I tested a veloster based on an advertisement price listed at $9984. After a test drive, I was presented a quote with an additional lojack fee of $995 and clear coat (paint) fee of $495 that was not listed in the original advertisement. They try to get you in the door, and then add on hidden fees that weren't in the ad in the attempt to make it appear as if they lowered the price for you. Go to another dealership! These guys will try to use bait and switch strategies and do whatever to fool you. Not this guy, though. To the guy who tried to sell me, you give sales people the bad rep you all have. The guy wouldn't let me take the quote, only a picture. Every other dealership that I've been to would.

You love to see a "no haggle" dealership that automatically adds $1000 for LoJack (a freaking joke since a gps+odb2 tracker can be had for 1/100 the price these days) AND A $500 nonsense "clear coat" which is basically a spray on wax. I mean seriously folks, these are the same tactics we used when I was selling cars in 1999, I can't believe y'all still trynna pull the same stunts. Gtfouttahere with those hidden stealership fees!

I gave this location a 5 if I can leave them a 10 Jr the manager and the sales rep Carlos were awesome Jr went above and beyond to give me the price that I wanted to be able too get the car I wanted The inventory they have is really good and vet low miles with all the cars facts I really re

Chris was amazing and helped me find my perfect car for both me and my husband! Thank you so much .

I'm about to lay it on the line here, and all of the "One Star" ratings are "Spot On" as the rating I gave them above! Scam is an under statement. 2013 Camaro purchased two days ago is now back on the lot and $500.00 less in our pockets due to the lies told to us prior to sealing the deal. It is illegal for a licensed dealer to sell a vehicle to a customer with an active recall issued to that vehicle which is what they did to us. It was Auto Republics responsibility to have had that recall corrected before it rolled off the lot. They told us that it could bee corrected at any GM dealer or certified mechanic by making an appointment. NOT TRUE! We were on our way to do this, in addition to have a repair made with the extended warranty we purchased for $1900.00 due to a repair the failed on the cooling system at their Fullerton location. They had told us that the problem had been corrected, yet that evening of the day we drove it off the lot, it was back. LIES AGAIN! With under 24 hours of ownership, the S##T hit the fan with a Christmas tree of warning lights on the dash screaming at us. I can't make this up, and would have rather been able to keep the car for our son who had fell in love with this beautiful car. Beauty my dear reader is only skin deep, and got it back quickly under the 48 hours of ownership to cancel the deal, and lose $500.00 dollars to get out from under the commitment. This is crazy, unethical, shady, and a kick to the nuts as far as I'm concerned! This place is like a massive puppy farm of unchecked, and dangerous cars and trucks! I have always lived by the rule of "don't judge a book by it's cover" based on the looks of this place, but I should have in this situation. Looks like a dump, but they had the car we have been seeking for some time. It had spent 3 months on the lot prior to us seeing it, and when asked why, it was due to Covid-19 because SUV's were more popular than sport coupes. BS! This whole charade has only solidified my beliefs that used car salesmen are snakes that prey on uninformed customers, and YES, I was one, but never again! Don't let the cheerful faces and lies sway you like they did to my son, wife, and embarrassingly enough, ME! They run dealers in Orange, Fullerton, and Cypress. Remember the the name: AUTO REPUBLIC! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED! Thank you. BTW: I could have bought the same car from a dealer in Temecula (Paradise Motors) for $2000 more that came with a free expended warranty of 5 years / 100k miles but didn't want to drive the distance. NEXT TIME I WILL IF I CAN FIND ANOTHER CAMARO!!! UGH!

Michael J.

One of the best car buying experience I've ever had. These guys are not out to take all of your money. They sell you quality cars. I just recently bought a 2014 Camaro 53,000 miles for unbelievable great price. One of the salesman named Joseph went out of his way to make sure that I had an opportunity to look at the car before someone else bought it. You can't get that kind of loyalty from other places. Come in, be respectful, And drive away with your dream car.

Shout out to the team at Auto Republic for making it possible for me to drive a Jeep Grand Cherokee. I went to the dealer feeling like I had no chance of being approved for this awesome car. I'll be honest, my credit is not the greatest and I don't make tons of money. But the guys at Auto Republic made sure I left satisfied and happy with the car and the customer service. JR was very attentive, he made sure I was taken care of as soon as I pulled into the lot. I didn't have to go find anyone, he made sure I was helped right off the bat. Juan was the one who initially contacted me over the phone. When I was at the lot, he made the time to show me the car and explain the specs. He's chill, knowledgeable, and put no pressure on me. When crunching numbers, he was willing to go back and forth to get me at a comfortable monthly payment. Bryan helped me out with financial paperwork. He's a pro in the sales/finance department. He did not try to pressure me into any unnecessary add-ons or waste of money upgrades. Plus he made sure I got copies of everything. One thing that I really like is that the team wanted to know more about me versus trying to get me to sign on the dotted line. I know their goal is to sell cars, but just as they learned about my situation, I learned some things about them too. They are hardworking people just like the rest of us. As a solo woman who was shopping for a car, I didn't feel surrounded by sharks. They took the time to communicate with me in order to make sure I was happy with a car and a monthly payment that fits my situation. My Jeep is in great condition and I got it below KBB. The low jack is a bonus, I like the added security knowing that should a theft occur, there's a way to trace the location of my vehicle. I recommend Auto Republic to anyone looking for a great deal and great customer service. Thanks guys!

Having my fair share of terrible vehicles, Auto Republic really came through. The general manager Jr and sales rep Steph actually cared and gave me the best deal on my 2012 Honda Crosstour. Most dealerships rip you off but Auto Republic saved me so much money and put me in one of the most reliable vehicles. This car drives great, sounds great and looks amazing! Thank you Steph and Jr for being so good to me when I needed it most! I won't forget it! read more

This place is legit! I saw a car that had a killer deal compared to many other dealerships and KBB. Went to the dealership at 3:30pm, test drove, traded in my old vehicle and financed my new car with School's First...I came out of the dealership with my new car at 6pm. This place is quick & efficient and they play no games. Juan and Junior did a fantastic job! Keep it up! read more

I discovered AR-Cypress from browsing cargurus.com. I saw that they had the perfect vehicle in stock so I sent an inquiry email to them to find out if the vehicle was still available. About an one hour later I received a return email from Bill letting me know the vehicle was still there. GREAT! I kept in touch with Bill until I was able to get to the dealership. I finally made it into the dealership and I was greeted by a gentleman that was apart of the staff. He explained to me Bill would be with me shortly. I waited inside for him. Once he came in , he introduced himself and showed me to the vehicle. He allowed me to look over the vehicle and take a test drive without rushing me through the process. Very patient and I appreciate that. When it was decided that this car was what I wanted we proceeded to numbers and paperwork. Everything was basically a breeze, my concerns and questions were answered with such a great customer service attitude. I felt really comfortable with the whole experience. The manager came out for paperwork , I want to say his name was JR if not I'm sorry I forgot your name . He was also a pleasure to meet and work with. Everyone was genuinely nice and personable here and I definitely would recommend this place to family and friends. I would say I was in and out within 2 hours. Thank you guys for being so amazing . Juan at Auto Republic was absolutely amazing. I never stepped into the dealership at all. I called Auto Republic and did everything over the phone and email. They got me a better rate than at Arrowhead Credit union (my bank) and delivered the vehicle to me in San Bernadino and they took an Uber back to dealership. It was a great and simple process. I will definitely recommend Auto Republic to friends and family. read more

Excellent experience with Auto Republic! My wife and I were looking for a used car and after utilizing their easy to navigate web-site (which has an extensive amount of inventory), we narrowed our search down to a Mazda 3. Angel was our salesman and he was so polite, knowledgeable, and eager to ensure we were happy with our choice. Junior walked us through the paperwork and made sure we were satisfied and that all of our questions were answered. We were treated well, we got a great deal, and we are happy with our *new* car...thank you Auto Republic! read more

DONT EVER GO TO THIS LOCATION of AUTO REPUBLIC!! I spoke to Juan two days ago who was VERY rude on the phone about the car I saw that I wanted. When I called back I spoke to Rebecca who was VERY nice but when Juan realized I was coming in for an appointment with Rebecca (instead of him), he sold the car we wanted out from under us. We had our financing all set and everything which they knew. All we needed to do was come see it and test drive it. We planned to purchase this car yesterday. However, when Rebecca realzed that Juan was trying to sell it before we got to our appt. at 4:00 she called us to tell us to come early which we did. We got there at 3:20 but Juan had already gotten another customer to test drive it and purchase the car by the time we arrived. So UNCOOL. He was just trying to beat his nice co-worker (Rebecca) out of a commission, because I refused to work with him due to his rudeness. Luckily we found the exact same year car with less miles only a few miles away and got a great deal, extra perks and they treated us like GOLD the entire time we were there. I'd never recommend Auto Republic Cypress. Very SHADY! Rebecca go find a sales job at another dealership that will treat you better than that! read more

I had a great experience with Marco. he was very nice, friendly and helpful, and went above and beyond than a what normal salesperson would. I came alone with a rental, and he helped me drive my car back to the rental car company so that I wouldn't have to uber. also, he brought me floor mats for my car on his way home as the car I bought didn't come with any. he even filled my gas tank upon my purchase. my only concern was that my tire light and engine light came on a couple of days after driving it... but Marco was available via his cell phone to help me resolve these, and so far, the lights haven't come back on. Fingers crossed that there are no real issues! read more

I scheduled a test drive for a Volkswagen Tiguan the night before, which an allotted time slot of afternoon. I drove over 40 miles, before I left I called to double check it was there, they had confirmed it was available, and I said "Great so I can test drive it in the next hour" and they confirmed. We arrive, and are told it sold the night before. Then after trying to get me interested in other SUVs , I received an email on the ride home saying the car was no longer available for a test drive. WOW, slap in the face. Classic bait & switch to try and get customers to look at other cars. read more

I never thought I would say this "We had the best experience buying a car!" Thanks to Albert and Jr., from Auto Republic in Cypress. There is no secret, buying a car can be a traumatic experience especially when you have to deal with unscrupulous sales persons. It happened to us. A few years ago, my husband and I bought a car from a dealer. The process was so painful and enraging that we never wanted to repeat it again. To ensure this, we decided to only buy a car from a dealer with no haggle price policy. We were in the market for a newer car. After searching for a few months, yesterday afternoon, we found the car we wanted and the dealer we wanted to buy from - a Volvo XC60 and the Auto Republic in Cypress. I called and talked to Albert. After a short conversation, we decided to see the car. In less than one hour after we arrived, we bought the car! While Albert walked us through the buying process, Jr., his manager worked on getting us the best finance deal. There was no pressure, no drama, nothing! We walked in, saw the car, took it for a ride, and bam! Done! Don't buy a car without first checking them out! They have an amazing selection, prices, and staff. read more

I purchased a Mazda3 Grand Touring from the Auto Republic Cypress location. Bill and Jr were very easy to work with. They are straight forward on what you get for the money. Keep in mind there is an additional $695 charge on top of the sticker price for Lo-Jack which is installed in every vehicle and transferred to your name when you purchase the car. A lot of other used car dealerships just charge a "Dealer Fee" but at least you're getting something for your money with this cost. There are no other"hidden fees" like other dealerships. I don't enjoy buying cars, but these guys made it a smooth process and I would definitely buy a car from Auto Republic again. read more

Purchased my first big girl truck, a Ford F-150 Fx4 from the Cypress Auto Republic location. I'd been looking everywhere for the truck I wanted at a decent price, I was also very hesitant on having to deal with sales guys and problems with purchasing a used truck. Luckly my experience with Bill had been seemless and stress free. When I found this F150 it came equipped with LoJack. I didn't understand what it was, so I felt I didn't want it and didn't want to have to pay for it. All I can say is, I wish every vehicle made had a low jack installed. After a month and a half of having the truck I'd been searching months for.... It was stolen between 9pm and 11:30pm outside a friends house. I was able to make a police report and I let them know about the LoJack. Once reported it's automatically turned on. Police got a hit on my truck and she found at 3pm the next day.... Less than 24hrs. I've been very happy with my experience with auto Republic and would definitely recommend if you're looking for a vehicle. read more

9/20/2018 I had a good experience at Auto Republic. Juanita at the Santa Ana Store, was very prompt and helpful. I ended up buying a Dodge truck from the Cypress store. Marco my salesperson was very polite, helpful and knowledgeable. We agreed on a price, and it was pretty much a done deal. They do try to sell you the Lojack, that is previously installed, you can decline, but they are pretty persistent. Which I understand they need to make money too. Lojack is a fine product, I was just not interested. Overall we are very happy with the vehicle, and the service. I would recommend Auto Republic. read more

I did a ton of research to find a reliable used car for my daughter, now that she has moved out on her own. So I had a very good idea of the market and prices. Cypress Motors had a very clean (one owner) low miles car in the year and model we wanted. The salesman, Nathan, was a pleasure to deal with. I know from my research that the price was very fair and they were able to beat the financing I had gotten from my credit union. My daughter is happy because she has a beautiful car that will last her many years. I am happy because I know it is reliable and safe, and that we got a very good deal for her. Jonathan in service is a ROCK STAR!!! I I'm a car guy. We were looking for a specific truck. I hit Craigslist, Auto Republic had trucks on there. I looked at Cars.com, Car Max and Auto Repubilc's trucks were on those sites. I went to my guy at Galpin, he had 2 that were not what we wanted. Auto Republic had 2 trucks that I wanted. When I called, Johnny was EXTREMELY helpful! I asked 100 questions and he answered them all. I told him I wanted the truck on the phone sight-unseen - I asked if it was smoked in - no. We Bought the truck and then they got to impress me! The roof of the crew cab was caved in on the passenger side!!! The sales manager Ivan stepped up and said they'd fix it! I took the truck back and it stayed for 4 days and it is home now!!!! They make it right! Ask the right questions and you are in good hands!!! We had gone to a dealership in Buena Park and had a horrible experience and walked away from that place, but we were still on the hunt for a Chrysler 300. When we found an even better one on Auto Republic's website and From the moment I called Auto Republic and spoke to Jimmy I knew this is where we were going to buy our car! Jimmy was nothing but helpful and patient as we looked at different cars on the lot but kept coming back to the 300. Jimmy made sure we knew about all the extras that was not in the sticker price ( lo jack, clear coat etc..) there was nothing hidden from us!! They were a little busy so we had the pleasure of also working with Bill who was also up front and honest about everything and a pleasure to chat with. The WORST car buying experience you will ever experience, especially from the rude and unprofessional manager at Cypress location. The manager repeatedly changed the final prices on the car and was giving attitude when you want to know more. The manager got the tax fee wrong and at first wouldn't admit his mistake. He almost forced me to sign a wrong document. Hands down the WORST customer service and extremely unprofessional! Unless they are the only place that have your drem car and can't find it somewhere else, go to a different dealer. They will add charges that are optional. They force you to get the lojack add-on. They told me that because it was already installed, you now have to pay for it. I asked if the lojack was optional and they say yes (and it actually is, the paperwork says that is optional, and according to the paperwork, you have the option to decline it) however, because they already installed it, they told me that either I accept the lojack charge or I could not take the car at all. I needed a car, that's why I was there (not to mention I had already given a significant down payment and finished the paperwork). And they even tell you that it is explicit on the website that the lojack is added to the final price. BUT they don't tell you is optional. That's why the lojack is not included in the car price to begin with, because it is an add on. They claim transparency but they are "transparent" in their own way. Very annoyed by their ultimatum. They also have a clear coat add on, that you have to pay for it too, that one Is not possible to remove, and I left it as is because there is nothing you can do about it, and that's why I only questioned the lojack. Please be aware that they will force you to pay for optional add ons. read more

I had already purchased an OEM replacement handle from an authorized Honda parts dealer, and initially planned to have the dealership install it. However, the dealership quoted me a very high labor cost and required me to leave my car overnight due to their busy schedule. After doing some research, I found Action Auto in Cypress and spoke with Mark. From the very first phone call, Mark was friendly, professional, and transparent. Best of all, his quote was about half the price of what the dealership wanted to charge. The convenience was a huge bonus. They told me I could bring my car in anytime between 8am-5pm (and even Sundays 8am-3pm). I dropped off my car at 8:30am, and it was ready by lunchtime the same day. On top of that, they even offered a complimentary shuttle ride home--something the dealership no longer provides. The entire experience was smooth and stress-free. Mark's customer service was outstanding both over the phone and in person. The shop itself was clean and well-organized, and I noticed several repeat customers while I was there, which says a lot about their reputation. Most importantly, my door handle works perfectly now--just like when I first bought the car. I'll definitely be coming back to Action Auto for future repairs. As my previous review states, my aunt was looking at a Subaru Forester AWD wagon for her crazy winter and summer mountain/country trips and so she'd come all the way from West LA in order to check the car out at Cypress Motors' Fullerton location... after finding out that the car was actually located at this sister location, my aunt and I were personally escorted by Henry Kim and introduced to the team here. We first met the GM here, Mike Ramirez, and upon introduction, he came off as a genuine, funny and charismatic guy. Not your typical sales manager and that made us feel at ease. He took the time to ask us (my aunt) questions about what she was looking for, why she wanted that specific model and to get a good feel for what her needs were before he jammed us with his own idea of what she should buy. We were offered soda/water (thanks!) and were introduced to Kevin Le who was as professional as they come in this business. Kevin walked us to the car, took the time to find out about my aunt and what she expected out of a vehicle and then took us for a test drive. During the test drive, he didn't overpower the conversation; instead, he allowed for us to speak between ourselves (in the front seats), even when my aunt criticized a couple things (brakes felt a little spongy and one of the window switches were slow to roll up). Once we got back to the lot and best believe my aunt gunned it (lol, old lady has soul power!), Kevin let us talk outside about the car and the deal before coming back to meet with him inside. My aunt used her own financing because she's a credit union member, but she did opt to check what rate and APR they could get her -- it was pretty much on cue with the CU (surprising, but then again not, based on her credit!)... to make a long story short, Mike and Kevin cooked up a swell deal for us and my aunt drove off with a new beautiful Subaru. They even threw in a new set of tires and brakes as well as had the driver's side window switchplate replaced (at Fullerton) about a week later at no cost and without any warranty upsell of any kind... I was impressed. I gotta say, I am not a fan of the car buying process; it's probably as exciting as going to the dentist for me... but these two guys and the team at the other location in Fullerton really made us feel at home and went the extra mile to *earn* our business. I'm in a lease right now, but I'll be back to purchase a car here, especially based on their higher-end inventory. Can you guys get a '59 Eldorado in for me? ;) read more

- A Truly Outstanding Experience! Rating: (5/5) Review: I recently had the pleasure of purchasing a new car from Auto Republic, and I must say that my experience with their car salesman, Chris, was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment I stepped foot into the dealership to the moment I drove off in my new vehicle, Chris went above and beyond to ensure that I had an outstanding car buying experience. First and foremost, Chris was incredibly knowledgeable. He patiently listened to my requirements, preferences, and budget, and expertly guided me towards the perfect vehicle that met all my needs. His depth of knowledge and genuine passion for cars were truly impressive, and he answered every single one of my questions with confidence and clarity. Moreover, Chris was highly professional throughout the entire process. He never pressured me into making a hasty decision or tried to upsell me on unnecessary features. Instead, he took the time to understand my priorities and worked within my budget to find the best possible deal. His honesty and integrity were truly refreshing in an industry that can sometimes be known for high-pressure sales tactics. In addition to his expertise and professionalism, Chris provided exceptional customer service. He was attentive, patient, and genuinely invested in ensuring my complete satisfaction. He took the time to explain all the features of the car in detail and even offered a comprehensive test drive, allowing me to experience the vehicle's performance firsthand. His attention to detail and personalized approach made me feel valued as a customer, and I felt confident that I was making the right choice. Lastly, Chris was just outstanding. He let me know that I can follow up with him even after the purchase, to ensure that everything is going smoothly and will address any minor concerns promptly. His commitment to customer satisfaction extended beyond the point of sale, which is a testament to his dedication and commitment to building long-lasting relationships with his customers. Overall, my experience with Chris at Auto Republic was simply exceptional. I would wholeheartedly recommend him to anyone in search of a knowledgeable, professional, and customer-oriented car salesman. He made the entire car buying process a breeze and exceeded all my expectations. Thank you, Chris, for providing such an outstanding experience. You are a true asset to the dealership! I am so excited to be a customer of yours. read more

My wife decided she would take it upon herself to purchase a car after her Honda was severely damaged in an accident, on Monday 6/22/20 I got a call at work from my wife to inform me that she found a car but the dealer would not take a check, I spoke to Juan and was told that they do not take checks which was a huge red flag, and told him that if it was me i would've walked out, what legitimate business won't take a check. My wife's first language is not English she gets by but misses alot of things, she went back with cash the very next day and bought the car, when I got home from work I looked at the paperwork and saw a $900 charge for a lojack I asked my wife what that was, I know it's a vehicle location system but was sure she did not know and was not told of this add on, and was right she said she had no idea what it was she bought the car from Juan obviously not an upfront or honest man. I was told on wednesday that he was not in that day so I called back the following day and was told he was out so I asked to speak to the manager, junior a real gem I'm sure according to the fake posts, any way I explained the lojack and my wife's language issue and he immediately knew who I was talking about and the the car I was talking about. I have never spoken to this person or been anywhere near this place and did not tell him which vehicle I was talking about, this clown immediately knew who my wife was, my wife's very heavy accent that is hard to forget, he proceeded to tell that they had explained it to my wife but he was not present, I told him that my wife did not know what it was or what it did and that they knew this to be true to which this clown chuckled, I told him that this was a very shady and unethical way of doing business and was hung up on. These people cannot be trusted they are crooks and con men everybody do yourselfs a favor and steer clear of this bunch of crooks, as far as the obvious BS that will be posteod by the so called owner STUFF IT you sold an older lady who you knew didn't understand what the he'll you were pulling something she didn't need, want, or ask for. I can honestly say this dealership was amazing and the customer service was beyond incredible. After being in an accident in which my car was totaled I found myself carless and in desperate need of one. I spent weeks searching online and finally came across a 2014 Honda Civic at the cypress location. I called to inquire about the car and set up a time to come look at it. It was everything I wanted and more! It had all the features I wanted and was in excellent condition, well maintained and very clean. Big shout out to the manager Jose who gave me a great deal I couldn't walk away from. The entire staff was very friendly and helpful and I was so happy to have such a beautiful car after the ordeal I had been through and weeks of searching. I have received so many compliments on my new car and have referred everyone who has asked me to this place because not only did I feel appreciated as a customer but Jose really helped me out to get this car and explained all the paperwork so well. I never once felt confused or taken advantage of as I'm sure anyone who has shopped for a car has encountered before. I highly recommend to come to this place because they helped me drive out of there with a dream car and I couldn't be happier!!!! read more

I just had to write a review for this great dealership. I had been searching months for a kia Optima Sx. Somehow every time I found one that I really liked, it would immediately get sold. Luckily I found this dealer through car gurus. It had the make, model, and year of the car I was looking for. Right off the bat when I called, Angel the sales representative, was able to answer every question I had about the car. That Same night I made my drive from the San Fernando Valley to Cyprus to check it out. Immediately when I pulled into the lot I saw the car parked right in front ready for me to view it. Angel immediately came out to greet me. He Gave me a little tour of the car, test drove it, and gave me the car fax report. Right after, we went inside to complete the paperwork. knowing that my credit score was terrible I was extremely nervous about getting approved. After a few minutes Angel came out and gave me some number and I was extremely happy about it. Now I am a happy owner of a Kia Optima Sx Thank you angel! read more

Wow... Can't believe a small place like this can make a BIG difference when purchasing a car for the first time. Have gone to many dealers before making my decision and by far this place along with the staff are absolutely awesome!!! They are very friendly and know how to treat you like a person instead of just another pay-day! Gone to a few other dealers which I will not mention how much I wasn't treated like a serious buyer because I was young and a first time buyer. It seemed like everyone was just trying to take advantage of me (being a girl) and them not really knowing that I am a bit brighter than your average girl that knows nothing about cars. All the places I visited were dishonest and lied about practically anything to get me into a car. But this place by far is the most honest and upfront place I've visited. Thank you Auto Republic for my dream car Sonata Hybrid and thank you Jose and all the other staff for making me feel at home. I will definitely come back for the next purchase!!! read more

I just bought a 2016 Chevy Malibu today. Amazing experience. They had washed the car, gave it a full tank of gas. Provides all information, gave us TWO test drives. The salesman name was JOHN. He was very thorough in explaining everything, had a great attitude, was extremely helpful and very knowledgeable.. also they only go through very good reputable banks when financing! No shady deals here. All the cars they showed us were thoroughly checked and maintained. The manager JUNIOR who helped us file all the papers was awesome. He carefully explained in depth the financing and great warranty they offered us. He was very patient and knowledgeable with all the questions we had. In short this place was exactly what we were looking for and needed in the past month. They exceeded our expectations, assured us and gave us confidence in any questions or doubts we ever had walking into there! Out of 5 stars I give this place a solid 7! read more

Let me start by saying I was not a fan of the car buying process, but this experience was painless. I had visited several other dealerships prior to going to Auto Republic, so I was aware that each dealership has potential add on costs not listed in the advertised price. I called AR before I went in and I was provided with what would be included in the "out-the-door" price. I read some of the other reviews and see this is the issue some people based their ratings on. However, since this seems to be standard, I would recommend a call in advance so that you can know if the car is within your budget. Having said that, I dealt with both Juan and his manager Junior. Both were very friendly, helpful and compassionate to my circumstances. The deal was completed promptly and I did not have to spend hours working through the process. I would definitely buy from Auto Republic again and will not longer dread the experience! Thanks! read more

Could not be more satisfied!! This place is such a blessing. The team there are kind, honest and insistent on helping you find exactly what you're looking for. I was referred by a friend who'd gotten a couple of cars from Auto Republic. She was excited to take me because she knew without a doubt that I would be taken care of. My old car which was a 1996 Toyota Camry had its share of MAJOR issues and was finally at its ending point, and not having transportation is definitely not an option. Right away, Stephanie greets us. Super friendly and down to earth! She was genuinely interested and honest in helping me weigh out my options, as opposed to some salesman who try to rush through the process. I ended up leaving with a 2015 Hyundai Sonata and an AMAZING deal. They were willing to meet me with what I was able to afford. And I honestly wouldn't want to go anywhere else after being introduced to them. Thank you Stephanie! read more

Don't buy a car from this place they cannot be trusted! Typical bait and switch used car dealer. We bought a car from them on 8/30/16 everything seemed fine at the dealership and when we test drove the car. After buying the car and driving it home it started to make a high pitch whining noise that would come and go when the engine was running. We took it by our mechanic but they could not tell where the noise was coming from by just looking and listening so now we have to pay more money for our mechanic to determine and fix the issue. When we called Auto Republic to see if they would be willing to address the problem they just told us you bought the car as-is and that they are not willing to even look at the problem to see what it is or have their service department look at it. What a bunch of rip off artist. I had my reservations about buying a car from a place like this I guess I learned my lesson the hard way. read more

My wife and I had an Incredible buying experience at Auto Republic. The sales staff was absolutely hands down some of the most relaxed auto dealers we have come across. They were attentive and knowledgeable about the vehicles on their lot and were ready to answer questions if we had any, but they left us alone to look around their nice lot of attractive new cars without bothering us - which we LOVED. Once our sales associate, Albert, presented us with their offer, he again gave us an ample amount of time to come to a decision with no hassle whatsoever. Once it came time to have us sign our paperwork, we were extremely appreciative of how quickly Bryan was able to get everything together and ready to sign in almost no time at all. We were so happy with our experience at Auto Republic that we are already talking about upgrading my wife's vehicle and coming back to Auto Republic soon. Thanks again, Guys! read more

Let me just say my search for a car was a long and unending journey. I went to at least 4 or 5 different dealership that all did the same bait and switch, so by this point I was pretty done. My mom had got a car from them probably 12 years ago and she always said it was her favorite experience she's ever had at a car dealership. So I decided to try them out, I started out on the phone with Lilly, she was so sweet and helpful but she took a few days off and like I said I was pretty done with my car search, so I went in and I sealed mostly with Bill, he was awesome and I could tell that he knew right off the bat that he was going to sell us this car, without any negotiations so that was great. I was there for maybe an hour and drove off with a fantastic deal, I'm glad I went there because they are the best! So I just recently got my first car at Auto Republic and I just can't thank them enough for all the help they gave me . I was extremely nervous about how I was going to be treated , if this was going to go well or not , if I was going to get the car or not and sure enough when I got there they made me feel so comfortable as if we have been friends for years . At first I settled for a certain car but I wasn't too satisfied , so they took the liberty to take a shuttle to another location and check out the inventory and right then and there as I pulled up i saw the car I wanted with all the features I wanted . Now I'm a proud owner of a 2011 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X . Huge thanks to the entire staff and the fellas who helped me , Chris U. & Angel G. Keep up the great work fellas ! I most definitely recommend this dealership to anyone in the market for a new car at great prices . read more

This was impressive and a great service provided by AR. Javier took it to the mechanic first thing the next day, we were sent a report on the car that afternoon and purchased the car that evening. The purchase was easy, both finance managers Bryan (the first day) and JR were there to answer all questions and complete our paper work with out any issues whatsoever. Our experience with Auto Republic was a no hassle, no pressure easy and quick purchase. I would definitely look to buy another car from Auto Republic in the future. Thanks guys. read more

Amazing group of guys! Had a great experience purchasing my truck from them. Inspected the truck and it was in almost perfect shape. I can tell that these guys are doing things right with the variety and selection of clean cars and trucks that they have on the lot. I was amazed to find a truck this clean! Have been all over orange county and LA and havent found a truck this clean. I would recommend anyone who is looking for a quality used car or truck to come by Cypress Motors and check it out! Ask for Kevin! Hes a very knowledgeable guy with a great personality. Very professional. His co-worker Marco who helped me for a bit was a great guy as well! and They were never pushy or aggressive. I know they cant please everyone that comes by but I sure as heck know they did their best for more! Thanks guys! read more

Great experience with Andre and the team at Auto Republic. Connected with them via Car Gurus and they had the car we wanted waiting and everything was as advertised on the website, no unpleasant surprises or small print. Andre was very helpful in showing us around the lot at other options, nice selection, but ended up with our original choice. Very low pressure and very professional with us. The paperwork process was a breeze, had us in and out in a little over 30 minutes which is a fraction of the branded dealerships. They agreed to let our garage check the car out and they gave it an A for condition. My 16 year old son is a proud owner of his first car, thanks to Andre and Auto Republic team for making his first car a great experience! We'll be back, I have a 15 year old too. read more

Ok, so I just want to clear the air. Nathan no longer works there! When I arrived I was met by Lilian, and how can I describe this meeting with one word? Hmmm. Trick question! I can't because she was amazing and had great customer service skills! She treated me like her best friend! We shared a few jokes and got right to business on which car was for me. Then I was met by the manager who came out with a big smile and just made me feel like I was in The right spot! They really worked with me on getting into a new ride and made the process really enjoyable! I recommended all my friends thinking about getting a car to go to them. I live in San Diego and believe me, its worth the drive!!! LOVE IT. 10/10 for everything! Thank you Auto Republic!!! read more

Probably have done so 30 times or more over 40+ years. I see a few, very few negative reviews on here. Yes, Sammy is is very direct and blunt, but is a good guy. Cars are worth what he offers them to you for. Good cars from the not so nice but very low cost basic transportation cars in his back lot to the nicer ones out front. Was looking for an inexpensive commute car. Always bought from private parties, never took small lots serious but probably found one of the best buys ever at Sammy's. One owner, clean Carfax woman driven (name of owner was in the original manual package), always garaged 2004 Infinity I35...with 23,700 miles. That is 1,370 miles a year. Flawless interior and just a few minor flaws outside. Literally looks like a new car and drives like one. At a time when the used car market is way over price this was like a new car for $8,900. Love it, people ooh and awe over it. Jason and Mike, his two helpers, are not typical salespeople, good guys as well. Check them out, may be well worth your time.

Their aggregate rating was kind of low so I looked at the details. The only complaints they had were mistakes the DMV made and somebody that only talked to Joe on the phone. The guy that talked to Joe on the phone didn't like Joe. Now Joe was probably just in the middle of something because it's a small shop and he and Sue do everything But that's just the first impression maybe catching Joe at a bad time. I like the bus because it had a wheelchair lift and I need one because this bus fulfills my dreams of traveling in spite of challenges. Then we cut a hard deal with them. Negotiated real well and they gave us a good deal, which I'm sure they weren't happy with. That being said even though we negotiate hard with them a bit they were really kind and gracious. Went far out of their way to make sure everything went our way. They bent over backwards did way more than anybody could ask a car dealership to do. They're honest and decent people. And yeah Joe doesn't always have the best phone skills but his hearts in the right place. You can trust these people.

Highlights of the experience: The Car: It was exactly as advertised--clean and in great condition. They even made sure to include the Level 1 wall charging cord and the V2L adapter, which I really appreciated. The Team: Everyone was incredibly friendly. Kevin was great to work with over the phone leading up to the sale, and Ruben did an excellent job getting the car prepped and ready for the road. The Logistics: While they stayed firm on the price ($17,938.25), they were very helpful with the out-of-state logistics. I bought a used 2006 Toyota Tundra with ~$141K miles. Just a tip for anyone who is buying a car that old - you're going to spend more money to get it up to speed - things wear out no matter what with time. Don and his wife Leyna are a wonderful duo - Don clearly takes a lot of pride in the way he runs his business and Leyna is bright, easy to communicate with and very personable. After purchasing the car, I had noticed issues with the rear door lock actuators and brought it up to Don and Leyna. Honestly, it didn't even occur to me to check because you just assume they worked fine. They were very gracious and offered to replace and fix the issues at a fraction of what it cost me. I think this is extremely generous considering the car was bought "As-is" and they had no responsibility to fix it after I drove it off the lot. I think it speaks volumes of how Don wants his customers to perceive their experience at his dealership and knows that it's a small investment for a continuing relationship. This review is NOT intended to advertise or promise anything on their behalf, but my experience with them was great and they definitely earned this 5 start review. I will definitely keep them in mind in the future should I need another car!
