My son was craving pizza and pasta for dinner so I found this place on Yelp. It's located in a residential neighborhood away from the main business streets, but kind of near the local zoo. Babe's gives me mom and pop Shakey's vibes. There's a big party room for meetings or parties, and a game room with arcade games off to the side - accessible by stairs only so my son couldn't go in. In addition to pizza and pasta, they have sandwiches, calzones, and a fresh salad bar, not a ton of toppings but enough of everything I like to make me happy. My family and I ordered a large pizza w/ half sizzling bbq chicken & half Babe's Combo, a spaghetti and AYCE salad bar. The pizza was amazing, I loved the bbq chicken and the crust was super yum. Even my husband commented that the pizza was good and he doesn't usually make comments about pizza unless it's really bad. However, the spaghetti was missing some salt/herbs so it was bland for my personal taste. Salad ingredients were fresh, and I went back about 3 times as my family kept wanting more. The best part about Babe's was the people working here. Everyone was nice, but especially the lady who took my order, she was so so nice! Actually honestly, everyone I've come across in Eureka has been so friendly and kind, from the gas station, to the Target...it's been a great experience interacting with the people here. But the lady at Babe's just made my day, and unfortunately I didn't catch her name, but Babe's is so lucky to have her! There needs to be more Eureka kindness in this world. read more

Great experience ordering pizza and salad to my AirBnb in Eureka. Service was very friendly and timely. My veggie pizza was delicious and ample, making easily three servings. But the salad was even better! Finely chopped, super fresh vegetables with Italian dressing on the side made two meals. Really delicous. My wife, daughter and I came here last night for a final dinner on our vacation before we had to go home to the Bay Area. We choose Babe's because it is locally owned and, from the pictures, didn't seem like your usual mass-produced, cardboard crust, 1-topping crappy pizza. Well, we made a good decision. We ordered a large deluxe, which had more toppings than we could count. The pizza was more than enough for the 3 of us, and we're pretty big eaters. We still took 3 pieces home with us. The price is also quite good for what you get. I believe it was around $40 all in, which included 2 alcoholic drinks. Staff were also super friendly. The food was good, I just had a problem with the service and the prices. I have family here in town, so I've had their great pizza to go before. Then I sat... 20 minutes in, I asked the gentleman the status on my order. He said, "oh, it's going to take another 20 to 25 minutes. He offered to cancel my order, but I had already been waiting, so I said just switch it to a to go order and I will wait. Finally, about 45 minutes after I ordered, I got my food, and I left. Don't get me wrong, the ravioli, sauce, and garlic, bread was good, But 45 minutes for a simple six ravioli? And I understand that they might've been busy, but he could've at least, given me a heads up at the beginning,, saying, your order is going to take this amount of time. Is that OK? I might've stayed, and I might have left. That, and the fact that they wouldn't do a simple, half-and-half, ravioli. how hard is it to take six of this ravioli, and six of that ravioli, and just throw them in the same pan? I would order from here again, but the next time I would definitely call in ahead of time and find out what the turnaround time is. This was an unpleasant experience. read more

We ate here while traveling through town for Memorial Day weekend and it was DELICIOUS! We got two different types of pizza, raviolis with their garlic sauce, and a lemonade cake. D. POOF. I clutched my pearls. My flabbers were gasted. I could not believe my ears. The person told me that they switched over to a "new point system". Whatever that's supposed to mean. My "new point system" for them would be a one on a scale of 1-10 with whatever this malarkey was. I still got a pizza because I was hungry, but I couldn't use my "reward" points which made me eat more pizza because I was sad, leaving me bloated and miserable. They should've told me. Babe's saved the day! We discovered on a recent trip to the area that Eureka is not the best town for food options, but pizza was one of the few things we could all agree on. The pizza at Babe's lived up to our hungry appetites and hit the spot for some hungry travelers. They have all the classic pies on the menu, but our group generally agreed that the Babe's supreme with pepperoni, Canadian bacon, sausage and veggies (including spinach) was their standout. It was crispy and perfectly baked. We also loved their salad bar with fresh toppings and the ability to help ourselves to generous portions. While we ate, we enjoyed the comfy booth seating and appreciated watching the Giants on the big screen TV. I was also happy to find Babe's on the other side of town from the main strip.
