of pasta) in plastic bowls with lids. Talk about thinking about the environment! What a waste. The food was barely ok. When I requested salt, I was given salt that had been pre poured into a small styrofoam cup with no lid. Again, not very environmentally conscious or sanitary. There are so many great restaurants in town, I sure wouldnt bother with this one. read more

The Atmosphere: Very TMNT. LOL This place is just an average pizza place, there are tables and chairs, and a little room towards the back with an arcade. Perfect for birthday parties or club get-togethers. The parking lot is small, and shared with other business so it really depends on what time you get here. The Food: Their pizzas are good! My favorite is the garlic chicken, it has a garlic cream sauce, mushrooms, pineapple chicken and cashews. Keep your mind open, this pizza is super yummy. Of course, their normal pep and cheese pizza also kills, the family loves it. The Service: They are always timely and very friendly. I've never had a bad experience regarding service. The Price/Value: I think their prices are comparable to other pizza places in their bracket. Of course they can't compete with Little Caesar's or Dominoes, but the pizza quality is far better. Delicious! I'm a big pizza fan and I always like to try a new place when traveling. That is how Babe's and I met and they did not disappoint me. I ordered one of their signature pizzas, the Spicy Pig (Pepperoni and Pineapple). The toppings and cheese were perfect, they didn't skimp. The crust is really great too, buttery and the toppings go to the edge. They would have gotten 5 stars for flavor, but the process was a little hoe-hum. I called my pizza in ahead of time and they told me it'd be ready in 20 minutes. When I got there, 25 minutes later, there was a line literally out of the door. I thought awesome, this place must be great! I walked in to get my pizza but I learned quickly that though they had 2 cashiers busting their butts to keep the line moving, but neither line was designated for "Pick up." Almost everyone ahead of me walked in to order, which took me 15-20 minutes of waiting in line to get my order and go. They had stored my pizza on top of the oven, so though it was just warm, it wasn't hot any more. I suggest having one cashier open for the line and having the other cashier open for call ahead orders first, then have them jump in with the rest of the line when there aren't any carryouts present. This will keep your line down as the carryouts take much less time to process. read more

I'm hoping Babe's reads these reviews as this has been an on going issue. A certain front counter worker by the name of Brandy is incredibly irritable, condescending and low key a bit rude. She gossips openly in front of customers if its slow, about other coworkers, comes off as nice.. a little TOO nice and then slams phones, rolls her eyes, ect.. completely condescending to everyone around her and acting as if because she fakes being nice there isn't a problem. On a busy night, the attitude behind her "niceness" is unbelievable. Really puts off your meal, this place needs help and the turn over rate could very much be so because she truly isn't a nice employee, actions speak much louder than words. read more

I drove 13 minutes out of the way to support a local business, passing many other pizza establishments along the way. The inside was the quintessential neighborhood hangout. I was actually bummed that I was getting it to go. First strike was when they didn't offer any plates, forks, or chili peppers. When I asked, they were out of plates. They seemed pretty indifferent about it. I drove back to our hotel. The Large was what I would consider a medium elsewhere. They were generous on toppings but the crust, I could tell just by looking at it, was dry and dense. It was a cardboard crust. I've only had one that was worse in Erie, PA. Very disappointed. My family barely ate one slice each ( after 9pm and we skipped lunch). That says something, esp. when I got the Hawaiian pizza that my kids love. I've gotten way better service and way better pizza from Costco (Yup, it's that bad). read more

Listen to the reviews that are three or less stars here. This place is basic for food and sub par for service. I used to work here and remember how the food was basically an assembly line. Those people who got 3 or 5 dollar credit for their 25-30 dollar pizzas were LUCKY. Many were rejected out of hand. We went to dinner at Babe's one night while camping in the area. The staff was extremely friendly and generous. They went out of their way to let us know we had left a car door open.
