Don and his wife Leyna are a wonderful duo - Don clearly takes a lot of pride in the way he runs his business and Leyna is bright, easy to communicate with and very personable. After purchasing the car, I had noticed issues with the rear door lock actuators and brought it up to Don and Leyna. Honestly, it didn't even occur to me to check because you just assume they worked fine. They were very gracious and offered to replace and fix the issues at a fraction of what it cost me. I think this is extremely generous considering the car was bought "As-is" and they had no responsibility to fix it after I drove it off the lot. I would give Don and Leyna 5 stars for hospitality and appearing to be expert in choosing high quality used cars for resale. Leyna was a sweetheart and Don seemed very professional at the business. But, I have my doubts about their transparency. We bought a "like new" 14 year old Toyota RAV4 around the first of April and paid over half the price it cost brand new in 2012. While driving it home, we noticed a whining noise from the transaxle. I took it to a Toyota dealership and was informed that service bulletin T-SB-01320-12, issued Aug 8, 2012 had advised to replace the transaxle. Apparently the replacement was never done on this car. The dealership's cost estimate to repair: $9957. Don didn't act surprised when I told him about the problem and honored our 30 day warranty by refunding me a measly $1300 which would have been half the cost that he estimated to replace the transaxle with a used one which could have the same problem. I found the perfect minivan for my family at this dealership. 2004 sienna, yes 20 years old but it's so beautiful and clean! I love it! The BEST deal in all of Southern California! Cleaned, and detailed. New tires. There was no better deal in all of southern CA! I'm freakin serious! I found out they've been in business for 23+ years! Same location, same name! Super impressive for a small sized dealership! Let me give you some pointers before coming here, because I'm super familiar with how the Asian dealerships work (I've been purchasing used vehicles in the Westminster area for decades now). #1: make sure you know what car you want before coming. It makes things a lot easier. Check their website. If it's listed on the site, it's there. I called to check and when I arrived, and the minivan was there. Very kind and friendly owner. #2: ask all and every question you can, when you arrive. The owner (Don Ho) and his wife (Leyna) treated me as if I was family. They will show you the carfax. Yes, they'll show it to you! This way you know that this dealership DOESNT roll back miles. You gotta check the carfax before buying any car to ensure that miles aren't rolled back. This dealership makes sure you're getting a legitimate car without rollback miles! Read all lines in the carfax so that you know what you're buying. I asked about the spare tire, where it was placed, and how to remove the spare tire. Don showed me every item that I asked about. Super knowledgeable guy. #3: this dealership doesn't push you to buy their cars. They greet you when you arrive, and let you examine the cars. If you have questions, you can ask. But they aren't like those American franchised dealerships where a car salesman will follow you every 5 seconds. This place gives you your space to examine the car. Keep in mind, it's not a gigantic dealership so they let you test drive if you're serious about buying. If you're just there to test drive a car and "try" the car out, without buying; this isn't the place to do that. #4: they share everything you want to know about the car. I even asked where I can buy a set of affordable replacement tires in the future (because I'm frugal and don't wanna spend a lot of money), and they referred me to a shop. I also asked where to get tint done, and they also showed me a super affordable place. This dealership is amazing! #5: know how you're gunna purchase the vehicle. If it's cash; super easy. But if you're gunna finance it, make sure you have your finances in order such as credit score and etc. they'll help you find a lender if you gotta finance, but you can prob do your own research to get a pre-approval first so that you'll know what interest rate you'll be getting. Do your homework haha Most of their vehicles are sold AS-IS, but I negotiated to have 30 day 50/50 split warranty. The warranty only covers engine & transmission. Doesn't cover wear & tear (o2 sensors, lightbulbs, etc). Long story short (and why they get 5+ stars) I returned a week later because there was something that bothered me with my minivan. They addressed it on the SPOT and I was off on my way the same day. They treated my as if I was family. Let me ask 1000 questions about everything. If you know me, I love to learn about things, and they told me whatever I wanted to know. I love the owners, truly love them. That's how awesome they are. They are the most honest sales dealership I've ever been to. I visited deluxe auto also, but their cars were filthy and dirty. Hi Auto Sales cleans all their cars. Bought 2008 Lexus GS 350 on December of 2022 , BLACK EXTERIOR AND BLACK INTERIOR TO BE EXACT VIN: JTHBE96SX80030463 , the deal was smooth they seem like honest people paid CASH THROUGH MY FEDERAL credit union $13,900 later to find out a few days later that check engine light came on , in my head I was like no big deal , took the car to a near by Lexus dealer just to find out that yes that car is shit , the previous owner or hi auto sales overheated car to much to the point where gaskets are bad cylinder 4 misfire coolant leaking in to engine , Lexus recommended a new engine assembly, when I bought the car hi auto sales , told me oh we just replaced the radiator and oil. Which it was done as you can see in the car fax , but that was all a Mickey Mouse temporary repair, sooner or later the check engine was going to come back on . So I return the car I told them the situation, hi auto sales took the car next door to inspected the car by there mechanic he did run the car ob2 scanner yes the code came back up I believe in his machine it was marking bad coolant sensor , they told me they will fix that but I didn't buy it I clearly told both don and his mechanic Lexus clearly stated this car needs a new engine assembly. After minutes of going back and forth they did not want to replace the engine with a used or new on instead they wanted to fix the car with a new coolant sensor , when clearly I showed them the diagnostic sheet of paper from Lexus stating the engine was bad After all I just decided to return the car , and I stopped the check from being cashed by my credit union luckily they hadn't cashed it yet that was a big relief or else I would been fucked and stuck with a lemon car! I've waited 3-4 weeks to see if they put the vehicle back in the market and today 1/9/23 I see they put the vehicle back on there site sneaky snakes!!! And did not even bother mentioning on there site was wrong with the vehicle BTW I PURCHASED THOSE WINDOWS TINTS cost me $500.00 I though you guys where going to removed them lies I hope who ever buys this vehicle inspects this car real GOOD ! UPDATE: There are several issues with the Toyota I bought from Hi Auto Sales. I had a mechanic do a full checkup on the car. He told me I need to get all 4 shocks replaced. The 4 shocks will cost me $700, plus labor AND I need an alignment! All this will cost me over $1,000!! Don told me the noise the car made was a minor issue that would only cost a few hundred to fix but that was a lie! The issue turns out to be the shocks! Also, the mechanic told me the tire pressure on the back tire was extremely low. This cars tires needs a special air gun so I had to go to a tire shop to get the air. Guess what they found in the tire! An old NAIL!! They told me it was dangerous to be driving the car around with the tire the way it was. So they had to remove the nail and patch up the tire $$. I can't believe Hi Auto Sales sold me the car with the tire like this... Also, the mechanic found the air filter was very dirty. I need to purchase a new air filter for it $$. Also, when I bought the car, the photos online did not show the cracks on the windshield. The windshield will need an adhesive so the cracks won't spread $$. The photos also did not show the wear and tear on the top of the car and the back of the car. I will also need to get the back tint from the back window removed which will cost me $150 for removal. There are so many bubbles that I cannot see through the back! With all these problems, I ended up paying way more than this high mileage car is worth!! I am not happy after discovering how much extra money I have to pay for this old used car! Old Review: I had an amazing experience at Hi Auto Sales! Don and Leena are both so kind and helpful in answering all questions I had about a 2009 Toyota Camry. I ended up purchasing the car today because I felt I could trust them. They even have the CARFAX on their website and they also show it to you when doing the paperwork. The paperwork process was smooth and I was out the door in about an hour! I will attest to some of the other reviews I've read about this place - don't come here for the customer service. HOWEVER, if you know what you want, it's a good deal. Their 'no negotiation' offer was much better than competitors advertised and still lower than what I estimated I could negotiate down at other places. I just bought a car from them and brought a mechanic friend along to check it out. So far so good - the car seems to be in amazing shape. I live in Arizona and was looking for a specific vehicle with specific model years online within the few nearby states because of growing family and found one Hi Auto Sales had with fairly low miles and seemingly good conditions at a very good price point. I called at 10 in the morning and spoke with Leyna, who was very helpful. She immediately gave me a video walk around upon request. Knowing the common problems this vehicle is prone to having and not being able to inspect it in person, I asked her whether I could have them take the vehicle to a nearby dealer for a pre purchase inspection with specific items on my list closely looked into. She and her husband Don were very easy to work with and brought the vehicle down to a Toyota dealership for inspection the same afternoon at 1:30. I paid for the inspection and got a detailed report. The specific items I wanted to make sure were good all passed with flying colors. They did find a low voltage battery and low brake pads, little things I could have easily taken care of myself. But Don and Leyna offered to put in a new battery and replace all pads (front and back) before the sale and did that the very next day and sent pics of the finished work. They did get a lot inquiries about the vehicle because of its price point and lower miles. But they stayed true with me and marked it as sales pending because I had paid for a pre-purchase inspection even though I never had to pay a deposit. The sale went through within 3 days and Leyna had great communication with me and kept me informed every step of the way. She was very courteous throughout the entire process. I arranged a shipper and got the vehicle within a few days. They were very helpful in after sale support also - they had to drive a couple of hours to the owners who traded the vehicle in to them to get the second set of keys and get a statement of error on a date correction on the title. Again Leyna kept me updated with very good communication every step of the way and sent me anything I needed right away. Overall I had a great experience doing this out of state purchase from them and the vehicle has been working out great for our family. Don and Leyna were very easy to work with and very helpful and accommodating to any requests I had. I would not hesitate to buy another vehicle from them next time! read more

Dealerships and their employees are usually trying to get you behind the wheel of anything as quickly as possible and make as much money off of you while they're at it. HI auto sales is different. All of their vehicles are used, but they focus on the Toyota/scion/lexus family and have a good selection for the size of their lot. I found a used vehicle they had listed online for a reasonable price, and since the dealership is near my office, I stopped in to check it out. I was greeted by Chris, who had a congenial no-pressure sales approach. He answered all the questions I had and gave me the best price he could offer. After I made up my mind, Don helped me through the paperwork and I was on my way. This will definitely be the first place I visit when I'm looking for another vehicle. This information was NEVER disclosed to me when I purchased the vehicle and now I am screwed because no dealer will trade my car in and I was basically told that my car is worthless! I now have to privately sell my car and take a HUGE loss. DO NOT buy from this dealer! They are deceitful and unprofessional! Plus: The dealer did offer to fix issues I found while having the car inspected a few days after. What I didn't like was that he (salesman/owner) did not allow me to take the vehicle for a pre purchase inspection. I drove from pretty far to come see the vehicle and I preferred to make that drive again. I ended up having to come back two more times for a total of three times. The car had more wear than what I believe was for the price they asked. They also had to keep the car for a week right after I bought it to complete repairs. As for the repairs, they were done but the people hired forgot to tighten a hose for the transmission and just sprayed some areas of poor welding. A plus as that the vehicle was low mileage. They also replaced the tires and rear brake pads. Another thing that wasn't great was that they don't finance businesses. Would I recommend the dealer to my friends? No. I didn't feel the value was there. Overpriced in my opinion. read more

My husband was trying to find a very particular model and package of used car, and a friend recommended I try working through a broker. I did and within a week he'd found us the car we wanted - at Hi Auto Sales. The price was negotiated by the broker with us and we drove down and got to the car lot at 9am right when they opened. We were shown the car and the manager was a little frustrated that his team hadn't moved the car out from the pile of other cars so we could easily test drive it. The team got the car out and accessible while they helped another woman who had arrived just before we did. Test drove the car, bought the car. Paperwork took about 30 minutes (no financing) and we drove off the lot. Downsides: the car is only a 2016 and has low miles but the front passenger window motor doesn't sound great and the car came to us with a rear cargo area cover that didn't work properly. Minor things but for the low age and mileage of the car I would have expected it to be closer to perfect. I would have expected them to test and catch all these things. The break fluid was kind of low when we were checking things on the lot and they topped that off for us when we asked. Staff was overall very friendly and professional. I would not mind working with them again, but it's a used car lot so you should still try to be extremely diligent yourself. read more

I have been shopping for a Lexus RC 200 for some time. I could never find one in my price range. Came across a white 200T F Sport for $23,000, 60k miles. Once I arrived I was given the keys, no hassle, I inspected the vehicle myself, once interested we took it for a test drive. I got a loan through my credit union and I purchased the car a few days later. As I was leaving the lot my ABS and BSM notifications popped up. I called Don and he told me to bring the car in for inspection. I returned 3 days later and Don had the vehicle inspected at the shpp next door, they identified the problem and purchased a new wheel bearing for me. No cost! I was pleasantly surprised that I didn't have to dish out more money since the insurance for this car is insane. Very happy with my purchase, highly recommended and great customer service.
