At a separate independent mechanic, when I went in for an inspection about an intermittent grinding sound when turning, I was recommended ~$10,000 in repairs ranging in "urgency", including a $700 quote to fix the grinding noise. I went to Owen for a second opinion, and he independently found everything the other shop had found, but gave much better context about the time until the "urgent" fixes would be necessary's and the consequences of delaying them, and it turned out the fixes were hardly urgent. Not only did Owen give a great explanation and context for the issues listed, he was incredibly personable and a pleasure to talk to. Additionally, Owen was an expert on our BMW, and was able to fix the intermittent grinding (specifically a loose brake cable) noise for ~$250 parts and labor. Additionally, Owen was a superb help in regard to a repair on a used BMW iX I purchased, which needed a headlight replacement (~$5000 at dealer). With Owen's help and advice, I was able to get a replacement headlight and control module installed ~$1400 parts and labor. Never a big fan of these guys as I brought my BMW here twice. Both the times they barely even walked up to look at your car or even try to genuinely help you without some sort of inspection or $129 diagnostic fee (even for something small etc). So I end up calling around and found Steve from Bavarian Auto House in Anaheim asked me to bring my Z4, plugged it in his ODB reader and in 5 mins was able to detect I need thermostat, 02 sensor and alternator belt replaced. I let him fix my car on the spot, paid cash and I was out in about 2 hrs. I easily would have fixed it here since I live 4 miles from them, but moving fwd I wouldn't waste my time here sorry. read more

They went ABOVE and BEYOND!! not only they fixed my uncommon and rather tricky repair with a good price and got it done in decent time They cleaned my engine bay and fixed up some important vacuum hoses WITHOUT TELLING ME and with NO EXTRA CHARGE. it seems like a hidden gem so far!!! my 34 years old diesel needs a rather tricky and uncommon repair, I estimated that it will cost me about $500 on labor. I found this shop through yelp and gave them a ring. Owen gives me a straight forward quote and good price (hint: it didnt cost me $500). I asked him does the shop's schedule have an opening, he said yes. Keeping it short, I brought the car over the day after around noon. They get it done by the end of the day. funny side story... I was driving the car home from the shop. The moment I left the parking lot and hit the gas, the car accelerated like it took a trip with a time machine and it is 10 years younger. The owner, Owen, should change the name of this place to "Ultimate Autohell", because that is what this place put me through when I innocently went there a couple of years ago to get my oil leak fixed on my 2012 BMW 328I. After the car was finished, I paid Owen and then went on a trip to Las Vegas. Along the way I was horrified that smoke kept pouring out from under the hood. The problem persisted throughout my 3 day vacation and all the way back to California. I went back to Owen (well within the warranty period) and complained that the oil leak hadn't been fixed. He insisted the oil leak was fixed and that the smoke was coming from oil that had soaked into the firewall. This turned out to be a lie. Owen is a slick operator, and for several months (per Owen's instructions), I religiously went to the self serve car wash and sprayed soapy water on the back wall of the engine compartment to clean the supposedly saturated firewall. But the awful smoke kept coming out! Finally, out of desperation, I went to an auto detail shop and had the whole engine compartment steam cleaned twice. That didn't solve the problem either. At this point I realized that I had been swindled. Unfortunately for me by this time Owen's "warranty", had expired. read more

I just moved to the area and needed the "Schedule A Service" for my 2010 E350. I didn't want to pay a dealer to do it, so I searched the Internet and found this place. The reviews were great, with most saying how honest and cool Owen was. How often do you find a trusty mechanic? So I went and asked Owen for a "Schedule A Service," which he said was merely a "glorified oil change" but he'll do the basic check-up to make sure everything was good. I also wanted to change the air filter. The oil change was about $97 and air filter was $55. When I picked up the car, Owen said the air filter was still good and he just cleaned it out for me. Um, seriously? He could have easily just changed it anyway even though I didn't really need it and jam me for the extra $55. Instead, he did something nearly nobody would do ... be a decent human being! The reviews and service are true! I'll be taking my car here every time from here on out! read more

I took my 05 Touareg in to Owen and his team for a weird humming noise. They repaired the noise however I noticed a few panels out of place and missing lug nut caps. I went back to Owen and he repaired and replaced without any hassle. Weeks later the noise returned, left it with Owen the switched the part for another. Got home and it appeared I had an oil leak. Went back and they replaced the same part a third time. And as they say their times a charm. No issues since. Now you'd think why I gave him a 5. I rated them a 5 because Owen stood by his worked and never gave me any hassle or lip about me coming back. Through no fault of his or his shop I happened to get two defective parts back to back. Owen did the repairs quick and double checked for issues. I don't know about you but I'll take an honest shop that stands by there work to ensure the customer is happy no matter what. WOW, I think I just saw a "white unicorn" of repair shops! I went in to fix an oil leak and power steering noise, Owen had my x5 for a few hours, called back and said that things needed some tightening/cleaning and no major issues. I went to pick up my car and NO CHARGE, he said that it was no big deal and have a nice day. I realize that there were no issues to fix, but he and his staff spent time looking for issues. Maybe were only talking about $50 to $75 dollars in service time, for Owen to send me off without charging me a nominal diagnosing fee is priceless to me as a customer. Just got my 2003 Mercedes ML back from the Ultimate Autohaus, and I am very happy with Owen's work...again. As always, he never sold me Stuff I don't need, never did he push parts or labor not necessary. He is a true Professional. That's why I always come back. I have known Owen since the late 90's and sent all of my Friends to him. His work is flawless and he uses the same Parts that the Dealer uses. So an Oil-change on my Car costs less than half of what the Dealer charges. Owen uses the same Filter, same Synthetic-Oil. He's got the same Diagnostic Tools and always finds out quickly what is wrong with my Car. The Brake pads he installed in my Car are the best thing since sliced Bread, no more Brake-dust! How cool is that? I used to spend a lot of Time cleaning my Wheels due to all the dust. Awesome stuff. Friends and Colleagues who bring their Cars never go back to the Dealer, Owen can repair and maintain the Cars much cheaper. I own a pre-owned car dealership and I work and have worked with many different mechanics and many different shops The owner/operators Owen and his partner Robert are two the best mechanic I've ever worked with. These guys know what they're doing. Though they can work on just about anything, they specialize in German cars. Mercedes, BMW and VW. I just brought them an 05 VW GTI that had an airbag light on. My other mechanic said it was a bad Air Bag Control Module, Clock Spring and Seat Belt Buckle. They wanted $800. I took it to Ultimate AutoHaus for a second opinion. It turned out to be a bad seat belt buckle and a bent bracket in the steering wheel. I supplied the seat belt buckle and Owen charged me $85 for the hour labor!
