OVERALL : A newly rebranded and low key boba spot in El Monte (626 area)! They used to be a business called "Waffle Studio" but it looks like they have rebranded and introduced a full drink menu while still selling bubble waffles. The store itself was small but cozy. It looks like they are still relatively new so things were still in progress in terms of decor but they did have tables set up for customers to sit. There was only 1 employee working the day I came, but she was patient and prompt when taking / making the orders! We didn't try any waffles this time but decided on some drinks. PARKING : They have a parking lot so you do not have to worry about parallel parking. The lot is small and tucked away though, so I found it helpful to use my GPS and drive slowly to make sure I didn't miss it! FOOD/DRINKS : Ube Latte - phin style Vietnamese coffee w/ Ube foam -- the coffee was strongggg but in a good way! Def lives up to the Vietnamese coffee rep of being bold, creamy, and sweet! The ube adds a nice touch as well. Matcha Brûlée - one of their blended drinks made with a brûlée cream around the cup and a matcha slush as the main drink base. Not too sweet, matcha flavor did come through! I usually don't get blended drinks but this was nice for a hot day as an afternoon treat! read more

Stopped by here to get some work done and I would say to give it a try if you're in the area. My partner got the Vietnamese coffee and it's really strong but the flavors are very balanced. Remember that leans on the sweeter side since it's a Vietnamese iced coffee. I got the strawberry matcha latte and I would say to pass on this - the strawberry sauce was tart making the milk taste sour and the matcha flavor wasn't very strong. The egg waffle and taiyaki were both good too. I think they use a similar batter for both so if you're conflicted on what to get, I would say to pick what texture and flavor you want. For those who want to study here, there's free wifi and a few outlets. I think it can get a little loud with some of the equipment sometimes but it's bearable with headphones. I stopped by the store about 5-10 minutes before closing. I honestly felt bad coming in that late, so I ordered something simple (the Pink Dragon) and also left a tip. But I couldn't drink it at all. After one sip, I felt like something was wrong. The drink smelled like the diffusers they use in the store. I'm not sure if that's how it's supposed to taste, but it didn't seem right to me. It is so hard to find legit viet coffee nowadays without having to go into a Vietnamese restaurant. AND this place is super affordable. I rather spend $6 here than other coffee places. I got the Ube Phin and it was DELICIOUS! The coffee itself is a strong bitter taste and when it's mixed with ube flavor (not powdery at all), it's a perfect blend! Can't wait to go back and try other drinks! read more

Everything here is made after your order so you guys definitely need to be patience with them. They make some delicious drinks as well. I took my mom to buy insurance and noticed this shop, so I decided to give it a try. The decor is very cute and simple, which creates a nice atmosphere. Staff is very friendly and attentive, which is a plus. I ordered the Orient Oolong Milk Tea at 50% sweetness. Unfortunately, the tea tasted a bit over brewed and had a lingering bitterness. The astringent/dry taste feeling was on my tongue after every sip. This could be an area they can improvement or maybe this is just a one time mistake on timing/temperature of the tea. They asked me how it tasted before I leave the store. The sweetness was good but I didn't pay attention to the dry taste until I was on the road already. I love their boba though, it was soft on the outside and qq on the inside. Overall, it was still a decent experience, and I'd be willing to give this place another try the next time I'm in the area. I am so glad that B Lets Roastery finally opened. Upon arrival, it's very cute, cozy and spacious. there are plenty of tables to sit at. Service was very great. Two gentlemen took my order and they made sure to ask if there were any adjustments needed for the drink. I decided to go for the Ube latte. I love how the coffee balances out the sweetness. For me, even though it was at 100% sweetness, it wasn't too sweet at all, which I really like. But if you want to adjust the sweetness, the barista will gladly adjust the sweetness according to your liking. read more

Really like how strong their coffee is! It's so hard to get good viet coffee in rowland/hacienda area so finding this spot a 15 min drive away was great. I really like their black sesame coffee! They are open early! Came Sunday morning before 8AM and they were completely empty. Been seeing the signs for Waffle Studio and how they have the best coffee. They rebranded to B'Lets Roastery so I cannot compare the difference between the two. 4 drinks size small for ~$18! Not bad considering how $$$ drinks cost these days. Small size is perfect for everyday drinking. This coffee is dark and strong, just what I need. 5/5 Matcha Coffee 5/5 Viet Phin Coffee -- and not too sweet either :) A very vibey place that would be suitable for meeting up with friends. Stopped by Waffle Studio (now rebranded to B'Lets Roastery) and tried the crème brûlée coffee and ube coffee, along with the egg waffle coconut pandan. The drinks were good, but definitely on the pricey side. The egg waffle was okay, though I can't help but feel it was a bit of a splurge for what I got. While waiting for our order, a houseless person came in, and I noticed how some customers seemed uncomfortable, naturally so but I wasn't weirded out, just alert. I really appreciated that the staff gave the houseless person water, especially since I know some places would have kicked them out. It's nice to see that kind of kindness and empathy! read more

I've been enjoying stopping at BLets on my way to work. Their hours are amazing. I love my 50% sweet matcha einspanner. Came here for an afternoon pick me up! The ambience is super cute. Got the Lychee Zen and Grass Jelly Milk. Also got the Pandan egg waffle. I loved the Lychee Zen. It wasn't overly sweet and very refreshing. Parking lot is small but every time I go, it's been pretty easy to get parking as it's not a busy plaza. Service has so been quick every time I come. It was a Wednesday morning and I needed a coffee that was on the stronger side. I came across B'lets Roastery and decided to give it a try. I arrived around 8:00 AM, so there wasn't any wait time to order. There was also plenty of parking in the shared lot. I ordered and got my drink within a few minutes. I was debating between the Brûlée and the Ube coffee. I decided on the Ube coffee (less ice) and was not disappointed! The base of the coffee is Vietnamese coffee that is strong and a bit sweet. The Ube foam was a generous amount and wasn't too sweet. The price was also very reasonable. The only thing I didn't like was that it took a long time to stir the Ube with the provided straw. I'll definitely come back to try the Brûlée coffee! Note: American Express is accepted. read more

We stopped by to grab coffee on a weekday morning. Decor is very cute although one side of the shop is used mostly for storage. They have bogo 50% coffee every morning. We ordered the crème brûlée latte and the ube latte. Service was fast and friendly and our drinks were ready in less than 5 minutes. Drinks were sweet, creamy, and strong. The foam topping is very thick which I actually like because it doesn't dissolve as quickly. The ube latte had some jelly on the bottom which I wasn't expecting. Overall, I'll definitely come back to try their other coffees. The only downside is the location of the plaza is on the corner of really busy intersection and it can take awhile to turn in and out. read more

I was passing by this area and decided to stop by Waffle Studio for fun. I was pleasantly surprised by how good this place is! They have a variety of delicious waffles, teas, and coffees to choose from. I ordered the strawberry waffle, which was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, topped with fresh strawberries and whipped cream. It was so good that I almost finished it by myself. I also tried the house salted coffee and the coconut coffee blended, both of which were smooth and flavorful. The house salted coffee had a nice balance of sweet and salty, while the coconut coffee blended was creamy and refreshing. The staff was friendly and attentive, and the cafe was cozy and cute. Famous with Vietnamese coffee type. Strong flavor brings from thick espresso and creamy from condensed, top with sea salt or UBE foam. Oh my goodness, so great combinations. I felt the staff should've mentioned they can't make the drink completely sugar free when I ordered. I had to drive back to the shop to ask them. Luckily they offered to replace the drink for me, and I chose to replace with a cold brew. Unluckily, they didn't refund me the drink difference so I lost a bit of money there. Overall, it was a so-so experience. I might return if I'm ever craving a strawberry matcha, and if hubby wants to try their other drinks.

All their drinks come not too sweet which I definitely appreciate. The double strawberry matcha comes topped with a decadent layer of strawberry cream on top for that intense strawberry flavor. But I might've loved the waffle sticks more. It's basically cake on a stick with all your favorite toppings. And they even have the viral Dubai chewy cookie here too! Taste is up to your preference . I usually drink my strawberry Matcha with some sort of cream however, this strawberry Matcha tasted more like just Matcha no strawberry or cream. Also, I did not realize it wasn't made with oat milk so I opted for a dairy free option. They were very accommodating however I didn't get a refund. I paid more for the double strawberry Matcha than the honeydew tea. I love the cute cups though.

My only complaint is the quality of the clear to-go cups. I've gotten drinks to go twice now, and both times I've had issues with either the cup breaking or the lid not snapping securely into place. Unfortunately, it did cause my coffee to spill in my car and all over my outfit, which was definitely frustrating. That being said, I don't think that reflects on the coffee or the staff at all. The service has always been nice, and the space itself is spacious and comfortable. I'd definitely come back, I just hope they consider switching to sturdier to-go cups!
